Problem syncing iPhone 5s with latest iOS 7

Got an iPhone 5S and since the last upgrade og iOS 7 have experienced problems with syncing in iTunes on Mac, Checked music will not copy across and lost contacts on my phone

I got my brand new iphone 5s on 23 march. And my ios is not 7.1 til now, i dont do the update because affraid of some issues. It's 7.05. Actually it is a little bit strange while others claim that previous ios before 7.1 is 7.06. But i dont want to get too close with issues so i dont do the update.
And dont worry when you do the back up by plugging it into itunes. You can do the update either not. It's your choice. There will be notification for you if you want do the update. If no, you can still do the back up. IPhone 5s is amazing, hope they will release new ios soon to fix the hapening problems. hehehe

  • I have just updated my iPhone 4 with latest IOS 7 and now wi fi greyed out and Bluetooth not working. Tried reset, restore everything - no use. Its out of warranty too. I refuse to pay for a new phone when clearly this is an apple issue not phone issue.

Can anyone help? I updated my iPhone 4 with latest iOS 7 and now wi fi is greyed out, Bluetooth won't work and tbh am so angry! Phone now out of warranty so apple won't help without it costing me. Don't want to pay as its an apple problem not phone problem. It worked ok before. Tried everything, even clearing it down. Can't even back it up now unless I connect to a pc!

I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version.  I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again.  I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again.  My blue tooth doesn't work either.  I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this.  When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue.  My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!!  I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue.  Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it.  Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple.

  • I am continually getting error -69 when syncing iPad Air with latest iOS and iTunes versions. Any suggestions?

I am continually getting error -69 when syncing iPad Air with latest iOS and iTunes versions. Any suggestions?

    Try Googling "sync without iTunes".
There are free alternatives and there are not so free alternatives.
Btw, to check if AVG is causing the problem, you should uninstall AVG and not just "turn it off".
Also, can you describe how you go about uninstalling a program? For example, how did you "delete" iTunes?

  • Some games like metal storm are choppy or heavy on my iphone 4 with latest ios, some games like metal storm are choppy or heavy on my iphone 4 with latest ios

some games like metal storm are choppy or heavy on my iphone 4 with latest ios

It depends on how much you want the new apps.  iOS 7 did slow down the iPhone 4 a little bit.  Not a lot, but you will notice a bit of lag for awhile.  You should get used to it and you will then be able to download the newer apps you are interested in.
iOS 7 does look very different from iOS 6.  They did away with all the faux leather, stitching, glossy reflections and other skeuomorphic touches that had been the iPhones trademark look since the beginning.  Google iOS 7 images and you will see what I mean. I personally like the "flat" look that they went with in 7 and the other features that come with it make up for it.
Some people do have a problem with battery life on their phones, but I think a lot of that comes from using the phone a lot in the beginning to see all the new stuff.  But if you set it up the way you like and turn off the real battery drainers like push email and the screen animations (I got tired of those really fast anyway, I just want an app to open, I don't need to see it spring out of the icon) and your battery life should not be worse than what you are used to.
You will see a huge jump in performance between an iPhone 4 and a 5S.

  • HT5868 Unable to sync iPhone 5 with latest version of iTunes

Since updating to version 11.1.4 of iTunes, I am unable to sync my iPhone 5 with my PC. When connecting to the PC, I get a message asking whether I want to trust this computer. Since I've synced with it about a hundred times already, obviously I clicked on Trust.
After clicking on Trust, my PC is able to access the photos/etc on the phone - but iTunes will not sync. Further, it does not remember that I have selected to Trust the PC. (I also opted to Not Trust one time, and it didn't remember that either.)
My PC is running Windows 8, but it was perfectly happy to sync my iPhone 5 before this latest iTunes update, which seems to have broken something pretty fundamental. Apple, please issue a fix, or alternatively let me go back to 11.1.3 (which was working absolutely fine for me).

Did I suggest that you were Apple? Do you believe that every comment mentioning an Apple product is aimed at you personally? Or that, if someone sounds off in a moment of frustration, it is directed at you? Or that you need to point out interminably that Apple don't actually monitor these threads? Because, if you do... get help!
If you look at the thread you will see that someone else (you know, one of those pleasant people I mentioned?) *has* helped - and I'm genuinely grateful! Thank you!

  • Custom Ringtones Will Not Sync to iPhone 4s with Latest iOS

I have been using a custome ringtone on my iPhone 4s for about a year and a half now without an issue.  Today, I went to add another and when I went to sync it to the phone, It showed up in iTunes (under the device) grayed out, with a dotted circle next to it and it does not show up in the phone.  Just to try something, I deleted my original ringtone and the new one from iTunes, then imported them both back into the library.  I tried to sync again and neither show up in iTunes, under the device nor the phone.
What can I do to fix this?

    More information...
In order for me to get this to do anything at all, I had to drag the file from the Tones folder in the Library to the phone.  I just did this with both of my ringtones and my original is now back on the phone, but the new one is still grayed out in iTunes in the Tones folder under the device with the dotted circle next to it.
    HELP!!!

  • Problems upgrading iPhone 4 to latest iOS (7.1.2)

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade an iPhone 4 from iOS 6.0.1 to the latest version (7.1.2) but facing the dreaded 3194 error in iTunes. I have tried everything from resetting my hosts file to disabling my firewall and anti-virus but the error just will not go away.. it occurs right at the end of the restore process after the software has been restored and is being verified. I looked through the update log and it seems to be an issue with updating the baseband. Copying a section of the log below.
This phone has never been jailbroken or modified in any way. Please help!!!

    Hi Md. Abdur Rahman,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
If your iPhone 4 is restarting unexpectedly, there are a few things to do depending on how frequently this is happening.
If it is restarting intermittently (from time to time), you may want to back up your data and restore the iPhone to factory settings:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If the same thing occurs, this article suggests contacting Apple Support for more help:

  • Problems Syncing iPhone 4S with MS Outlook 2010 after years of no problems

For several years, I have sync'ed my iPhone 4S regularly and flawlessly using itunes with my Windows 7 desktop that was running Outlook 2010.
Last week, disaster struck and my hard drive failed and had to be replaced. Luckily, my backup drive had everything on it, so I replaced the failed drive, then copied my outlook.pst file back on the new drive, as well as all my iTunes songs. Outlook and Itunes were installed for a fresh start.
Unfortunately, I tried to sync my iPhone with the "new" computer today, and the process seems to get stuck at the "Syncing contacts (Step 3 of 7)" during the syncing procedure. It has been at that phase in the process for over 3 hours? Will I hurt the files if I cancel the process?
I there anyway to fix this? Syncing the iphone with outlook is an essential feature.
Are there settings to start with a computer with a new hard disk, but all the old data?
    Please help!

I have 3 iPhone 4's and I'm having this problem on all 3 of them.  We upgraded to iTunes 11.4.0.18 and we have Outlook 2010 and it just gets stuck on (Step 3 of 7) Syncing Contacts.  We left it running overnight and it was still stuck.  When this happens the progress bar keeps moving making you think it is working, but it is stuck.
I wish someone from Apple would help.  We just ordered iPhone 6 phones and we need to backup so we can restore our old info.

  • Weird problem syncing iPhone 3G with Outlook. Stopped working?

    Hi,
I really hope this isn't a repetitive question; I tried searching around the internet and either found no solution that worked, or problems similar but not quite the same as mine.
Anyhow, I just got an iPhone 3G last week and I'm running a PC with Outlook to sync my phone. The first few days all the syncs went 100%, updates calendar/contacts no problem. Then, this afternoon it stopped working. No matter what updates I make to my Outlook or my iPhone, nothing will sync. I plug in the iPhone and sync through iTunes, it says "syncing" but no longer goes into "syncing contacts" then "syncing calendar" etc. I even tried importing my IE bookmarks and got nothing. It almost seems like iTunes stopped "talking" to Outlook?
I've tried playing with the settings in the info tab of iTunes, I've played around in the trust center of Outlook, made new data files, etc and I just uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes, all doing nothing.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    John

After almost 1 week of sheer frustrations, I have been unable to connect my Iphone 3G to my exchange server at work.
I have tried probably every method discussed here, including restoring my iphone 3G several times. My issue has been elevated all the way up to apple engineering, and still no solution.
It appears that the issue is that I cannot connect because my company is using Exchange server 2003 with SP1.
I can connect any Windows Smartphone or Pocket PC and it will sync in what seems seconds….very fast. I have used windows phones connected to our server for more than 4 years, never an issue.
My company has the attitude of we “We don’t want you to connect, you are lucky to be able to use active sync on windows phones!!” So their change is not probable.
Has anyone found a way to connect Iphone 3G to an Exchange Server 2003, SP1?

I am running Windows 7 with Office 2010 including Outlook 2010.
When I received my Iphone 4 three weeks ago, syncing with Contacts and Calendars worked fine.
After having updated OS on the phone and Itunes on the computer, I get the following error message:
"Itunes kunne ikke indlæse dataklasseoplysninger fra Synkroniseringstjenester. Opret forbindelse igen eller prøv senere"
The syncing of music and apps work perfectly.
    PLEASE HELP

Still no help, no sulution to Apple iPhone sync problems with Calendar...? I wish someone from Apple, or someone with specific knowledge could help! Windows XP Professional, Outlook 2003 to iPhone 4S (2012) does not communicate any Calendar entries between the two machines.
Strange thing is that it worked when iPhone was newly purchased for about a month, then stopped??
Even stranger is that Contacts get synced just fine between the two machines?
Anyone who could help, please post your comments in Apple Support Discussions

  • Not getting email alerts- iPhone 4 with latest IOS 6 and Yahoo

I noticed recently that I have not been getting email alerts when I receive emails on my iphone/iPad.  I have a yahoo account.  I checked the settings.  The notification shows that alerts for mail are on.  Push is on as well.  I am wondering if there is a server issue with Yahoo?
The only time I know if I have new emails is if I go into the app itself.  But the app icon will not show me alerts.  I tried deleting the account and reinstalling it. No luck..... Any ideas?

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?

  • Problem syncing iPhone apps with iTunes 12 on Windows XP

I'm having problems on multiple machines completing a first sync after restoring from iTunes backup.
I keep getting this pop-up error message once iTunes has identified the apps to sync (Step 7 of 7)
"The exception unknown software exception (Oxc0000417) occured in the application at location 0x78b2af3e"
I've attempted a complete iTunes re-install but it still throws up the same error
Has anyone else come across this problem?

Lovely, helpful detail, scott. Many thanks.
Get an error message "The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple Application Support\Core Media.dll is not a valid Windows image.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Add or Remove programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click Repair.
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post (although it's for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things):

hi ,iphone 4s with latest ios 7.0.3 upgrade won't sync with itunes ,help please ????????????

I am using 11.1.3.  Still having issues.  I did a complete restore.  The first time I synced, it worked.  The second time, and every time since, it has hung up on the final step.  Hangs there forever.
Interestingly, my wife uses the same Mac as a different user.  She has an iPhone 5.  When she is logged into her side of the Mac, syncing her phone, she is now having the same issue.

Restore it using the computer it normally syncs with, this should not require an iOS update.
