Problem using iPad2 to project streaming video to a screen

Sounds old fashioned, but we use a projector and big screen to watch movies in the living room on family movie night. Up until last week I could hook up the iPad to the projector, rent or buy a movie on Amazon, and project it with no problem. When I attempted it last weekend the sound and closed captioning came through, but no picture. We could watch the movie on iPad alone, but not when hooked through the projector. This was prior to updated iOS to 8.3. We can still project videos from YouTube so I know it isn't my projector. At one time I could also project streaming video from Netflix, but that stopped as well the end of last year. Can anyone tell me whats going on?? Is there something I can do to regain the ability to project videos again?

    Please help me to unable my ipad2 to play stream video from rtr planeta . Thank you!

    I have no idea what rtr planeta is but if it uses Flash, it won't work very well or at all on an iOS device.  If it is Flash, try the Skyfire browser... it is supposed to run some Flash sites.  Review it carefully before purchase.

  • Huge problems using external iSight or DV video camera on my MPB DCD...

    Ok, so I am developing some applications that make use of a video camera for motion tracking, and I have run into a huge problem when trying to use any external video camera. I have both an external iSight in great working order (I have tested it on my tower, which is also brand new, but on 10.4 for reasons of other applications not yet supported on 10.5.1) and also a Sony DCR-TRV520 NTSC Digital Handycam. (Once again, works perfectly when plugged in to the tower.) But if I plug either of them in to my MBP, no programs recognize their existence at all, be it iChat, iMovie, or my application. Nothing shows up in system profiler either. I try reboots, I get nothing... the internal iSight constantly takes over or is my only choice in applications.
    And before you even ask, yes, my firewire port works, as I can plug my external firewire solo audio interface into it no problems, and no, I don't have any other firewire devices plugged in when trying to get the computer to recognize they are there.
    Quick response would be awesome, as I am on a timeline to finish the program development and it is very important that I get this to work, preferably the Sony.

    I just read this in their Forum mate ...

  • Problem using Miracast on HP Stream 7

    I just received my Stream 7. I ran windows update on it and it is currently fully updated. I have been trying to use miracast to my TV which has a Netgear PVT3000 Push2TV Wireless Display adaptor. It is slow to establish communication but does eventually connect and disply the screen from the Stream 7 to the TV. However, after 10 or 15 minutes, it drops the connection. I have a Surface 2 which I miracast to the same TV all the time with no problem. Is there a new miracast driver for the Stream 7 that fixes this problem or is there another solution to fix this problem

    I have two Stream 7s (5709) I have:
    * Amazon Fire TV
    * Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter
    * ActionTec Miracast receiver And the Stream 7 has problems with all 3. It is slow to connect, drops randomly (sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes after a few minutes). This appears to be driver/wireless related (possibly related to the wifi drop issues also seen with the Stream 7 in other forum posts). My other devices do not have the issue, and if I use a USB dongled WiFi adapter that supports MC, the problem is not present. This leads me to believe the current WiFi drivers have issues. HP should investigate and update as necessary. In the meantime, I am considering using some reference drivers to see if I can get that to work better.

    Hi,
    I don't know anything about how your setup is plugged into each other,so I'll gracefully and carefully go out on a limb:
    1.The Migraine Audio device,it has sound outputs...yes??? Are these outputs hooked up to any sound-generating devices,like speakers,yes??? If not,that would be one reason why you don't hear anything from the migraine device.
    2.The Core Audio Drivers in Logic,they are configuerd correctly,yes???? They are selecting the Migraine device as the I/O,yes??? If it is not,then you might be recording with the built-in mic,oohh la la,not a good thing.
    3.If you do have spekaers hooked up to the migraine-induceing device,they should be on,and the monitor knob turned to about 10am,so your migraine does not get too loud.
    Did the limb I go out on break,or am i still up on the tree?

  • How do I use my iphone to stream videos,games, and music via airplay in itunes?

    Hi.
    I was looking for an option to use airplay from my iphone to itunes(not apple tv) After searching for a while, i understood that I cannot do that unless I have a apple tv. But when I bought my 5s when it released, I remember playing my videos from my phone to itunes via airplay. But i forgot how I did that. Can anyone please tell me how to do that? Or if any of the recent updates took those features off, is there anyother way I can do that?
    Thank you

    Normally backups are incremental, and you can only restore the latest. EXCEPT that a backup of an earlier version is archived, and the first backup of the new version is thus complete. You should be able to restore a 6.1.4 backup to iOS 7. Click the Restore Backup button. The dialog that comes up should have a dropdown where you can select a backup to restore. If the old one does not show up it cannot be restored.
    However, since you appear to have a Mac, if you use Time Machine you can restore an earlier backup over the current one from your Time Machine history.
    You can also back up to iCloud, even if you don't sync to it. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5262
    One well hidden feature (for future use) is archiving backups. If you go to iTunes Preferences/Devices, right click on the current backup and choose "Archive". The next backup you make will be a competely new one, and the old one will be preserved and can be restored at any time.

  • Problems Using Cue points to Loop Video

    Ok, so I want to use cue points to navigate through video.  I want to start by simply looping the video from the end back to the beginning.  I keep getting an invalid seek error 1003.  Here is my code.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks
    import fl.video.MetadataEvent;
    Movie.addEventListener(MetadataEvent.CUE_POINT, loopFunction);
    function loopFunction(e:MetadataEvent):void
        if (e.info.name == "end1")
            Movie.seekToNavCuePoint("beginning1");
            Movie.play();

    At least you are getting notified even if the seek doesn't work.
    A brief workaround could be to iterate over the cue points you detect in metadata, assigning each cue point name and time in an object. Once you hit the cue point you desire, see if the object has the time value and seek() to the time for that cue point rather than seeking for it by name.
    e.g. (written briefly, you get the idea):
    // object to hold time values
    var cuePointArr:Object = new Object();
    function onMetaData(infoObject:Object):void
        var cueIndex:String;
        for (cueIndex in infoObject.cuePoints)
            trace("Adding cue name[" + infoObject.cuePoints[cueIndex].name + "] at time[" + infoObject.cuePoints[cueIndex].time + "]");
                        // store as name = time
                        cuePointArr[infoObject.cuePoints[cueIndex].name] = infoObject.cuePoints[cueIndex].time;
    function loopFunction(e:MetadataEvent):void
              // correct cue point and has a value in cuePointArr?
        if ((e.info.name == "end1")&&(curPointArr[e.info.name] != null))
                        // seek to time value
            Movie.seek(Number(cuePointArr[e.info.name]));
            Movie.play();
    Moving 900mph here so forgive any typos but turning it into a normal seek based on the time value should work for now.

    Hi everybody.
    I'm living in two places, both of them equiped with PCs, one running Windows 7 and the other Windows XP (nobody's perfect !). They run last version of iTunes with same Apple Id.
    As one is the backup of the other, both of them have all the videos I'd like to broadcast on may iPad (not enough place, so no download). Some of them are TV shows I bougth, other one are personnal videos.
    All was perfect on the first PC (the one running Windows 7) until I activate the same setups on the second one. Now I can broadcast personnal videos from that PC, but I can't anymore on the first one : when I open Videos (the application) on iPad, the only thing I see on the menu is "TV show", witch allow me to download (not broadcast) from Internet the show I'd like to see, but I don't see the "shared library" I used to see before.

  • Sound but no video using iPad2, linksys e3200 router, all apps, green screen no other video

    I recently purchased an apple tv and the video from mirror does not show up. i can hear the sound just fine but when it comes to picture i just get a green screen. i thought it could be a router issue so i bought a new router (linksys e3200) and that did not help. the router, tv, apple tv, and ipad 2 are all in the same room. i have turned off blue tooth on my ipad hoping that would help incase there was some sort of interference, no luck. my macbook pro is also starting to have what looks like signal

    Just been back into iTunes, and a video file that I have saved in TVshows tab plays fine!!!
    Bizarre
    Hop someone can help

  • Using QT pro to play videos in full screen

    Can you paly videos purchased through iTunes in full screen with good resolution with QT pro? I bought some episodes of Lost and hate the resolution. Thanks!

    You mean can you increase the size of a movie and have it still look good? That depends on the movie more than the software.
    Try NicePlayer, it will allow full screen playback - the same quality - that QuickTime Pro would, but its free.

  • Noticeable lag when using drawing tablet, streaming video, and simple games

    Hi, I'm using a Toshiba Satellite Laptop model A335D-S69221. There is a noticeable lag when using my drawing tablet, streaming videos (such as youtube), and games that are not  "fast" such as This War of Mine and Don't Starve. All drivers and the system is newly wiped and up to date.  When visiting web pages if there are embedded videos it causes a whole system lag until it either asks me to stop script or I close the page.  Colors and graphics look just fine.  No problem playing fully downloaded videos. The programs themselves work just fine and the lag only happens with the above mentioned activities.  Not a virus.
    Is this an issue that can be solved by increasing the RAM from 4GB to 6GB or 8GB?  Or is it an issue with the graphics card?  I suspect RAM but don't want to shell money on the wrong thing. Most of the programs say 4GB is required but it almost seems bare minimum.  Is my laptop even worth upgrading?
    Unfortunately it takes away my ability to draw and makes gaming progress annoyingly slow.  Once the lagging action is complete it works ok but just repeats.
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Processor: AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core RM-72 210 GHz
    ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics

      this is my personal opinion as a guy who had more than 5 pcs, 4 gaming laptops and other mac books for work in the past.
      I believe it is slightly an older model of Toshiba you are using, your drawing tablet relies on your Ram but not as much as it relies on your GPU which would be the graphics card processor. So none of those upgrades will give you a significant change on things you want to do.
     I would rather suggest you a newer model for the things you do with your budget than getting rams for your computer. Both of you are processor and graphics card.
     If you want to upgrade, Ram is your cheapest option, but check out the slots, usually they have 2 slots, and 2 x 2GB on them, so if you buy a 4GB , you get 6. DDR II is kinda out of date with current programs and software, keep that in consideration aswell.
     I do not think any upgrade you spend money on will give you the speed you want to feel.

  • FLVPlayback and streaming video

    I am reading about the different between progressive and
    streaming video on the web. I want to use FLVPlayback to play
    streaming video. In Flash help, to use streaming video we have to
    create a connection to server right? And the code to connect to
    streaming video on the server (FCS or FMS) is:
    nc = new NetConnection();
    nc.connect( url);
    ns = new NetStream(nc);
    ns.connect();
    Also in the Flash help, in the FLVPlayback section, how to
    play video using FLVPlayback is shown, but I could not see anything
    related to the connection or NetStream variable as the above code.
    So how can the FLVPlayback play streaming video? Could anyone help
    me please?

    Unless the video is completely downloaded to the iMac you can not rule out the Internet connection.
    Since it plays all other video with no problem the downloading stream would seem to be the source of the problem.
    I had cable modem and it is no guarantee of a fast connection. Also even having a fast connection on one end doesn't mean that the source of the video is pushing it all that fast.

  • Streaming video (esp Netflix) not working. It did before.

    I recently had a new hard drive installed in my Macbook, by the folks at the Apple store. I had brought it in for a few reasons; mainly, after a drop on the floor, the laptop was really slow in opening up programs, booting up, etc.
    The computer is still running much slower than it used to (?), but the major snags are gone. Except now I have a new problem: When I try to stream video on sites like Youtube, it is really choppy. (Nothing has changed with my internet connection, I know that.) When I go to my Netflix queue to watch instantly, an error message comes up saying that "streaming is not supported for your operating system." Yet my OS is 10.4.11 when the minimum for Netflix is 10.4.8. Even after that laptop was dropped and a lot of the programs were running slowly, streaming videos anywhere from the web was not a problem.
    Ideas?? Suggestions??
    Thank you in advance!

    I have te same problem. You got any fix?

  • Blocked streaming video?

    Hi. I'm running a Mac G4 tower.... My problem: I can't get streaming video in my browser window when I'm online. Even the apple QT troubleshooting page test showed no video (though the installation check said it installed fine). I also have a G4 laptop running ALL the same programs and using the same router (both are on airport), and I get video FINE on the laptop. I compared the network info from the laptop to the tower and it matches, no reason for the video streams to be blocked, even the security is exactly the same. I was told this maybe more of an Airport/network problem than a QT problem, so I'm posting here...
    Does anyone know how I can fix this? It's driving me crazy!!! Many Thanks!

    Many thanks for the quick reply... I was afraid it might be software related. 2 years ago I installed Norton Systemworks (the whole package, including antivirus) - though I nolonger use the program, I think it may have installed something 'behind the scenes' so to speak. I pulled the stuff out of the system preferences that was Norton related (that was obvious in the pref 'others' pane), but now I think it may have set up a block of some sort? The only firewall that is running currently (that I see) is the OS firewall, same set up as the laptop. Any idea how I can trouble shoot this video problem? I REALLY thank you for your help!
