Problem syncing updated Mail accounts to iPod Touch

I updated all my Mail accounts to IMAPs, but iTunes still syncs the old POP account information to the Touch. So when using Mail on my iPod Touch, the settings are old from POP, and on my Mac, Mail is perfectly fine with new IMAP settings. How can I make iTunes realize that those POP settings do not exist anymore and all my accounts are now IMAPs and to sync them to the Touch accordingly?

Thank you both for the suggestion but..., the information that HerelsTom is suggesting, and the website that IIIaass is sharing a link too, I have already tried, (it was the first thing I found and tried). I reorganized the photos in the order I want by re-saving each photo in order so the Date Modified would be in descending order, and the order that I wanted, but it didn't work.
Should I go to the Apple store and ask?

On the iOS array of devices, you need to make sure all of the settings are right. I have found an official Verizon webpage for setting it up on Apple devices right here:

  • HT4314 Problem with Game Centre accounts on iPod touch

I have one Apple ID, and I have two sons who each have an iPod touch, each creating separate Game Centre 'accounts' using my ID.  It worked OK at first, but now we can only access the new account.  Is there a way I can correct this to the way it was so that both sons can access their separate accounts?

Apple might have disabled this possiblity, so you might have to create two Apple I.D. accounts instead.

  • Using/Setting up a e-mail Account on iPod Touch

I have been able to setup and use my yahoo email on my iPod Touch but I am trying to do the same with my msn/hotmail email. How do I set this up and how can I obtain the the information from Microsoft for this to work? Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    G

Microsoft chose not to use the industry standard POP or IMAP protocol when developing MSN and Hotmail. So, I'm sorry to tell you that a free Hotmail or MSN account will not work with the iPod. However, if you decide to pay a fee to Microsoft, they will upgrade your account so that you'd be able to use your Hotmail account as POP.

  • How can I change my Primary E-mail account on Ipod touch?

I only have 2 emails both have the same name only the end is different 1) @aol.com 2) @icloud.com.  My primary e-mail address was always @aol.com and now it is on @icloud.com.  I just need to know how I can change my Primary E-Mail  account to be AOL again.  Does it have anything to do with when I charge my ipod?  Sometime I charge it to My Computer and other times to icloud.  Also does the e-mail account have anything to do with the Primary Server for my mail.

    - Just what do you mean by prinary email account? Maybe this will help
Frequently Asked Questions About Apple ID
    - It has nothing to do with charging your iPod. Yu said " Sometime I charge it to My Computer and other times to icloud.". What do you mean chargiing to iCloud?
    - Each mail account uses in Settings>Mail has a primary server for sending mail and that server is the server associated with that account. Secondard sending servers are other ssending servers for other mail account yo have ins Settings>Mail

  • HT1386 Problem Syncing Music from Itunes to Ipod Touch.

I have one music album on Itunes that won't sync with my Ipod touch.  I tried deleting it from Itunes and then adding it again.  Still not on Ipod.  Also, I have several albums in Itunes that the music will sync but the album artwork will not.

Try redownloading them directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Sync them to your iPod for an iTunes library using the manual method

  • Problems with updating programs in my Ipod touch 4

Hi, I have some kind of problems in my Ipod 4 touch... That started a few weeks ago after updating my Ipod to new version... A lot of my programs which are in want to be updated but the Ipod shows to me that my location is in Hongkong and I can use all only from that country... That alone means that my possibility of updating is banned and aproximately 20 programs are not allowed to be updated... Please help me out to sort out this problem!

I am located in Ukraine, this country even  isn't shown in opportunities to select this one... But I did, I chose other country, but sadly there is no effects... I use iTunes it shows that I am in Honkong but I changed my location to another country... effect is the same...
As to exact wording, you know it writes in Russian, but I'll try to translate... "You are not allowed to update your Ipod, you are able to do that only being in Honkong"

Sync problem - earlier today I updated both iTunes and my iPod Touch. Since then, I have tried syncing the two. The iPod Touch claims that there is no music on the iPod, however, when I connect it to my computer it says my full library is on there. At present, I am unable to listen to songs on the iPod when not connected to the computer. What can I do to fix this?
    Thanks for any help!

    - Have you reset your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next would be to backup your iPod and then restore you iPod from backup via iTunes.

  • GameCenter Account on Ipod Touch 4G after iOS5 update

    Hi iGuys.
I have two separate gamecenter accounts tied under one (1) apple id. One is for my daughter (ipod) and the other is for my son (ipad).
Previously, there is no problem logging in in gamecenter - even simultaneously.
I have just updated my 4th gen ipod touch to iOS5. When I started the smurfs' village game, the game center account reflected in the ipod touch
is the game center account for ipad. As a result, the game started back from scratch!
How can I choose the correct username for the ipod touch? It only asks for the apple id password.
    Please help. Thanks in advance!

    I have already corrected this.
Instead of the email address in the username, we should change that to the gamecenter username instead.
    It worked! Thanks!

    HELP
Help needed to update a 4th gen ipod touch running version 4.3.5 (8L1) to the latest 6.0 version.  When I connect and try to update i keep getting a box which states that a connection error occured and I cannot update.
I have been given a new laptop for xmas which runs on windows 8, and the new itunes version (which is in itself a hurdle as I am a technophobe!) and this is all becoming a bit fustrating.
I have connected, updated and synced my iphone successfully, but just hit a brick wall on the ipod.  (which incidentally maybe where this laptop will end up!!)
Help if you can, but in laymans terms.......

Thank you for you input so far.....
I think we are getting nearer to the solution sort of!
Let me get this straight...... I have paid for content on itunes, bought the apple devicds in order to play said content, now I have to subscribe $25 for the privilage of playing MY library content on MY other devices. Which wasn't such an issue to do before the new and improved itunes version!!
Have I got that correct.  I think I cannot associate my other iOS devices with my library because I am unwilling to pay further through the nose!!!???  or am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Frustrated even more now!!

  • Will Apple cover me if updating to iOS5 on ipod Touch 3rd gen ruins/bricks it?

I have heard stories of some people's apple products not working/bricked after attempting to upgrade to iOS5.
I have a 1.5 year old ipod Touch 3rd gen. No warranty on it from Apple (tho I do have one from Square Trade for ADH, but I called them and they said if it is a software issue, they don't cover it.)
I am very concerned about d/ling the ios5 upgrade and it ruining my ipod touch.  In effect, I will take a device that could fetch almost $200 on ebay (which I could then use to upgrade to a Touch 5gen), and turn it into a worthless piece of junk if I upgrade and it ruins it.
Also, I know that they have released 5.0.1 (beta I believe?) for update.   I still read stories on here from people waiting until now (Nov, a month after it was first released when so many people tried to d/l it and had terrible problems), but now are still getting network timed out error msgs, etc.
So is there ANY protection from Apple if their update should screw my ipod touch??
Should I just wait longer for a final, stable version  of ios 5? (like v5.1)  Or just totally skip the iOS 5 upgrade and stay safe with iOS 4?  I don't know that it is really worth the $200 loss risk to upgrade to iOS5.  (i.e. 3rd gen doesn't have the ability to find and lock/wipe my lost touch, etc.)
I do know that I should:
    1) install itunes 10.5 anew on my laptop  (itunes and syncing WAS done on my tower, until I just got it back from being serviced for some Major problems/virues/malware/etc.  I'm not comfortable using it, as the problems on it included not being able to start Local Services, connect to the internet, no audio services, etc.  The guy says it is booting up and services are working now, but you never know....But i digress...)
    2) be on AC and not battery on my laptop
    3) be hardwired (ethernet) to the internet and not use my wireless connection
    4) turn off Windows 7 Firewall, and disable my PC Tools Spyware Docter with Antivirus.
So, what do you all think? should I wait until later to upgrade to say os 5.1?  Should I even RISK upgrading to iOS5 on a touch 3gen and lose almost $200 cash?  And will Apple give me ANY protection should it ruin my touch?  (I seriously doubt it.)
    Thanks for input.

Before proceeding with the update, it wouldn't hurt to manually back up the iPod in iTunes by right->clicking on it from under the Devices section and choosing Backup.    See this article for more information on what is stored in the backup.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
Also make sure that any content you may have synced to the device from iTunes, such as Music, movies, TV Shows, podcasts, etc. are all stored on your computer and in iTunes before updating the iPod's version of iOS.
Otherwise, I would go ahead with the upgrade.  I didn't have any issues with it on my iPhone.

  • Delete email account on iPod touch

How do I delete an email account on my iPod touch? The email account is with my ISP.
Thanks in advance for your help and support
    Leigh

From Chapter 18 of the iPod Touch Users Guide:
Delete an account from iPod touch: Choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” choose an account, then scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Deleting an account means you can no longer access the account with your iPod touch. All email and the contacts, calendar, and bookmark information synced with the account are removed from iPod touch. However, deleting an account doesn’t remove the account or its associated information from your computer.
