Problem Uninstalling Dreamweaver
I'm having a problem uninstalling Dreamweaver. When I try uninstalling it, it starts uninstalling it and then it just crashes. If I attempt to reinstall it to uninstall it, then it's stuck on "Preparing Files".
Any ideas?
Have you tried the clean script?

Uninstall Dreamweaver problems
I hope this isn't appearing twice. If it does my apologies to the community. To make a very long story short. I update an extension from an Adobe preferred vendors. Update to me means a little fix etc. I din't realize it was a complete new extension. When it asked to install I said yes. Big mistake. If had known it was completely different I would have unistalled the extension first. Now the problem.
Dreamweaver C or CS6 will not open. I was going to clean the slate and start again, there is the problem. On the Windows 7 control panel/unistall the Dreamweaver programs don't even appear. I will not do anytnng else, way to many shared files. Any help as to how to uninstall and re-install would be appreciated.
BarryWhich extension?
Did you try disabling the extension from Extension Manager?

Uninstall Dreamweaver and Flash MX 2004
Hi,
I'm having problems finding information in product support
regarding how to uninstall Dreamweaver and Flash MX 2004 from Mac
OS X.
Could anyone help by directing me to on-line help, or other
step-by-step instructions. I would really like to get all
files/extensions/etc off my computer (because I'm a neat freak) and
don't like having misc. files lingering around.
Much Appreciated,
DonPut the files in the Trash. To find orphans do a spotlight
search for DW MX2004, etc and trash these.
If in doubt, don't Trash the files, but zip them so they are
not accessible to your system. Ditto on all the orphans in the
/Library/..... and /User/Library/.....
Once you are sure that you really no longer want MX 2004,
then you can trash the zipped files. -
Cannot uninstall Dreamweaver CS4
I'm about to install Dreamweaver CS6 on my MacBook Pro (OSX version 10.9.4) and am trying to uninstall Dreamweaver CS4. I keep getting a dialog box stating "Startup Error Required files are missing." What to do? Should I simply drag all CS4 related files and folders to the trash?
Thanks Ken,
I think the essential problem is that I have no idea where the CS4 installation discs might be. Without them, all I’ve got at this point are useless aliases.
I tried the cleaner tool but with no success. I’ll keep searching and thanks again for your help. -

Problem with dreamweaver and Flash
Hi, maybe someone can help me, i have any problem with
dreamweaver and flash, i have a page and i have a menu and
sub-menu, and the same page i have a category en flash 550 x 700 (
photography and more... ) but when the menu to unfold
the menu to see under flash and it cant see ( sorry my
english is bad.... i hope you can understand me, and help me.. )
i dont now why always flash ever stay up, or first, and
another information under flash... this a problem... if you have
menus...
thanks.... have nice day.....This is a drawback of using flash or any other active
content. By default, all active content including flash will
display over every other content and thats why your menu stays
under the flash movie. Some people make the flash background
transparent to show content under the flash movie, but that will
not work for menu items.
I would suggest that you make the menu such that it does not
overlap with the flash movie. -

Problems Uninstalling Acrobat 9 pro ...
I was wondering if anyone else was having problems uninstalling Acrobat 9 Pro. I run an IT department and have tried everything that can think of to get the thing uninstalled. Nothing's working, it continuously comes up with errors saying that it can't uninstall, that there is already a newer version of Acrobat installed, or some other random errors. The computer is an "extra"computer, and the cd key for Acrobat 9 Pro is now installed on another machine. All I want to do is take Acrobat 9 off and reinstall Acrobat 8.
Any suggestions?Deactivate before uninstalling (unless this is a volume license). Then use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool.

I'm having problems activating dreamweaver on new pc using original activation code
I have a copy of StudioMX 2004 and was having problems activating Dreamweaver on my new pc using the original code. It says there is a network error but there isn't. When I try to activate by phone the number they give is for Lloyds bank insurance. I did a live chat with Support and they gave me a new code which worked and activated Dreamweaver but I didn't think to activate Fireworks at the same time. When I have tried using either the old code or the new I get the same error message and same Lloyds bank phone number. I have tried live chat but they refuse to help saying they don't support Dreamweaver 2004 ..any one any ideas?
Hi gb147,
The version of Dreamweaver that you have does not support any of the latest web standards. While I advise you to follow Ken's instructions, I also want you to download a trial version of the latest Creative Cloud application https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/dreamweaver and give it a run. The page also has some excellent resources to help you get started.
Thanks,

I have Studio 8 on my computer ( MS windows xp sp2). I
uninstalled all of the programs, through the control panel, in
preparation to installing CS3 Web Premium . The control panel
indicated that the program was uninstalled but when I checked
Windows Explorer all of the files are still there. The programs are
missing from the ALL Programs menu. Can someone tell me how to
completely uninstall Dreamweaver?Uninstall scripts usually just take out core components
leaving some behind in case you are doing a re-install. Just remove
the files that are left over and you should be good to go. -

Strange problem with Dreamweaver Pop-Up menus
Hello:
I have encountered a very strange problem with DreamWeaver
pop-up menus, and I was wondering if I could get some help from
this forum, as I can't seem to find an answer anywhere else.
The problem involves use of DreamWeaver's pop-up menu
behavior — all works as expected, and my local preview of the
Web page/site works fine, but when I upload the site to a server, I
see extra question mark and "box" characters added to my drop-down
menus. This problem is inconsistent between browsers: Sometimes I
see it only on IE, sometimes I also see it on Firefox.
For example, check out the following URLs:
http://libertycreativesolutions.net/clients/cci/
... this implementation of drop-down menus ("Services"
button, etc.) displays an extra "box" character for each of the
drop-down menu items, but this only occurs in IE -- Firefox is
fine.
http://libertycreativesolutions.net/clients/microtek/HTML/MicroTek_home.html
... this implementation of drop-down menus shows an extra
question mark above the triggering link onMouseOver for Firefox,
and in IE, it shows this "box" character for both the triggering
buttons and for each menu item.
For both of these sites, the pop-up menus work without a
problem *when I'm looking at a local version on my workstation*.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is going on here????
Any help for this problem is appreciated.
Note that I stripped out the JavaScript code for menu
information from the <head></head> area of each of
these pages and placed it in a linked JavaScript document.

Having problems uninstalling and running Photoshop CS3
I downloaded the trial for Adobe Photoshop CS3 and it has now expired. I tried to uninstall it but it does nothing. It will not come off my computer. If I try to open it, it tells me
The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support. I tried redownloading and reinstalling it but it still does the same thing and customer support after waiting on hold for 10 minutes for someone to answer, just sent me here.
How do I get rid of this program???
Also now that this is there, I can't run my CS2. It tells me my settings have changed and I need to reactivate but it won't let me reactivate apparently I guess it's been activated too many times (the first computer I had it on crashed and so I had to reinstall it on this computer I am using now) So now because of whatever is wrong with this CS3 I can never again use my CS2. In reference to Lynley Stanley, I too am having the exact problem. I downloaded as for my class of Animation and Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University while waiting for my software to come in the mail from Academic Superstore. I am so frustrated about this that such an issue has caused so much madness. In the process of trying to remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 from my Windows Vista I was searching for info on how to uninstall as I was in a hurry to uninstall the program because my 4th week into class started using the program as students are expected to follow along having their own for assignments. Well, now I'm behind and I don't want to fail because of something that is causing the problem as I'd like to call intentional. In the process of trying to figure a way to uninstall fast as not to fall behind and fail in class I downloaded Perfect Uninstaller but I don't know how it will work. Now in reference of trying to quickly uninstall just to keep up with class, that will not be possible, so now I had to take time to look online knowing I'm falling more and more behind because of this difficult matter I finally found this and hopefully I'll be going somewhere as to have the problem corrected. Alright, now I'm going to try with what has been listed. Thank you for the Info. :) -
Uninstall Dreamweaver w/o Uninstalling CS4
I need to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver, but when I go to Add or Remove Programs my only option is to uninstall CS4 altogether. Is there a way to get to a screen that allows me to simply uninstall Dreamweaver and reinstall just it? Thanks.
I am not sure how it works with cs4, but with cs3 I selected the uninstall ( and the next choice was the components. I had to uninstall Acrobat 8 and reistall it and I had the choice after setup started.
If you choose to uninstall Adobe Suite, once setup starts, you can select the component to uninstall. If you only unistall one thing, you should not have to "deactivate" the suite. Once it is removed, then you can go through the same process to put it back on your computer. Make sure you save your site definitions (site/manage sites/Export) and do them one at a time to a location to import them back in.
