Problem syncing to iPhone - no 'events'

Hi everyone,
I'm syncing iPhoto with my iPhone but having a little problem.
I want the photos to display on the iPod in the same 'folders' that they do in iPhoto. EG - I have 'Christmas 2007' in iPhoto.
But, when I sync, I only have the choice of 'All' or 'Last 12 Months' or 'Last Sync'.
I want all photos on my iPhone but after syncing they're not split up by event or date, but just all appear in one huge folder.
Is there any way of splitting them up?

Is it just your home WiFi, or all WiFi? If it is just your home network start by rebooting your router. Turn it off or unplug its power for 15 seconds or so.

iTunes thinks you have a new computer because you restored the OS. Open iTunes and authorize it to the same account you have on the iPhone. Did you restore your iTunes content from a backup after resetting your computer? Have you been syncing regularly with the computer, and does the iTunes library on the computer contain your apps, music and videos? If so just sync and your content will be removed then restored.
If you have not hopefully you have now learned something. You can recover apps and purchased songs by connecting the phone, without syncing, and choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu.

Problem - Alerts on iPhone when event/reminder is created in iCal

Preamble:
MBP 2011 (early) on latest update of Lion
Subscription to iCloud (recently updated from MobileMe)
iPhone4 iOS5
Here's the scenario:
I create an event or reminder in iCal (on MBP) and set the alert settings to 'message' or 'message with sound' and select an appropriate date and time. The 'calendar' is set to iCloud>Home (in order to ensure it syncs with iPhone). Date and time come along and, so long as the MBP is turned on, the alert pops up on the screen - no problem.
Go over to iPhone - no alert pops up at the appropriate time. Open Cal and/or Reminders and there the event is, event also appears in the Notification Centre.
Problem:
Why does the iPhone not alert me of events that are generated in this way? If I create the event on the iPhone itself then it does alert me with no problem.
Workaround:
Set the original event alert to email and you get an email on the iPhone alerting you - however this is a little clunky and not the slick workflow that one might expect from apple.
Question:
Is there a solution to this?
P.S. Apologies if this is a double post, I have hunted round for an answer and there are a few threads of this nature but none of them were quite on the money.

i also should've mentioned that my calendars don't show in Mobile Me either. The headings do but for some reason there are no entries visible.

Am having problem syncing my iphone. it keeps coming up with a message, itunes stopped working when it gets to step two backing up.

i am having problem with my iphone 4. i connet it to itunes all fine, when it comes to syncing it it allways comes up with the message, itunes has sopped working. itunes with then close and with in the message it says itunes will get back to me if a solution appers. i have tryed a few thing that i have read on here but nothing is working. it first started when i updated my itunes and phone since then i havnt been abale to sync.

I just brought a new macbook pro but am hving problems syncing ipad/iphone 4

i just got my new macbook pro. i used my time machine to back up old macbook and then used it to put all my files on new one but when i try to sync ipad i get transfere purchaes .. but when i do that all my things say there not allowed on this mac as im not autherised... erm my mac my ipad my files.. same itunes account logged into both.. whats the problem??? and the other option is to erase and sync .. but i would lose 2 movies and a tv serries plus music and apps????

Try de authorizing your old mac and then authorising your new mac, that will sort all your apps out in the purchased section, regarding all your data, films etc on your ipad/iphone you will have to use a programme to get the data from your iphone to new mac. i had the same problem, i used to an app called "pod to Mac" which did the job for me by taking all my data off my iphone 4 and putting it onto my mac, i then opened the files on my mac with the relevant programmes like itunes etc and then synced my iphone to my new mac.

Hi am having problem syncing my iphone 3GS to my pc. It keeps showing backing up step 1 of 4 and run for hours and not sync. I have restarted my pc many times plugged and unplugged my iphone and it does not work at all.

I have been having trouble syncing my iphone after updating version 10. Satus keeps showing backing up step 1 of 4 forever on my pc. I have tried re plugging and restarting my pc but none work so far. I have not been able to sync my iphone since. Help!? Pls

May I add another layer of complexity to the issue? I plan on buying her the iPhone 4S for Christmas. Assumed all I would have to do is sync the new phone to iTunes on her pc and all her data/apps/music/pictures would transfer over.
Can I use her new account when I sync the 4S for the first time or will it prompt me for mine?

Problem syncing upgrade iPhone with older Macbook

Today I synced my iPhone 3GS for the first time with my Dad's Macbook Pro. I updated my iPhone to version 4.3.2m as it suggested. Now I can't (re)sync my iPhone to my own (older) Macbook Pro (10.4.11). It says I need iTunes 10 , but I can't get that with 10.4.11. Do I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard and if so will I lose all my documents and files? thanks.

Problem syncing an iphone

   i have an iphone 4 16GB and a windows xp computer service pack 3 and my brother has an iphone 4 16Gb with his own wins xp pc with sp 3 too. when i sync my iphone on my pc it is not recognized but when i sync it on my brothers pc it is recongnized. The irony is my brother is able to sync his own iphone on the two pc's which is his own pc and mine.
     i did the following as basic troubleshooting.
 my itunes was updated to 10.2.2   > no go
 my iphone is on ios 4.3.3 > no go
 i uninstalled and reinstalled itunes using HT1923 > no go
 i reseted my iphone   > no go
 i tried a new users account just for verification purpose again on my pc > no go
 i did a hard reset just to try > no go
NB my brother syncs his own iphone well but mine is not recognized on my pc. But works perfectly well on my brothers won pls can some one help me!!!!!!

Finally answered my own question: all the apps in question have been "upgraded" and no longer work on iPhones running OS 3.1.3. You gotta love progress.

Having problems syncing to iPhone and iPad

Im really struggling to sync my photos to my iphone, I tell it which projects to copy over and then it just randomly copies some of them sometimes then other times none and doesnt copy over information such as faces and places.
On my ipad it syncs them fine but a lot of the photos are blurry...which they aint on my aperture?!

Try this. Go into the Aperture library (Control-Click on it and "Show Package Contents".) Delete the folder "iPod Photo Cache".) Sync your iPhone (and/or iPad and/or iPod) again. This may solve it. If this short procedure doesn't work, the try the long way:
1) Uncheck the "Synch Photos from ..." box in iTunes. Sync to delete the photos from the i*. Quit iTunes.
2) Start Aperture. Select all the previews that you want on your i*. Choose Delete Previews from the Photos menu. Quit Aperture.
3) Delete the iPod Cache folder from the Aperture library as described above.
4) Launch Aperture, select the photos (projects, albums, ...) you are synching and do Generate Previews from the Photos menu. Quit Aperture.
5) Launch iTunes, and recheck the Synch Photos box, choose the stuff you want synched, and then hit the Apply (or Sync) button.
Please let people know if this works.

hi ya . it wouldnt put my contacts into my windows contacts folder. a iphone 4 would but a 4s doesnt. took it to apple store and they know sod all there and was a waste of time. sorted it myself, you have to turn off icloud and turn off contacts syncing in the i cloud setting then it does it

Problem syncing calendars: "iPhone disconnected" error message

Everything seems to work as expected except for calendars. Every time I sync, the progress bar in iTunes hangs on "syncing calendars" and eventually I get an error message that says "iTunes could not sync calendars to iPhone because the iPhone disconnected". All other items sync fine. Any advice?
15" MBP Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I am having the same problem since last software upgrade for itunes and iphone. Apple phone support had me try the following: 1. delete all calendar events with neverending dates. Didn't fix problem. 2. Reinstall software upgrades. Didn't fix problem. 3. Restore iphone to factory settins and delete all old "corrupted" calendar imports from old Palm calendar. This seemed to work for a day. Then I tried syncing tonight and got same error message. Any body able to help?
