Problem updating rendered titles

I have found some spelling errors in a long "Centered Multiple" clip in my iMovie project. For some reason, the text from the rendered clip will not load into the text editing window, and the update button is grayed out. Even after selecting the clip and typing all the new text, the update button will not work. I can get results on some of the other shorter title clips - sometimes it works, and sometimes not. Any ideas? Thanks!

I just played with titles anf found by using 'Revert clip to orig.' removes the title, then if you select that clip again and repeat 'Revert clip to orig.' it brings back all the media in the orginal clip. Did you notice this? Have you tiried copying the clip and pasting and attacking that to rid your title
You might also check a previous posting yesterday entitles
Titles corrupting
just a thought, do you have your audio locked on that clip? maybe that is hanging it up. Analyse what is working when you do the other clips sucessfully. Logic WILL prevail Hopefully some expert will read your post

Hi,
I have a movie where I did add a few titles here and there. I need to update some of those titles, but sometimes I got a problem...
The problem I see is that instead of updating the clip that have the title, when I click the update button the clip is "flushed" and the title gets added to the next clip in the timeline.
I cannot remember seeing iMovie 5 doing such things...
Any idea on how to resolved that?

It's hard to predict sometimes what clips will be added or removed — combined, actually — when adding a title. Remember that if the title you add is longer than the clip where it starts, iMovie will join one or more ADDITIONAL clips to create the title. (A twelve-second title may gather four three-second clips together into one title clip.)
When updating a title, it may get even more complicated as iMovie undoes the old title clips, then adds the new title. If the new title is longer or shorter than the original title, lots of interesting things could occur.
The crucial test isn't whether new/old clips are created/removed. Rather, it's whether the title you want is actually created as configured.
To see how iMovie applies its own title-making rules, try adding a long title to a short clip. Note how it joins it with the clips that follow it. Then undo that to see how iMovie puts it all back together again.
I cannot remember seeing iMovie 5 doing such things...
iMovie 6 changed WHERE titles can be added to a clip, which sometimes makes it behave quite differently than iMovie 5. iMovie 6 lets us add a title to the MIDDLE of a clip.
To do that in iMovie 5 — which added a title only at the start of a clip — we were required to first split the clip, then add the title at the split. iMovie 6 is smarter. If the playhead is in the middle of the clip it splits the clip for us before adding the title. Essentially iMovie 6 automatically adds a split we added manually in the past. When creating the title a new clip (containing no title) is added to the timeline BEFORE the title begins.
Try making a few titles in the middle of clips to see how it works.

Problem updating subtitles in photos

Sometimes when I update a title to a 4 sec photo, it deletes the photo and adds the title to the following photo. Photos are imported at 5 sec (Ken Burns effect off) and then add 4 sec title which results in 1 sec of photo without title. No transition between photos. This problem usually occurs after I've added titles to lots of photos. Currently I have an iMovie with 288 photos and problem started after I'd added titles to about half the photos. I can move the photo over 2 photos on the timeline, do the title update and it works as it should, then move the photo back to origional position. iMovie then appears OK, but I'm having the old multiplexing error when trying to create the .img file in iDVD and wondering if this could be contributing to the problem. What if I deleted the iMovie .plist like we do in iDVD? I also wonder if I'm memory limited with 768M memory. I have over 40GB free disk space so that shouldn't be the problem. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks Beverly for responding. I tired deleting iMovie .plist but got the same results (multiplexing errors) as far as creating the iDVD .img file. However I changed iDVD Pref from Best Quality, which I've always used, to Best Performance and it created the iDVD .img file OK. I've now started adding titles to the rest of the photos to see if I continue to have the UPDATE problem. Will know more tomorrow. Thanks.
P.S. I've done many long movies, most of the time without problems, but most were imported video, with limited photos. Seems I've always had one problem or another with mostly photos in iMovie, but until now have always been able to get through it.

Problem updating NBA.tv

As the title says I have a problem updating my NBA.tv app. I have two apple ID, one for the US and the other for the Dominican Republic. When I tried to update the app, as Im signed as the international ID, the app store ask me to put the other password for the US ID. it's like the app store can't remember that I switched account. Any suggestions?

My ATV doesn't does (I didn't see it under the HDMI) have MicroUSB port, only Ethernet, power connector and HDMI. The icon on the screen is asking us clearly (at least my icon) to connect the ATV from the HDMI port to itunes. Thus, I need an HDMI to USB cable, which I don't have.

AV sync problems when rendering Quicktime in PE 8

I have a simple problem when rendering to Quicktime format fromPremere Elements 8: The AV sync goes out of whack.
I have tried rendering:
(a). To MPEG - output is fine.
(b). To WMV - output is fine.
(c). MOV - av sync errors
I am assembling about five clips. The first clip plays fine. The AV sync problems starts at the second clip - the audio is a good 3 seconds or so ahead of the video.
Everything is fine in the editing window.
I am running in Windows 7. To make sure it is not the player, I have played the quicktime output in Windows Media and itunes and the same problem is in both.
Has anyone seen this issue?

Sorry for the confusion. It a sensible suggestion to identify the input formats and output formats and I would most appreciate your inputs to this issue because I admit that I am really struggling here to get a workflow going.
Input formats:
1. MJPEG 1280x720P at 24 frames per second (from a Panasonic Lumix Camera)
2. WMV 1280x720P at 24 frames per second from output of other programs (which only support wmv output at High def output)
3. MPEG2 1280x720P at 24 frames per second (and sometimes 25 frames per second) from other sources
Target output formats are:
1. Blu-Ray
2. MP4 container format @ 1280x720P for playing on my Apple TV
3. DVD (ordinary plain PAL DVD at 720x576P at 25 frames per second)
My goal is have Pre Elements 8 Project settings in High Def and then to simply target all three outputs from one project so that I do not have to redo all of the projects with different project settings.
Workflow is in two stages:
Step 1 is to create one project for each Chapter and save to disk: The inputs are from all three input formats that I identified above (High Def - MJPEG, WMV, and MPEG2). I would like to edit, mix the audio, and then save each chapter to disk. The format in which I save this is preferably some kind of high def format that can be edited easily at a later time.
Step 2 is to create the Project that is used to assemble each chapter for final output: This is the project where I put in Chapter marks, create menus, etc. The target outputs from this chapter are Blu Ray (high def), AppleTV (high def), and PAL DVD (Standard def).
In all cases, I set up my Project Settings as HDV-AVI for internal rendering because all inputs are high def and most target outputs are high def.
Issues that I am dealing with:
1. I cannot figure out the best export format to go from Step 1 to Step 2. HDV-AVI doesn't seem to be available as an export format. Basically, I am looking for an export format that puts the least strain on resources when they are read in for Step 2 and retains the highest quality.
2. Most of my inputs are 24 frames per second but the internal rendering for Pre Elements 8 seems to be 25 frames per second. Frame rate conversion can be quite tricky and can put significant strain on resources, but it is not clear if this is straining Pre Elements 8 or not. It does seem to be. I am happy to convert my files into a format that puts the least strain on Pre Elements 8 internal rendering and yet produces the best output.
Note: If you ask - why do I do this in two steps? It is because I am always putting a strain on system resources when operating in high def. Unless I am careful, I get a message that Pre Element is "low on resources" followed by a crash shortly thereafter. I have Win7 32 bit, 4 GB RAM, no other programs running, all drivers updated with the most recent version (yes - even the NVIDIA driver) so there really isn't anything else that I can do in this area.
So I am looking for suggestions in the following areas:
1. An alternative workflow that produces the three high def outputs with the three high def inputs defined above that doesn't cause Pre Elements to continually go low on resources and crash.
OR
2. A recommendation for a high def format that puts minimal strain on Pre Element resources?

Here's the crux of my frustration:
(1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
(2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.

Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
(1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account

(2) Click on the MENU icon
(3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC

(4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,

(5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
(5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
(a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
(b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
(c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO: I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS: Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.

This error message will appear erraneously, if you skipped the update to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5.1 and went straight from an earlier MacOS X version to Yosemite, without first updating to iPhoto 9.5.1 and associating iPhoto to your AppleID.
Try first to buy iPhoto with your AppleID instead of updating. Delete iPhoto from Applications, but don't empty the Trash, then go to the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto. If you are lucky, it will show as free and you can buy it directly.
If iPhoto is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support: Ask for a redemption code. You will need to provide a prove of purchase for your mac with iPhoto preinstalled.

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager?

BRFplus: Problem updating values in an internal table in a loop expression

I'm looking into the loop expression type of BRFplus and I have come across a problem updating an internal table, I'm trying to create and populate the table using a loop, here is the functionality I'm trying to achieve:
In a rule set create an internal MONTH_TBL table containing 12 rows of two columns: MONTH_NUM containing values 1 through 12 and MONTH_VAL containing an amount (initially 0,00 EUR in all 12 rows).
After initializing the table traverse through SFLIGHT table and for each row add PRICE from the table to MONTH_VAL in the row of MONTH_TBL corresponding to the month of FLDATE field in SFLIGHT.
The initialization of MONTH_TBL works as intended, as does the traversal of and retrieval of values from SFLIGHT. The problem however is the update of the internal table MONTH_TBL (defined as result data object for the function). I don't get an error, but the tables does not get updated, and I cannot seem to find out what the problem is. I would have attached an XML extract of the function + ruleset for information, but it dosen't seem like that is possible, I could e-mail it on request (for SAP employees with access to system QU5 the function is LOOP_TEST in application Z_KLAUS_TEST).
I hope that this is sufficient information to understand the issue that I'm dealing with.

The Loop expression is part of NW 7.02 which is not yet released. When you experience the problem as part of a test you should have a contact at SAP for dealing with problems/errors. Usually SAP-internal messages are used for this purpose. Please clarify with your SAP contact how the model is.

Updating a title column in list that is a lookup column to document library in sharepoint designer workflow 2010

Hi I have a requirement to create a list item in Contracts List when a document is uploaded in Contracts Vendor library.
Contracts List will
have columns - Contract Name ( title column), Contract Number, Contract Start date and end date.
Contracts Vendor library will have Contract
Name,Contract NUmber.
User will select the Contract Name from drop down ( this is look up column linked to Contract Name in Contract
List).When user uploads document in Contract Vendor library then item should be created in Contract List with selected Contract Name and
Contract number .
Contracts and Contracts Vendor are related by look up Contract Name. Contract Name is internally a title column in
Contracts List.
Issue1 :
Since Contract number is look up column, while I am creating item the Contract name is not getting updated in
Contracts List. I have to use sharepoint designer workflow to achieve this task. Title colum or Contract Name shows no title.
Issue 2:

more issue I am facing is that Contracts List has Section and Division cascaded drop downs when i select values from section and division
dropdowns and save item in Contracts list the values are getting saved in Contract List.
Could anyone suggest me how to handle this ? I am

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to update a title column in list that is a lookup column to document library in sharepoint designer workflow 2010.
I try to reproduce the issues as follows:
Create a custom list named Contracts List, add columns: Contract Name ( title column), Contract Number(Number), Contract Start date(Data and Time) and Contract End date (Data and Time).
Create a document library named Contracts Vendor library, add columns: Contract Name(Lookup), Contract NUmber(Lookup).
Create a workflow associated to the Contracts Vendor library.
Add action: Create List Item.
   5. Start the workflow automatically when an item is created.
   6. Upload a document, select the Contract Name and Contract NUmber, the workflow will be started automatically.
   7. Open the Contracts List, an item will be added with the Contract Name and Contract Number in the Contracts Vendor library.

Problems updating ipod touch 3g to os 5

Hi... I am very excited to see what all the buzz is about for the new OS 5.x for use on my ipod touch 3g but im having problems updating my device. my itunes has been updated to 10.5 and i have conected my touch to my computer and clicked on update. but all that comes back is that it is updated to the newest version which it states 4.2.1 .... but i dont see any of the new stuff that is supposed to be with os 5 i have erased and put my touch back to default settings and it still does the same thing. i erased using itunes when connected by the cord and i have tried using the reset feature on the touch itself w/o the cable. if anyone has some advice for me it would be greatly appreciated !!

OK here goes,
I'm having some real problems updating the firmware on my white nokia N97
I recently bought it of the web as a 12 month contract onto t-mobile (not there website though) in th uk
After noticing some problems i googled and noticed a firmware update had been released on 1st july 2009
I tried to get the firmwae over the air (OTA) via typing in *#0000# and selecting check for updates. I get no updates available for nokia and t-mobile (unsure what the difference is?)
So i heard try using nokia software updater.
i downloaded latest version 1.6.13 and installed it on a windows vista 32-bit home premium laptop ok
i have also installed all of the stuff that came with the cd with the phone (ovistore etc )
when i plug the phone into the laptop i get four options (PC, media, usb and something else) first time it ran it installed the necessary drivers and so therefore when i now plug it it just connects as expected.
so the laptop is detecting the nokia n97 at this stage
when i then load nokia software updater click next i put the phone into general mode on full charge with a sim card in it and click next again to detect the phone is pc suite mode
after about 2 minutes it says it can detect the phone although i can go to my computer and traverse the folder view!
i can even set it off looking for the phone pluggin it in and the autoplay options of vista will kick in in the background detecting the phone (ie outisde scope of nokia software updater)
i have tried all different connections mode pc suite mode etc different profiles nothing. tried it onto different pcs with different windows version on it. tried reinstalling software updater
my software version is 10.0.012 and my product code is 0587240
interestingly when i goto the can i update on nokias website it says no i have the latest version when i supply this information. weird
im kinda in catch 22 because there is a bug with pc usb detection of the phone in version 10 but i cant update to version 11 because of this bug
its driving me nuts any help greatly appreciated

It will break your facebook as you have re-formatted the C: drive of you phone. Was you facebook installed to the E: drive by any chance?
Go to OVI Store and re-install it.
It may be work installing it from OVI Store then un-installing that one to clean off the mess you have been left with post formatt and then re-installing it fresh from OVI Store.
As I always say. Before doing a re-format always uninstall all apps/widgests before doing a hard reset or factory reset.
I also do a this and a factory reset before firmware updates to clean my phone. Should really do a hard reset/format as this would be cleaner still, but tehn I would have to do a lot more set-up afterwards.

iTunes 12 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
iTunes 12 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
(Assuming that the QuickTime and Safari messages were also citing bonjour64.msi, you should also then be good to go with those installs too.)
