Problem viewing video in both YouTube and ArtBeats, firefox hangs

when I click a youtube link it registers an error, however, works in safari.
Also, on artbeats site, trying to view their videos actually crashes firefox. I am using mac, osx 1.5.8

In the Action section - Change QT plugin to QT player.
I don't use Safari. Maybe you can do the same in its Preferences. If not, hopefully a Safari user will chime in here.
BTW: Any reason why you haven't updated FF to v3.0.2?

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password. If you get the same error after doing that, re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:

Problem viewing videos feeds

I'm having a problem viewing video feeds on sites like Youtube and Veoh instead of a video showing I get a icon that looks like a lego with question marks on them now how can i correct this?

That means you do not have the proper plugin installed. You need the Flash plugin.

I am just finally posting a reply. Looks as though the sound card went out. I was told that I could purchase a new open and install myself. I did not do that, but rather my step-dad just decided it was time to buy a new Mac Mini.

Problems viewing videos and trailers after the lastest Flash Player update

I have Windows 7 - 64 bit, I use Firefox 11 (latest version) and Chrome (latest version); however, since I have installed the latest Flash Player update, I cannot view any trailers or some videos. Youtube works fine, but other sites dont (I just get a green screen). Please can someone assist me? I have tried the "Help" section for Flash Player and it hasn't been too helpful.

Ok, I found the problem, my hardware acceleration was set to enabled, once I disabled it, I had no problems viewing any of my sights that used Flash.

You might want to update your driver, particularly if you have an NVidia GPU. Here's a post where we describe this process and ask for additional details so we can resolve this for others.

A friend recommended this and surprisingly I could watch the videos so apparently my issue is a Flash problem.
Try this test:
Try this, www.youtube.com/html5 and click 'Join the html5 trial' and see if you can watch videos then. If you can, it's a flash issue. If not, I have no idea.
If it's flash, I would upgrade FF to 5.0. I believe it uses built in flash, much like Chrome does.

Problem viewing videos in Safari

I used to use Chrome all the time but have read using Safari could increase my battery’s life before its next charge. When using chrome and viewing videos in YouTube and Facebook I had no problems but since I started using Safari it has been saying I am missing a plugin. I presume this is Flash player. I am reluctant to download Flash because of possible increased CPU usage and battery drain and all apple aps are designed to use HTML5, so I was wondering if there is another way of allowing videos to play within the webpage?

You're correct to avoid Flash when practical.
Flash is being phased out by most sites that use it in favor of HTML5 page code. That is sites that rely heavily on video and not the millions of Flash based ads.
But if the page is coded to use Flash then without the plug-in you can't view it. Doesn't matter how much you don't want Flash to be installed. Many files will not be converted to HTML5 code.

E71 - Cannot view Video streams from YouTube

i recently picked up the E71, great phone, must say.
However, i have a concern...
I tried browsing YouTube & MetaCafe using my WiFi & GPRS connection to view videos of youtube and metacafe.
The problem however is, once I click a Video thumbnail on the browser, it loads the Real Player as default. However, once the video is buffered 100%, it only plays out the Audio (sound). The Video simply doesn't show up. the RM player simply displays the loading screen.
Even if I save this video post its audio only playback and view try viewing it offline, the same result, only Audio play.
Can someone please help??

You don't indicate which version of Panther you are using. TubeSock for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

No Audio in a video published on Youtube, and created with QT10.

I have created a screencast with QT10, and in my Macbook Air is perfect. HD quality also with perfect audio. after that i publish the video on Youtube, and with my surprise i see the screencast but i don't ear nothing.

I am having the same problem. I can upload a screen capture video in .mov format to YouTube using the Upload button on YouTube's site. The video is OK, but there is no audio. If I upload through QuickTime's Share menu, there is only a partial upload. There is both video and audio, but only about half of the file gets uploaded. Why is this happening?
