Problem updating 5800 XM to firmware v30

I tried updating my 5800 XM to firmware 30 via OTA update. The update downloads and I accept the install. The phone then reboots showing a update in progress or something like that. It then reboots again and starts up with the following message:
"Phone not updated. Update oackage no compatible with the phone. Contact your service provider."
My current firmware version is v21.0.025.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same problem.
With Y-browser I found a log file with more specific details about the error,
it's in C:\logs\update\update_resp.txt
Error UPD_UPDATE_PACKAGE_IS_NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_CURRENT_MOBILE_DEVICE (0x5):
(Section 'SOS+ROFS2' hash is not identical required hash found from update package)
Potential causes: Incorrect fpsx were flashed into the phone or phone were updated already with given update package.

Well, I didn't flash my phone. Maybe my supplier did.

Problem updating HP Laserjet P1102w Firmware

In order to make airprint work with my macbook running OS 10.10, and with my iphone running iOS 8, I tried to update firmware from 20130703 to 20150114 released a few days ago.
First of all I have had a lot of troubles opening the app HP_Firmware_Upgrade_Utility, the only way to do it is via command line. Anyway I did it.
When installing the new firmware, the tool installs the older version of the firmware (20130703), the one my printer already runs.
Did I make something wrong or is there an issue with the new firmware release??

The Firmware Update utility on the HP site is incompatible with Yosemite, therefore it won't run.
It is supported on Mac OS X 10.4 up to 10.9 or any Windows OS (XP up to 8.1)
I suggest intalling the printer on another PC with a supported operating system for the firmware utility, be aware that the utility only support a USB connection and not a wireless connnection to the computer.
Regardless, AirPrint should work with the 20130703 firmware version, I would ratehr suspect other cause as lack of Multicast support by the router as example which is a common cause for AirPrint not to work.
Please clarify your router brand and model in order to better understand what may cause a such.

few days ago i saw that new firmware update available( v40.0.005) is available for nokia 5800
i have its v30 firmware version and i am unable get any kind of updates while i checked that new version of firmware is available in India. my product code is :0575590
i want change my firmware it has got frequent hanging problem....

Overall the phone is good with this firmware u can look around on these boards for the bugs people encountered with it so far. No hangs and crashes so far but i cant vouch for it.

Problems updating firmware on X6-00

Since 2010 I am the owner of a Nokia X6-00.
At first I didn’t have any problems with updating the system-software (firmware), but now I have a serious problem. How come?
Recently I had to give my X6-00 a hard reset (could not add a internet access anymore after a hardware repair). The firmware version on my device is now; V30.0.003 from 2010.
And now I cannot update to the latest version. According to your website for this mobile the latest version of the firmware, is version 40.0.002.
I have tried to update in 2 different ways;
-1. -
Directly through the device. By phone management -> Application Updates -> search for application updates.
Then I get the message that there are no updates available (and again, in 2011, before my hard reset, I have installed firmware updates severall times). So, this messsage cannot be wright.
-2. -
Via Nokia Suite, version 3.7.22.
My Nokia is connected to my PC via a USB-cable.
Then Nokia Suite indicates that the installed system software on my Nokia X6 version is V30.0.003 (from 10-28-2010).
If I choose to reinstall the system-software, then that process starts up. There are 4 steps within this proces (according to NokiaSuite, eg create backup, etc.).
However, at the final step-4, I get a message an error occured. I have made a screenshot of this, attached to this mail. This message says that my Nokia X-6-00 is nog connected in the right way to the PC.
But there are no problems with installing / updating mobile apps via Nokia Suite, so the connection cannot be the problem..
I would like to update to the latest version of the system firmware. What to do?

I agree, Nokia clearly say "Latest software release for Nokia X6-00 is 40.2.002" but they are not making this widely available for some reason.
My X6 is unlocked and not tied to any service provider and whenever I try to update the firmware the phone and associated software Nokia Ovi suite/Nokia PC Suite etc etc say V32 is the latest!
I am tempted to move away from Nokia if this is not resolved soon as I am looking to upgrade and was considering to buy an unlocked Lumia 920 but if Nokia ignore their users with older models then perhaps I should try an IPhone or Samsung next time as I hear their customer service is excellent!

Problem updating Nokia N97 firmware over the arir ...

OK here goes,
I'm having some real problems updating the firmware on my white nokia N97
I recently bought it of the web as a 12 month contract onto t-mobile (not there website though) in th uk
After noticing some problems i googled and noticed a firmware update had been released on 1st july 2009
I tried to get the firmwae over the air (OTA) via typing in *#0000# and selecting check for updates. I get no updates available for nokia and t-mobile (unsure what the difference is?)
So i heard try using nokia software updater.
i downloaded latest version 1.6.13 and installed it on a windows vista 32-bit home premium laptop ok
i have also installed all of the stuff that came with the cd with the phone (ovistore etc )
when i plug the phone into the laptop i get four options (PC, media, usb and something else) first time it ran it installed the necessary drivers and so therefore when i now plug it it just connects as expected.
so the laptop is detecting the nokia n97 at this stage
when i then load nokia software updater click next i put the phone into general mode on full charge with a sim card in it and click next again to detect the phone is pc suite mode
after about 2 minutes it says it can detect the phone although i can go to my computer and traverse the folder view!
i can even set it off looking for the phone pluggin it in and the autoplay options of vista will kick in in the background detecting the phone (ie outisde scope of nokia software updater)
i have tried all different connections mode pc suite mode etc different profiles nothing. tried it onto different pcs with different windows version on it. tried reinstalling software updater
my software version is 10.0.012 and my product code is 0587240
interestingly when i goto the can i update on nokias website it says no i have the latest version when i supply this information. weird
im kinda in catch 22 because there is a bug with pc usb detection of the phone in version 10 but i cant update to version 11 because of this bug
its driving me nuts any help greatly appreciated

It will break your facebook as you have re-formatted the C: drive of you phone. Was you facebook installed to the E: drive by any chance?
Go to OVI Store and re-install it.
It may be work installing it from OVI Store then un-installing that one to clean off the mess you have been left with post formatt and then re-installing it fresh from OVI Store.
As I always say. Before doing a re-format always uninstall all apps/widgests before doing a hard reset or factory reset.
I also do a this and a factory reset before firmware updates to clean my phone. Should really do a hard reset/format as this would be cleaner still, but tehn I would have to do a lot more set-up afterwards.

Do you have iTunes 10.6.3?
If not, update iTunes first then try again.

Intel Mini has problem with Mail/internet after firmware update (0.1)

Hello there.
I'm not sure, but I think my Intel Mini has gone bonkers after a firmware update (Mac mini-SMC-firmware-updater (1.0)
What happend is, that connecting to (both of) my two Gmail and Tiscali accounts is not working anymore. (no connection through gate 995)
I did not change anything in the accountsetup.
But now I notice that even my torrents (oops) can't connect anymore.
I think this all took place after the firmware update.
On Dutch sites I do not seem to get any useable answers, so I thought it be wise to go a bit more international.
Could anyone help me out on this one?

Having the same problem here. After updating the firmware the wireless connection to the network is unstable. After rebooting the laptop most of the time I get "Low or no connectivity" message. Sometimes it connects and dies after a few minutes. And sometimes it connects and stays connected until shut down.
What do you mean by "u have to reset it for 30 seconds and then reconfigure it"? Do you mean you actually have to reset the router to default settings and reconfigure, or just power down and bring it back up?

Firmware no update 5800

so i bought a new unlocked 5800 xm yesterday. i have tried everything to get this thing to update. i have indeed looked around here & in other forums & read about update issues if you have a branded phone, well this is not one of them. would i be having problems updating because of the sim or cellular service i am using?
i am in the US & i feel sure we may have not received the update yet.
i have not figured out the over the air update, but i have the nsu on my pc but it always registers that i have the current software, v21.
any thoughts? thanks guys

v21 is the current version in the US. Also, there is no OTA update process available in the US. You are currently up to date. Any new updates will appear using NSU.

Just received my new Mac Pro last week. What a big disappointment! Unable to update to most current firmware, tech support gave a rather vague answer that they'd let someone know to change the download. Anyone else have the same problem? Also ordered this computer with 8 GB RAM, unfortunately, Atto's Ultra 320 UL5D cards don't work with the Mac Pro with more than 2.5 GB RAM (and of course I ordered in 2GB configuration, so no way to run on just 2 GB, since it requires a matching bank). Internet speed is terrible to the point of being almost nonexistent! I'll take my G5 anytime! The Mac Pro is just sitting on my desk, waiting....

Are you using RAID by any chance? If you are then the firmware update will not work with it so you will need to boot from a non-RAID drive.

5800 XM v60 firmware availability in Philippines

I just want to ask when can i avail 5800 XM v60 firmware ? Im from Philippines currently im using 51.0.006 and i want to update in newer version beacause of the fast web browsing features and want to try to fix the bluetooth and radio malfunction .
In Bluetooth when im gonna turn on it say's " Unable to perform bluetooth operation "
In Radio when im gonna open it No Music No Frequency you can press the icons when im gonna exit it doesnt exit either it just hang up but not the phone this are the two problems that im trying to fix i already tried reformatting then restoring to factory setting and the problem still exist .

I wouldn't feel too marginalised, Mac users - I'm having exactly the same problems with Windows.
All software (i.e. both phone and Ovi Suite) are the latest versions, and the phone connects fine in any mode other than PC Suite - but since half the functionality relies on PC Suite, that's not a lot of good. I've sent two emails to Nokia (since December), and not a word of advice.

How do i update the thunderbolt bus firmware of my iMac?

I am a beginner at working with OSX so please understand that i need specific information if you ask me to do anything. I have a specific problem with setting up thunderbolt display. I wish to set up my second iMac as a secondairy screen using target display mode. The situation is the following:
I have two mid 2011 iMac models and a thunderbolt cable. One of these iMacs has thunderbolt bus firmware version 22.1 and the other has 25.1. Both machines are running OSX Mavericks, with all no extra updates available in the app store (all updates have been installed). When i connect them via the thunderbolt cable, the status in system information > hardware > thunderbolt remains on "port: status: no device found". pressing cmd + f2 logically does nothing as long as the iMac does not recognize the other iMac.
When i connect the iMac with the 25.1 firmware version, to another iMac from a colleague, which also has firmware version 25.1 via the same thunderbolt cable, i could use it as a second screen.
From what i know there are two options now:
- my second imac has a broken thunderbolt port
- my second imac needs a firmware update to version 25.1
I have, however, no idea how to verify either of these things. Googling on how to update the thunderbolt bus firmware does not give any good results and the app store offers no thunderbolt firmware upgrades anymore (thunderblt firmware update 1.2 is already installed). hence i am trying to solve this via the community now.
Do any of you have any ideas on how to procede? i prefer to fix this issue without taking it to a service center.

Having problems updating my Airport Utility

Right now I am running version 5.5.1. Every time I use it It asks if I want to upgrade to 5.5.2. When I say yes it updates some Mac pro firmware and not my airport utility.
It does not upgrade the utility and if I try again it just upgrades the firmware all over again??

Although I am a Mac user, I do see that sort of panel from time to time, but not usually with the iPod software. With networks there are three parts (simply speaking): our end, Apple's end and the ISP (and what is in between).
If that downloads all (or almost all) there is the last check back to confirm size/data are OK. It sounds as if that is failing. It may of course be Apple's problem as thousands of others worldwide may be trying to download the file at the same time. For me, this one came down in one go and was installed with no problem: indeed, the changes are working really well.
I have found (again, I emphasise I am a Mac user) that most of my problems like that are with my ISP, and there are some, but fewer, from Apple's end. My usual method, after three or four frustrating goes like this, is first to restart the router (which will give me a different IP number) and then, if that fails, to go to bed and try the next day, which usually works as the ISP has woken up.

Software Problem with 5800

I am using 5800 with the software version V 30.0.011. My set gets hanged when during an incoming call or an incoming message. the ringtone stays stuck so is the vibration... I cant stop it by any ways .. The only way is removing my battery.Cant even switch it off.
Is this a usual problem with 5800??

No it is not. Is the phone new? Also your software may be updated. The latest version if v40.
Also please check if the problem still occurs if the memory card is not inserted.
