    Hello there muhamadamirul,
To change the region your Apple ID is using use these instructions.
    Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

I am in the process of installing 9i on SUSE Linux 7.2. The only Linux that is certified to run 9i. The machine is is a fresh install of SUSE. I am running into the same problem. I ran through the first make problem by going to a shell and invoking a make -f oemagent.mk. Built the library just fine. Got errors when trying to run make -f ins_rdbms.mk. Not sure why the installer or the command line is having problems.
Not sure if I can just hit Ignore and go on????
Any help would be appreciated. You would think 9i would spread like butter on their "Certified" platform.

  • Problems with updating applications manually

    Hi!
I'm working with Mac OS X 10.7.3 with a user-account that has no admin rights.
I have several applications (e.g. Dropbox) that I update manually (= mounting the disk image and then replacing the old version in the applications-folder with the new version from the image). I was asked for an admin username and password and had to confirm that I wanted to replace the app and everything was fine.
Since recently though, the whole thing is for some reason different. I am being asked if I want to replace the app:
I hit "ersetzen" (=replace). And then I get this alert:
    Approximate translation:
The process could not be exectued as serveral objects had to be skipped. Make sure the object is not protected, also make sure you have the required rights."
Basically, the error message explains in detail what could be wrong and how to fix it. The problem though is, that - at least as far as I know - the rights are set properly:
Also, the whole things leaves behind a 0kb-file...
An easy way to fix this is to first delete the app from the app-folder and then copy the new version into the folder. However, something is wrong here, right? It has to work with replacing the app!
    I'd appreciate your help!
btw... I know some people recommend just working with an admin account. I prefer it that way and would appreciate it, if we didn't discuss the pros and cons of this here. Thank you!
    Julius

    Thanks for your replies!

If you quit Dropbox first, then copy the new version, it should work.
Of course I quit the application first, maybe I should have mentioned that.
    Topher Kessler:
Another approach that is similar is to just delete the dropbox application that is on your hard drive, and then download the updated version and copy or install it to your applications folder. This will avoid any copy routine from interacting with the previous dropbox files, and just have the installer place new files on the disk.
Yes, this works. For me it is more of a workaround than a solution though. I worked before, I don't know why it doesn't anymore...

  • Problem in updating applications and downloading podcasts after upgrading to iOS 6

Recently I have downloaded iOS 6.  Since then I cannot download podcasts and cannot update applications

Haha, thanks for the tip! I was just curious if anyone had this problem at all. I just found it odd that before iOS 6, I had version 5.1 (which came standard with my iPad at the time) and there was no delay. You click on/off button for Airplane Mode or WiFi and the function would turn on or off instantly... Just annoying have to wait several seconds for a response. Thanks for the input though.

  • Can't auto update applications

I have a problem with updating applications. When i confirm an application to update itself, it downloads the new version and tries to install and relaunch but fails and gives me "__ application does not have permissions to write to the applications directory! Are you running off a disk image...".
I am not running the application from disk image. I think it is related to permissions. Tried disk utility and repaired the permissions and it didn't help. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I'll guess that you're trying to update a third-party application. I don't believe a Disk Utility "repair permissions" operation will help you with such things.
I'd use the Finder menu function File -> Get Info to compare the ownership and permissions of the application that's giving you trouble with one that's not.
Other possibly-relevant issues: Are you running from an administrative account? Is it the only administrative account on the computer? Was it the account that was used to install that application?

  • Updateing applications

iam have problems with updateing applications because my old e-mail address which is eduardovallejo<at>comcast<dot>net i changed to eddyvallejo<at>yahoo<dot>com

If you purchased apps with the old email, that is the email you must use to update. Apps are forever tied to the ID used to purchase them.

  • TS3297 I have problem to update or purchase new applications as "waiting" appers every time when I want to update sth or buy and it is not downloading staff on my iPad

Problem to download applications as well as update them, all the time message "waiting" nothing cannot be update and download, I tried already restart all the setting but it's not working

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you created a new account or updated your existing account ? All content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so if you have created a new account then all of your existing downloads will remain tied to your old account.
If you've updated your existing account then try tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and log out of it and then log back in with the updated id so as to 'refresh' the account on it.

Use iTunes on your computer.  With the iPad connected, sign into your Apple account and check for updates.
Doing this should straighten out the problem.

  • Cannot update applications via iphone

I have had my iPhone 3gs 16gb for about two weeks. The day I got it I updated to 3.1.2 software. Since then some apps will update and some won't. Currently I am trying to update Recorder. I get the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". I have tried to update the application with wifi at home and at work. I have turned off the wifi and tried updating the app with 3g network and I have tried it with the 3g network and wifi turned off using only the Edge network. All attempts have resulted in the same message. I also tried restarting the phone. Then I tried resetting the network settings.
I can connect to the iTunes store and download music without any problems. I can delete the application and re download it from the app store, but when I did this it did not recognize that I already own the app and I was charged for the application that I already owned. I am able to update the applications through iTunes on my laptop, then sync to get the application updated that way. This does not address the issue that I cannot update applications through my phone though.
If anyone has any thoughts please let me know. Thank you for the help.

We have had that issue on my wife's phone, but like you said its not really a big deal. Just enter the correct password for the login. This is not the case with my phone though. It does not prompt for any other account. It just gives the error message. I've had iPhones for a couple of years now and 99% of the apps we share were bought through my account since my wife has only had hers for a couple of weeks. The apps I've had the problem with so far were bought through my account. I've tried everything I can think of with no luck so far. The first time I noticed this I updated about 6 apps at once and only one of them gave me this issue. That was Gym Buddy. I deleted it from my phone and re-downloaded it, but instead of notifying me that I already owned the app and it was free to download, it charged me for it as if it were a new purchase. The next app I experienced this with was the Recorder app. I downloaded the update via iTunes and synced my phone to install the update. I haven't had any other updates yet but I'll let you know if I have any other problems and what app it is. Again, if anyone else has had this issue and found a solution, please let me know. Thanks.

  • White screen problem after updating to 1.1 firmware

My 2G iPod Nano worked fine with 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 firmware but after updating to 1.1 I get white screen everytime I turn it on after longer period of time. Turning the iPod off and then right back on makes it work again. I have done restore 3 times without effect. I even removed the firmware files so that iTunes downloads them again when doing the restore but that didn't work either.
Should I return it or wait for new firmware? Has anyone else had this problem after updating to 1.1?

    Disconnect iPod and close iTunes.
Firmware files are in "Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates" folder.
You should still have the 1.0.2 files named "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw" and "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw.signature" in there if have you upgraded from 1.0.1 version.
Remove 1.1 files from the folder so that only those to files are in there.
Disconnect from network (I switched off my wlan) so that iTunes can't download the new version. Connect your iPod and do Restore, iTunes will now use the old firmware files because it can't connect to the internet.
