can anybody help me uninstall photoshop elements -I had a problem with this program after loading from a DVD, the organiser works but not the editor.However on trying to uninstall i received the error message 1306: a file ProgramData......./Thumbdatabase.db3 could not be uninstalled because another file has exclusive access -it appears the file is open in the editor ???. Can anyone help

Restart the computer and see if that frees the lock. If not run Task Manager and end any task that has the word 'Elements' in it.

I uninstall Photoshop Elements 11 due to problems and cannot reinstall it.
When I run the installation setup file, the application offer me only to uninstall the previous installation.
As there is no application available (as I uninstall it), the installation process stops.
I've tried to clean the registry, manually uninstall using the Adobe recommandation for the Photoshop Elements 11.
Impossible to obtain a recovery of the installation process.

Problem completely uninstalling Photoshop Elements 10

How do I completely uninstall Photoshop Elements 10? I have already gone to the uninstall program, and it uninstalled it, however it is stil on my computer. When I go to Adobe it is still there, when I try to delete it, this is the message that I get: You require permission from SYSTEM to make changes to this folder.
I have no idea what this means, or what to do about it. I have installed Photoshop Elements 11.
I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit).

Permissions issue means you need to be logged in as Admin in order to uninstall PSE10. If that doesn't work, please download CS Cleaner tool from : CSCleaner and run it as Admin, thereby uninstalling all left out traces of PSE10.

I'm trying to uninstall photoshop elements version 8.0 with 11.0. When I try to uninstall photoshop elements 8.0. It won't uninstall. I get an error message that reads "error message #1316; a network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:\windows\installer\adobe photoshop elements 8.0.msi"...What can I do to fix this?

Just go to Help>Deactivate in the editor before you uninstall.

Problem with Photoshop Elements Printing

I have been using Photoshop Elements for a couple of years now and know it pretty well. Today while attempting to print, a strange problem came up: After going through the protocol to make a print, just before the image prints PE does a very fast auto correction that basically ruins all the color correction I have made on the image. How do I disable this function?

Hi and thanks for your reply. I checked the settings under "Print", "More Options", then "Color Management" and it only has "Print Space", none of the three options that you said I should have. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Check your color management by clicking More Options in the print dialog There are basically three options:1) Printer Manages Color2) Elements Manages color3) No color Management Make sure everything is consistent e.g. if you choose Elements manages color make sure color management is switched off in the print driver.

Problems installation Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7

I tried to install Photoshop elements 8 on my Windows 7 computer, but the installation gives a failure after a certain time. A file "...cab" is not working and may be corrupt ( exact failure code I can give, if necesary). Is there any possibility to get this file or the program Photoshop Elements 8 as download file so that I can complete the installation? Thank you in advance for your answers.

I just got the same problem already some time ago when I tried to install this programm in my computer. At that time (March 2012) the program crashed my computer, I had to reinstall all the Software completely including system software. The program I purchased in December 2011 from Amazon together with a Reflecta crystal Scan slide scanner as bundle, so I thought it will work.
I will try to install the program from the download link you gave me, in case it does not work, what can I do next without having to buy a newer version?

Problems with Photoshop Elements 11

I have a problem with Photoshop Elements 11, which i bought last week. Installing was completed according the instructions. When I started to use the program my one year old HP-computer with Windows 8.1 informed that there a failure in the Photoshop program and the did not open.

I accidentally deleted something in Elements 8. The program told me things were missing and I should reinstall the program. So, I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall it. It installs to about 7/8 of the way and then the disc is ejected and it says some elements are missing and installation has failed. The analysis program has failed to find the error and I really need to complete the project I was working on! Can anyone help??

What analysis program did you use? I would recommend running the Adobe Support Advisor. Also did you receive any error messages when uninstalling Photoshop Elements 8? Finally do you know what you originally deleted?

I just installed the trial copy of Photoshop Elements 8 on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.1. Now I would like to uninstall it. According to the readme file which came with the product:
"To uninstall Photoshop Elements 8, you MUST USE THE INSTALLER'S UNINSTALL OPTION; do not drag the program to the trash to uninstall it."
I lunch setup program from dmg image, but there is no uninstall option there.
How do I completely uninstall Photoshop Elements 8 and all its components from my Mac?

I am running Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10. I bought version 12 of each and want to uninstall the version 10 instances. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate with all patches but the uninstall screen does not show that either program is installed. It shows the content install but not the programs. How do I uninstall Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10? I do not want to loose my catalogs either.

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs. I have looked on my hard drive extensively for a library or utility folder that would have an uninstall program, nothing. I want to install Elements 9, but have found out that Elements 9 does not remove Elements 6, so I want to remove elements 6 first.

Strange that PSE6 does not show up via the control pane.
I wouldn’t worry about uninstalling it. The two versions sit happily side by side and PSE6 takes up hardly any file space compared with PSE9.
