Problem using a new sim card!

Hi!
Hope someone can help me with this! I have curve 9360, bought it in England and have used it there on an english simcard. But I'm home in Norway for Christmas and can't get it to work with my norwegian simcard.. When I put the norwegian one in the phone and it asks me to log in with my blackberry id, it doesn't work.. Says: username and password provided do not correspond to a valid BlackBerry ID.
But I'm able to log in with that bb id on my computer, so it obviously works. If I try the "forgotten your password" and says: your request cannot be completed. Please ensure that your BlackBerry ID has been activated and that you have typed the correct email address.
Does anyone know what might be happening?

Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.

My N96 is not accepting my new SIM Card

To whom it may concern,
I bought my N96 branded from Vodafone UK around 1 year ago and when I tried it the first time I used it on an other network and it worked flawlessly.
I did two upgrades with the WLAN with no issues and meanwhile I changed to Vodafone Malta and it still worked fine.
Last week I did another upgrade with WLAN and with this upgrade the N96 changed to a much better user interface mode & I was very happy with this upgrade.
Around two days ago I decided to revert to the Network I first used to work with but as soon as I inserted the new Sim Card, all the benefits of the latest upgrade disappeared and in the middle of the screen in small black text there is written "Non Vodafone Sim Card"
I can still do calls and receive calls and other things like before but all the new functions that were included in the last upgrade are not functioning! Just to mention one, the center multifunction button does not have any shortcuts!
I reinserted the Vodafone card back in the phone and the phone came back to work with full functions. When I use the new SIM CARD these functions disappear!
I don't know why this is happening because when I first used my N96, I used it on this same network with no issues!
Can someone help me with this issue?

I changed my Standby theme and the issue is now solved!!!
I used another standby theme and it works fine.
The only thing I miss are the special shortcut features that comes with the Vodafone standby theme! I wish I can download a similar standby theme! Does someone knows from were to download good standby themes for my N96?

You cannot. The iPhone is locked to Softbank, and only they can unlock it. Problem is that Softbank will NOT unlock the phone, as they do not offer iPhone unlocking.
Buy an iPhone in the Phillipines.
PS Before you go on a rant at Apple, be aware that Apple does NOT unlock phones and they do not set unlocking policies. The carriers (Softbank in this case) set the unlocking policy.

You might want to ask you carrier that question. I can tell you that when I gave my old iPhone 4 to my wife we were able to get my old sim card that was in the 4 reprogrammed with the wife's phone number. The AT&T store didn't charge us to do this.

Same exact phone. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone without harming anything? I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.
Ralph - F.Y.I. I would be happy to back up the iPhone if I could turn it on LOL......I am pretty positive I did, but what about Text messages? ANY of those saved too or not? Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. No. Vodaphone Egypt and Vodaphone Qatar are two different carriers. They have the same parent company, but you can not use a phone locked to Vodafone Egypt with a Vodafone Qatar SIM.

Nothing you can do. The iPhone doesn't store contacts on the SIM card. Had you been using the iPhone as strongly recommended, you would have been synching your contacts with Outlook or Address Book on your computer, where they would now still be safe and sound and ready for you to synch with your new phone.
Using a phone as your sole source of data is foolish. Phones can be easily lost, stolen, dropped and damaged, or in your case, die. That's why the strong recommendation to synch your data with a computer (and of course, backup that computer as well).
I'm afraid your contacts are gone. Such a shame, and was entirely preventable. Sorry for your loss.

The device is locked to Verizon wireless not a Russian cell provider.
You can use Verizon here in the states. Get a Verizon Sim.
In out of the country use, pop in that Sim and it should work. However Verizon does not unlock for use in the USA.
And you must be a Verizon customer to get it unlocked to use in other countries. Apple claims it will work in other countries.

IPhone works great , Just have a new sim card installed

I read a lots of comments about the Iphone 4S . I had all the problems where it did work for a few minutes and tried everything . Main thing is you need a new sim card 128mb not the 64 . Do not use your old Sim card that you have on the Iphone 4 , Looks like it wares and does problems. I helped many friends where I am now at the Red Sea in our resort in Egypt and thye had many problems but one main thing was the Sim Card.
Other than this no problems at all.

No carrier "automatically" unlocks at end of contract - many won't do it at all, even if requested. I don't know what your carrier's policy is since you didn't say what country you're in.
However, if I understand you correctly, you didn't change carriers so it doesn't matter if it was unlocked or not. Try the following steps, as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons for at least 19 seconds until the Apple logo appears
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
3. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
4. Replace SIM card (don't care what Telstra says)
5. Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup
6. Take phone to Apple.

I'm trying to login and putting in my Blackberry ID Username, and then my password, but it's telling me it's wrong. I then went online and tried it and I'm signing in no problem. I then changed my password and tried again but no luck! Can you help me? Thanks

You need to perform a security wipe on the device first before you can login with a new BlackBerry ID credentials. Please see: How to delete all data and applications from the BlackBerry smartphone using the Security Wipe optio...

The SIM cards are different sizes.
Just get a new one from your carrier, if the iphone does not already have one.

After updating my iphone 4 to iOS 5, it refused to read my att SIM Card. I went to the Apple store (Lennox Mall, Atlanta Georgia) for help, they told me that it was an Att problem, and needed me to get a brand new Sim Card from Att. I went to Att and replaced my SIM Card to a new one. I later returned to the Apple store, but the phone still didn't work. The apple techs blamed the att network, and stated I needed to go home and wait for 24-48 hrs, and retry the att network again, and hopefully the phone will work. The next option they gave me was to pay $200.00 to get a replacement because my phone was out of warranty.
So I basically I have a phone which has never been dropped, not abused, no water damage or what so ever. Prior to my IOS 5 update, it worked perfectly without any problems. Now, that its not working as a result of either Apple's or Att's fault, no one seems to be helping or standing behing their product. Both parties are blaming each other for the problem. Can someone help??

I've seen a number of reports of this on here. In most cases where people took their phones in to the Apple store, they were given a replacement, even if the phone was out of warranty.
