Just what do you mean by "First I uploaded the music from a flash drive into his cloud"? What did you do?

Note that you can only sync with one iTunes library/computer.

  • Problem transfering music to Nokia 5000

    Greetings,
Using Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.9.2 under Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, using Bluetooth connection to my Nokia 5000.
I'm trying to transfer music files to the phone using Nokia Music Manager. I'm unable to play any transferred files in my phone - whenever I try, I'm getting "File corrupted" message. The converted files (to AAC format) play fine in Music Manager itself. Also, if I transfer the original MP3 files directly using file transfer, they play fine in the phone.
The same problem also existed with the previous version of Nokia PC Suite (I think that was 7.0.8.2).
    Regards,
    Dimitri

  • Help needed - transferring music to N73

    Hi,
Just got this phone - have tried downloading my music files on my hard drive to my phone via usb using the music manager 1.0 on pc suite 6.80.21. MY pc is running Windows xp pro sp2.
My problem starts when I've scanned my pc for music, then copied to my phone. I've changed the format to AAC, but it's not showing that when it's copying. When I disconnect and check my phone, the songs have been saved but comes up with error message " unable to play sound" or something to that tune!
Please help - haven't got a clue why it wont play, so need it in idiot language please!!
    Thanks,
    Kirsty

    Kirsty,
I've got (almost) the same problem. I transfer music to my N73 via Music Manager but they will not play under the 'Music' option. I've tried transfering in MP4 and AAC format. Incidently, the song shows up under 'Gallery' and will play normally. However, I want the song to play under 'Music' so that I can produce play lists etc.
Interestingly, i've tried bluetoothing songs in mp3 format and they work a treat - although the file size is significantly higher, hence the requirement to use AAC and MP4.
Can anyone shed light on songs being on the phone but not listing under 'Music'?
    Kind regards,
    David
    David,
Have you tried using the Update Music Library under options in the Library menu. This updates all the songs just transferred.
I'm having problems with the M4A format, I can rip CD's into Nokia Music Manager into either AAC or M4A format, but only the AAC format plays on the PC or phone, any ideas? I'm also only getting sound out of one headphone, but if I use the radio both headphones are ok?

  • Zen Touch 40 GB: problems transferring music files and playli

    Hi,
Creative Zen Touch 40 GB, one year old<
    [color="#330000">PlaysForSure Firmware 2..0<
    Creative MediaSource Organizer 5.0.38<
    Creative?Sync Manager 5.0.9.0<
    Windows XP Service Pack 2<
527?music (.wma) files on the player; 4205 MB of free space<
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to?transfer music files and playlists to my Zen Touch player now that the amount of free space on it has fallen below 5 GB. More often than not, it's necessary to put the player into Recovery mode, perform a clean-up, and then reboot and rebuild the library before Sync Manager works properly. I often need to repeat this process several times before I can transfer anything. Increasingly, too, Windows fails to detect the presence of the player when I connect it to my computer. Rebooting both the player and the computer usually fixes this issue. Transferring files by dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer is obviously much quicker than using Sync Manager, but here again I keep running into problems. It's as if the player freezes and refuses to take on-board any more files. Also, I can't find a way to transfer playlists except with Sync Manager. Are these known problems? I recalling running into similar issues with the Zen Touch 20 GB a few years ago. And could the fact that I'm doggedly using an old (998) and underpowered computer be an issue? I'm thinking of replacing the computer anyway, but is it likely that these synchronization problems would diminish or disappear altogether if I were to upgrade to something speedier? Thanks for any insights,Pete

I too have a simular problems! Managing music is the biggest problem with over 0 Gigs. Some artists songs sometimes change name titles, artists,?and etc. Win Explorer is most used by me now. Yes, I do lose sync from time to time! Especially when I open two windows on the portable zen. There are two tools that need. . Playlist management - it takes too long to do it on the player. I want to create "Gym Vibes" and had it on my old creative?Nomad player, but couldn't transfer. "Creative Sync Manager" doesn't do it!?Without all that sync stuff how can I create and edit creative's playlist on a PC?2. A method for detecting dupicates? This is my second creative portable and if I don't get the tools I won't buy another!

  • Problem transfering music/updating ipod

I recently moved and changed computers. My ipod had my library from home on it but i had a new library at my apt. i plugged my ipod in to see what kind of transfer there would be and it erased my ipod and filled it with the new library. then i went back home, and reversed it with my old library. finally, i had enough at my apt so once more i erased my ipod and built it with the library from my computer. today i tried to traditionally transfer music, adding music into my ipod. it would not update, it said it was finished updating but when i looked, none of the new songs were transfered into my ipod.... please help im so frustrated. ive tried reinstalling but that doesn't solve the problem.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
What you are trying to do is illegal. You cannot take your friend's music. That is one of the reasons for the message.
Also, even if legal, you cannot use iTunes to move music from iPod to computer.

  • Having problems transfering music to my Nano between laptop and desktop.

Recently my desk top PC broke down. I then got a Nano for my birthday (cool) so bought some podcasts and tracks from i-store and downloaded a small proportion of my cd collection using my laptop. For some reason it takes a couple of hours to download a cd into i-tunes. For that reason, now my PC is back with me I downloaded the rest of my cd collection onto the hard drive then transfered the music into the recently installed i-tunes.
Here's the problem, when I connected the nano to the PC for the first time I was asked if I wanted to replace the present library (laptop) with the new PC library. I want both as I don't see how to get the bought and paid for stuff off the laptop, onto my PC and then on to the Nano.
I can understand why this may of happened as you could just plug your i-pod/nano etc into someone elses laptop and bootleg their music but I don't want to have tp pay for my downloads twice. Can anyone help me out?

your iphone can only synce with one pc at a time, but when you want to add songs to your iphone for another pc, and you don't want to lose the data that you already have,
1- on your music store creat a new list(on your iphone)
    2-press synce
3- the songs that are on the pc, drag them to the play list you created and synce.
that is what i always do

  • Problem transfering music from itunes to iphone

Hi! Wondering if you could help: I can play in Itunes the music I download. But when i decide to transfer these songs from Itunes to my Iphone 4 by draging it, like I always did before, it doesn't work. By the way I just bought a new laptop and downloaded Itunes on it. Can someone tell me what could be the problem?

hi, your message is kind of old and you've probably already figured out how to transfer the music. i just read some of the replies to you and see that no one mentions the "Autofill" option so i wanted to let you know--just in case it might help you to do things a bit less complicated. i had the same problem with the new version of iTunes (11.0) and discovered the best way to transfer your music is to add it to your iTunes library like you usually do and click on the "Autofill" button at the bottom so the music is transferred without problems. You still won't get to keep your playlists (I know right? ******* genius whoever came up with this brilliant idea...) and you must make sure you're "auto-filling" the music from the recently added list, otherwise it will just transfer music from a different location.
i hope this helps! you can email me or PM me if you've got any other questions!

  • Problem transferring music to iPod touch

Ok, so I just bought the IPT 2G 16gig less than a week ago, and i love it. So I put in a cd and load it into my library, and everything works just fine; until I try to take the music and put it into the touch. I drag the music to my ipod and it wont go in. I cant sync my ipod because my family has ipods too, and i dont want all their music on my ipod. Can anyone help me?
Also, this is my second ipod, my first being an ipod nano 2G. I had a different itunes on a different computer, and i was wondering if there was a way that i could take my nano, put it into my IPT library, and dump all the songs on my nano into that.

Fire up iTunes with your ITP connected. Under devices in the left hand pane click on your iPods name. Go to the centre panel and under the options heading make sure the manually manage music and videos option is checked. Now you wont need to sync, you can just hit the disclosure triangle in the left panel next to your iPod's name, select the 'music' heading under it and then go to the File menu and select 'new playlist' and drag the songs you want from your itunes library and drop them onto that playlist. (alternatively, if you already have playlists created under your itunes library, you should be able to just drag the playlists themselves into the ipod to transfer those songs over.
As to your question about transferring songs from your nano, you'll have to hit google for that, it's not a topic that can be discussed here given the T&C's of this forum.

  • Problems transfering music library from RealPlayer to IPOD

Just bought the 80 gb IPOD. When I transerred my music library, which is very large and (unfortunately) on RealPlayer, many of the songs are cut off when I play them on the IPOD. They still work fine in RealPlayer on my computor. But the IPOD cuts out (and goes on to the next song) when there is approximately 15% of the song left to play. Very strange.
More key facts: 1. library is about 68GB. 2. All of the library was originally saved using the RealPlayer software. 80% of the library is in the RealAudio format (.ra extension); the balance is with the MP3 format. The songs that cut out on the IPOD are all ones that were saved with the RealAudio format. The ones with the MP3 format work fine on the IPOD. So, 80% of my songs on the IPOD end early 3. Most of the songs were saved on the then-current RealPlayer version during 2004 or 2005. So it was not ancient technology. All was saved at 192kb/s whether it was in MP3 or RealAudio format. Any help would be very much appreciated.

"The songs that cut out on the IPOD are all ones that were saved with the RealAudio format. "
That is the problem. That format is not compatible with the iPod.
You need to convert them to a format that is.

  • Problem transfering music to iphone

    Hi
I guess you see this question a lot of times, but in this case I feel something is really wrong and may be just a silly mistake.
I have a PC and a Ipad and I bought my music through my Ipad. When I conected both, they shared the music and all was fine, I was able to hear it on the PC and on the Ipad.
Then I got an Iphone and when I pluged it to my PC it got most of the Ipad apps I had on the PC backup. But it did not transfer the music. The I checked and it turns out that my Ipad account and my itunes account were different on my ipad but the same on the iphone, so I fixed that and now both share the same account for itunes, and now I can see my music con "music I bought" on itunes. But when I try to download it from icloud, suddenly it stops and it wont let me get the music.
I pluged my iphone to the PC and the PC says that the music is in the iphone, but in the iphone the itunes is empty and in settings says that I have 0 songs... So IDK what is happening :S
    any Ideas?

Yes I have had an iPod so the setting is fine, I think I have ticked automatically sync when iphone is connected and sync only ticked songs. The iPhone has transferred all the music files like ring tones to iTunes on my computer but it will not transfer music from iTunes to iPhone. It is so annoying! Do you think it is because I already have an iPod runnings against iTunes my account? Is there some rule you can only authorise one device? Sorry to trouble you but the trouble shooting pages does not answer this. Thanks.

  • Problems transfering music from external hard drive to ipod.

When I plug both ipod and external hard driver (WD 1600B014) into my Gateway laptop, only 1 device will work at a time with the other saying "usb device not recognised". This means I am unable to copy selected itunes songs onto my ipod.
This is driving me insane as I have 60gb of music on my hard drive which I want to chop and change frequently.
I have tried all manner of solutions including buying a powered usb hub (belkin) and starting a clean sheet with my laptop, installing all manner of new drivers for the usb ports.
I have the same problem with my 5G ipod 40gb.
I have tried the same problem on my dads desktop computer and the same problem arrises.
Does anyone have any answers as this has been driving me mad for ages and ages.
Is this a common thing or is it a problem with Western digital hard drives (although i thought they were a pretty big brand).
Any help would really be appreciated.

if I want to copy all those song files onto my iPod, they have to be copied into itunes first, and there's not nearly enough space on my desktop for that.
No, you don't have to copy the tracks to your internal hard drive. Just turn off the "copy music to iTunes Music Folder when adding" option in the iTunes Advanced preferences. Then use the "Add To Library" menu command and select the appropriate folder(s) on your external drive. iTunes will add the tracks to the Library but not move them to the internal drive.
Once that's done, use iTunes to transfer the music to the iPod. You can then, if iTunes is set for manual synchronization, remove the tracks from the Library if you want to remove the reference to the external drive.

  • Problems transferring music with USB 2.0

I recently installed a USB 2.0 PCI card with 4 ports, the card installed fine and plugging my Nano into it was fine, however, when I try to transfer music onto the Nano it keeps freezing. It'll transfer maybe the first 2 or 3 tracks of an album and then stop. Clicking on 'Update iPod' means it'll do perhaps another 2 tracks and then it'll freeze again. I have to keep clicking on 'Update iPod' to eventually get all the songs moved over - it kinda defeats the object of using USB 2.0!!!
I'm running SP 2 so thats not the problem and everything else that's connected to the new ports are running fine. Any ideas...anyone...please??!!

    Hi,
what you could try is to reinstall the chipset driver because I think the USB is related to the chipset.
In my opinion the upgraded Windows had changed the USB driver from Toshiba one to MS one. So the Port replicator is not recognized all times.
