Problem using Chase Bank website only...super slow...why?

My speeds are superquick on all websites except for Chase online banking. It is barely even functional. I checked with Chase and they said they have had similar reports but that it must be with the browser. This is probably true since it works fine on my phone and at work.

There definitely seems to be a conflict with the Chase website and one of the Firefox extensions, add-ons or plugins. I'd been having the same problem with lag while using the Chase site, so I had switched to Chrome when I wanted to access to my accounts. That is, until this afternoon when I cleared my cache and history in Chrome and subsequently went to Chase where I was confronted with a user authentication request. Not wanting to deal with an extra hassle, I decided to try it in Firefox to see if the problem might have been fixed since I last tried. Nope. Same terrible lag. After a little research, I discovered another thread on this issue that suggested using Firefox safe mode (not to be confused with using Firefox while WINDOWS is in safe mode...). Bingo. Logging in to Chase was suddenly about as troublefree as it is when using Chrome. Of course I don't know WHICH add-on or extension is the culprit and I'm really not feeling ambitious enough to check them one by one right now, but at least I know that I can access Chase successfully through safe mode when I need to.

I cannot use pay bills on Chase Banks website and I could before this last update and with other browsers I can..

I can access the Chase Bank website and log in. I can only use bill pay with other browsers. I can access bill pay but after that if I manually put in the date to be paid since I can't use the calendar they have I can't get past verify

Go into Settings, iCloud on your iPad & iPhone. Turn streaming on there. I did that when I first set up my phone & iPad & have not had any problems. It will only stream over new photos so take one on your phone & see what happens. I hope that works for you.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

I can no longer open up any links on emails to any website. It just takes me to firefox but keeps the last page I was looking at. No problem using Safari however. ONly has happened since last update

I have an imac and using lastest firefox update. No links open to any website using firefox when I click on link on email. No difference if I right click and choose to open the link either

Thanks very much for that. it worked on my powerbook(running Tiger). I went to the link and followed the instructions and it worked. Did i mention that my dad who has a iMac running Leopard now has the same problem. I thought i would just do the same but the Preference in Mail for Leopard is of course different. There is no icon called "Server Settings" under Accounts section like there is on mine. Do you have a link for the same kind of instructions for Leopard?

It is possible that the website isn't compatible with Firefox 13.0.1.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Problem using af:inputfile when only file name is given without path.URGENT

But when I type only the file name without the path like(hello.jpg) and try to submit then a javascript error occured "Access is denied". I figured out the problem, and it was caused by JHeadstart. I placed a default display value in JHeadstart for the download link. This caused a default values bean to be created by jheadstart and that bean was what was causing my problem. The download link had a display value, but not a valid path. I removed the default value, re-generated the screen and it is totally fixed. I have pretty much decided that it is never a good idea to use a default value in Jheadstart.

TS1398 since i have updated the latest software i am facing problem using wifi which is very very slow most of the time or wont connect at all was that update supposed to be for better or worse

is apple product going down hill it seems their updates are creating a lot of problem now the wifi connection is really ******* me off it doesnt connect or even if it does its very very slow i used to love using iphone but i think its time to move on to something else they have taken everyone for granted

Welcome to Apple Discussions, Mark.
I've never come across your first problem on any of the Apple notebooks I currently own (or have owned in the past). Then again, perhaps I'm not looking close enough.
Have you compared it with any other 12" PowerBook? If not, perhaps you might be able to try that at a local store with units on display.
Otherwise you might want to give AppleCare a call. Alternatively, if you have an Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider near you (I don't know where you are located) then you can take it in to be checked.
As for your second problem (uneven illumination), that has been known to afflict other notebooks. My own 15" PB has had its screen replaced on two occasions because of this. Depending on the severity, you might be able to get it replaced. Mine became so bad that the screen was effectively unusable.
To be honest, here in the UK, I would actually try for a replacement PowerBook - if the problems were severe enough and also because your PB is still very new. However the consumer laws in your country (wherever that may be) might be very different to mine.

Photo problems using "copy selected albums only"

No one seems to be able to help me at Apple to figure out why if I have PhotoShop Album 2.0 that I can't get the IPod to let me have the choice of "copy selected albums only". The only choice it allows is to copy all photos and I don't want to do that. Would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I am not sure what you mean by "set up". It is on the computer I am using with my Ipod and really don't know how the Ipod and it connect/talk to each other. Having problem using "rownum" to retrieve only a particular number of rows

I have a table of some 18 rows filled with certain values and when I do this,
select * from t where rownum<10; it's working fine. and is giving 9 rows as the result but when I do this,
select * from t where rownum>1; it's giving me no rows selected as answer. Also, when I do this,
select * from t where rownum=1; it's working fine but when I do this,
select * from t where rownum=2; it's not working. This is all strange am I doing wrong somewhere?

select * from t where rownum>1; it's giving me no rows selected as answer. We should not use > operator directly with rownum.
This is because the first row fetched is assigned a rownum 1 and makes the codition false. The second row to be fetched is now the first row and is also assigned a ROWNUM of 1 and makes the condition false. All rows subsequently fail to satisfy the condition, so no rows are returned.

Problem Using (windows-ASP) websites

I am a new MAC user. I have been trying to access (and post listings) to an ASP (Windows) site. Their listing page doesn't allow me to type, and it doesn't recognize my fonts. I was told by the program developer of the site that I need to go to Apple.com and download something called V3 (so I can communicate with ASP). I have looked everywhere on the site and can't figure it out. Can anyone please help?

I can use Classic (Internet Explorer 5 - which came with my PowerBook, but I have to use html. And...as you know, IE 5 is SO horribly outdated and it is difficult to look at. Any other suggestions?

Having problems with National Lottery website. Any idea why?

Tried to get onto National Lottery website today and message saying website not responding. Checked with friends and they are saying all ok for them. Rang Lottery HQ and they said no problems with their website. Advised me to delete all history and cookies and download Internet Explorer. Is there any reason why I should no be able to use Firefox?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button

*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Photos loading to Macbook SUPER SLOW, Why?

Chase Bank download difficulties resulting in a blank screen

Tonight I have had a problem with Chase Bank giving me a blank screen when I tried to download my credit card statement. The file Chase downloaded was always 'statementPdf' (with a total of 6 downloads) and windows always stated that it had no program to open this file. I read another Firefox posting that had the same problem. I was trying to get back to that posting to add my temporary solution which works with Foxit: I just went to a DOS command line and used the old DOS rename command. By renaming it 'statement.pdf', I could open the file. This does not explain why Chase is consistently downloading a mis-named file. I first tried calling Chase but got a girl on their tech desk, apparently from India who was not very much help.

My mac mini is running super slow
