Problem syncing some photos to I Pad 2

Hi,
I have tried to sync approx 450 photos to my I pad. However of the 450 approx only 390 have synced. All of the photos were taken within a week (holiday).
Some photos taken on the same, day of which some have synced and some not. I have been through the basics and picked the folders etc I wish to sync but no joy. I did notice that the problem photos had a different date in 'photo info' This was due to a change of battery in camera and not resetting current time and date. I have reset the time and date on all photos yet still the same 60 will not sync. Camera used is a fuji f610.
Any ideas would be much appreciated,
Gary

I am having the same problem.  Some albums copied over to my ipad.  Of a total 7241 pictures only 1971 synced over to my ipad.  I did go to itunes preference>devices>and checked prevent autosync.  Then checked the albums that did not sync and tried to sync again.  I still have not had any results.  Hopefully someone can answer both of our issues at the same time.

  • I'm having problems syncing some photos in my iphoto library.

Some of my photos sync but others do not. All photos were downloaded to Iphoto from two different cameras. I have selected several folders and events to sync but out of 1300 photos only 800 sync.  I have plenty of space on the I Pad and have emptied the cache as the help screen suggested.

You deleted the iPod Photo Cache folder according to these intructions? If not, try this.

  • Can't Sync some photo's

    Hi all,
This is my first post so be gentle. I am having a problem syncing some photo's to my iPhone. It seemed to have started recently. I like to add Images that I am editing to show people work in progress. When I try to sync my photos I get a message "Some of your photo's were not copied to the iPhone because they cannot be displayed on your iPhone". These are images that are no different than any other image I've been able to sync in the past. A secondary issue arises from when I try to get them on to the phone via e-Mail. The image in the e-Mail displays fine but when saved to the image gallery they just fall apart.
I am using Version 2.2.1 of the OS on a 2nd Generation iPhone. It seems like one of the last updates caused it but I can't be sure.Anybody have any idea what's going on?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Have you just updated to IOS6? If so I had a similar issue, but it was also messing up the pictures. Their thumbnails looked bad and many were blank when opened.
    Here'w what helped me:
I deleted the "ipod photo cache" directory on the machine I sync from. This allowed my pictures to sync better (they were all messed up after each sync before I did that step).
I then noticed that even though I had the include video checkbox selected my videos did not sync. I unchecked it then did a sync followed by checking it and doing a sync then it did get all my videos too,
Instead of deleting the ipod photo cache directory you could rename it just to be safe and keep it around
    hope that helps

  • The ipad won't sync some photos, saying the file can't be read by the ipad, however it will sync some photos taken at the same time which are the same size and file type.  Why does it reject some and accept others?

The ipad won't sync some photos, saying the file can't be read by the ipad, however it will sync some photos taken at the same time which are the same size and file type.  Why does it reject some and accept others?

Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?
    Any advice gratefully received!

  • Problem dragging some photos into book.. they don't show at all.

I have a problem dragging some photos into a book. I've never had this issue before. I can tell that "something" has moved because it often has a ! for resolution issues and the photo has the white check that signifies it has been used....but the photo doesn't show at all.
The photos were made into sepia prints.
Help! Any suggestions about what could be wrong?
    Thanks for any advice.

The ! indicates that iPhoto has broken/lost the file path to the original file. Make a backup copy of the library and run the three fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
    Fix #2
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos.
    Fix #3
Start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
    1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.

  • I recently syncs some photos from my PC to my Iphone 4. When I press on one of the new pictures a picture of one of my old pictures shows up. How can I fix it??      iPhone4.  Just updated

You do NOT have duplicates.  This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in your Itunes Library and that exact same song can be accessed from a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos can be accessed from the album.

  • Taking hours to sync some photos to my iphone 4.

Im trying to sync some photos to my iphone 4. i left it running for hours while i went to sleep, when i woke up it was still synching.
i restored my phone and i tried to just sync a folder of 15 photos and that took 30min.
    Please advise

They are probably damaged by your description of their behavior. There is probably nothing you can do other than to try using a paid third-party app to see if you can recover them, and even then there is no guarantee it will work.

Connect your iPad to iTunes via cable (or correctly set WiFi sync options), select your device, select the Photos tab, then choose what you want to sync.

  • Problems syncing iPad photos and Aperture

I think my iPod Photo database is corrupting for some reason as I keep getting intermittent problems syncing photos from Aperture across to my iPad.
Running Lion 10.7 on a Mac Mini with Aperture 3.1.3 and each time I get the error if I delete the iPod Photo folder it will do a full resync the next time I connect, but with over 5000 photos it takes some time.
Anyone had a similar problem or know why it might be doing it?
    Thanks

From your words "syncing with my old iMac" it appears that you are now syncing to a different computer. What might work for directly imported photos (emailed, CCK, screen shots) is to connect your iPad to your new computer and right click on the iPad in the left part of iTunes and select the backup option. When that is complete then you right click and select transfer purchases. Then let iTunes erase the Ipad and replace it with the contents of iTunes on the new computer and then restore from backup
Photos synced to the iPad are not included in the backup and those will be lost unless you can get them from your original computer. However, there may be some third-part computer programs that can get the synced photos off the iPad.

  • Problems syncing selected photos

Can someone please please please help me....????
I'm trying to sync photos to the ipad but am having a real problem, for some reason the 'selected folders' tab doesn't highlight and I can only select the 'all folders' tab and then when I try and select a folder it only allows me to pick one folder, I hope that this makes sense...???
Oh and can you please make your answer quite simple as I am a newbie and a total technaphobe ....!!!

    You can only select one folder as your sync folder. If you have multiple folders, you can make subfolders, but only one level of those. Below is a detailed procedure for doing this on a Windows machine;
    For windows pc's Photo albums:
    1) Create a master sync folder on your pc with no photo files at the root level of the folder.
    2) Create sub-folders within the master sync folder with the subfolders named what you want the ipad's photo albums to be named.
    3) Place the photo files you want to sync in the appropriate subfolder within the master sync folder.
    4) In itunes on the photos tab, select the master folder as the sync folder.
    5) After syncing, each subfolder will be an album on the ipad with the proper photos contained there-in.
    Hope this helps...

  • Problem syncing stacked photos

I have the latest iTunes and Photoshop Elements 4.0. I've created collections in Photoshop and I'm trying to sync the collections to my iPod. iTunes only sync's photos that are NOT stacked. Thus if I have a collection of 50 photos, but 40 of them are part of a stack, only the remaining 10 photos sync to the iPod.
I have thousands of photos in Photoshop, and stacking is an important organzation feature for me. I don't want to unstack them just so that I can sync them to my iPod.
I'd like to use the collections as a way to sync a subset of photos and keep them logically organized on my iPod. (I don't want to sync ALL photos)
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Figured it out.  Somehow the extension changed from JPEG to JPG.  Changing it back sloved the problem.

  • Problems syncing new photos

Just tried - several times - to sync new photos from PC to iPhone and they are not showing up on my iphone! Help! never had this problem with my iphone 3 but my iphone 4 seems to have all sorts of teething problems. Any advice would be gratefully received.

It's the ios4 that's causing this problem. It's happening on my 3gs too. If you look under wallpapers you will find your photos there.
Hit the home button twice to bring up the multitask bar. Find the photo app, keep your finger on the app for a few seconds until the red - appears. Hit the red - to close the photo app. Hit the home button once more to go back to your home page. Then open the photo app again and your photos should be there.

  • Question: Problem Syncing some songs in ipod nano 6th gen

    Hi all,
So I've been having some problems syncing songs over to my new Ipod nano 6th gen. Whenever I try to sync, this message pops up:
This happened before with another song, and I just ignored it, and after checking my iPod, it had synced anyways. However, some songs do not seem to do this. I've tried changing the file format from mp3 to wav, finding other copies, deleting it from iTunes and then re-loading it. Nothing seems to work. The songs that won't sync work fine on iTunes, and I can play it from my computer, whether from iTunes or Windows Media Player, but it refuses to go on my ipod. >.< If anyone has encountered this problem and knows how to fix it, help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you actually add these songs to your iTunes library and move their physical location or is iTunes referencing them in another location? Sounds like the latter in which case they won't be synced to the Nano.
