Problem trying to create user in iManager

Hello all, When I try to create a user in iManager, I do not have the
context of user in my tree. Going from the examples in the training doc, do
I need to create this context from scratch ?

500 internal server error when trying to create users

I am getting a 500 internal server error when trying to create users. What is the cause? We tried reinstalling the latest java jdk release and that didn't help.

Check whether your DBControl or ASControl service is still running or crashed. EM is not able to connect to the Management Server.
For instance in Windows, you may see that the Servise is not started. Then check for error logs in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/logs for any related error messages in the log files

Lots of problems trying to delete users

My situation is that my girlfriend and I were sharing one account. Well the desktop and dock was getting very cluttered, so I wanted to create a seperate account for her. Which then I decided that I was just going to change the names of both accounts and use the new account because it would be easier to transfer my files.
I had alot of problems trying to change short names of accounts, and since that did not seem possible I tried to delete the account which I had just made. In Account Preferences, I tried to delete a newly created account. I unlocked the padlock to make changes, but I could not even select any of the accounts. I did this from another admin account first. I even tried this with the root account, and still I could not even select any accounts in Account Prefences.
The only accounts I can select/delete are accounts that I had just created and not logged into yet. After I logged into a new account, an orange cirlce icon with the check mark in the middle shows up beside the new account in Account Preferences.
Then I found something in a forum that mentioned how to delete an account through Terminal. I created a dummy account just for practice. That seemed to work well enough. I tried to delete my other new account that I made for myself. Well I had switched the names on the two accounts. So when I typed in the name of the new account, Terminal thought it was still the name of the original account. The original account seems to be gone, but all the files are still accessible(luckly I had set the permissions before so that we had access to each others files easily.) I stopped in the middle of the process of fully following the instuctions on a forum on the original account and I lost the site because I was on the original account when deleteing in terminal.
My question is what can I do to either get the account back or any other things I can do to fix my problem. I was thinking about just taking all the files from the old account and just transfer them to a newly created account.
She has photoshop, so I was not sure how that would effect that program.
All the files are still in Users folder in the Mac folder in My Computer. So that is good.
I created another new account called "Jennifer Stoltes"(short name "jennifer") so I could just transfer everything from the accidentally deleted account. When I sign on this user the name shows up as "new" in the User name in the upper right corner of the screen. "new" is the name of the account I created to try deleting through Terminal, which I thought I completely deleted.
How do I transfer everything from one account to another. Can I re-create the original account because the folder is still in the Users folder in finder.
I don't know who would want to tackel the problems I created. If all else fails, I might just have to call tech support or take it to the apple genius bar.

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu and enter /private/var/log/ as the folder's location; once this folder has appeared, check the modification date of the file named daily.out. If this date is prior to the deletion of the account, follow the instructions in sections 1 and 2 of this article. Doing this will restore the account setup to the configuration it was in within 5 minutes of the timestamp on the file mentioned earlier.
If not, create two new administrator accounts on the machine, log in with each account, and then copy the data associated with one of the two original accounts to the desktop. Once this has been done, move the files to the correct location in the current home folder, restart the computer or log out from all of the accounts except for either of the new ones, delete the old ones, and then use this application to change the short names of the current accounts.

Problem trying to create FIELD SYMBOLS in BADI.

I'm trying to create a Field Symbol in method CHECK of BADI me_process_req_cust (well, I'm working on a Z implementation).
The problem is that I'm trying to create a FIELD SYMBOL and when I check the syntaxsis, I receive the next error:
Clase ZCL_IM_MM_PURREQ_UPDATE,Método IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST~CHECK
Names may only consist of the characters "A-Z", "0-9" and "_". In
addition, they may not begin with a number.
This is the code:

instead of that it should be something like this
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <sy_mereq> TYPE mereq3328-afnam.
With your code you will be getting a syntax error saying sy-mereq is not defined,as it will be looking for the mereq in the system fields.

Problems trying to create scrollable text in InDesign CC

I'm making an interactive presentation in InDesign. Im trying to create some scrollable text. i didn't know how to do that in CC, so I looked up some videos over the web and learned I needed to use the "Folio Builder" or the "Overlay panel". i never was able to find the latter and the Folio Builder gives me this message: "A software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please go to the Help menu and select Updates to get the required software." My software is already up-to-date (at least that's what the Adobe Application Manager tells me). Is this happening because I'm using a trial version? I'm planning to buy the Creative Cloud package but first I need to know it's worthy. Thanks for your help!

Problem trying to create graphic style...

I'm trying to create a nave menu and in doing so, create a single graphic style that can achieve my end goal. I can get what I want by using a seperate shape, but that defeats the purpose of the single graphic style. I thought I could achieve the look using an effect under
Effect>Pathfinder
But that doesn't get the result I expected. Below you can see both what the graphic style currently looks like, and what I want to add to it (the gloss) hopefully within the same graphic style. Is this possible?

Problem trying to create an itunes account

Hello. i recently downloaded itunes for my pc and i wanted to create an itunes account so i got on itunes and when i clicked on create account i got a message saying "We could not complete your itunes store request. The requested resource was not found" i've noticed other users are having the same problem. i didn't see any soultions though and the ones i heard i tried. i have norton internet security on my pc but i turned it off thinking maybe that could stop itunes from working but after i did that it is still not working. i tried configuring windows firewall to see if it was blocking itunes but it is on the allow list so i'm not sure what else to do. does anyone know what i could to fix this?

AppServer: problems trying to add users to roles in security dialog

I'm trying to learn J2EE using AppServer. My current example has a client accessing
an entity bean. I want two classes of user - Reader, and Updater. Most methods
of Home and Remote are accessible to both classes, a few are restricted to users
in Updater role. I'm currently having problems adding users to roles in deploytool.
I have defined users using the Admin client.
I have implemented and test run client and entity bean without security restrictions, it works.
I have defined roles associated with the application.
I have allocated roles to every method in Home and Remote interface of bean.
I have extracted the generated XML file and checked the <assembly-descriptor> section and
it appears that all roles and role descriptions are defined as required.
deploytool lets me use the "Security Role Mapping" dialog, I can select either of my roles and
try "Add user to role" - subsequent dialog shows my users and allows me to "Map user to role" -
but selected user does NOT appear in the user names panel.
What am I doing wrong or what am I omitting? Hints please!

I looked in the Sun file you mentioned and found the users were defined.
When I restarted AppServer and deploytool, the users were shown in the appropriate
panel.
There is probably some minor bug in deploytool that causes the User Panel not
to be updated as it should be after a user has been added to a role.

Trying to create user with APEX 4.1

We have recently upgraded to APEX 4.1. This procedure worked in 3.1. I have given the user all necessary privs. I am getting this error when I run the procedure. I will also send procedure.

Trying to create user template and login script

I'm trying to setup a machine at work that's got an Admin account and a Student account.
I want the student account to have limited privileges and to reset the desktop, dock etc. (user template) upon login.
I've got a document here that was created by a former employee that states the following:
Create a user template: (do this from the admin account)
*Sudo ditto /Users/Student /Student/Library/User\ Template/Student.lproj*
Upon entering this into terminal I was getting a message saying the real path was wrong, and now nothing happens when I enter the above.
Ok, so in: "system/Library/User Template" there is a folder called Student.lproj
Within Student.lproj there are no files.
Should Student.lproj even exist there with no contents for this to work? When Terminal creates a template, does it copy this information into Student.lproj or does it create a new folder for the template?
The account is hanging for quite a while on Login and logout now as well.
Once I create this template for the Student account, I need to create a login script that will restore the template upon login of the Student account.
please help

It's /System/Library/... not /Student/Library
Also, if you want it to reset at log out, just have them log in as Guest.

Problem trying to create a list of JTrees

Hi,
my problem is that I am attempting to create a Jlist of JTrees. I am not sure if Swing supports this or not - I am at the stage where the JList of JTrees is rendering fine. The problem is that I cannot select the other trees in the list.
I tried to add a mouse listener to my JList to work around this but this does not seem to work:

You have to copy the weblogic.jar to jdev_home\jdev\lib\ext and restart jdev. You also have to point the connection to the weblogic.jar in the \bea\wlserver6.1\lib directory. That worked for me. Good luck.

Problem trying to create and manage external tables

I am having problems having created my external tables trying to select from them. I created the table thus:

It looks like you may need to grant permissions to the target directory.
The ORA-29913 error can also happen in external tables when you don't grant read and write permissions to the directory:

The problem is that the message file for external tables oin not the English version. These steps will address the issue:

Swc / accordion problem, trying to create a 3-level dynamic nav

Hi!
First time poster, long-time troller. I've been working on a
CMS system and having a little trouble creating a three level
navigation, that's uses the functionality of the accordion
component, but styled with dynamically loaded fonts.
I'm using the "flexlibs" swc (and was playing with degrafa,
but think it's a little much for what I'm trying to do). What I'm
doing is:
- pulling the three level navigation (1st level - brand, 2nd
- campaign, 3rd - job),
- a VBOX holds the entire nav, the first level is an
accordion with:
-- a header (that somehow draws the data (this is my first
question) to put in a swc I created, in a Header.mxml component.);
and a
-- repeater that does the same thing for "campaign" (2nd
level): vbox, vaccordion (header + repeater), that holds:
-- a swc component, called "JobComp" (I've been playing
swapping it with a flash-made swc but can't seem to figure out how
to pass initialization variables in the constructor)
I used "swc"'s for the nav components, because the fonts are
"AGBuchBQ-Bold" and I thought it'd be easier this way.
I guess my question(s) are:
1. How do I pass a variable in the constructor of a swc
Component?
2. Am I doing this right? Or should I construct the
navigation ALL in flash, export as a swc, and just pass in the xml
to the flash component (which means I need to understand #1...)
3. Is there a way to load / set font in the accordion / list
components that are not the basic fonts? If I can style it all in
the .css, that'd be really really helpful, I think, since it's 90%
there.

My bad i didn't see that you want to create a swc.
Well, as i said earlier, for me, the only way to pass
parameter to a constructor (i suppose you mean like new Label("my
title")) is using actionscript.
What you can do if you want to create an MXML file is
creating public parameters (or getters) in the script tag and use
the [bindable]. As far as i understood Flex, properties in an MXML
will have no action on your component if you don't use this tag.
You can as well create a method that will apply these
parameter after its creation, example :
You create a MyComponent class which has different properties
like displaySubComponent and maximumValue. In your class, you
create a method called "applyParameters" which will do something to
initialize it.
Then you call use it like this:

onCreationComplete={a_component.applyParameters()} />
And yes, i thought
"dataProvider="{repeatCampaign.currentItem..job }" was strange but
it's good to know that we can do that ;)
