Problem syncing Audio Books

Hi, i have this audio book from my brother,
When i dropped it in itunes library,it just add to the music list like a song,
I want it to be shown in the AudioBooks page,
when i synced my IPOD even there the audiobook is in the MUSIC directory, not in the Audiobooks directory,
Can anyone help me in placing the audiobooks in the correct folder,
Thankyou................

It sounds like it's tagged as music , not an audio book . i get that alot .
what i do is connect my ipod , itouch , to my itunes and i believe its right click and the info for the track comes up and one of those selections is voice , music or audio book . Change each to audio book and that works .
hope it works for you . thats all i know .good luck .

How do I sync audio books from iTunes in iPad with my new iPhone 4???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • Syncing audio books

I can not sync audio books to my blackberry- which is one of the reasons I got this phone!  I have not been able to get some of the music from Roxio or WMP either?  Is there an application I need to download?

I have not tried audiobooks yet, but when you plug in your BB to your desktop, you should enable mass storage. If you do, your computer will recognize it as an external drive in My Computer. All you will need to do is click on your audiobook, and drag it into your BB. I hope this works.

  • Syncing Audio Book Problem

    Hello everyone,
I downloaded an audio book to my iPhone ($9.99) and I synced my iPhone with my brother's MacBook and it deleted the audio book from my iPhone and it uploaded it to my brother's MacBook. How do I get the audio book back into my MacBook?

    Burn it onto a CD.

  • Ibook sync problems also audio books wont play correctly

I updated my ipad from 4.3 to 5.0.1 now I am unable to sync my books in one go with out the other folder showing in excess of 24gigs plus when I try to listen to an audio book ipod player will only play the first chapter then I need to select the next chapter and so on where as with 4.3 the chapters would just play one after the other I would be great ful of any help thank you.

Just I case any ones reading this I've found out that I'm not the only one who's suffering these faults with all of the apple products i.e. iPod touch, iPhones, and the iPads are all the same with this spurious other folder in iTunes when the devices are plugged in when I contacted apple care for help with this the so called technication tried to explain it was the iOS operating system that was accounting for the other folder when asked to explain how any operating system for a tablet or any device could be in the region of and above 20gigs he just went silent and it was hard to get another word from him he even refused to allow me to speak to his boss???
As for the audio books the only work round I have found is to use a free programme called Audacity 1.3 for windows you can also get this prog for the mac as well it allows you to stitch audio files together so in stead of having for example 3 large files for and audio book with say 5 chapters in each file you can stitch them all together as one large 15 chapter file it also allows you to adjust the meta data which is very handy.
Depending on how many chapters you have can take some time to do this but is so well worth it when if it was not done you could have an audio book with 150 chapters of 3 mins long which would mean every 3 mins you would have to select the next chapter to play or if it was all stitched together you just select remember last position in the iTunes file info and no more worrying about selecting the next chapter and if you don't listen to the audio book right the way through you can start off right where you left it last time.
I hope that this info has helped any one who like myself is having the same fault with their audio books not playing correctly.

  • Help with syncing audio books to my phone

I have an iPhone and I'd like to be able to sync certain audio books to it but not others. I have a ton of books and do not need all of them at one time. Is this possible?

Make a playlist for each book, then sync whichever playlist you like.

  • Can you sync audio books pause points between devices

    Greetings.
I use different devices to listen to audio books, i.e. iPhone, iPad, Mac Pro...
Is there a way to keep the pause points synced between devises. i.e. listening to an audio book in car on iPhone, getting home, going to your desktop and resuming where you left off on your iPhone.
    Thanks.

Well I feel a little ridiculous now. I don't know why I didn't think of that, thanks

  • Problems with audio book

I have purchased "God is Not Great" Audio Book by Peter Hitchens. This is a 4 part audiobook - each part being approx 2 hourss long. It plays fine on the computer but doesn't work at all on my iPod nano. It transfers from the computer to the nano with no problem but when I play it on the nano the screen just cycles repeatedly through the four parts in quick succession and no sound comes out.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, after a couple of hours scouring the net and pulling my hair out, I now have to confess that I have solved my own problem - an embarrassingly easy solution as it turns out!
I have now gone to 'settings' on my iPod and found that audiobooks was unchecked for the menu options.  I simply checked it again and 'hey presto' - suddenly I can find my audiobook on the iPod.

  • Is any one else having problems converting audio books in WMA format with the new v5

Is any one having trouble with audio books in WMA formatting converting with the new ios v5

Since updating to OS5 in my itouch I have lost all my library audio books. I have downloaded a couple of new library audio books. The books look like they are being loaded into my itouch but are not there. The only way I can access them is to make a playlist for each book and drag the numbered files into the playlist folder. There are a lot of problems with this method - book chapters are not in order (I have to tried to reorder them without success) and if I stop listening to a book, when it starts again it starts at the beginning of the chapter. Before OS5 I had no trouble with WMA files or anything for that matter. I hope there is a solution soon.

  • Problems transferring audio books to ipod

I've just purchased an audio book on the itunes store. It's downloaded to my itunes library but I can't transfer it to my ipod. I've authorised my computer with the same ID that I used to purchase the book. Any ideas? Thanks heaps

Does other media like soogs sync to the iPod?

  • Problems syncing ePub book

I have a book in ePub format, I have added it to the books library in itunes just fine, I can see it in my library and it syncs just fine with my iPhone 4s. When i try to sync it with my iPad it does not show up in iBooks on the iPad but does show up on iPhone. Under the iPad settings I have sync ALL books, there is a check next to the book in question. I have noticed this to be true on a number of items but this one book I want on the iPad. I do have "some" books on the iPad and they are syncing just fine, so its not a complete fail on syncing. Any ideas??
current mac os, current iphone version, this is the first gen iPad but current IOS.

First: The "apply" (and "revert) button appears (instead of the "sync" button) when you've changed sync settings - it is even enough to tick (put the check mark in the little box) 1 book that wasn't ticked before to get "apply" instead of "sync" as button.
Second: the message about deleting comes when you have unticked some books that were ticked before. It only means they will be deleted from iPad but stay on your computer. You can always sync them again when you tick them.
Syncing works in a way that you not only tick the new books you want to sync, but also leave every book ticked which is already synced to your iPad. That means iTunes will keep everything the way it was and only add the new books. But if you only tick the new books, iTunes thinks you don't want to sync the old books anymore and will remove them from your iPad. That of course also goes for music, movies etc.

  • Problems playing Audio Books

I have purchased and downloaded 2 audio books from iTunes, when I try to play them back I select 'Audio Books' on the iPod and then get a message saying "No Audio Inputs" and I cannot access the audio books. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I have so many audiobooks I can't utilize the Audiobooks option under Music tab for the iTouch. In order to transfer an audiobook I want to listen to I create a playlist containing the book of interest and transfer by checking the corresponding playlist.
