Problem Viewing Flash Exposure Data in Bridge

Hi Folks
When I view flash exposure data on my camera it will show me the flash compensation value I have set eg -0.7 or +2. When I download the images and view the metadata in Adobe Bridge (from CS3) I appear to lose this information. It will tell me that the flash fired or nor, but that is about it!
Is there anything I am missing here, or is it just a limitation of Adobe Bridge.
Any information would be gratefully received.
Regards

I have been looking for the same information in CS5. Although I can't find it displayed anywhere in the Camera Data you can find it if you really need to.
Choose File Info from the File menu and then go to the Raw Data tab. Use the search function to look for "FlashCompensation". I found it there for my Canon G11.
Painful but works if you really need it too.

  • How to view video Exif data in Bridge

I cannot view video Exif (i.e., camera settings) data in Bridge.  I can see it for still images.  I shoot video in both MOV and MTS, but can see it for neither.  How do I view it?

Thanks.  Is there some equivalent of Exif information for video?  For stills, I shoot RAW and much appreciate being able to veiw the camera settings once the file is in Bridge.  I'm new to video.  It would be even more helpful for me to see the video details, so I can better learn from my practicing.  I can view some video file data in my camera after shooting:  f-stop, white balance method, compression method, aspect ratio, and frame rate.  So, this data is being captured and stored on my memory card.  After downloading to Bridge, I'd like to be able to view this same info there.  Is this possible?

  • Problems viewing Flash Player content in browsers (as consumer)

Win XP Pro version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
    IE 8.0.6001.18702

I have insured I have the most current Flash Player installed.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled it.  I have confirmed my internet security is not blocking the content.
I'm writing as a viewer / consumer on web pages (mostly shopping sites).  I do design web sites, but do not know Flash Player.  On sites that have Flash Player content I can no longer see the images.  When I right click on the image area, the Adobe Flash Player menu pops up, so that's how I figured out it was Flash Player. The happens in both IE and Firefox.  I have not tried Chrome - would have to install that.
The "one moment please" message displays and then overlaid is "please try again later, our apologies."  Examples of this are on jcp.com and bradfordexchange.com on individual product pages.  Following are two links to individual product pages:

  • Problem Viewing Flash Movies in Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer 11

I am running a fully patched/updated copy of Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer version 11 (on the desktop)
If I try and run the test movie at
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8html I get the following message:
Either Flash Player is disabled or ActiveX Filter is ON.
Please follow trouble shooting steps to play Flash content.
I have checked and double-checked that...
    Flash Player is enabled
    ActiveX Filtering is turned off
Internet Explorer is running the latest version of Flash Player
The only way I can get this to run at all is to enable'Compatibility Mode' for the web site.  Is it the case that Compatibility Mode has to be enabled to view any web site containing Flash content?
Any information would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
Do you mean the issue is only occurred on the website you provided? How about other websites?
I can run the test movie with no issue in my test machine, I suspect this issue is caused by browser incompatibility.
As I know, if the issue is caused by a compatibility problem between Internet Explorer and the site you're on. The issue can be fixed by adding the site to your Compatibility View list.
I also would like to suggest you reset Internet Explorer Settings for a test. Also make sure you're not using InPrivate Browsing.
    Hope it helps.

  • Problem Viewing Flash Object in IE

I have been managing my wife's website. She had someone design it, then the guy stopped responding, so I took over. Im somewhat of a beginner, so I cant figure this one out, and have looked online for resolutions. There are two pages on her site that have flash objects. When you go to either page in IE, you get an error : Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player. It then gives you a link to update, which lets you update, but then doesnt resolve the problem. Like I said, someone else did the basic design, so im not sure where they went wrong.
    The two pages are:
    http://www.karabakerphotography.com/index.html
    and
    http://www.karabakerphotography.com/gallery.html
The pages work fine in Firefox and Safari. So its only IE that doesnt work. I know differet browsers can use different versions of Flash. I have been using Dreamweaver CS4.
I have not spoken with anyone who can view it using IE. Everyone that uses IE has mentioned the problem to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any further info from me, just let me know.

Do the flash communicate with files which is outside of the sitedomain?

  • Problems Viewing Flash in Safari

I posted this over three days ago, got 49 views, and exactly zero replies!
So I am reposting in high hopes that someone can suggest something, anything that I can try.
    Thanks for viewing anyway...
+I am trying to troubleshoot for my sister who has an iMac G4 800mhz; 768mb RAM; 64mb VRAM; running 10.4.10+
+Quicktime trailers play fine for her in Safari, (or on her desktop), but with Flash content, like at Youtube, or Comedy Central, the video playback stutters badly. I define stutter, as unwatchable jumpy video, and audio that plays back better than the video, but also drops out occasionally.+
+I've upgraded her to the the latest version of Flash, and that did nothing. I also downloaded Firefox, just to check another browser, and Flash content stutters there to.+
+My next idea, as a test, was to download a flash file to her desktop, and see if it stutters there without using Safari, and it's flash plugin, as the player.+
+So I downloaded a flash file from youtube, (by doubleclicking it in the activity window, which automatically downloads a file called, "get video," with no file extension, and a generic icon.)+
+I then added a .flv on the end of the file name, and the icon turned into a flash icon.+
+Now, I want to note, on my computers, when I add a .flv on the end of the name of one of these files I've downloaded from Youtube, when I highlight it in a finder window under column view, I see a preview of the movie, which I can play there. I can also ctrl click, and choose, open with other, (because flash player will not open an flv file), and choose Quicktime as the app, it opens and plays.+
+On her computer, when I highlight the same file in column view in her finder window, there is no preview visible, just a large flash icon, and the file will not open with her Quicktime app either.+
+Now, I could care less whether she can play the darn things on her desktop, though I am perplexed that I cannot. (I was just troubleshooting.) Btw, we are both using the same versions of OSX 10.4.10; Safari 2.0.4; Quicktime 7.2; and Flashplayer 9.0+
+All I want is for her to be able to play Flash content on Safari without the stutter.+
    +Any suggestions?+

The most important thing: don't upgrade your OS or browser now.
Next, all we need to know is the speed of her internet connection, the amount of space left on her hard drive, the number of cute little widgets she has on her machine, and how long & often 10.4 has been used. These I explain below (except the internet speed, which just requires a larger buffer).
First, however, try adjusting the Power Management from 'Better Energy Savings' to 'Better Performance'. Flash runs fine on an iBook G3 whose disk is virtually filled (for momentary storage) connected to a 100 Mbps DSL, so something big (but likely easily fixed) is wrong.
On the G3 machine, Flash cinema (as opposed to cartoons, in SWF files) will stutter hopelessly if the Energy Setting is 'Better Energy Setting' and run adequately if set for 'Better Performance'. This is when viewing previews with Safari 2 of NetFlix movies.
If you Ctrl-Click the screen, a little menu offers 'Settings'. Clicking the folder, I choose only 100 Mb of cache. You can offer Flash as much as it wants.
The real problem, I'm guessing, is that MacOSX 10.4 is not paging (as it should), but swapping in desperation. This OS uses demand paging: the real memory is pretty much filled with processes (programs in memory) you either need or want to run, and the OS starts exchanging those pages (4096 bytes?) from the hard disk needed to run what is now scheduled, replacing part of the memory of a process not currently needed to run. This is fast, and the processors have hardware designed to page.
Problems arise when (1) you have many little widgets active (for, though they don't run, they take up real memory and can significantly reduce your 768 MB of RAM; and (2) your processor is stressed. This you can check by running 'Activity Monitor'. When real memory is mostly filled most of the time, when your hard disk's freespace is fragmented so the pages must be stretched out all over your disk; or the number of processes become too great: your computer swaps to speed the computer.
Swapping moves essentially the entire process to your hard disk, so whole processes are stored in real memory. These can be large. If you need just several large ones, they must play musical chairs: some pause when swapped to the hard disk, and others run fast. Power Management needed to cool the G4 is sophisticated, and takes memory. Safari 2 takes great memory. If fact, Safari 2 and a few widget will fill about 512 MB of RAM chips.
Now, if your swapping several processes that the scheduler things are really, really needed to keep your computer running, Flash Player will be swapped out, empying its cache. When it comes back, moments later, you have lost that period of time and it stutters.
I should start 'Activity Monitor' running, see what resources you are short on, then 'turn off' the Power Management processes and see if things improve. If you are not short of any resources, I should suspect your freespace is fragmented. This is not reported by any utility I'm aware of, but it will cause your Mac to ultimately swap rather than page.
This is because 10.4 had its file system 'augmented': every 20 MB or less in size is written defragmented. This is done by searching out the free space and diminishing it. This was (in my opinion) a good idea only if people now & then defragment their disks with a file-by-file backup & restore, or a disk defragmenter. Otherwise, your computer will eventually stop paging & start swapping, with a great change to your 'user experience', and you won't know why.
I should guess that this iMac G4 has run 10.4 quite a while without either. Is this true? Version 10.4 was installed on this iBook G3 when it first came out, and months ago I received the message: 'Not enough free space for 5 MB swapfile', when the OS reported 7 GB free on the hard disk!
    Write back.
    Best of luck,
    Bruce

When I go into full screen mode, the video freezes but the audio continues. The only way to fix this is to view it in "normal" mode and to refresh the page. When I right click on the video to access the settings in order to disable the acceleration, "settings" is not clickable. Help??

  • Problem viewing flash in Safari. (used to work fine?)

Hi, I use Safari for most browsing, and it has been fine until the last few weeks, Now I cannot see the flash content on any site. I get a Quicktime Q with a ?mark in it. I cannot right click to get the Flash menu either.
When I test the same sites in Firefox they work fine.
I have updated my Flash from the adobe site and this has not worked either.
My recent downloads are to to with SWF file reader and a few for Rapidweaver.
Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3). With all the latest updates installed.
Thought about deleting Safari and re-installing it with a new download. But I would rather find out what the real problem is, rather than this last resort option.

  • Problems viewing Flash??

Im a web developer, and I developed this site www.actionfx.net/freeman
    The problem:
The doctor I built the site for has an Airbook. It took him 45 seconds to donwload the web site. With my cheapo gateway laptop next to his, it took me 7 seconds to download the site. The entire site is about 2 Megs. The site preloads about 300KB when you first access it.
    Anyone else having this issue?

Try a test account where? I'm confused.

    Check these settings below:
In Safari prefs. "Appearance tab:" " Display images when web page loads" is selected.
    In System preferences->Quicktime preferences:
    • Browser tab-> Play movies automatically is checked ?
    • Streaming tab-> check that your streaming Speed is set correctly i.e 1Mbps cable or 56 modem....etc... set it for your internet connection.
•Advanced tab Transport Setup: Automatic vs Custom
✓Enable Flash [ actually this made no difference in mine]
you could try it... no difference set it back as was.

  • Problem viewing flash video on Firefox

just came across a very odd problem happening with Firefox only.
The video loads first time and plays, however if you click the next time it comes up saying cannot access/access denied, couldn't replicate in any other browser.
Basically it works fine first time after clearing the cache in FF.
it's odd, would need a resolution immediately.
    - you should get a video link on the home itself.
*in case u cannot access it please try out in sometime since we update it sometime.

  • Problems viewing forms in reader - easy fix using adobe send?

My colleagues and I were having problems viewing and printing data in forms.  Went to the help forums and apparently it is caused by someone filling in a .pdf form on a mac - it corrupts the file.  I saw a lot of fixes suggested including a javascript for acrobat, but I only use reader, not the full acrobat, so none of them seemed to work for me.
However, I think the easiest way to fix one of these forms is to use adobe send.  If I take the corrupted form and send it to an email address using adobe send instead of sending it as an email attachment, it seems to fix the form and make the data visible again.     Have done it with a couple of forms now and it seems to work.
Now my question is, does anyone know why this works?

I don't think so. The problem there seems to be not being able to save the filled out form in Reader and needed to Extend features in Adobe Reader so that Reader users can save the form. This isn't quite the same.
My client can edit the form and save it. The problem seems to be needing to edit the saved and filled out form AGAIN.

  • Viewing Flash movies w/ v.9 player crashes

Has anyone had any problem viewing flash movies on a Mac with
the newest v.9 player? All our Mac's with the v.9 flash player take
an extra 11-12 seconds to show up and have a tendency to crash our
browsers. But viewing the exact same movie on the exact same
computer with the v.8 player they work just fine. I've tried it on
all our Mac's running different OS... both Power PC and Intell...
different browsers and I am getting the same result. Flash 9 takes
longer to load in and crashes the browser but 8 works just fine.
However on a PC it works just fine with the v.9 player. I use
Influxis and talked to them today...they can't seem to figure it
out and are having their mac guy look into it for me. Thought I'd
see if anyone else has had this problem. On a side note I like to
listen to BBC Radio 1 and that site crashes on me all the time. But
never happened before I installed the v.9 player. Did a little
digging and found other people having the same problem. They say it
has something to do with the banner ad's/video's being export to
    Flash 9.
If anyone has any ideas...please help me out. Below are a
couple of links. The second one is a test Influxis set up as a test
while I was on the phone with them. It uses a simple NetConnection
with no player component. Both work great on all out Mac's with the
v.8 player but not with the v.9.

Here's an experiment I want you to try.
Go to: [User]/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles (hold the "Option" key when clicking "Go" from the Finder menu to access your [User] Library)
Copy the "default" profile folder from there to ANYWHERE other than the Firefox folder (a Flash Drive preferably, so you can remove it)
Trash the "default" profile folder and empty the trash.
    Relaunch Firefox.
Go to YouTube and play ANY video there.
If prompted to install Flash Player again do so.
Let us know if that changes anything.
