like subject i've a problem with my nokia 5800.I can't do the update for my nokia because for my code 0596011 isn't avaible the upgrade to versione v40...i would to know when i can do this upgrade and if i have to attend a lot...thanks for attention...bye all...

First excuse me for my bad English.
I have just updated my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with the USB cable and plugged into the mains. At the end of the update, a window told me that I could unplug my phone and nothing more since it does not turn over: just a vibration but no screen display. I removed the battery and did another test and still nothing. Is there a solution or should I return it to the VAS.

Hi, Did the phone complete the hard reset? I.e. after the phone is completely started up, it prompts for a country selection? To do the reset, the phone must be turned off first, then hold the relative buttons together / simultaneously while turning on, until prompted for the country selection.
If you managed to complete the hard reset, and your problem is still occurring, then please keep me updated as to how you resolved it, just incase I need to also try it

Activate problem CS6 master collection with original product key

I have an original version of the Adobe CS6 master collection with a original product key. I use this version now or more than one year on my Imac with version Yosemite 10.10.2.
The last days i have the problem that my product key is not valid? How is that possible??
I re enter the product key for a lot of times but i can't reactievat my product.

As you posted elsewhere this device is a product code 0577189: RM-356 Vodafone Romania RO Red V1 - MR which network provider no longer supports, since as no longer marketed there is no incentive to do so.

My problem is when i try to update my nokia 5800 with the nokia software updater it says my current firmware is version 31.0.101, update version is also 31.0.101. I know there is a new version available,can anyone help me out please.

Serious Problem after update my 5800 with 40.0.005...

Yesterday,I updated my 5800 with FW 40.0.005. I really impressed with the new easy way of move in touch screen but this version has a big problem that I considered.
First,you have to set as a ring an .mp4 file or any video file and then lock your mobile 5800.
When you have an incomming call the screen isn't working normally and it stops for miliseconds and starts again!
When it happens the power of mobile increasing sharply and I am upset what it could happen if the call continue too much.
Please somebody check it as soon as possible because it may do harm to our mobile by any explosion from this problem!
For temporary solution a suggest not to set video files as a ringtone and if you want to do this don't lock your mobile which helps the video file to work normally.

there are alot of bugs in v40 and its is discover by the ppl like you. I Have MY nokia 5800-d1 with the RM-356 type having SWV:21.0.0.25.

NO RDS IN Radio Option (It was there in previous all version till V30&31)
Radio application can't be exited in the end
some application icons are multiplied like in previous firmware version
Thumbs of contacts on HS are loading too long
listing files in Settings/App mgr/Installation files takes way too long too
The screen won't turn off when you plugged the power. Same that it won't turn off after you unplugged from power.
Applications cannot be uninstalled. It says "Unable to start the installer" or something like that the radio application could not be quitted

Nokia 5800 Preloaded songs Activation key

Experts,
I have updated my Nokia 5800 with nokia software updater but after update the software I restore factory setting then preloaded 218 songs does not work properly and ask for activation key.
Also I dont have pin for my mobile that comes with music
Please help me to find solution

I had the same problem . I approached the local Nokia Care Centre and they activated the DRM (preloaded songs) without any charge. The process takes about an hour and is done free of cost. Please do not forget to take the original receipt (bill) vide which you have purchased the phone.

Updating Nokia 5800

My problem is fairly simple. Try to update my nokia 5800 with the pc nokia software updater, within the first couple of minutes, the pc says my phone is disconnect and then the pc suit says failure to update phone please reconnect it when i havnt touched it? Tried OTA but doesnt find update yet, Any suggestions?

I do not work for nokia but I do know how firmware updates work for branded models. I agree with everything grschinon wrote above.
Between orange and nokia you are being given incorrect information. The people on orange and nokia's support lines are just script readers that often have very little real knowledge about a problem. Thats to be expected for orange but it is disappointing that nokia care often act in the same way.
When nokia creates a new firmware they pass it to the networks before it's even released to owners of generic non-network models. After testing nokia then releases it for the generic models then as the networks approve the update it gets released for them too. The quicker a network approves the firmware the quicker nokia makes it available on it's updater. As an example vodafone UK were quick to approve the update and it is available through nokia's updater.
Nokia can never force the networks to approve new firmware so some networks get away with never releasing any updates. In the past few years orange UK have been amongst the slowest often not bothering at all.
Your situation isn't unusual or unique it has been happening for years and it's well known that the networks are the cause of this problem. Orange is the cause and sadly there is nothing that you can do about it other than to vote with your feet. Hopefully one day the networks will just allow nokia to release updates when nokia wants to, not when the networks allow them to.

Do you have to get a full windows disc to install on mac or can you download the full windows with a product key?

Well I've been trying to find a full installment of Windows 7 32/64 bit Ultimate/Home Edition/Professional but I can't find a disc. So basically I'm asking can I just download Windows 7 from the internet with the product key or do I HAVE TO get a disc and install it through Bootcamp?

I don't know if you can legally download a full Windows 7 installer, but if you can find one, you just need to copy the image to a flash drive. See:

If you just purchased this then you should go back to the iStore to get a new copy since they are responsible for providing the package with the serial number intact. If this is an old purchase then you should check your Adobe account online to see if the serial number is available as a result of registering the product.

I am assuming you have the key number, but not the actual software. Like you I have the key number (my key number good for 3 Macs), but didn't want to dig out the disc to install on another Mac. Going to Office's site I couldn't find any links to download Office, so I had to get the disc to load the program. Once that's done the Office installer will ask for your key number.

Hi flashxl,It's because of Russian network operators must approve new SW first.
Like always, a lot of bureaucracy slowing down innovation and changes. I hope RUS operators will sign the RFA and we can upgrate our nice phones very soon.
