Problem upgrading sw and at restart message "panic"
I was upgrading sw at version 10.8.5 and after The restart (or better during that) it says there was a problem with an other app upgrade and need to stop and restart. Then I click next and then blank screen with Apple and a list of command starting with panic (cpu 0 caller etc....)
Etc...
I had a screenshot. I was crying since one hour please help me
If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions. Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is on a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. If you're able to boot, launch the Console application in any of the following ways: ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.) ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid. Select the most recent panic log under the heading System Diagnostic Reports on the left. If you don't see that heading, select View ▹ Show Log List from the menu bar. Post the entire contents of the panic report — the text, please, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header and body of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don't post shutdownStall, spin, or hang reports.

Beach ball and occasional restart message (kernel panic warning)
Hello,
I'm getting ready to start an editing project on FCP using my G5. I'm running into general use problems in that everything I do seems to initiate the beach ball. I now have two FW drives hooked up with my video for the project which seems to making everything even slower. Today I came back into the room with a restart the computer sign. It was the kind that is issued when you have a kernel panic. I know this because I lost the hard drive to my G4 a few years back due to a kernel panic. This has happened on the G5 a couple of times and luckily I have been able to restart and get everything going again. Everything is still slow going and now running FCP is very. The computer takes too long to respond to even basic editing commands such as scrubbing through in the browser. I'm thinking it might be a RAM issue. I'm currently at 1.5 GB DDR and know that optimally I want 2. Before I go purchase more RAM I just want to be sure I've taken care of additional details that could make my system run faster and more efficiently without the constant beach ball and restart messages.Hi Steve,
Here is the complete panic log. I thought this might be easier to give you the whole thing rather than cherry pick.

Problem in sending and viewing of messages in Noki...
I have some wierd and odd kind of problem on my 500 Belle.
My phone is not showing the conversations properly in the Messaging. It is showing the sent messages(from any contact) and the received messages(from same person) separately in the Conversations. that is I am seeing two icons of the same name in the conversations view. Also the one which contains the sent messages is showing the photo of the contact in the icon, while the one containing only received messages is not showing the contact photo(and is showing the default contact logo).
Moreover, when I receive a message from anyone, then after typing my reply in the text box present at the bottom of the conversation, when I press the send/reply button, it shows "Opening..."--->"Invalid contact details: <contact name> <contact name>", And then shows the message that I had written in the text box, as a new message. Then I had to add the contact in the 'To ' box to whom I wanted to reply.
But I am able to reply to the contact if I do so by opening the message icon containing only sent messages to that contact.
I am facing this problem from around a week.
HELP!Hi, I am from Manila.. I can relate with your story.. i've been using my Nokia 500 Belle more than a year.before i don't have a problem with my phone.but now, it's annoying..
it's so annoying when you reply to the person which is from your contact and you experience that kind of problem..you have to put again the contact person instead of reply to their message..
I'm thinking before, maybe the network has a problem..but since i read this thread..I think the network is not the problem..it's the handset itself..
PAGING NOKIA HELP CENTER .. PLEASE REPLY WITH THIS THREAD.. please show us the solution.. how to troubleshoot with our problem.. -
I have a iPhone 4 and I had problems sending texts and making calls so I got a new one. I then gave my boyfriend my old iphone snd told him if he could get it to work he could have it. For some reason we are having problems getting it to activate. it wont let us make calles to verizon or anything on it. I do still have a warranty on the phone so would I be able to send it in and get a new one? or how does that work?
Take the device to Apple for evaluation.

Startup screen freezes with vertical lines and a restart message
So this problem just started a couple of days ago it seems to be getting worse. Occasionally it will start-up but not often and at the moment it won't, I just keep getting this screen on start-up: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42697060@N04/3933706005/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/42697060@N04/3934486754/
Not sure if this is the same problem people are having with the video card or not. Thanks for the help!I'm getting the same look, with all kinds of squares and lines on screen, although mine starts while the computer is running with color reversals and lines on the working space. Then I get a freeze and have to do a hard re-start with the power button, and finally, what you're seeing. I did notice that when I unplugged the power adaptor, the problem has gone away, at least for the past 30 minutes or so.
I originally thought it was overheating, since if I shut it down and left it, it would re-start normally after 15 minutes, but crash again in 10 minutes of running. Then I came here, and read about the video card. That could be, but why only when plugged into the power adaptor? The power adaptor has been acting up lately, in that the light is sometimes off, sometimes amber when screen shows 100%, like that.
I'll plug back and in and see what happens, and put it here. 4:53 PM Saturday.
I'll keep fooling around with it, and report back here. I'll also make an appointment for next week with the nearest Apple store - 1.5 hour drive. Grrrr. I'm home with the flu this weekend. I'm tempted to go now and shake everyone's hand. -
Upgraded and now get Kernel Panic
Upgraded tonight and immediately got Kernel Panic's and now cannot boot from disk or in safe mode. Please please help. This is why I didn't want to upgrade.
I've been running SL for over a year on my 24" iMac. SL isn't the issue; most likely, bad RAM.

Yesterday I upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1. My system is Win7 64-bit. The program asked me to restart to complete upgrade; however, even after restart I continue to get the same message. I attempted to "uninstall" via Windows Control Panel and even within the Mozilla Firefox program file. Again, the only message I get is to "restart to allow upgrade to complete.
Thanks for your reply. I found that article while troubleshooting; however, those files do not exist. In other words, when I search for %APPDATA%, it takes me to a "roaming" folder, but there is no file named qpidata...
So, I am in a circular issue where I am prompted to restart windows to "finish upgrade" but even after restart, I continue to get the same "restart windows to finish..." message.
Anything else I should try? -
I have an iMac that I upgraded from Tiger to Lepoard. I found a brand new power pc g4 1gig never unpacked and tried to use my Lepoard disk to upgrade the os but I get a restart message but when I power down it stays off and when I power up I get the restart message. If I can't upgrade to Lepoard how do I get the computer to eject my Lepoard disk and go back to the os that was on it? Thank you anyone who can advise.
PeaceWhen you power up the computer hold down the click bar on the track pad (or the left click on a mouse) and the computer will eject the disk.

I just upgraded to iPhoto 11 and got this message:
"There is a problem accessing one or more files in your iPhoto library. Do you want iPhoto to repair permissions for this library for you?"
I am afraid to click "Repair" b/c I don't want to loose photos. What choice have you?
Back up. Then click repair. -
After upgrading to Snow Leopard, I get "you need to restart" messages!
After upgrading, I've gotten the "you need to restart" messages, forcing me to push down on the Power button once in a while. Sometimes I can use the computer for a whole day without getting it, but sometimes I get it 4-6 times a day. This is usually when I am using Firefox (with multiple saved tabs). I've updated the two plug-ins I have in Firefox, and I've downloaded all the software updates. Here is the error report. Can anyone please help? Thank you!

I installed the 829mb Apple software update on my 2011 Macbook Pro. Upon restart, it crashed. It instructed me to hold power button to shut off and then press again to restart. Same error message keeps coming up and computer won't boot to home screen.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
ROBBBoot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the Mac OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac didn’t ship with Lion, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
Don't install the Thunderbolt update -- it's defective. -
G4 AGP upgraded and now freezing and needs restart???? HELP
hey guys, so i recently bought a powermac g4 agp "sawtooth" and upgraded it. i put in a 128gig seagate hdd, a 1ghz sonnet encore gt processor, 1 gig ram (2x128 and 2x256), and then filled the pci slots with a radeon 9200 128mb graphics card, a 4 port usb 2.0 card, and a wireless pci card because the g4 could only take the old airport and i wanted 54mbps, finally a pioneer dvd burner to replace the old dvd ram cd rom drive... sooo all these things worked as they were supposed to when i added them, but now with them all in the computer has been freezing and telling me i need to reset it with the little error window, i thought it was leopard so i downgraded back to tiger and same restart problem is occuring.. wondering if its the power supply cannot support all the peripherals? no idea though.. any suggestions???
also a problem ive had ever since i got the machine up and running when i replaced the motherboard... not every time the computer goes to sleep but sometimes it wont wake up from sleep... it sounds like the computer is waking up but there is no image sent to the monitor... any idea whats goin on here??First try a PMU reset. See Mac PRAM, NVRAM, CUDA/PMU & Battery Tutorial
Is the error window you are getting in multiple languages? If so, you are getting a kernal panic. KPs are generally caused by hardware, frequently RAM & sometimes by USB devices. To start troubleshooting remove the wireless card & USB card & disconnect all external devices except your mouse, kbd & monitor. Post back with the results. Basically, you have made too many changes at one time & it's dificult to know the cause.
May be a solution on one of these links.
