Problem: Viewing a room from room directory

Hello All,
I'm using the sap provided Room Directory iview in our portal project.
Rooms can be created by different users.
The rooms which are created are displayed properly in the room directory in form of a list. But when any of the room is selected the next screen shows just the links like documents...search.....home.....Tasks....Admin:Room....
Nothing is displayed below these links.Also when I click on any of these links the page just refreshes and nothing is displayed.
Can anyone please help me in this regard.

I don't think it's possible because a MIDlet lives isolated from the rest of the device's filesystem. It can only store persistent data on the Record Media Store, which is unique for each MIDlet.

Does any have problem viewing digital signature from PDF?

I have this problem, when viewing digitally signed PDF from iBooks app, all the signatures are gone.

I sign the pdf with a digital signature which includes a picture of my written signature. When I attach it to Apple mail or upload to mobileme, the signiture disappears. My clients see nothing. When I go back to the email in the sent box and open the pdf in the email there is no signature. When I open the original pdf the signature is there
This problem does not exist in outlook 2011, but would have liked to use mail as outlook does not support caldev

Problem viewing mail transferred from one Mac to another

I recently purchased a new Mac. I used Time Machine to back up my old Mac, and then had it transfer all the information and settings from my old Mac to my new one.
One problem I've had is that when I open up Mail on my new Mac, none of the emails from my old computer can be seen. All the mailboxes and associated settings transferred over without a hitch, but none of the emails are visible. When I access the Mail folder (via Users/[My Name]/Library/Mail/V2), I can find the files of my old emails in the various subfolders; so they obviously transferred to the new computer. But I can't figure out why I can't view them.
Any advice or help on how I can solve this issue would be very much appreciated.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

Problem Viewing/Opening PDF from Outlook attachment

Some PDF files will open just fine. Other PDF files will give me this error: "Can't create file. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder."
Can someone please help? I am using Adobe Reade version 9.4.1 and Outlook 2003.

Hi,
The workitem is not completed, it can be viewed if logged on to the SAP system externally (not from the Icon in outlook mail).
The issue is it cannot be viewed and the SAP screen hangs when it is clicked from the Icon in the Outlook mail.

Problems with loading Classes from a Directory of a jar file.

Hi Guys,
i have a problem with my programm. It works greatly in my eclipse platform. but there are all classes in my default folder. I want to add a plugin function now. My Abstract classes are in in my default folder and my doughter classes are in my plugin-folder called plugin.
I look what is in the pluginfolder -> all my doughter classes. but i every time get a Class Cast Exception and an ClassNotFoundException.
How can i do that ? Current i do it with Class.forName(frames.substring(0,frames[i].indexOf(".class")));

Problem viewing in Excel from HTML browser through HTTPS

Hi Everyone,
I have a small web based application, where I am displaying the data on the browser through secured connection (SSL). I have also provided the capability for the user to click on a button and view the data in an Excel spreadsheet. Basically, I am using - aResponse.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel") to change the content type and regenerating the html code for Excel.
Now, this works perfect when I am within the network. But when I am outside of the network, login and browse to the specific page and click on the button to view in Excel, Internet Explorer pops up a small authentication window prompting me to enter the User Id/Password again. Entering the "Id/Password" or hitting "Cancel" does not work and gives me an Excel error.
Has anyone experience this before or know of a way to resolve this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Too much warnings in the Problems view

Hi all,
My FlashBuilder "Problems view" is polluted by false warnings and they prevent me to see true warnings because the Problems View will show me only the first 100 warnings.
I have a PHP project with some code from a third-party library with 1000 warnings. I don't want to remove them.
I have an AS3 project that may have warnings but I can't see them because all the 100 warnings in the Problems View are warnings from the PHP project.
1- Is there a way to see more than 100 warnings in the Problems View ?
2- Is there a way to see only the warnings from the currently selected project ?

Room Directory iview problem

Hello,
I am in to NW04s EP SP10.
In my Room directory iview, I am not able to see all the rooms that i have created under each tab(my room, Restricted, public).For example, I have created 15 rooms under restricted category. But I am able to see only 10 rooms under the Restricted rooms tab in the room directory iview.There is no option to navigate to see the remaining 5 rooms.
Is there any way to show all the rooms under each tab or to provide next page navigation if it exceeds 10.

I got the below information from SAP Note - 877937.
Following are the steps for getting pager link:
Missing pager in Room Directory when there are more rooms than the number listed on each page:
To keep the current settings (TREX is used/not used for room search), follow this description:
Go to System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> User Interface -> Settings -> Collection Renderer Settings -> Collection List Renderer.
If TREX search is used: Set the value 'this,RoomPager(alignCenter)' for the property components in every CollectionListRenderer of the LayoutSet Roomdirectory in the Collection Renderers listed below.
If TREX search is NOT used: Remove the value 'this,RoomPager(alignCenter)' for the property components in every CollectionListRenderer of the LayoutSet Roomdirectory in the Collection Renderers listed below.
Collection Renderers:
AllRoomsTabCollectionListRenderer,
AllRoomsTabNarrowCollectionListRenderer,
CommunitiesTabCollectionListRenderer,
CommunitiesTabNarrowCollectionListRenderer,
MyRoomsTabCollectionListRenderer,
MyRoomsTabNarrowCollectionListRenderer
Do the above settings and will get the pager link.

Configuration of Pre-selected tab of the Room Directory

Hi,
It appears from SAP Help that it is possible to preselect the tab of the collaboration Room Directory iview to display, as well as to define what room types to display under each type using the iview property 'Pre-selected tab of the room directory' as described in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/01b341800e3231e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
I have tried entering the value 'ALLROOMS{restricted,public} into the above value, but I do not see public rooms being listed in the resultant room directory iview. Does anyone have experience with this?

From the rest of your description, it sounds like an implementation bug; anyhow, this does not seem to appear on KMC SPS14. If your are on an older version, consider to upgrade your installation.

Changing Layout for Room Directory

Hello All,
I need to change the Layout for Room Directory,
For this,i did,
1) KM -> CM -> User Interface -> Settings -> Layout Set -> Search for Room Directory(Taking duplicate and named as Room Directory 1) -> Changed the Display Properties for private, public and restricted Rooms.
2) Changed the Layout Settings Property for the Room Directory iView.
But it is not reflecting, anything has to be change?

Hi,
From the link, I posted you can see that the folder settings take precedence over IView settings (Exception: Layout Set Mode Force).
Check this to define layoutset on the folder:

The problem here is that your folder already has a layoutset defined on it and this takes precedence over your IView settings. So either you set your new layoutset on folder or remove exisiting layoutset of the folder so that your iview settings take precedence.
I am not sure why IView settings Layout Set Mode Force, does not exist on RoomDirectory IView, if set to this mode then IView settings are taken even layoutset on folder exists.

Room Directory - links to room is not working

we are using room directory to enter collaboration rooms.But the room directoy link is loading fine when we clicked on the top level navigation but if we click on the "Room Directory" link from detailed navigation area nothing happens showinf blank page after

Exchange Admin Cannot View Full Room Calendar Permissions

We are a brand new Exchange 2010 SP3 (14.3 build 123.4) shop with Outlook 2010 (14.0.6112.5000), so no older versions of Exchange or Outlook exist in our environment. I have full Exchange administration access to the system and Full Access to
all room calendars.
If I open a room calendar in Outlook and view the Properties, Permissions the Default access only shows two Read options available: None and Full Details. Whereas if another Admin views the permissions it shows all four options.
So if Admin #2 views the room the Default access will show it has access to Free/Busy time, subject and location, but when I view the same room it shows Default as None since the other options are not available to me. So I am not getting a clear indication
of the real Default access nor can I set the correct access. If I view it in PowerShell I can see the correct access. I have cleared my Outlook cache and I am set in non-cached mode and I have even rebuilt my profile, and yet I still only see the
two options rather than all four. I can see all four options if I look at the permission of my own Outlook calendar, but if I look at any other calendar, person or room. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

According to your description, we understand that you have Full Access permission to all room calendars folder. If the Default calendar permission is set to Free/Busy time, you cannot view the exact Default permission. Instead, it shows None. It is normal
phenomenon.
Based on my test, if the Default access permission of room calendar is set to reviewer or higher permission, you can view the
corresponding permission in your Outlook.
I think the reason why Admin #2 can view the real default permission of room calendar is that Admin #2 may have full access permission to the room mailbox instead of room calendar. In other words, you can try to add full access permission to the room mailbox
for yourself to check whether the issue persists:
Add-MailboxPermission –Identity RoomA –User “Brit Whittington” –AccessRights FullAccess

More than ten rooms in Room Directory?

Hi,
our Room Directory does not show more than ten rooms even though there are. (They are visible in the "My Rooms: Owner" or "My Rooms: Administrator" iView respectively.) There seems to be no way to expand the list of the Room Directory nor to change to a next page.
Is this a bug or did I miss something (configuration, etc.)?

Hi Jens,
this happens when you intentionally deactivate the "Use TREX" option for the Room Search.
In this case, you would need to change one parameter in several places:
Open the LayoutSet "RoomDirectory". Here you will find 6 Collection
Renderers. Mofify all of them by:
1. Remove the content (currently: "this,RoomPager(alignCenter)")
from the field "Components".
2. You can change the "Number of Rows" to another value.
Then the standard pager will be used again, and you will see only the defined number of rows.

I have Room Directory iView .
Whenever i click on Filter button, i get following error message.
Exception class: class com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException
Exception message: index with index id initial doesn't exist!

this is a known issue in KMC SP2 P35, repaired with P36 for SP2, see SAP note 883392. I cannot find a similar note for EP6 NW04; P36 for SP2 has been published some days before KMC SP14 P1. Have you installed Patch 1? Maybe it has also been repaired with it, otherwise you should expect it as repaired with SPS15.
Switching back from TREX search to the old RoomsOverview technique probably should be a workaround as long as it is not working within SPS14; see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6b/4e9442c22d1131e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm for details
