Problem using Epson V600 scanner in Photoshop CS2

The scanner opens its dialogue window, no problem.  I can do a Preview scan without any problem, but when I request a Scan, this progresses properly, but the resultant scan is presented in the Photoshop workspace on top of the Epson dialogue windows.  At this point all of the Photoshop features are greyed-out so that I cannot move the scanned image to close down the Epson windows.   The only way I can make progress is to minimise Photoshop, close the Epson windows and then maximise Photoshop again.
Previously I had an Epson Perfection 3200 scanner which always maintained the scanner windows on top - and so could be closed with a click.
Is there any way to keep the Epson Scanner windows on-top and automatically send the scanned image to the back on Photoshop CS2?    This should be simple, but I have tried most things.

Yes, but , Search coiuld not find  the twain plug -in / >

  • How do I get PE9 to recognise an Epson V600 Scanner in WIA Support Panel

    See above ?
It did show the Epson Perfection 4870 Photo Scanner.
This is the window that comes up after clicking on File.> Import>WIA Support
The old scanner Epson 4870 Perfection Photo was listed  above WIA Support and is still listed on Photoshop Elements 6, which also shows the V600, but, not Photoshop Elements 9 ?

Ps.This is a little frustratimg, it appears Premiere Elements 6 although  older works far better, in the monitor and shows the V600 immediately in Pro mode ,just as well it was a free addition with the Epson Scanner.

  • Problem with epson v300 scanner and iMac?

My epson v300 scanner worked well with my G4, but when I got the iMac it scanned photos with parallel wavy lines in the pictures' dark areas (looks a bit like wood grain, only wavy like an EKG monitor line). Got a new one since the warranty had run out, but it did the same thing. Called epson It yesterday and their solution was to get another machine (scanner), which seems pointless, since it seems it's more likely a problem with this model. I've used Epson products for years and like them, (except for the cost of printer ink), and would probably get another of their scanners, but want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong myself first. Any advice?

  • Using PSA 3 SE with Photoshop CS2 or PSE2

I have PSE2 and the full monty Photoshop CS2. As I want to create slideshows with my own background musice, transitions, etc I downloaded PSA 3SE hoping that this was the software I needed. However, in its Read Me First file it says that in order to use the full functionality for slide shows (music, transitions, etc) I need to upgrade to PSE2. But I already have that, and CS", installed but I cannot seem to integrate them with PSA 3 SE.
Any tips on what I need to do would be much appreciated. Adobe won't give me any email help/advice and I refuse to pay them $39 for a call that may not even help me!

It says upgrade to PSE 3, which includes Organizer, which is the highest functionality version of the PSA technology.
Having said that, none of these programs do a great job of slideshows.
My suggestion is go buy a "real" slideshow program. There are lots available. I like the product at http://www.wnsoft.com ProShow Gold is well thought of.

  • Problem using Epson Perfection V500 scanner to Leopard

This may be more of an Epson question, but their support is useless, as is their software. So I'm hoping someone in the Mac universe has dealt with this same problem (which appears to be a Leopard issue) and can help solve it.
Despite installing the driver from Epson's website that is supposed to work with Leopard, I still get an error when launching Epson Scan. I have re-booted my Mac post-install for the new driver and turned the scanner off and on. Scanner is plugged in (green light is on), connected via USB to the back of my iMac 20", and the lid cable is connected to the base.
I have heard about problems getting it working with Leopard, so i'm wondering if I should send it back. Any help would be more than I get from Epson. Thanks.

    Try VueScan
    <http://www.hamrick.com>
It has a free trial mode. If it doesn't work, then the scanner is defective.

  • Can I use my new scanner in Photoshop x64

I just purchased a Canon MP6150 and would like to use it in Photoshop just as I used to before, that is with very precise settings. The only available interface is Wia support or something and it is frightfully basic. So what can I do? Which software to use? I'm on Windows 7. Isn't there any x64 compatible Twain plugin available for Canon scanners or something? Thanks

Very few scanners have 64 bit TWAIN drivers.
You should use the stand alone software that came with the scanner, or petition the scanner maker for updated WIA drivers and TWAIN 64 bit drivers.

  • I just bought an Epson v600 scanner and i cannot install it. Help Please! :)

Lion OS X won't recognize it like it should

    Greetings,
You'll have to wait until Epson updates their drivers for use with Lion. After that Apple may publish a driver package, but it's the scanner, or whatever 3rd party device, manufacturer to provide the drivers to Apple. That's the way is is for Mickeysoft, Linux, and Apple - they don't write drivers, the manufacturers do.
You'll see drivers for your product on th emanufacturers site, before Apple will publish them, but they won't be very far behind.

  • Not enough memory problem using Import from scanner

I am using Photoshop CS4 Extended on a Windows XP Pro platform with 3.5 GB of memory. My scanner is an older Visoneer One Touch 8820 and has always worked well when using the File Import in PS. I now receive the message “Could not complete the import command because there is not enough memory (RAM)” when trying to import a scanned image. Under Preferences, Performance the Memory Usage shows 1689 MB of available RAM and Let Photoshop Use: is set to 1452 MB. The file I’m trying to scan is a grayscale business card and my One Touch interface shows the image size as 1.27 MB at 400 dpi. Any help is appreciated.
    TIA,
    Gregg

    hi mate,
have you tried re-installing your current firmware? if you are still receiving errors, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support
Only do this after you have checked that you have moved all possible files to a PC or external memory card on the device.

  • How to Use VuPoint Wand Scanner with Photoshop?

I have recently purchased a VuPoint Magic Wand Portable Scanner. I would like to be able to use my Photoshop program with these scans. I can locate the images, open them in Photoshop, make adjustments to them, but I cannot figure out how and where to save them for export to a website. I am 58 years old, and the advancements in technology have left me a bit confused about what to do next. The SD card will not let me "save" the changes made to the image. So, how and where do I go from here?

I'm not experienced with Windows 7, so for more detailed directions (including videos) on that stage of the process, I recommed this web page: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows/explore/photos
Once your scans are on your computer, you can start Photoshop, click on the word "File" on the top menu, and mouse down to the word "Open". The Open dialog will appear. In that dialog, you can navigate to the location where you stored your scans (the Picture library, for example). Once you've found it, click on one of your scanned images and click the "Open" button in the Open dialog.
At this point, you can make any adjustments in Photoshop that you wish. When you've finished, click on the word "File" on the top menu, and mouse down to the word "Save". You can save the edited image with the same name, or you can change the name.
One more thing: 58 is not old! ;-)

  • Anybody using Epson 4490 scanner w/ Arch?

    Hi, folks--
I need a good but reasonably priced photo scanner that works with Linux. I am finding that the choices are quite limited, but the Epson 4490 looks like a possibility. However, it requires the 3rd-party iscan driver to work with any Linux distro; the company that develops that driver tests a number of Linux distros, but Arch is not on their list. So, I'm wondering, does anybody use this scanner with Arch? Any voodoo required to make it work?
BTW, let's please not talk about Wine or any other Windows-based solution. I do need to scan, and will do what I have to to make it work, but any non-pure-Linux approach is a last resort. I would be open to suggestions of other scanners, though.
    TIA for your thoughts.

  • Problems using Free Transform within a Photoshop action

I have a few hundred images each containing text on a separate layer.  The text is in different positions on each image.  I'm trying to write an action to move the text in each image to a specific location on each one.  When creating the action I use free transform to move the current layer to x=750 y=800.  I type in the desired coordinates and make sure not to click the delta between the x and y settings so that it doesn't use relative positioning.  When I click the return button the text moves to the desired spot so all seems okay.  When I run the action the text moves a fixed amount relative to its initial position which is not what I want.  Each text layer is supposed to move to x750, y 800.  I'm having this problem with both Photoshop CS6 and CC2014 running on  a Mac using OS 10.9.4.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I think you misunderstood me. You can use the mesh on images of the same size but different resolutions, but you don't have to if you don't want to. Simply do your distortions, save the mesh, then load it for any image of the same size and all your distortions will be applied. Note that if you go into and out of liquify, the mesh will not remember the distortions you made in previous liquify adjustments. Any mesh you save will only remember the distortions you applied within that current instance of the filter.
I don't know how liquify may interact with an action, so you'll have to test that yourself.

  • Problems with Automate Batch tasks in Photoshop CS2

"Could not complete the action, since the destination folder does not exist" message appears when I Automate a task that I have previously recorded and successfully used.
When I choose Automate, then Batch, then select action, then select a source folder and a destination folder the message appears. Once "OK"  is selected it completes the action but only one image at a time before the error message comes back. If I am repeating the task on a folder with several images, I have to sit and click "OK" to the error message for each image for the task to complete.
How can I get the Action to Automate itself without the error message popping up? The destination folder does exist and I have tried re-recording the actions but the same message continues to come up.

Well, maybe "Save for web" command has remembered the folder for saving files. And then you use Automate Batch they trying to save exactly in THAT folder in spite of you choose another in Batch. If that folder doesn't exist program returns en "error" message. Try to restore "original" folder and run Batch again.
