Problem: Video on Zen Mozaic?

I have a Zen mozaic and when im tryin to transfer videos to the player it says "Convert unsuccessfull" and im using Creative Centrale, What is wrong? someone that got the same problem? and do someone how to fix this?

I've got the very same problem. I've got a Creative Zen Mosaic, version .03.0 and I'm using Creative Centrale, I also got Windows XP. The problem is, that I convert my video to 320x240 (using jetAudio) and still I can't transfer my video successfully.
Can you help me with this? Should I use different converter? If so, which one?

Playing videos on Zen Mozaic

I have a 6gb Zen Mozaic and I am having trouble finding videos that I can put on the player. I looked at the format of the sample videos that came with the player and they are .avi format so I tried to upload a few other .avi video files to the player and I got an error that said it cannot play that format...
Is .avi the only video file type supported or can it play other types of video files? Is there a video converter I can use to fix this? Which one works the best? And why won't it play the .avi file I tried to upload?

AVI doesn't say everything. Inside the AVI file there can be different video and audio formats. The AVI files you uploaded to the player probably won't play because they have an unsupported video or audio format in them.
The Mosaic only supports MJPEG as a video format, and the screen is 60 x 28 pixels. So I would try converting it to AVI, choose MJPEG as video format and set the resolution to 60x28 (or try higher, it will improve the quality but there is a limit where the player doesn't play it anymore..). Also set the aspect ratio to "full" or something similar, to prevent it from cutting off your video. And set the audio to mp3.
I like Format Factory (http://www.formatoz.com/). Although there is a drop-down list for the resolutions and bitrate, you can also just type it in that box and it will work.
Xmedia Recode is also a good one, it has about the same options (except hardcoding subtitles).

Creative zen mozaic 4GB, problems with albums

I have just bought my mozaic, the problem is I put my music in albums, but they are not visible, I can listen to them only as separate songs which is not comfortable as it is more than 700 songs. How to make the albums visible? I would be grateful for any advice. I tried to put them via the programme included and drag and drop but it doesn't work

Creative Zen Mozaic: Conenctivity problems

Good day, I'm using both Vista Home Premium and XP (with SP 3 and WMP installed). While My Zen Mozaic (8gb) works fine on Vista, it can't be connected to XP. The player itself is recognized in Device manager though it is listed under Other Devices. Windows can't find any drivers for it (I've tried reinstalling device, no use). Any help is highly appreciated.

Zen mozaic problem

My zen mozaic player is about two months old. It has been working properly since i bought it until i used a charger that is not a creative product. I've been charging it for about an hour until i noticed it doesn't charge at all. Worst, it doesn't open anymore and when i used my creative charger again, it doesn't also charge anymore. Then i reset it, it opened but when i connect it to the computer it doesn't work properly. Creative centrale hangs and when i disconnect it then try to connect it again to the computer i noticed that it takes time for the computer to?detect my device. Unlike before that it can be easily detected by the computer right away. I've also tried to do the recovery mode, it has been working properly since then and it is now charging again using the creative charger adaptor. But now when i tried to connect it again in my computer, it has still problems with regards to the connection. It cannot be detected easily. My player turns off and blackout when i connect it to the computer. When i reset it, its working again. But when i try to connect it again to the computer, the same problem happens. Before it is charging when connected to pc, now it's not. Please share your thoughts about this with me. I love my zen mozaic and i love creative definitely. I'm not expecting my player to be faulty at this early. I wanted to have it the way i've had it for the past two months. Anyone? What will i do? Thanks in advance.

Hey dude.. I ve this player too and I really like it. But I haven t any problems with it. Did u try to reload the firmware (Don t know if this player has a support of it) Can you reinitialize it's And I would try to re-install the creative-centrale... But u have to answer one question: Why did you use the charger Why don t you carry your the usb-cable I ve a charger, too, but when you have a problem with it, I won t use it anyway. )Sorry for my english, beeing from germany and left school for over 7 years)

Zen Mozaic EZ300 8GB Speaker not working

I have the Zen Mozaic EZ300 8GB, got it for Christmas, charged it overnight last night through my PC after upgrading the firmware to the latest version.
Went to mess with it this morning and all seems well except... I have no sound at all from the speaker. I set the speaker to on, through the menu while playing a song... no sound. I crank the volume all the way up, still nothing. I unplug the headphones, the speaker icon comes on, play an MP3 or a video... no sound.
So, do I have a bad speaker or is there another setting somewhere I can enabe the speaker ? :/

Well, the player has never worked properly. This problem is since the first time I tried to use the player two days ago!!
Once the player is on, the keypad does just not respond, any of the keys. When I reset it, the player starts up again (the creative logo, the zen logo) and then the main menu displays, once there (where I am supposed to navigate through the menus and submenus) i just cannot do anything because of the keypad not responding.
I already tried this sequence: reset + pressing play/pause at the same time while I turn it on, and nothing happens, I mean, it is everything all over again, no response from the keypad, so i can't even select the option i want from the recovery mode display.
I have already connected the player through the usb cable to my PC and I can perfectly see the content of the player, all the music i previously saved, and even play it in my PC but doing nothing at all with the device!!
does that mean that my new player is just faulty!?!? what a disappointment, I thought what a great present was!
I would appreciate any new ideas! regards!

Zen Mozaic 8GB, the same Album Art shows up on every f

My Zen Mozaic froze last Sunday but I brought it back to life using that wonderful reset button (or whatever it's called). It works as it should except for one thing - every single music file appears to belong to the same album. This might not have been an issue if it wasn't for the fact that I actually have more than one album on my player. Also, some of the tracks doesn't even belong to an album at all since I recorded them myself using Audacity. Thus, I am quite sure that something is wrong.
The background image when playing any file changes to this album image, and when I click the white button a few times to change to the playlist, the album image pops up again (as it normally should... If the song actually belonged to the album). The image used should normally only be present on one track though this one track, according to Creative Centrale, doesn't even have an album image. :smileyvery-happy:
I removed the song that naturally should have that album image, turned the player off and on again but the problem is still there. This never happened before the player froze. I attempted to bribe the player, but it didn't help either.
Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this?

Zen Mozaic 8GB - Clock not working prope

I have a Zen Mozaic 8GB with the lastest firmware on board. I have notices that the clock appears to reset itself. This once so far, but used to be a regular problem for my Zen Microphoto 8GB.
Is anyone aware of a fix for this clock problem?

Did you download the right plugin for MediaSource? What firmware version are you using?
If you're using the v.xx PDE firmware, make sure you have downloaded and installed the following:
. Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03
2. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2
3. Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20 for Creative MediaSource
4. Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update
Install , then connect the player to the PC. Then install 2, 3 and 4 (the player must be connected for 2 to verify you have a Creative product).

ZEN Mozaic connection issues.

My ZEN Mozaic will connect to charge, but wont do anything else. I cant access it to view or add files.
I've tried it on another Desktop, and it worked, but it still doesnt work on my laptop, when i check the message its been giving me it shows that i dont seem to have the drivers for it. I've searched around and cant seem to find the drivers or anything else that could help. Now I'm wondering what i can do next to try and fix my problem.

Open your device manager window and plug-in your ZEN Mozaic. Check if it will be detected. Observe if there is a question mark/exclamation mark icon on the device.

ZEN Mozaic and Playli

I just got a new Zen Mozaic. It seems a lot harder to make a playlist then on my Zen V Plus. How can you make a playlist fast and easy like on the Zen V Plus where you copy the file? (MP3 podcasts in my case) to the player, click on the Zen V Series Media Explorer and right there you could edit a playlist and add the new files?
What I do is copy the files inside of their download folders (I use RSSRadio as my RSS reader), so the show name is the folder name. Copy the folder to the player, under a folder named 'podcasts'. Now when I look in Creative Centrale I can not find how to display by folder location to do a simple drag and drop into a playlist.
The Creative Centrale seems way crazy, and hard to figure out. It was very easy on the Zen V Plus. What am I missing? What is the simple way to make a playlist?
Anyone have the same problem?

So far I'm still working at trying to get any books to show up in there.
I'm use to an iPod for one thing , got the Zen for my husband..
I may have the settings wrong in the Creative program ,don't know for sure though.
The instructions that came with the Zen, are to me just awful..they don't tell me much of anything.
I found this website and it has helped me a lot so far as using the Zen player.

Computer doesn't recognize my Zen Mozaic

I have a new Zen Mozaic MP3 player (about 2 months old). I have been using Windows Media player to transfer music from my PC (XP OS) to the player without any problems until now.
Now my computer doesn't recognize the MP3 player as being connected to the USB port. I uninstalled the Creative software that came with the player and then reinstalled and it didn't fix the problem. Also I've tried connecting other flash dri'ves and the computer recognizes them.... Also, shutting down and restarting the PC didn't help either.
Is anybody having this same issue?
Any help would be appreciated.

Downloaidng videos to Zen moz

i read all the preievious messages but i still cain,t get my Zen Mozaic to play msic video that i tried to dowlnload. I would go to youtube and get the url of the video that i wanted and the go to zamzar to convert a flv. filt to avi.,wmv, and mp4 and the device doesn,t work with any of them when i sync it it always says error on the device even though i am using the correct converter please help me this is important to me

Re: Error Message of no codec when trying to load videos to Zen X-Fi" If it doesn't come out and say what codec it lacks, then your best bet is to load it into a media player that can handle playback (e.g. WMP) and then use that application to get information about the file. The file properties should include the info about which audio and video codecs are involved. I find Media Player Classic to be handy for grabbing this info. It tends to reveal the details in cases where other media players do not (i.e. it will show you what it knows regardless of whether metadata tags exist).
Is this error coming out of Creative's video converter application itself?

Zen Mozaic Randomy Freezes

Zen Mozaic Randomy Freezes? Hello!
I have a problem with the 8GB Zen Mozaic. For some reason, it randomly it freezes. I have no idea what's causing this, as it doesn't happen in a set time (ie. every 2 or 3 times I turn it on), nor does it happen while I'm doing a certain thing.
When it freezes, it plays a "static" sound if it's playing a song. Other times, it freezes while it's changing song.
Past this point, I can't do anything. If I try to turn it off, the "Turning Off" screen appears below, and the monitor starts fading, but it never shuts off. It just displays the "Turning Off" screen, along with the battery status and the lock icon. The funny thing is that I can turn the lock on and off, and I can make the screen brighter if I press a button.
If I try to press the Play button after it freezes, nothing happens. Basically, the name of the artist/song/album still scroll along, I can make the screen brighter if it fades out after 30 seconds, and I can still turn the lock on and off.
In other words, the player remains on whatever I do, it looks like it's recieving all the commands, it just doesn't do anything with them. I can't open the menu, I can't turn the player off, anything. I did read about the Recovery Mode, however, I can never get to it because the player freezes before I can shut it off. :smileytongue:
I've actually been lucky enough for it to lock when I'm already heading home and I won't need it for the rest of the day, but it does get annoying to have to let the battery drain every time it freezes. It's a problem that's been happening since I bought this player, it's never particularly bothered me, but it's getting too frequent to ignore.

When the player freezes you should be able to turn it off by pressing the little reset button on the left side. Use something small and pointy to reach it.
Also, you don't have to first turn the player off to access the recovery mode, if it's already off you can just proceed with step 2. Try a clean up and reboot, to see if that hel
ps.
You can also try formatting the whole player, but make sure you have a backup of the player's contents, because everything will be erased.
