Problem syncing iTunes app and Music app

I recently purchsed my iphone 4s, I have synced the ipone and my pc with the intent to transfer my music. The music shows up in the purchased section of my itunes app, but when I open my music app it says there is no content. How do I sync the 2?

Make sure your computer is authorized for the Apple ID used to purchase this music (iTunes: Store>Authorize this computer), connect your phone and check your sync preferences in iTunes on the Summary tab to ensure that you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos", and that you have selected to sync music on the Music tab. Finally, make sure you have checked all the songs in your library that you want to sync to your phone, then sync.

Problems syncing iTunes 11.4 music to iTunes 4s

When I upgraded to iTunes 11.4, changes where made to many of my music files - mainly Album Artist, as well as Genre. Once I edited these files and went to sync iTunes to my iPhone 4s, the files I edited would not sync. I use the option of automatically syncing all my entire Library, however, I switched to manual and these songs still wouldn't sync.
Also much of my album artwork didn't sync.

iTunes will only import music purchased from the iTunes store. If you need to import music to iTunes from your phone that wasn't purchased from iTunes you will need to use 3rd party software to do so, such as Touch Copy.

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.

Import the music and photos from the memory card with your computer and place the music in your iTunes library.
Place the photos in a folder to be designated for transfer to your iPhone.
Select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to transfer this music and any other music in your iTunes library and select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the folder where these photos are located followed by a sync.

I'd like to report a problem with iTunes Match and Natalie Cole's song "This will be (an everlasting love)".
When I stream it or download it on another device I don't get Natalie Cole's song but another one from Maxine Nightingale (Right back where we started from).
Please tell me if you have the same problem or how I can report this problem to apple.

My gen5 80gig syncs some movies and music then stops and makes a weird sound and i know theres nothing wrong with the music or movies and i don't know what to do I've tried the 5R's, restoring in disk mode everything so HELP!

There could be problems with the iPod's file structures so it might pay to check it for errors. Try putting the iPod in disk mode thus; hold Menu+Select for about 6 seconds until it resets, then hold Menu+Play as soon as the Apple logo appears, again for about 6 seconds to put the machine in disk mode. Close iTunes if it's open. Once in disk mode connect to your computer, then browse *My Computer* and right-click on the drive for the iPod, click Properties, then click Tools. Under Error-checking, click *Check Now*. Under Check disk options, select *Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors*. Click Start. Mac users should run *Disk Utility / Repair Disk* for the equivalent process. This should find and correct any errors in the logical & physical structures of your iPod's hard drive. Once these have been fixed you can reset the iPod (hold Menu+Select ) and should stand a better chance of successfully transfering files.

I recently upgraded from itunes 7 to itunes 8 on my windows XP PC. That's when i had issues syncing my 2nd gen shuffle.
When i try to drag songs directly on it, itunes says i can't
I made a playlist and use auto fill. But when I remove it from the dock, it's either not updated, or the new songs are at the bottom of the playlist when they are supposed to be up higher. I end up having to hit auto fill twice to make it sync correctly.

unchecked options: open itunes when ipod is attached, Sync only checked songs, convert higher bit rate songs to 128kbps AAC, Enable sound check, Limit MAX volume, enable disk use
All those are NOT checked. Sometimes i enable disk use for seeing the IPOD_Control folder, but either way it still messes up.

This is a well-known issue. Apple changed the internal file names used with iTunes 8, which makes the ordering on 2nd generation Shuffles behave differently. There is no good workaround, apart from moving the files with a hand-crafted AppleScript program.
Apple has been silent on the issue, so nobody knows if we'll ever have a fix for it or not.

Did you check your security software settings? eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

Multiple itunes libraries and music folders

I have itunes libraries and music folders on my computerd hard drive and 2 external drives. How do I get it all into one library on one drive without losing my music? Please help I have been trying to figure this out for a long time. Thanks Michael

Transfer iTunes Library and Music to new computer

I know this has probably been asked many times before but can anyone help me transfer my iTunes Library and Music files to my new computer. I just bought a new iMac and need to move things. I had previously moved my Music files to my external hard drive as my old computer hard drive was getting full. So I have my Library on my old computer and my Music files on my external hard drive. I want to transfer both onto my new computer (both on internal hard drive).
How do I do this?

Yes, read the other discussion and what I am saying to do is copy the iTunes folder from the internal drive onto the external drive with the music already stored there.
You should now be able to open the library directly from that location using the linked start up directions from the other thread. If that works, you can then move the drive to another computer and open the library there using the same start up instructions.

Can a home iMac and office PC sync iTunes apps & music?

I just bought an imac for my home. How and can I sync my office PC-itunes account (music & app) to my new imac at home? I set up home sharing at my office PC to no avail...thusfar.

I use a MacBookPro and run Windows XP Pro using Parallels for my work applications like ACT! (CRM), Outlook for email and IE for IE specific web sites. All of my personal and business contacts and calendar events are done in ACT! All of my music and podcast are on the Mac side in iTunes.
I have my iPhone set up to sync music and podcast on the Mac iTunes and my contacts and calendar on the Windows side in iTunes for Windows. There is a bug in Parallels that does not allow iTunes (WinXP) to see the iPhone. You have to manually restart the Apple Communication applet in the OS Services Manager. Once that is done, the iPhone shows up in iTunes (WinXP) and the sych works fine.
I use Companionlink Pro on the WinXP side to bidirectionally sync ACT with Outlook so that the iPhone can sync with Outlook using my ACT contacts and calendar.
It all works great! The result is that my iPhone has become my only phone for both work and play.

Problem with iTunes app (swiping to delete a download deletes another item)

While browsing and downloading podcasts directly on the iPad using the iTunes app, I noticed that swiping to delete a download has the tendency to delete ANOTHER download in queue (i.e. NOT the item that was swiped!). Please fix this!
