Problem: Unsorted bookmarks appear in bookmarks menu, but fail to appear in Library/unsorted bookmarks.

After a virus attack ... and recovery (I'm clean now) I removed (shouldn't have) these files from: bookmarks.bak and files from the .../Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ca1ytozj.default\bookmarkbackups folder. I then reinstalled 3.6 and imported an html bookmarks file.
The problem started then. Additionally each time firefox restarted, my imported bookmarks would completely disappear and I would have to import them again. So then I uninstalled firefox 3.6 saving personal data & prefs, and installed 4.01.
Same problem with unsorted bookmarks showing in the bookmarks menu but NOT showing in Library/unsorted bookmarks. As to whether my imported bookmarks disappear on a restart of firefox 4.01, I don't yet know because I got started on this problem report.
I think what I need to do in uninstall and choose NOT to save personal data & prefs

Immediately after posting above I force quit firefox and restarted.
Unsorted bookmarks still appear in bookmarks menu but NOT in Library/unsorted bookmarks.
This time, however my imported bookmarks didn't disappear on the restart.

My iPod doesn't appear in my source menu on iTunes but it does on other computers with iTunes. I tried to reset my iPod but I can't go any further since an error message comes up on the update software. I tried to reinstall the software but I just get the same message. Icloud appears in my menu, but i am unable to select it

I'm also having the same problem, when before I hadn't. I've been trying to research this issue too w/ little success. All of a sudden I realized that not all my songs were playing and red squares w/ red circles appeared next to a bunch of music on my playlist. So I tried to delete my playlist & re-sync but I couldn't get alot of my songs back onto my iphone 4. I believe we're being forced into subscribing to the itunes Match where it stores all your music (purchased & uploaded) on the cloud. Hoping I'm wrong.

Strange problem with Audition 3.0 - Tracks Load, but don't appear, no tracks listed?

I've a collection of 15 songs I've been working on.
A few weeks ago, I loaded one of the sessions, only to find that the progress bar showed the loading of each track as normal, but there was no track data visible once the session opened!
Fortunately, I kept a back up, and transferred this over. However, now the backup has done the same thing, and I've done work on it since and don't want to have to go back to the old back up again.
What's weird is that, the files are all there listed in the directory, and appear to load, the session attributes and settings are all the same, but just no audio tracks are visible.
I'm sure there must be a way of recovering this, but I don't know what it is.
I've deleted the cache, which didn't help. I've copied the directory somewhere else, and back over again. - but no luck.
Any ideas?

Solved problem with lack of cellular network menu but..

After restoring my Iphone 4 three times, I was finally given the option of installing a carrier from my phone operator. As advised on this page I disgarded it, and my Cellular data menu was visible. BUT everytime I connect my Iphone to my computer it asks me to update the carrier! Will I loose the menu again if I update, or do I have to disgard this update every time?

Why do extensions appear in Ext Mgr, specifically for (2014) but fail to appear in the Extension menu in th program itself?

I know that many (most?) extensions are no longer supported in 2014 program, but it's not really possible to tell what's compatible and what's not from the add-ons descriptions. The Ext Mgr lists which extensions are downloaded and enabled for each app (PS CC, AI CC, PS CC2014, etc.). The extensions listed are different for each app. So, one would expect extensions listed for a given app to work there and show up in the extensions menu so they can be used. This is not the case. My Ext Mgr shows a number of extensions for PS CC 2014 that are NOT, apparently, available in that app. (This list is different from the PS CC list, which shows only things that are useable.)
Why is this? and how can one tell what will work in 2014 and what will not? Will some old add-ons be updated eventually to work with new apps?
I have asked this question elsewhere, in conjunction with another discussion, but have not received any response. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who understands what's happening here. Thanks.

some--but nothing has changed. I still have only 2 items in the extensions
window in PS 2014 (Kuler and Floating Adj). Also, the Desktop CC app keeps
telling me it has installed a number of add-ons, over and over again. My
home screen shows an endless list of these things, but they aren't actually
installed.
Any idea when this might get fixed?
Also, how does one control which app or which version (say, CC or CC2014)
the download will go to?

My McAfee SiteAdvisors is activated but doesnt show in the add-on bar. I double checked the situation under « Tool, Add-on, Extensions » and the add-on is enable. Also the « Add-on bar » is activated.The green McAfee SiteAdvisor button dissapeared after firefox update 16.02. I updated to 17 in case it would resolve the problem with no success. McAfee is still working by giving a warning page if I try to go on a suspiscious site.
Also in google search result I no longer get the little McAfee evaluation icones.

Second hard drive installed but fails to appear in disk utility

I have installed the original 160GB into the second HD bay of my Dual 1.8 G5, and have had little success of it working. I say little success because one time (not the first time) it appeared on the desktop and I was able to view and run apps. from it. However, with each additional boot it has not been visible on the desk top, system profiler, or disk utility.
?Why did I install the original Hard drive in the second bay?
Just before leaving the country I sold my mother this computer, just before delevering the computer it crashed to catastrophie. She took the computer to
a certified apple repair facility, and they removed the drive, and installed a new drive in HD bay 1. In addition, they sold her an external firewire case that which the original drive could be installed in and therefore connected to the G5.
I would rather work through this problem than use the external drive, so Please Help.

Messages appear to be deleted but do not appear in trash

When I am reading messages or when answering messages the original just disappears from the inbox. It isn't in any of the other folders. I have used Thunderbird for a long while and I have not had this problem before.

Sometimes the index of a mail folder (.msf) will get corrupted. If you right click on the name of the folder and select Properties, a 'Folder Properties' window will open. Select 'Repair Folder'. This may take care of the problem.
If you are still having problems, please look at the following items and respond with the information.
1) What operating system do you use (Win8, MAC, Linux, etc)?
2) Are you using IMAP or POP?
3) If your mail server has a browser interface (web mail access such as mail.google.com), do the messages show up there?
4) Right click on the folder in question and select Properties.
Number of messages?
Size on disk?
5) Left click on the account name; View settings for this account; highlight Server settings;
What choices are marked under "When I delete a message"?
6) What, if any, antivirus program do you have installed?

Apps appear on iphone screen but when clicked, appear then disappear...???

I 'successfully' dl apps (I get the iTunes bill) and sync and turn on/off my iPhone but my newly installed apps won't work. The ATT people don't know why...anyone???

The same thing occurred with my phone yesterday! None of my apps open for more than a brief second. The organic ones (Stocks, Weather, GoogleMaps, etc) work fine. I tried resetting and that didn't work. Maybe a resync, but Itunes seems to bring even a Cray Research supercomputer to a halt.

I have a 30GB Video iPod, & everytime I plug it in I get a an error message that says:
iPodService Module has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I'm not to sure what to do, I've tried the 5 r's & nothing helps to fix this problem.

Field on manual tabular appears using Firefox but does not appear using IE

A field in a manual tabular form appears correctly using Firefox but does not appear or appears in another field when IE is used. Javascript is used to hide certain columns on the tabular form. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

The select for the report and the javascript that is used to hide the columns are displayed below. The data for Apex_item.select_list_from_lov(12,null,'LOV_METHOD_OF_ACQ') is shown in the previous column, Date Acquired, and the column for Method Acquired is blank. It appears correctly in Firefox. Please let me know if this is sufficient.

IPod shuffle appears in My Computer but not in iTunes after upgrade to 8.1

I recently upgraded to iTunes v.8.1. Now my generation 1 Shuffle shows up in 'My Computer' but not in the iTunes 'devices'? I followed the iTunes 'help' advice - even reloading iTunes but to no avail. Anyone help please?
