Problem using pages created by Muse in Eclipse

Hi,
I created a website using Muse and exported that to HTML into my workspace of eclipse.
I get an error when i do that; I have posted a snapshot of the same here, can somebody please tell me what I need to do in order to get rid of the error and run the website on a server?

I didn't get a good answer, but I have a workaround. I downloaded FreeMake to use to convert the flv created by Adobe. If you go this way, simply convert from flv to flv, and FreeMake will use a differnt audio codec that is comatible.

On my machine it seems that the fi ligature doesn't exist with Times New Roman (installed version is 5.01.3x)
It's available in Warnock Pro but the st one which is designed in Warnock doesn't apply.

Problems using projects created in older versions of iMovie

I have a few projects created in older versions of iMovie, as far back as version 2 as well as more recent versions. Most of those projects are finished and I want to burn them to DVD again, but a couple of them could bear a little touch up editing. These projects are precious movies of our kids and hard to replace. Although I could probably find the original video, I put many hours of work into creating these projects.
In any case, when I open up an old project, I get a warning that goes something like this: "The project was saved with an older version of iMovie. Opening it in this version will cause it to be upgraded, which will make it unreadable by older versions. Are you sure you want to open it?"
I clicked okay, thinking "sure, I don't need to play it in an older version. I have iMovie HD."
However, now when I play my old iMovie project, there are a few problems. For example, one original movie's title was over black. When I play the movie, I get a completely white screen and no title. Also, in another movie, when viewing the movie in full screen, the transitions were replaced by a black screen (although the transitions were there when I viewed the movie in the iMovie window). Basically, there are problems cropping up here and there.
I need to do some more experimenting with all this to more fully understand how many problems there are. I don't know if the projects I opened in iMovie HD are now "broken" since I "upgraded" them with iMovie HD (when prompted to save the project's changes when quitting, I said NO, don't save changes).
I don't know if I should use older versions of iMovie to view and burn to DVD these projects. (I still have iMovie 2 and 3, but not 4 or 5. I don't know if older versions would even work on my Quad G5 with OS 10.4.7.) I also don't know if the older versions of iMovie would work with the current version of iDVD. How can I tell which version of iMovie was originally used for a given project? How can I find iMovie 4 or 5 if I need it?
I also wonder if projects I make with iMovie HD can be opened by future versions of iMovie, or if I should export them as Quicktime or something to be safe.
As I start to look into this further, I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, and experiences that you may be able to offer. I need to get these movies back to their former selves, when they looked good!

The old versions of iMovie will run just fine in today's OSX. (But not iMovie 2 if it was the version that ran in Classic instead of Mac OSX.)
I run versions 2,3,4,5 and 6 today. Problems are minimal.
I also don't know if the older versions of

That's not a problem unless your old iMovie projects contain chapters. If you tell iMovie 3 to create a new iDVD project, it might not work. You might not be able to transfer the chapter information to the newer version of iDVD.
(I just tested iMovie 3 to iDVD 6 and everything worked just fine.)
Except for iMovie 2, all old versions of iMovie stored a small QuickTime reference movie in the project folder. If you can't get an old version of iMovie to play nice with iDVD, drag that movie into the iDVD window.

We can never assume any new version of iMovie will be able to understand all features of a older project. It's always smart to make a backup.
There can be problems Apple can't anticipate. There may be third-party software used to create titles, transitions and special effects, plug-ins not installed with the new version or (more often, incompatible). The fonts installed on our Mac may have changed too. There's lots of features that can't be anticipated. I've never had a problem converting projects, but I never use third-party add-ons and special fonts.

My guess is it should be possible to restore the projects back to their original state.
Note that when imovie 5/6 converts an older project, it does NOT create a true iMovie HD project. Instead of creating an iMovie package, it retains the project FOLDER format. It places new iMovie HD elements inside the old project folder instead of converting it to a package.
When converting the project it changes the old project file name to "Sample Project Name.iMovie2Project", then creates a NEW project file with the plist format, having the name "Sample Project Name.iMovieProj". (There may NOT be the .iMovieProj extension.) When you save the new project, it adds a new project file "Sample Project Name.~iMovieProj". Note the tilde. The tilde file is a backup of the project file as it was when last saved in iMovie HD.
For our purposes, ignore the iMovie HD project files. We'll use the file ".iMovie2Project" to restore the project. (The extension is the same for all old versions of iMovie, not just iMovie 2.)
• In the Finder, Duplicate the entire project folder. Work on the copy.
• Open the project folder in the Finder.
• Discard the "Cache" folder, the "Shared Movies" folder, the "Audio Waveforms" folder and the two iMovie HD project files. (Some of those items may not yet exist yet because you didn't save the converted project.)
• Drop the "Sample Project Name.iMovie2Project" file onto the TextEdit icon in the Dock to get the version. Close it.
• Remove the ".iMovie2Project" extension, if you want.
• Launch that version of iMovie. Drop the "Sample Project Name.iMovie2Project" file icon on the iMovie icon in the Dock. With luck, the project should open normally. It's possible any third-party plug-ins used to create the project may not be available. If they aren't available, there might still be problems.
• Move your unconverted projects to folders that say which version of iMovie created them. To open them in the future, drop the project icon on the appropriate version of iMovie.
If all this fails, there is another way to do the editing you want. That is to import the project.mov file that's inside the converted project folder to a new iMovie HD project. That will deliver the video and audio of the original project as a single clip. Use that to re-edit the project. The name of the movie is "Sample Project Name.mov".
(The movie is a QuickTime reference movie, with no video and audio of its own, just pointers to the files in the Media folder. So long as the Media folder hasn't changed, it can play the original project as last saved.)
Importing the project.mov won't work with iMovie 2 projects, however, for iMovie 2 didn't store a project.mov file in the project folder.
Even if you end up importing the project.mov, you still may want to "unconvert" the project as described above.
Hope I haven't skipped a step. Let me know if you bump your head on something.

Is anyone having problems using pages app with iPad mini?

I have to use a template report for my job- which other people with normal sized iPads also use- I use pages to convert the word doc - which contains writing and boxes - I complete the report and send it back to work, when they open it all the writing can't be seen down the right hand side, so I'm having to write three words per line in each box so they can read it when they open it, this is not ideal and wondered if its the iPad mini that can't cope ? Wondering weather to get the standard size iPad although I don't really want to do that.
I also need a way of password protecting my work can anyone help ?

I have an HP Scanjet 8390 with the same problem ($1600 new when I bought it). Using the "HP Scan.app", I am able to scan but not save - something about a read only file.
The HP Scanjet 8390 is a business class **DUPLEX document scanner built like a tank, critical to my business (and personal). ie. I scan 100's of duplex pages a day for the last 6 years with no problems. It has a 14" glass for legal documents, 48-bit, +programmable hard buttons to scan and copy, or scan and print, OCR...
I called 1-800-633-3600.. HP told me they do not support legacy products, have no intention of updating the drivers for legacy products and suggested I buy a new scanner (even though my old scanner works perfectly and is faster and not ).
What is considered a legacy product? 1 year? 2 years? Am I to buy a new ($1000) scanner every 1-2 years? What benefit do I get from a new equivalent scanner?

Problems with form created in muse to use in business catalyst ecommerce checkout

I am trying to create a form to use with my BC hosted site for the commerce module checkout
I have created a sample form - but every time I update the site it overwrites the form that I have modified in BC
I have checked the option to not export the page that the form is placed on but it still overwrites...

Hi,
any webform which is not used till now, will be deleted by Muse. To fix this,
1) Create the Purchase webform with payment details in BC.
2) Goto Module template-> online shop-> register buy layout and place the webform .
3) Go to test page URL and submit a test entry.
4) Check in back end a order will be created.
5) Then publish the site via Muse.
Muse never deletes a webform which has been used for submission.

Problem using Page items in trigger

I have a requirement in my application in which I need to use a page item in my trigger..
My basic requiremtn is I have 2 forms to enter data..I need the name entered int he first form to be displayed in the second form, since am associating the data entered in the 2nd form to the name entered in the 1st form..
In my 2nd form where I need this, am setting the Source of Server_Name to P105_DEVICE_NAME. But I need this info to enter the details to the table..So I ve created the folowwing trigger.

Thanks Tyson. I have changed it but I still get the same error.
For some reason, The value of P105_DEVICE_NAME is becoming null.
I tried executing the following in SQL workshop.

and got the following output
skdjaldjakdjalkdj
Statement processed.
0.00 seconds
It doesnt print anything for v('P105_DEVICE_NAME').
Any idea why this is happening?

How do I make a shop page on my Muse website

Hey BC people,
I have built a website with Muse and have got my client to sign up to a BC account that suits their needs. I am wanting to insert a shop page on my Adobe Muse built website. From what I read I could drop a module (created in BC) onto the page and it would work. I built my inventory and placed the module code but I can't get it to display the content with on the page. in the shop http://luckwoodshop.businesscatalyst.com/luckwood-range
Here is the website http://luckwoodshop.businesscatalyst.com/index.html I'd like to have the 'store' page display the items, rather than link them via another button. Is there an easier way to build templates?
Is there a better way to do this? Should I export the site to DW and try and do it there?
I'd rather not use a BC template and I only want the shop module. Is this even possible?
Any help or support appreciated.

I don't use Muse but from what I hear it's a good starting point but once you publish your Muse site to BC any edits you make on the BC server won't sync back to Muse and vice versa. So-- once you've moved the site over from Muse to BC you should start using BC/Dreamweaver to make future changes to your site.
To that end-- since you are now on BC and want to take advantage of advanced features not in Muse (ie- an online shop) you'll need to start using some BC methods like using sitewide templates.
If you don't have one already, you should create a default page template... basically, just take one of your pages created in Muse and copy the page source and then create a new Template on BC and paste in your code. Anywhere you have main page content, just remove it from the source and replace it with {tag_pagecontent} which is where all the page content like shop products and catalogs will appear. Then, make this site-wide template the default template and have your shop use that template and you should be all set.
On a side note-- you should optimize the background image for your website. Right now you've got a 3mb file as the background image in your link to index.html above. A lot of people are on tablets nowadays using 3g and you are essentially having them download a file the size of a full mp3 song just to see an image that isn't necessary for the site to function-- it's just for the experience layer so you need to make it smaller. For one thing-- if your image has a lot of gradients or colors (like yours does-- it has many gradients) and/or is going to be a high resolution image (like yours) you should be using JPG instead of PNG. JPG gives you more compression options-- try compressing that image to 65-70 compression which should get that image down to size in bits/bytes.
Your whole site is about 4.5 Kilobytes and 3 Kilobytes of that is that one image for the background so you should optimize it/update it to JPG.

Problems using illustrator

I downloaded creative cloud and now I'm trying to open a file in illustrator and everytime it opens the file, I get an error message that says illustrator stopped working?!?!?!?! Help!! I really need to update a file in illustrator

I can't even open it. Every time I open Illustrator, it immediately shuts down and say Adobe Illustrator has stopped working. I need to fix this ASAP.

Please try holding Cmd-Opt-Ctrl-Shift when restarting AI on a Mac or Alt-Crtl-Shift on a PC to reset the preferences to the factory defaults.
Now check if you get the same issue, then please create a OS user account and try in that.

How do I upload a website created with Muse using FileZilla?

I created a website using Muse. Everytime I try to upload the website through Muse, the uploading crashes. The assets folder contains many large pdf files, so I think that is part of the problem. I was able to upload the large pdf for the Muse website using FileZilla. So, my question is: How can I upload the necessary files created with Muse (html, scripts, etc...) using FileZilla? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Please use the option of Export as HTML in Muse and then try to Upload it to hosting server using filezilla.
You can find this option in File > Export as HTML.

Problems with Pages and Numbers using iCloud Drive on early 2008 MacPro, Yosemite

One of my computers, an early 2008 MacPro running Yosemite, will NOT save Pages or Numbers documents to iCloud Drive from within those applications. I see the little iCloud Drive error badge next to the file name in Finder after I try to save. However, on the SAME computer I can save Pages and Numbers documents to a local drive (e.g., to my Desktop) and then use the Finder to drag the documents to iCloud Drive successfully. Another computer, a MacBook Pro running Yosemite, has no problems using iCloud Drive to create, edit and then save Pages and Numbers documents stored on iCloud Drive. I have tried "turning off" iCloud Drive for Pages and Numbers in System Preferences on the Mac Pro and then turning it back on to no effect. I have also logged out of iCloud Drive on all of my devices (which include two iOS devices) and then logging back in to ensure that I'm using the same login id on all devices, again with no apparent change.
Any suggestions for my next steps in attempting to solve this issue? Is there any way to get more information about precisely what type of error is occurring? Hovering over the badge only shows "Error".

Found a solution, but it is odd:
On the 2008 Mac Pro, I UNCHECK the boxes beside Pages and Numbers in System Preferences > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Options. Now Pages and Numbers will properly save edited documents to the appropriate folders on iCloud Drive.
Go figure ...

Editing pages created using dreamweaver with microsoft's visual studio express

Here's a quick, somewhat vague, question for anyone who might have an answer. Is there a trick to editing pages created using dreamweaver with Microsoft Visual Studio Express? The reason I ask is I recently finished a web site for my first client who now wants to make edits herself using the program she uses, that being Microsoft. I thought it would be as easy as pulling the html files from the server (or the usb flash drive i gave her), making changes and then putting them back to the server, but apparently she is having some problems. I'm meeting with her soon. I have no experience with any other programs, other than Adobe, so I don't know how much good I'll be in helping her. Maybe it's an easy question, maybe not. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Hi David, I meant the templates with the dwt extension, not the html files that are created from them. The full version of VS will recognize the dwt extension as 'Dynamic Web Template' but as this is a microsoft extension it does not recognize the code for editing and shows a large number of errors, (before anyone comments the dwt file extension is used by a number of other programs, all referring to a different file type).

Muse uses Fixed width Layouts so that is not 100% possible. You can extend images and box elements to full width but not actual content.

Passing parameters in a html page using xwd_tmppg.create

We are in the initial stage of Developing a OLAP Web Application using
Oracle Express Web Agent 6.3.2,Oracle Express Administrator6.3.2.
Flow of our screens are:-
We have a login screen that authenticates user entry to access his assigned role screen.Based on the role the user selects we will be listing out the analysis in a screen that the user could access.
Express Programs are used to create Role and Analysis screen.
User logged information is passed from login to role screen and to
analysis screen using XWD_APPPG.CREATE that accepts parameters.
Moreover this function can only be used to create html page with out
data views.
Now let us come to our problem-
We need to take the user from analysis screen to detailed data view screen that shows the OLAP cube with a back & exit button.As explained earlier you need to use the function XWD_TMPPG.CREATE to create dataview.It is not possible to pass parameters through this function.This function accepts .html as the only parameter.But we need to pass the userid info to get back to analysis screen for the user to select the next analysis.I need the user logged info available in the template file.
Is there any solution for this problem or any other approach to capture the user logged info in the template file???

this method within the SCRIPT boundary.
I also want to pass this value to a express program embedded
within the  so that it will enable the
user to go back to List of analysis page.her my footer program will
inturn call the Analysis Page with the userid information.That's my
whole idea.
I tried the following methods to acieve my end result-
1)Tried to store the value in a local variable in the template & passed
it to the express program -- Error thrown was "userid is not attached in
the database"
2)Directly specifed location.search.sunstring in the express program..
Still the same error was thrown
3)Thought of storing the value in the name of hidden object .Still this
will not work out because i need to declare the object in the FORM..
Moreover the value is avialable wihin the JAVA SCRIPT range.Out of this
range template is not able to identify this value.
Any idea Aneel form your end.
Can you let me know how to use hidden object in achieving the result.
