Problem using some programs

Some programs that are suppose to be compatible with my mac are popping up as incompatable and have that stop sign on their icon.
This happened to me more than once already. It first happened when I tried installing starcraft for macbook with the patch and everything. I successfully installed, but I tried to start it, but it had the stop sign on it and a messege popped up saying that the program is not compatable. I uninstaleld and installed again, and after a couple of tries, I got it to work.
Now I am trying to run PowerLisp 2.02 on my macbook, but the same thing is happening, but this time I can't get it to work. I ignored the problem the first time, but now it's annoying.
Does anyone know what is going on? And what i can do to get around it?

I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

Problems using the Program Monitor

Dear Premiere users,
I recently bought Adobe Premiere CS3 and i'm having problems using the Program Monitor.
I cant see anything off screen. It just wont show anything if its outside the boundaries of the screen. I can adjust the zoom level but that wont change anything even if i set it to full screen.
Another problem I'm having is that it wont show motion paths or clip handles. Even if I make a motion path in the Effects Control window it wont show the path in the Program Monitor.
I really appreciate any advice on this because it drives me crazy. I already tried installing it again but that wont solve the problem.

First of all I hope you are being sarcastic Jim. Sorry for being not that clear but I'm not stupid :).
Craig Howard is right. I thought that the Program Monitor was similarly to AEFX. But I suppose I was wrong on this one? So you cant get something to display outside the image area? If I place a clip outside the project dimension it just disappears in the Program Monitor.
And about the motion paths. I thought I read in the Premiere help files that they do show up in the Program Monitor. The topic says: "Adjust position, scale, and rotation" or "Animate motion in the Program Monitor ". There are pictures over there that show clip handles and motion paths in the Program Monitor. Clicking the effect wont do anything for me. Its like my video driver cant get them to show or something.

They are dragging frames off screen and are using the handles and borders around the frame to adjust them. So I guess it should be possible, but how?

Can someone please help?
Im having a problem using some Apps - mainly Natwest banking and My Fitness Pal both are saying i require internet to use (wifi or 3G)
I do have BIS on my phone and can acces internet and other apps suck as Facebook, GoogleMaps, Paypal etc etc.
Is there something different i need to do to use these apps?

Some problems using some Matlab functions

I have some trouble with MathScript when i want to use some MATLAB functions in it such as unique or histc. (i'm using windows 7 and LV2010 SP1)
These functions are theoretically supported by MathScript insofar as they exist in MathScript Documentation but they return an error. This error explains that my matrix sizes are invalid but when we are doing exactly the same process with the same matrix in MATLAB, it ends well.
So I checked the two MATLAB and MathScript documentations in order to see if there is a difference between the same functions. It is proving to be the same functionning in MathScript and in MATLAB so I am a little lost.
In order to show you a concrete example :
If we have a X matrix equals to (77 77; 88 96) and we are doing unique(X). The result is supposed to be (77 88 96) but mathscript returns an error.
On the other hand, if X is not a matrix but a vector, unique ends well but i'm not interested in using some vectors (because it is exactly the same kind of problem with some others functions using only matrix).
I could use a matlab node script but in this project, we would to avoid the use of a Matlab Licence.
Do you have some idea in order to fix this kind of problem

Currently, the unique(X) in MathScript can accept vector input only. It reports error when X is a matrix. As a workaround, you can use
unique(X(:))
instead.

I have a eMac PowerMac4 and use quarkXpress (v 5) and filmaker pro 6 (v 1) and will be purchasing a new iMac soon. Will I have problems using these programs?

I currently have an eMac and will be buying a new iMac soon and need to use the QuarkXpress (have v. 5) and FileMakerPro (have 6 v. 1) software for a current formatted newsletter I produce. While I can get the latest version of FileMaker pre-installed by Apple, Quark is no longer available at Apple. If I purchase QuarkXpress 8 (I have read there are problems with v. 9), will I be able to add my current files to the iMac and have everything work? Thanks.

I found that the QuarkXPress (v. 5) has the ability to Export and Save As....
I tried save as, but didn't see any way to have it saved as anything other than the Quark.

Have just installed Lion and Quark 7.5 works well plus Adobe CS3 with the Java Run updates etc very pleased with the new Lion from Appple.
I don't understand how this poster could get Quark to work on Lion, I thought I read Quark requires rosetta to run it (or maybe the Fix for the end of August took care of that). However, this person had the 7.5 already, but I can only upgrade to a certain level while in Tiger, so this apparently is where the problem arises (?).
I also have come across a disc to update Quark to 5.01, but that's not much I suppose.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

CS6 problem installing some programs.

I tried to install CS6 and was unable to install Photoshop (64 Bit), Flash Professional, Illustrator (64 Bit), Dreamweaver, and InDesign. I need to install these programs, especially Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign!

after a clean install of Nokia Belle FP2 on my 701, I am not able to install Nokia battery monitor 3.1.0 and Facinate 2.0.56, I get a "application install failed" message. Any ideas?

No problems with Facinate v2.0.56 upon 700 Belle FP2, but the SmartInstaller does need to download four additional components to allow installation of this application:

MacBook Pro slow after using graphics programs

I'm an architecture student and I have a MacBook Pro 15 ', bought in January 2009 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz / 4 GB Ram / 320 GB HD / NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 Mb - NVIDIA GeForce 6600M GT 512MB) with Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.7).
While studying architecture I find myself often using graphics programs, with jobs that require lots of computing power, this is the second time I have the same problem:
- Use Photoshop CS5 with a large file (around a 1 GB), the computer is not connected with the power, thus using the battery.
The next day I turn on the computer, is considerably slower, noting that the Dock is not fluid, the application menu is jerky, and when moving from one Space to another is no more fluidity.
If I start to use some programs, or even just listening to music with iTunes and surf the Web, is very slow.
I've already done this, so almost the same a few months ago, I tried resetting PRAM and NVRAM, disk repair, repair disk permissions, delete cache system,
I checked the processes in Activity Monitor, closing the most expensive and controlling those that run on Login, I disabled Spotlight, almost complete depletion of HD, removal of most of the programs and any other what is usually recommended in these cases. But nothing worked, until I used the startup disk by deleting everything.
A months later I have the same problem, and I have tried everything I already tried, but the formatting.
In addition to solving the problem, now I would also understand why every time I use my MacBook Pro from € 2000, bought specifically for work with these types of programs and files, I have this type of problems.

Problems using Lightroom 3.2 in new pc laptop

Hi ,
I just installed lightroom 3.2 in a new laptop.
In my old laptop ,I had my photos and catalogue on external 500gig hard drives.
When I plug the Hard drive into the new laptop and click on the catalogue to open it ,not all of my setting have come across to the new machine.
For Example ,User presets in "Develop Module" and Metadata presets,copyright info etc are missing.
Can i someway export these settings so that Lightroom has the same presets etc on my new laptop without entering the information again?
Also , a second question.
If i was to use the internal 500gig hard drive in my new laptop to work on photos on location/in the car etc(im a press photographer).
What is my best way of taking them and backing them up to external hard drive later? Can i just drag and drop folders of photos to an external desktop hard drive or should i use some program and if so any recomendations?

I know you can't help with my Yahoo problem, however, apparently at some time in the past I have went to the Sync and tried to figure it out on both my laptop and my desktop, because I have the long snyc key information. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for the original owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. Water + electronics do not mix. Something was damaged insode, and the logic board may be corroding as is.
Take it to a Genius Bar for an evaluation and repair estimate.
This is accidental damage and not covered by warranty.
