  • Major Problem updating to Photoshop 2014 from Photoshop CC and Opening Lightroom

    windows 7 64 bit
Updated from Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 to Photoshop 2014 and Lightroom 5.5.  Now Cannot install and run Extension manager and extentions in Photoshop 2014 but continue to work in Photoshop CC.  Lightroom 5.5 refuses to open but Lightroom 4.2 continues to function sort of.
Takes two double clicks to open Photoshop CC!
Been on to Adobe support team twice.  Uninstalled Photoshop 2014 and Lightroom.  Used CC app to update to Photoshop 2014 but now exactly the same problems exist as before
    Help please!

Roger, it seems you are facing 2 separate issues, one with not being able to launch Lr 5.5 and other with not being able work with extensions in PS CC 2014.
So, here is what i would suggest:
For the Lightroom launch issue, follow the solutions mentioned under Lightroom does not launch or get error: "Develop module is disabled" after 5.5 update
And for the Extensions not available in PS CC 2014, check this out. Extensions and Extension Manager not available in Photoshop CC 2014
Also, check this for more details. http://blogs.adobe.com/photoshopdotcom/2014/04/photoshop-spring-cleaning.html
    Hope that Helps.
    Cheers!

Hi Everyone.  I'm trying to update my Photoshop CS6 Extended with associated bridge and camera Raw but I keep getting a U44M1I210 error message. I'm trying to update my Photoshop CS5, but continue to receive the same problem every time. The application manager update dialogue box simply states "some updates failed to install." There's no specific error code, but a link to contact support for further assistance. It doesn't take me to customer support, but does take me to a screen which states. "Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product." I've checked my account and the product serial number is associated with my account., so I don't see any problem.  I have not been able to find a resolution to this problem, so I hope that someone can point me in the right direction.  Thank you!

  • Having problems updating Photoshop CS6 to version 13.0.5?

What is causing problem updating Photoshop CS6 13.0 x64 Extended to version 13.0.5 (Error Code U44M2P7) on Mac running OS X 10.8,4? What is the solution?
(I tried to post this question on the Photoshop forum but was denied. What could cause this?)

I don't know why you were denied.
I have same setup as you.
    USE THIS PROCEDURE:
FIRST BE CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL, PRE CLOUD, INSTALL DMG OR CD in case something      goes badly.
THEN, DEACTIVATE YOUR RUNNING COPY OF PS6.
    UNINSTALL THAT VERSION.
LOG ON TO CREATIVE CLOUD AND CLICK ON "APPS" DOWNLOAD PHOTOSHOP.
ONCE INSTALLED, OPEN IT AND GO TO HELP>update.WHEN THIS IS DONE YOU WILL HAVE VERSION 13.1.2
    good luck,

  • Since installing the latest update of Photoshop CC two days ago, Auto Blend for focus stacking is selecting all pixels from the bottom layer instead of selecting the ones in best focus from each layer. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I installed the latest update of Photoshop CC two days ago on my Macbook Pro, and now when I try to do focus stacking by opening multiple photos and doing Auto Align and Auto Blend, the blend selects the entire bottom layer instead of selecting the in-focus areas from each layer. I even tried again on a series of images where this worked a week ago and the problem occurs. I have Photoshop on a Windows 8 machine and did not apply this latest update and it works fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

And since installing this same update, my Photoshop is crashing just after starting.
Ashutosh.Nigam suggested me in this forum to change the permissions to SLStore & SLCache Folder, but it did not work.
Ali from french Adobe support told me to delete my Settings files, but it was not enough.
A girl with no name from the same team told me to update my video card driver, but you know I run the latest Mac OS X version and everything is updated, mademoiselle.
Stephane sent me a link to a huge page of things to do :
    -  Troubleshoot account-specific fonts, but there wasn't any corrupted font
    - Delete account-specific Adobe cache files but... guess what...
    - Troubleshoot account-specific login items but... yes, that's it, I can see you understand me
    - Reset the access settings on the user account's Library folder... oh god, that was fun, I used the Terminal and sudo commands
I did all of these things because when I tried to open PhCC in an other admin session, it worked, so that was an incompatibility between my session and PhCC. But, but, but, when I tried again to lauch the app in the second session, it worked fine but refused to quit. Ha ha ha.
So you can try to delete your Settings files. I wish it'll work for you. If not you can try the long list above... or hope a better answer from the support.
I didn't change anything but Photoshop on my session and they ensure that the bug is due to my session and not to their update. Strange affair.
    Good luck,
    JLuc

  • Problems Updating Photoshop CS5 to ACR 6.4 on Mac OS X

I have version 6.0.0.205 of ACR on a Mac OS X 10.6.7 system with Photoshop CS5 10.0.4. I tried several ways to update to ACR 6.4, but no success yet. What I have tried is below:
    1) Using the update within Photoshop (Help -> Updates says applications are all updated).
    2) Using the Camera_Raw_6_4_1_updater.dmg updater. It says "Update is not applicable"
I have tried rebooting my Mac. I have tried restarting Photoshop. I tried reinstalling Photoshop. I tried unstalling other versions of Photoshop (mostly by dragging them out of the Applications folder).
    Any more suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Chris.
PS. I need the update to ACR for a new Nikon camera I have purchased. Its RAW images don't work with my version of ACR.

That's because there's no such file on a Mac.
".8bi" is an extension that denotes a Windows file, which would not belong in a Mac—ever.
On a Mac the correct Camera Raw plug-in is labeled "Camera Raw.plugin".
Tangentially, I recommend downloading and using the free Easy Find utility, which will find any file on your Mac, including many that are off-limits to the intrusive, useless Spotblight.

  • Having problems connecting to Photoshop after the update?

Photoshop CC 2014 changes the folder location for Reflow’s PS plugin. Please update to Photoshop CC 2014 before updating to Reflow Preview 8. If you’ve already updated Reflow, you can either reinstall Reflow after updating Photoshop OR run the standalone plugin installer for MAC or WIN 32 | 64.

    Thanks.

  • After the latest update to Photoshop 2014, something went wrong and started spray-like black oil on canvas. I have deadline with cover. Can you help me please?

How do I undo whatever went wrong after installing the latest update to Photoshop 2014 and suddenly when I tried to paint or touch up my illustration (book cover I'd drawn and painted, then scanned in and continued painting, changing. It's mostly done but I needed to send it like yesterday!!) OR touch up a photograph, black-like oily smudge-like substance sprayed around the point of the brush. I tried to fix by resetting but really didn't know what to do and probably made it worse. However, the problem happened after I updated the Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 on my desktop 8.1 Windows and after a Tech helped update the regular CC Photoshop on my laptop 2007, 64 bit Windows to 2014. He promised to call back after giving it time to install but didn't for whatever reason on Friday. That happened to go up to the same update I did on my Windows 8.1 Windows. I have this deadline and really stressed. COULD IT BE THE UPDATE OR BOTH. REGARDLESS, CAN SOME EXPERT HELP ME UNDO WHATEVER THE UPDATE AND/OR I DID? I'm a God-gifted artist but only started using Photoshop CC, then updated to 2014--which, again, I like even better--when I began my monthly membership January or February 2014, although I had paid version 2002 and updated to paid version 2004 (ownership, not paid subscription like now). I've learned so much, including transforming, moving, stretching, with layers--all in the painting area with my illustrations--a little touch ups with photography.  MY EMAIL IS: [email protected] I really appreciate any help. This needs to be resolved today, the latest tomorrow--I could call tomorrow, however. I was chatting with a Tech support but lost him about an hour or less back. I have the case number and name and gave him my contact number, but they won't be in until tomorrow. He's supposed to give info and escalate the case. I really need an answer--if possible, today. It may require going back to before installing the latest update. THANK YOU KINDLY. Glena Jessee-King
