Problem to add office 365 domain because of RMS

Hi team,
I've purchased an office 365 small business plan. I wasn't able to add my personal domain & the office 365 support told me that's because I've my own domain registred in the RMS sharing application.
Could you please delete my domain "dhersin.net" from your registred RMS domains ?
You can refer to this thread but it's in french ... : http://community.office365.com/fr-fr/f/245/p/284703/869773.aspx#869773
Many thanks,
Kind regards.

Hi,
Could anyone advise on this matter ?
Thanks,
Kind regards.

  • Recently Added Office 365 Domain to Azure

We just signed up with Azure and I'm in the process of building it out. We also have an existing Office 365 subscription which we use primarily for email (Exchange 2013 in Office 365). The trouble is that I'm fairly new to Office 365 and a complete noob
when it comes to Azure, so everything I'm doing to get these two worlds to talk is self taught (we do not have support).
In an effort to get a head start, in Azure, I have built two servers to be designated as domain controllers and two servers to be designated as application servers; a total of four virtual servers now exist in Azure.  I installed the respective roles
    on each of the servers.
This morning I finally managed to understand how to link our existing Office 365 domain to Azure; the Office 365 directory now exists in Azure.  Subsequently, I attempted to promote the two virtual servers to domain controllers in the recently added
directory to no avail.  When I begin the promotion, I select the option to
Add a domain controller to an existing domain, enter the domain name (Office 365) and the domain admin creds, and then I'm met with the following error:
An Active Directory domain controller for the domain "name of domain" could not be contacted
Basically, when I attempt to add this to server to that domain I'm met with an error that no domain controller exists or if I attempt to promote the server to a domain controller I'm met with the error above.  How do I get around it?  How can I
successfully add either of the newly provisioned virtual servers to the domain?
Any help you can offer would be great!

    Marcin is correct.
For better understanding, imagine Windows Azure Active Directory as an Organizational Unit (OU), in which you can manage user accounts and groups, but no any computer accounts. WA AD is for handling authentications, and because Office 365 (which is a SaaS)
authenticates with WA AD, and an Azure subscription is also using WA AD object for authentications, you can import WA AD of an Office 365 subscription into Azure.
On the other hand if you build your own network and infrastructure in Azure, and needs a Domain Controller, you need to install a VM with Active Directory Domain Services role.

    Hi Tor,
This is the forum to discuss questions and feedback for Microsoft Office client. There is not so much about

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

  • Calendar crashes when I try to add Office 365 account

My company recently "upgraded" to Office 365 and I'm trying to integrate my office appointments into my Apple Calendar application. When I try to add this calendar (by selecting an Exchange server and inputting email address and password), the process crashes just as it appears to recognize my account.
    Anyone recommend a fix? Thanks.

I figured out a workaround.... Since I can get e-mails to populate via iSync and my other computer is running Leopard (it's a powerpc chip and can't run Snow Leopard), I added the account on the other computer and got the new account to populate into my SL machine with iSync. I don't like that I can't actually add the account directly, but at least this got me working.

  • Microsoft Office 365 Domain Verification

I am trying to have Microsoft verifiy my domain ownership as part of the MS Office 365 set up.  The instructions are below:
I inserted both a DNS entry and an MX entry as follows:
I inserted these a couple of days ago and still MS cannot verify my domain.  Do you have any insight into how these entries may be incorrect and what i need to modify?
    Thanks

    Hey evetsrelfel,
It appears the TXT you added is not resolving when performing a DNS look-up. This can sometimes occur when the SPF record automatically added by BC has a lower TTL than the TXT record you have added. I have since modified the TTL of your TXT record from 1 day to 600 to match the pre-existing SPF record and I can confirm it is now resolving: http://www.dnswatch.info/dns/dnslookup?la=en&host=catcogaming.com&type=TXT&submit=Resolve
You should now be able to verify ownership of this domain.
    Cheers.

  • Cannot open document because Office keeps trying to sign in to Office 365 with the wrong account

Problem: I cannot open Office documents from SharePoint on Office 365 because Office tries to sign in with my Microsoft account instead of my Office 365-account.
    History
When we started the project, I did not have an Office 365-account yet for the organization I was working for. To get temporary access to SharePoint a colleague invited me on my Microsoft Account to gain access to SharePoint. This worked fine and I
was able to access SharePoint. A few days later I received my official Office 365 account, so I also got e-mail etc. Because I now have an official Office 365 account, we removed my Microsoft Account from SharePoint. So now I only have access to SharePoint
    with my Office 365 account.
The problem is that I can no longer open documents in Office. In the web version everything works fine, but if I want to open a document in for example Word, it says the document cannot be opened. Sometimes it shows a screen which says "Something
went wrong". If I click through to go back to the website, it show me that it tried to login with my Microsoft Account and that this account does not have access to the site. It suggests to sign out and login with a different account, but this leads to
a page that does not exist. I cannot figure out how to make Word use my Office 365 account.
    What I have already tried
-Remove all my browser history and temporary files
-Add Office 365 as a connected service in Office. I can sign-in with my Office 365 account and the location is added, but I still cannot open documents.
-Tried a different pc. But because Office syncs al my settings, I got the same problem on all my pc’s.
-Removed all my Windows credentials via the credential manager in the control panel. If I also remove the credentials for my Microsoft Account, Office cannot sign in anymore. At this point, if I try to access SharePoint, it asks me for my credentials
and I have access to the documents. However, if I restore my Microsoft Account in Office again by entering my password, the problem is back.
-As a work around I can add my Office 365 account as a separate Office account. I have access then, but it is really annoying because every time I want to open a document, I have to open Word, switch accounts, close Word and open the document. It is
not capable of automatically selecting the account to use.
    Conclusion and question
I have also worked with other Office 365 organizations which I can easily add to the connected services in Office and they work fine. So somehow Office has linked my Microsoft Account to this organization of Office 365 and it refuses to use the correct
account. Does anybody know how to unlink my Microsoft Account from this Office 365 organization so that I can use the correct account?

Try these steps from the source linked below:
Stop connecting to a connected account
You can stop connecting to a connected email account in Outlook Web App by removing the connection.
In Outlook Web App, click Settings >
Options > Account > Connected accounts.
Under Account Name, select the account you want to stop connecting to.
Click Delete to remove the connection.
Click Yes in the dialog box to confirm that you want to stop connecting to the account.

    Hi,
Can you start them in Safe Mode?
    Press Win + R, then:
Type excel /safe and press Enter to start Excel.
Type outlook /safe and press Enter to start Outlook.
Type winword /safe and press Enter to start Word.
If they can start in Safe Mode, ins one at a time:
With the Office application still in Safe Mode, click File >
    Options > Add-Ins.
Next to the Manage list, click Go.
Uncheck one of the add-ins in the list and click OK.
Restart the application (not in Safe Mode this time).
You can also start Windows in Safe Mode to test if another program on the PC is causing the problem. For more information about Windows Safe Mode troubleshooting, read these articles:

  • Office 365 mail stuck in OUTBOX

    Hi,
We recently upgraded our Exchange Environment to Office 365. Suddenly my users started complaining e-mails would be stuck in OUTBOX. It would say sending but the bar would load forever. The only way to stop this is to restart OUTLOOK and then the mails would
be sent. All the new emails would be received too.
On the web I found out that people that were using a DLINK router had to turn off SPI. We were using a DLINK router too but we didn't have the SPI turned on. But to be sure I swapped the DLINK with a Cisco. The problem still persists.
    http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/382519-outlook-stuck-on-outbox-if-left-idle
I also deleted some users' OST file and would reload it to see if this would improve the situation. Also this didn't help.
All my users surf via a squid proxy server. I don't and I never had the problem, so I changed my settings so I would surf via the squid proxy server and I also experienced the problem. I found this article on technet.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/onthewire/archive/2014/03/04/network-perimeter-tcp-idle-session-settings-for-office-365.aspx
I was wondering if there are other sysadmins out there who experienced the same problem with using Office 365 and squid. Do you have any solution for it? Because I haven't found one yet.
    Kind regards,
    Michael

    Hi Mike,
How about sending emails to external via OWA on your laptop and desktop?
If working well in OWA, it seems an issue on the Outlook 2013 client side.
Please try to run Outlook under the safe mode to avoid some AVs and add-ins.
Please try to re-create profile to refresh the caches.
If not working in OWA, since Exchange 2013 is different from Office 365, I suggest ask Office 365 forum for help so that we can get more professional suggestions.

    Hi Alan,
I am sorry for the issue you are experiencing right now.
On Tuesday, August 5, 2013 at approximately 12:45 PM UTC, we receive a report that some of the users were unable to authenticate to the Exchange Online service when using the Outlook client. However, the issue has been restored.
Since you are still having the issue, please follow the steps below to do the confirmation.
    1. Please make sure that all Outlook security patches and updates are installed on the affected computer. To check for the latest Outlook updates, please click on the link below.
    2. To make sure whether the issue is related to the Outlook client or the service, please try configuring the test account I send you through private message on the affected computer to check whether the issue exists. To check the private message, please follow
    the steps.
    a. Please go to Your details section on the right side of the community site.
    b. Click Private messages.
    c. Click the subject title of the responses to read the message.

I noticed something a bit strange that SMTP is automatically put in front of the mailbox name.. i haven't seen that before
Went to windows update and there is nothing to install
it's interesting you say the 5th because that is exactly the last day that outlook successfully synced.. it hasn't worked since.. This is happening on 2 seperate computers and stopped working at the exact same time.
    Hi Alan,
    Thanks for the update.
Based on the currently situation, I understand when configuring the test account provided by Yang Yu the issue persists. And you have a number of tablets and they are working fine. Thus the issue could be related to the certain Outlook client on this certain
    computer.
Since we focus on Office 365 issues in this forum, I'm so sorry that I’m not able to provide the detailed instructions.
To provide you with a better service, and sort out this issue more effectively, I suggest you post this issue in the following Outlook forum. The engineers there will help you get the issue fixed in a timelier manner.
    Outlook forum:
At the same time, I will also continue doing some further tests and research. Thanks for your understanding and great efforts.
Any community members with related experience on this issue who could share it here are also appreciated.

    Hi Alan,
According to your description, the Outlook settings seems to be correct in your local machine. And some solutions have been tried to solve this issue:
Create a new Outlook profile, start Outlook in safe mode, clean credentials cache in computer ect.
But the issue persists. Please consider to configure your account on a computer which is working file with your colleague's Office 365 account to check whether the issue continues. If the issue only happens to your account, please access the mailbox in Webmail
and change the password to have a try.

  • Exchange connector to Office 365

    Dears,
I am beginner to SCSM, so please forgive my non professional questions.....
I am trying to connect my Service Manager to Office 365, and I have below questions
In general settings > Enter one or more active directory: I added my local domain (John.Lab)
    Is this correct?
In server settings > Use Auto discovery: I did not check it Is this correct?
In server settings > Exchange Server URL, I added: "https://pod51036.outlook.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx" is this correct or do I have to add:
    https://pod51036.outlook.com/owa?
In server settings > User impersonation  can I use this settings to link it with my IR since I am using office 365? "actually this is the main reason for my exchange connector?
In server settings  > Run as account:
can I use a domain user account which does not have Mailbox and
    mail address?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    1. This is correct
    2. This is correct
    3. This looks good. Otherwise, try
    https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
    4. No. You must not check this option.
    5. You have to create a separate Run As account. The username would be [Office 365 Domain]\[Office 365 User Name], and the Password. SCSM will not be able to validate the credentials, however you can still accept it.

  • Using different Office 365 Account on Windows 8.1 with Microsoft Account

Onedrive does not have any connection to Office 365. They are completely independent of one another.
Office 365 has no use of Microsoft Accounts (other than when sharing with people who are not in your tenant)

I have a customer that has boughta new team member a laptop with Windows 8.1 on it.The customer uses a shared One Drive Account across all of the teams machines to share data between them. All the other machines are using windows 7 professional with the One Drive desktop app installed, allowing them to do that. On the windows 8.1 laptop though, they are forced to sign into the laptop with a the Microsoft account to access OneDrive on that machine, due to it being integrated with the OS. This however, has caused issues because the team member then has access to everything under that Microsoft account and not just access to the one drive which is all the other team members have access to. I haven't found a way around that but if you happen to know one, please let me know.Anyway, now the customer wants to add office 365 to the laptop using...

  • NBN doesn't work with Office 365

Anyone else having problems with accessing Office 365 on the NBN?  Trying to work out if it's specific to the NBN Fiber to the Basement trial we're on or a broader issue - and getting run in circles by Telstra.  Spent hours on the phone today just getting passed to the next department! Here's the issue. NBN connection works fine - nice and fast, no problem. BUT we have regular problems where we can;t access outlook.office365.com (our hosted exchange via Office 365) - either through Outlook desktop or Ouytlook Web Access.  Everything else still works at that time, just not email.  We can even get to the SharePoint sites in the same O365 tenant - it just appears to be a problem with traffic getting blocked to the Exchange server, If we swich back to the old ADSL service - everything works (just much slower). If we take a laptop to another network (Optus / Telstra Cable or hot spotting via a mobile phone) - everything works. So quite specifically this is an issue with the NBN network.  Either the NBN modem, or the network itself.  We've tried switching the modem, didn't help.  To be clear - it does work SOMETIMES, but here it worked mostly before with occassional problems, now it mostly FAILS and only occassionally works.  It ALWAYS works on other networks so it is not a problem with the client devices, or the Office 365 accounts.  It's not a problem with the switches or cabling in the office because it works on the old ADSL.  The only thing it doesn;t work on is the NBN. We've tried the Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) - didn't help. Anyone else experienced this?  I'm thinking now it might be a configuration on the DSLAM in the basement?  Or the Telstra Broadband Remote Access Server - but trying to find somoene in Telstra to actually discuss this with me and get some help is proving impossible. Thanks

I not a Telstra employee, but I have a tech background, but not in internet protocols. You may consider ringing. Microsoft possibly ???  who  may ???     be using some access protocol that NBN will not access ???????? There are some extremely highly specialist and qualified  technical IT folk in some specific forums, just for example,  Whirlpool.     who actually are employed in that area of IT. You may want to search if anyone else has experienced this.  The more I think about this, the more I think Microsoft may be your best port of call ???
