Indranil,
Can you tell us the exact settings you made on your system entry?  All we know from what you have posted is that there is a connection error - without more details on the error (from the defaultrace.trc log, perhaps) or details on your system settings, it's impossible to help you.
Cheers,
Darren

  • How to configure new system landscape in portal server for bsp iview

    Hi
can you tell me what are the necessary parameters (apart form default parameters that were there while creating new system landscape) for configuring a system landscape for using it in bsp iviews.
    thanks & regards
    Ashutosh

    Hello,
what you call system name has to be the system alias, and this alias has to be the same between DEV/QUAL/PROD environment.
Your portal application will look for data/BAPIs/etc... with this alias. Your portal application will know on which environment it has to retrieve data/BAPIs/etc... will be defined in each system object you have defined for each environment.
    Fabien.

  • Cannot create Portal System and Alias in System Landscape in Portal

    hallo all,
i want to install vc, therefore i need to create an Portal System and Alias.
this i should do in system landscape in the portal
(System Admin -> System config -> System landscape )!
but when i open it, it is loading and loading and nothing happens!
can someone tell me, what problem that could be?
ep 7.0 is installed and i want to connect to ERP 2005 ECC 6.0.
    regards Vartan

    Vartan,
The VC needs a portal in order to run - it needs to borrow the core portal and J2EE functionaliy as the VC components only bring in VC specific applications.
One question to ask, based upon personal experience, is what browser are you using here please? For instance, I've hit this issue when working from Firefox (1.5 or 2.0) but not when I'm running the same link in IE 6.0.
Just a thought. Let me know how you do.
    Cheers,
    Tim

  • How to create 4 system landscape in CMS

    hi all,
before i will explain my situation, currently i have the server DEV - QAS - (PRD1 and PRD2), understand that one track only allow three system landscape in CMS, is there any solution for me to make cms transport my request to 4 system landscape? thanks.
    best regards
    Hariyono

    Hi,
U can have 4 systems in CMS landscape. Thats not a problem. Even u can try for complex also.
    Coming to
    DEV - QAS - (PRD1 and PRD2),
What exciatly u want. Can u explain us,
Do u want the movement of request in the path like DEV--->QAS--->PRD1
                                                                                    |
                                                                                    |---->PRD2
In such condition, create a buffer after QAS, where in all transport requests will be moved in to Buffer from QAS, from there u can make them to move into PRD1 and PRD2.
Let us know if u have any issues,
    Regards,
    Ravi

You can't use the same host name and SIDs as per help under F1
    Configure as below:

Application Server : (your computer name or IP address)
System Number: (has to be 2 digit, and which numbers you have assiged while installation)

  • Problem while creating a system copy

    Hi guys,
I've created a copy of my original BW system with the database copy of SQL server procedure:
    1. Copy DB from "old" system and perform "post" activities (SID change, BD54 and after - BDLS -"old" logical sys. Name to "new" one..).
    2. Verify RFC to ECC source system and create new RFC in ECC source system to "new" BW system.
    3. Make BW logical system known to ECC source system (BD54).
    4. RFC names are the same as Logical system names (both BW and ECC sides).
When I try to restore the source system connection (The original one) on the "new" BW system I get the following message:
The Connection BA is used in the PRD300YPCC. Source System as a Connection BWPCLNT550 to BW.
Do You Want to Delete this Connection in the Source System? The Connection is Restored After It Has Been Deleted Successfully.
If I answer delete - than the source system is working on the new copied BW system. But the original source system on the original BW system will have the same problem I'm having with the copied systems. This means that only one system could be connected to the ECC production on the same time.
Is there a way to make it work - i.e have both BW systems connected to the same ECC system. We want to have it done so we could upgrade one system and check it against the productive system.
    Thanks alot,
    Tomer Steinberg.

    Still not solved.

    Hello,
I seem to have made some changes that made my unable to create web service systems for EP or Visual Composer.
The change I made is in NetWeaver Administration > Configuration > Application Resources > WebServicesFactory, I added the Configuration Property "UseCacheByDefault" with Boolean value = true.
After this, if I create a web service system in Enterprise Portal, the Connection Tests fail. In Visual Composer when I define a web service system, the error I am getting is: "Connector Factory not found for value WebServicesFactory".
I have tried to delete the UseCacheByDefault property I added as well as restart the server but I am still getting the error.
However when I test my web service using the Web Services Navigator, I am not getting any problems. So my guess is the problem lies with the connection factory.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Since creating WS system in the portal resulted with failed connection test, the issue has nothing to do with VC.
I'm just guessing, but try to configure proxy in the J2EE engine.
If that doesn't help I suggest you raise this question in the portal forum.
    Best regards,
    Shay
