Problems Updating CS6 products on a Mac running 10.8.2

Is anyone else having problems updating their Adobe CS6 suite. When I go to Update, the Adobe Application Manager loads, goes through the process of downloading the Updates, takes ages (as they are large files) and then right at the end gives me an error message saying how the updates have failed.

I posted my original AE log in a thread I started, which remains unanswered, unless it has been in the last couple of hours.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled not only AE but my entire set of CS6 apps. I have run the 'cleaner' app, and with various cycles of uninstall, reinstall, update attempt, also used the downloadable installers for both the main AE 11.0.0 package and the downloaded update package for 11.0.2.
All fail.
The 'log analyzer' which is referred to in the 'error' logs, found in /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers as directed by the dialog from the App Manager, finds 'no error/problem'.
The packages that correctly install 'updates' are at the moment only Premiere Pro 6.0.0 to 6.0.2, and Audition 5.0.0 to 5.0.2.
Currently I just tried updating Speed Grade.. and after that log, is yesterday's failed AE update log.

Problem updating cs6 "application manager is already running..." ?

Hi everybody
When im trying to update CS6 the application manager app don doit and give this message: "adobe application manager is already running, please close other instances before applying updates."
There is not other instances of the application manager running? how could this error be fixed?

Yes, of course, I have checked and there is only one instance of the Adobe Application Manager.
The 2 updates are:
Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud
Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.2 Update
This problem originally started before Christmas with the Photoshop update. When the Bridge update became available this month, it also had the same issue.
Up until the Photoshop update problem, other updates worked fine.

Is there a central location to go to update CS6 Creative Cloud applications?

All updates are handled through the application manager and if that is not centralized enough, then I'm not sure what you are asking.

Problems updating CS6 software: Premiere

Hi, I have a problem that can best be described by a screenshot:
I tried updating a second time and got the same error but only for Premiere since the other app was successfully updated. What I am not showing you is another portion of the screenshot which includes that during the installation there was an intrusion attempt by malicious attack. I'm not sure if this was part of the Adobe update or not but it happened both times that I tried this update.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What malicious attack? Port scans are annoying, but not malicious and in fact you may have prevented the installer from verifying package integrity. Provide the error log as the screen states and we'll see what can be done to remedy it...

Problems updating cs6

When I try to update I keep getting the mesage "Updates could not be applied, you are already running the adobe application manager. Please close all instances of adobe application manager before applying updates. I have checked and it is not running but I still keep getting the message. Hopefully someone can help with this

Which OS are you using - Windows or Mac?
If on Windows - Please check the Task manager > Processes for any instances of AAM and 'End the Process'.
If on Mac - Please check the 'Activity Monitor' for related process and end it.
You may also want to reboot the machine and retry the update.

Problem updating Photoshop CS6

Having a problem updating Photoshop CS6, the error message U44M1P7 appears. The other Adobe applications have had no problem updating, only Photoshop CS6. Help please.

Problem updating windows retail version cs6 13.0.1.3. Error code U44M2P7

I am having problems updating (using Windows 7) retail version of PS Cs6 13.0.1.3. It will not allow update directly through Photoshop. After downloading from Adobe site directly, the Error code U44M2P7 comes up. Trying to get help but Adobe making it very difficult.

What is causing problem updating Photoshop CS6 13.0 x64 Extended to version 13.0.5 (Error Code U44M2P7) on Mac running OS X 10.8,4? What is the solution?

I have same setup as you.
USE THIS PROCEDURE:
FIRST BE CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL, PRE CLOUD, INSTALL DMG OR CD in case something goes badly.
THEN, DEACTIVATE YOUR RUNNING COPY OF PS6.
UNINSTALL THAT VERSION.
LOG ON TO CREATIVE CLOUD AND CLICK ON "APPS" DOWNLOAD PHOTOSHOP.
ONCE INSTALLED, OPEN IT AND GO TO HELP>update.WHEN THIS IS DONE YOU WILL HAVE VERSION 13.1.2

Hi All,
I'm having a problem updating my files.
I am a Creative Cloud member. I have all the below applications installed on both PC and Mac. I was using the PC exclusively and lately I've been using the Mac exclusively.
I am trying to update my Mac today and this is what my log says.

This is a great option, but I don't have, and NEVER have had Adobe CS5 on this computer. How would I get the Uninstaller to do such a random fix?
This is a little ridiculous. The day I get billed I can't update one piece of software. Help Adobe, fix this without some random workaround that some people can not do.

"...Rasterized type layers..." problem in CS6 extended

I was running CS6 64bit - perpetual licence version - happily. No problems. Then I joined the Adobe subscription service, deactivated and uninstalled CS6. Then I downloaded and installed the CC version of CS6 and updated it. Now when I open any document, or create a new one, I get the following error messager -
"Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended - Some of the the [sic] type layers in this document were rasterized because an error prevented them from being read".
I can just click "OK" on the message box and all then seems alright. But every time I open an image file - no matter what file format - I get the error message.
Grateful for any ideas. I'll be elevated to Photoshop CC next week but I'd like to get rid of the current CS6 problem before then.
Incidentally, I only managed to update CS6 Extended by uininstalling the old version and installing a fresh online version and then immediately updating using the Application Manager.

Just discovered that when I try to add text to an image I get the following error message -
"Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended -Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialised"
? Presumably the problems are linked.

Thank you Curt. I was unclear in my first message. I just installed the subscription version over my existing CS6 version. I only uninstalled the downloaded subscription version of CS6 because I was unable to update it (using either the Application Manager or from inside CS6). The update installed ok up to an error message -
"Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.2 - Installation failed. Error code U44M1P7". Uninstalling CS6 and then reinstalling a downloaded version fresh allowed the update to take place.
As for the problem I was posting about - the text related error messages - I have found the answer I think. The problem is the contents of theTypeSupport folder at username/Appdata/Local/Adobe/ TypeSupport. When I deleted this folder all was fine again - no error messages and text tool working preoperly. When I rebooted the computer after deleting the folder it was recreated with one file missing - which I take to be the culprit. The file was - "AdoneFnt_CommonFonts.lst".
I'll see how things are after CC arrives next week.

There is a big difference between closed and Quit. Closed means mostly no visible window, yet the application itself runs at the background.
If you are on a Mac check the open applications (cmd + Tab lets you cycle through the open applications) or open the activity monitor (in the Disk utility folder in Applications)
If you are on Windows maybe Curt and Yammer P will have better advise for you

Error updating CS6 design and web premium

When I try to update CS6 design&web premium, I get the following error:
"Adobe Application Manager
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207"
I did quit and try several times with the same result.

Updating CS6 to 13.0.5

I'm running into difficulty updating CS6 to 13.0.5. To keep my SSD clean, I remove all the language support from all software except for languages I'm apt to use, even occasionally. I tried to update my CS6 to 13.0.5 and the update failed because I don't have all the language support installed. Is there any way to force the update without having to reinstall the original CS6 and update it and then remove all the language files. This presents an annoying prospect, but if it is the only way to do so then, of course, I will do it.
Along those lines, there is a related issue. When I use the Adobe updater with my existing copy of CS6, I'm told it doesn't need an update. I'm wondering whether the crucial files were updated to 13.0.5 and only the language files weren't. I can't find a version number for CS6 in any of the usual places so I cannot determine what version I'm really running now.
Thoughts, help?

Yes, I am. I have two legal copies and neither one will update but both indicate I don't need the update, which is the puzzle here. They both lack all the language support files and the errors I get suggest the problem is the absence of the language files, but the update manager indicates I don't need the update. I may have to reinstall the entire set of software, update it (if possible), and then remove the language files. They take up about 4 GB of unnecessary storage on a small SSD.
