Problem syncing Macbook Itunes to Ipad

Have not been able to sync artist from Macbook to Ipad. I clicked artist name and there are several albums associated with name but only 1 album synced. Then clicked album name and clicked apply but still will not sync. I recently upgraded to Itunes 10.

Try resetting your iPad. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Connect the iPad to your Mac, then try iTunes / Artist.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

IPad Mini - problem syncing with iTunes

I've a problem syncing my iPad Mini with iTunes. I've a Macbook Pro 10.8.2 and also iTunes 11.0.1. Everything seems to be right. At the bottom line "how many GB is left", video and music shows sometime, but disappear when I try to sync. HT1386 Sync problem from Macbook Pro to iPad 4

I managed to download the music I purchased from iTunes to my Macbook Pro. I also managed to sync the music with my iPhone 5 so that I have all purchased music on the iPhone. However, I fail to sync the same music from the Macbook to my iPad 4. Any clue?

If you don't know what iTunes Match is, you don't use it. You have to subscribe to it before you can use it and I'm sure you would've remembered that. So that rules that one out.
if you have two different Apple ID's - and I mean two different Apple ID's that you have purchased content with, you have to be signed into that account on your iPad in order to sync that content from iTunes.
Podcasts used to appear in the Music App, IIRC but then Apple released a podcast app a while back. If you don't have the podcast app look in the Music App in the More button at the bottom of the screen to see if the podcast is in there. If it is a video podcast look in the Videos App for it.
When you connect your iPad to your Mac, after iTunes is running and you have clicked on your device name in the left sidebar, you want to look in the iTunes window on the right side in order to see what is synced to your device. There is a row of tabs across the top of the window, Summary, Info, Apps, etc.
Click on Music and you should see something like this. I sync selected items - not my entire iTunes library.

Controlling the Syncing of iTunes to iPad

I have e-books that I store on an external HD and use iTunes to sync them to my iPad.
Once I have them in my iPad I don't need them in iTunes anymore - so I delete them in iTunes - I want to free up this disk space (I don't read these ebooks on my MacBook.
How can I set iTunes that it doesn't update from my iPad all the ebooks I deleted in iTunes whenever I connect my iPad to my Macbook?
Any ideas welcome.

I managed to recover the files from the iPad by getting a piece of software to copy them from the iPad but this is far from ideal - is this going to happen again? Do I have to backup everytime I make a purchase just to be sure iTunes isn't going to decide to delete it?

Problems syncing with iTunes 8

My iPhone used to be able to plug into iTunes and the normal occurrence of the 'sync in progress' screen would show up and continue syncing as normal. Ever since iTunes 8, I plug n my iPhone and the screen goes off and iTunes freezes without successfully syncing new data. Am I the only on experiencing this and does anyone have a suggestion?

I am having problems syncing my iTunes music to iTunes Match. ITunes shuts down after the 2nd step every time. Does anyone know how to fix?

Every time iTunes Match starts up, it gets to Step 2, almost makes it to Step 3, and then crashes and shuts down iTunes. I've restarted the computer, and reinstalled iTunes for Windows. Anyone have any idea what I should do next? There are songs that I can't sync to my iPhone 5S because of this.

I have a regular post for the top 3 or 4 fixes for that 9808 error. Obviously you are going to skip #1, since you've already tried it. Let me know how you get on with the next 2.
The top 3 fixes to itunes error 9808 seem to be
1) Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced, make sure that SSL 3.0 is checked and TLS 1.0 is checked. Also under Security make sure that the “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)” is unchecked. Then click ok and fire up iTunes.
2) The culprit was Norton. The users are set up as Admin and Standard. I have Parental Controls turned on in both Vista as well as Norton. Admin users had no problems connecting to iTunes. Standard users would get the error. I had to go to Norton’s Personal Firewall and add the program “iTunes Helper.exe” and set the option to “Allowed” (”iTunes.exe should already be in the Allowed category.) in order for the standard users to be able to connect.
3) close iTunes if you have it open right now. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes. Delete or cut the preferences.xml file which contains your iTunes preferences. Then go to C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes and delete or move the preferences.xml file. For Mac users, there is only one file you must delete or move a to a new location and is located at User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.itunes.plist. Restart iTunes and it will recreate those two (or one) files with the default settings. Feel free to set your preferences back to what they were and then connect to the iTunes store and enjoy!
And #4, see if you can get into the iTS from a different windows admin account on the same PC.

Yeah, sorry, you're stuck with it. Once it downloads it's there and cant be deleted.
HOnestly, you won't get carplay (and even if you did there are no cars currently on the market that support it) nor will you get the fingerprint scanning. You'll have the option for buttons again, along with a thicker font and a couple of other visual things.
The only way to keep updates from being manually pushed out is to keep your device full enough that there's no room for it to download.

Syncing from iTunes to iPad deletes content from iTunes

I recently bought three TV series to watch while going away for a few days. They downloaded fine to my iTunes Library and I synced them to my iPad. I watched them on my iPad through ATV2 and today I went back to the iTunes library only to find that none of the episodes in those tv series are physically in my library any more. Itunes thinks they are there but the files are actually missing. I still have them on my iPad.
Any ideas? I am going to be very annoyed if Apple claim I have to buy them again.

I have ipad2 wifi3G and downloaded ios5 no problems syncing with itunes until just recently. Am unable to finish sync. Anything?

Are you using a computer that has perviously been authorized for the Digital Downloads? have you authorized your iPad? I had the same issue with migrating apps from an iPod Touch to a Verizon iPhone 4. Once I signed in with the Apple ID on the device and authorized the compute with the same Apple ID, I was able to sync the apps. Hope this helps.

HT4918 Sync macbook bookmarks with ipad 3

I have macbook with snow lepoard os and a new ipad 3. I am very new to apple products and icloud and I am trying to figure out how I can get my bookmarks off of my macbook onto my ipad. Do I have to have an icloud account??? I don't have mobile me. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You will need OS X 10.7.2 or better in order to use iCloud and sync your bookmarks.
