Problem syncing songs on 5th gen 30 GB ipod

My brother recently got an ipod nano and we began using both (my fifth gen) with iTunes on one computer. It worked fine the first day but after that it won't work. When i connect either ipod it works but then when i drag songs to them, the songs doesn't go on. Finally when i try to disconnect, it won't let me. I have to disconnect it via My Computer. Can Anyone Help Me!!!!!

Check your update settings. Connect your iPod and click on it's icon in the iTunes source list (the narrow pane on the left). This will bring up the preferences tabs in the main pane on the right. The first tab you'll see is Summary, look for "manually manage songs and videos". To be able to drag songs from the library to the iPod there has to be a check mark against that option: Managing content manually on iPod
Something to remember about using an iPod in manual mode is that it automatically enables the iPod for disk mode. When and iPod is enabled for disk mode the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on the desktop and check this link for alternative methods:: Safely Disconnect IPod
If the iPod is set to manual and your problem with dragging persists try restoring your iPod. Just be aware that restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings, so if you have songs on your iPod that aren't on iTunes you will lose them if you have no back up. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. I recently purchased a new computer. My 5th generation Nano was working perfectly fine with it until this morning when I tried re-syncing it with new music and it told me I had to restore it. - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

4th gen iPod won't load songs; my 5th gen and Nano will...

I have a 4th gen iPod that was working with no problems until my girlfriend unintentionally erased all the songs when she installed iTunes on a new computer and connected the iPod. In the meantime, I acquired a 5th gen iPod and Nano and have been using them without event on my computer.
When I tried re-connecting the 4th gen iPod to my computer, the songs wouldn't load. I've updated iTunes and the iPod software to the latest versions and still can't get it to work. I've tried restoring the iPod numerous times and when I try to sync it (either manually or automatically) it says "the required file cannot be found". It has sometimes said "an unknown error has occured (-69)" which would mean something is wrong with the files themselves, but then why would my other iPods work fine using the same files?
What's weird is that the iPod won't load any of the songs but will load the names of playlists.
Does anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

Yes, I did try the 5 R's a few times without much success, it seems.
And I did research the (-69) error message which on the site says,
"This error occurs when iTunes tries to send files to your iPod, but a file (or files) is unusable (something is wrong with it."
But like I said, I'm confused as to why one iPod would be happy with the files but my other one wouldn't. I've tried choosing random songs to put on the iPod (thinking maybe my first song in my library is corrupted) but no songs seem to load. The other error message I get is "The required file cannot be found". But why can my other iPods find them?

Is it possible to delete a song or 2 from the 5th gen nano without resetting to factory settings?

I just got my ipod touch 5th gen, 1 month ago and already its freezing for sometimes up to an hour. Its saying its playing my music, but no sounds is coming out, its battery running down faster than normal/when i first got it. When i go on itunes its only coming up wired symbols, I'v connected it with my itunes account on my laptop and its made it worse . I have also tried the apple website but still no luck Help!!!

Problems syncing songs selectively

When I first got my iPod Touch, I started syncing my entire iTunes library, then change my mind and cancelled because I wanted to do it selectively. By this time, I had a lot of unwanted music so I went to Settings and deleted all my data and settings to begin again.
I then went to iTunes and UNchecked every single song. To start syncing the songs I wanted, I checked the songs of one artist only. But my iPod Touch refuses to sync them. When I turn on my iPod, iTunes no longer opens. When I open it manually and try to sync.... it says it's doing it, but doesn't. HELP PLEASE!

Since you are only wanting to sync songs and videos with tick marks, make sure you have the *Sync Only Checked songs and videos* option ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab as well.
If that is already the case, what configurations have you made from under the Music tab?
As for iTunes no longer opening, have you checked to make sure the *Open iTunes when this iPod is connected* option ticked from under the Summary tab?

Moving iPod 5th Gen movies to iPod Touch

I was wondering...what would happen if I moved my iPod 5th Gen movies (no longer on my computer) to a iPod Touch?
Would the video be the size of the iPod 5th Gen screen?

Personly I have found that moves encoded for the Ipod Video do not work with the Ipod Touch. ie, I get the can't play on this device error message when syncing in I tunes.
However re-encoding the video using a converter that supports the iTouch (Videora) everything was ok.

I have one doing that. I suddenly had audio quit. Everything else checked out and works just no audio. Tried everything and by chance I found that if I squeeze lower right hand side of case audio starts. Had a shop check it and found nothing wrong with audio cable but think it may be logic board. Found a forum and it seems that apple is aware of this issue. Here is the link to the forum I am in the process of trying to get mine fixed or replaced. I don't think this is going to happen. I have a 5.5G iPod, which included new features (games, search, gapless playback) along with slightly better hardware. I believe only the games and gapless playback were enabled for the original 5G iPod owners through new firmware. And these were essentially the same model.
