Problem to install Photoshop Elements 6 in MAC

I just buyed the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, and was really happy to install it on my MAC. I have several problems, installing it always go throw the process and then says there was a problem on the installation with no more details.
I think it may be because my sofware version is MAC OS X v10.5.6, and in the requirements it specify v10.5.2, could it be that the reason why I can not install it? How can I solve this problem?

In any case, to fix things, you need to remove as much of what got installed as you can (via the uninstall components part of the installer if you can, manually if not), then download and run this:

Create a new admin user and run the install from there. Disable any antivirus software or anything from Norton/Symantec before installing. Repair permissions when you're done. You can delete the new account if it works.

Hi, I've received a graphic tablet with 2 programs: the first has been downloaded and works perfectly while the second, PSE9, has been giving me problems for at least a week!
I downloaded it and now I have a winzip file full of strange things (one of this is set up exe which tells me that I have to install adobe support advisor) and two files which said 3DF.tmp and PSEP9(1).zip.download and if I try to click them they tell me that I have to find on the Net the program to open them because I can't. And I don't know which program is required.
I tried a lot of times to download the adobe support advisor, I have enough space on my disc and my farewall is deactivated, but when the program begins I saw this annoyant message
cpsid_82829s5 Missing installation file bootstrapper error occured
with this code for a support from adobe 00-67325-032018052012
I unistalled it and retried, but nothing.
Please, I just want to use my tablet with the programs which are comprised in the package, why it's so difficult to download this damn photoshop elements 9????????????

In the error message it doesn't tell me
"Installer has detected that a machine restart is pending. It is recommended that you quit the installer, restart try again,"
neither "Installer failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
and I have enough space and I have Windows xp then I should be able to install it. I tried to unistall and install again the support advisor but nothing. I'm desperate.

Installing photoshop elements on Mac

Installing Photoshop elements 11 on Mac - told to close: Elementsautoanalyzer, Photoshopserver, and dynamiclinkmanager before I can complete installation. I cannot find these to close them. I had just downloaded Premiere Elements. Thanks for any help.

In Spotlight, type "Activity Monitor" and click return. You must be able to see the above processes. Please select those processes and select "Quit Process". Later try to install the product.

Error problem while installing Photoshop Elements 12

I received the combo pack of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 this Christmas. I started to install the cd onto my computer and entered the serial number for Photoshop. Midway while installing Photoshop Elements 12, my computer froze. I cancelled the installation and restarted my computer. When I tried re-installing Photoshop, I keep getting error applying transforms. Please verify special transforms paths are valid.
I tried Installing the Premiere Elements 12 and it installed fine. I just cannot get the Photoshop Elements part to work. What can do to rectify this? Thanks for any help!

Hello, i have just changed some a Microsoft PC win7 to a Macbook pro running Mac os x. I have logged into the adobe portal, installed the akamai netsession client for OSX and downloaded the software. however what is downloaded is smaller .exe file and a 1.6 gig .7z file , neither which will install on the mac. Any pointers.

Your right. It won't make any sense to subscribe for a software that I don't own. I have CS5 on my Dell Laptop which has been giving me issues, so I re-installed the Operating System along with all my editing programs and nothing more. So I can toggle between the Mac and the PC to get the job done in the meantime. I will eventually get CS6 for the Mac.

I know the install package is valid because I installed it on my backup laptop (same Max OSX version) after I was having problems with my primary desktop and it installed fine. Issue resolved with the help of Adobe Support (Mercer). My problem had been seen in another machine, there were empty folders in the Fonts Folder (Hard Drive>Library>Fonts) that the installer could not reconcile or delete, that was hanging up the Installer.
My fix was to delete the following empty folders from the Fonts Folder:
AdobeMingStd-Light.otf
BickhamScriptPro-Regular.otf
KozMinPro-Regular.otf
MyriadPro-BoldCond.otf
TektonPro-BoldCond.otf
And then re-run the installer (be sure to empty the trash).
My advice would be to first read the installer log and look for names of font folders that could not be resolved, then dump those. Another way would be to dump any empty folders in the Fonts Folder, empty the trash, then re-sun the installer.

I just purchased a license of Photoshop Elements 13. I have been trying to install the program for the last 2 hours. After waiting 2 hours for the downloading of the installing manager and after that the downloading of the photoshop elements, your program is saying that I don't have the acquired system to install the program. I am willing to believe that something went wrong, so I try to call the customer service number for Belgium that I could find at the bottom of this email. After waiting 12 very expensive minutes on the phone, one of your customer service managers tells me that they only handle creative cloud problems. The photoshop elements telephone line no longer exists and that he will redirect me to another line where I will find someone who will help me start up the chat??? After waiting another 10 very expensive minutes on the phone, I simply hung up because nobody was answering. I don't understand how it is possible to purchase a program that I can not use on my macbook who is only 3 years old. If I buy a bunch of new computers every year to be able to install your products, I might as well close my business. I also have other drawing programs that don't work anymore one the latest macs. I would appreciate it if you can help me to find a proper solution for this problem. Can I maybe switch to a lower version of the program? If that is not possible, can I get a refund? I have my own architectural firm and would like to keep working with your products in the future. At the time beeIng, I have already lost money by buying your program and by calling your non existing customer service. So you can understand that I am not feeling very happy. You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.
