Follow these instructions to remotely remove Find My iPhone from your device:
Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then follow these steps:
Sign in to iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to your account, then select the device to be removed.
Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device is erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.

    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • Problem using iTunes restore to transfer library to new PC

I have used iTunes 8 to back up my entire library to 5 DVDs following the instructions at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382
When I insert the DVDs in my new PC I get the option in iTunes to restore from the DVD's - which I do. However about 50% of my music is missing after restoring from the 5 DVDs - also none of the Playlists are restored.
Any ideas on what is hapenning here?

    OK so some more detail.
As I restore from each DVDs it goes fine for while - but eventually a dialog pops up saying that I do not have enough privileges to write to C drive. It happens at a different place each time. When it happens it stops copying from that DVD and asks for the next one. I have checked and I have write privileges for the music and library folders. Any ideas?

  • HT201210 Had a message to say my iphone needed plugging in to itunes, did this but then couldn't even turn it on (apple symbol on my screen) trying to restore to factory settings but keep getting error (16) don't know what to do now :(

Had message on my iphone 4 this morning that I needed to plug it into itunes. Did this but could only get a blank screen with apple symbol on it. Tried to do a system restore but keep getting the message that it couldn't finish restoring

    Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds.  Ignore the swipe to turn off message.

  • Having problems getting itunes onto ipod, but they took my $$

i recently bought my daughter a 3rd generation nano ipod for her 12th birthday. The first night she had it she used her itunes gift card and successfully downloaded 13 songs. The next night she proceeded to do the same thing, this time 15 songs. The money came off the card, but the music didn't go on the ipod. She did everything exactly as she had the previous night. I attempted to contact itunes, they stated it would automatically download the missing songs when the connection was made. HA HA...still don't have them...any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is the music on the computer in iTunes?

  • Since I upgraded to 7.01 (linux xubuntu) firefox seems to crash but only when on pages that have something to do with Flash. I purged flash and reinstalled and this seemed to fix it, but it's happening again now. Is there something I can do to fix this?

    I have Linux Xubuntu.
I had 11.04, but upgraded to 11.10.'''bold text'''
I never had a problem with firefox until I upgraded to firefox 7. I've always made changes to about:config, and have gone through my changes and none are related to this.
I've just checked about:crashes and I've had 34 crashes since upgrading on 11.10.11
I seemed to fix it on the 13th, as it didn't crash until the 17th, and this was done through purging flash, and then reinstalling the necessary packages.

I fixed this problem by turning off hardware acceleration. At the time I also downgraded my flash to 10 (instead of 11).
This option isn't available any more. But turning off hardware acceleration has seemed to fix it.

  • I used to have iPhone 4 and now I have an iPhone 5S iCloud restored everything but whatsapp and now I can install it as it says it's already installed but I can't find the icon anywhere and I have searched the phone but uselessly !!? Please help I need it

I can't uninstall whatsapp as I can't find the icon anywhere

    Did you try:
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
If so then could be a hardware problem sinc it also says:
If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

  • HT201274 how to restore my iphone when my phone cant turn on

To move the folder back you need to access:
    \Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
And insert the folder back to it, iTunes will automatically recognise it

  • Moved itunes to external hard drive and now cant import music

I am unable to import any CDs to my itunes, and my itunes does not seem to recoginze my ipod either. I get an error message that reads "error occurred while converting the file...(name of CD).... The required file cannot be found." I think the problem may lie in that I recently transferred my itunes folder onto an external harddrive to save room on my internal hard-drive. In doing so, I inadvertently moved the itunes library folder to the recycle bin, in addition to the itunes music folder. I recovered it and it seems I only lost my playlists, but I'm wondering if there was something else lost in the transfer that now prevents me from importing any data.

Try this -> iTunes Track CPR v1.3

  • Copied Itunes from Win to Mac and now cant see anything in Mac Itunes

Followed the whole process of copying my itunes (v7) from windows xp to my ipod, and then to my mac (itunes v7).... but now I cant see any music in my mac itunes... help!! been researching this for hours and cant find an answer...

    Hello,
    try the following:
    1. I assume your ipod is in windows format
    2. get Senuti - http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/ this software can copy songs from an ipod back onto a computer. It doesn't matter which format the ipod is
    3. follow the instructions on Senuti. To copy the songs over to you computer just select all of them in Senute and press the green "transfer" arrow.
    4. I have done this 2 days ago and it works perfectly
    5. After all the formating don't forget to reformat the ipod to macformat in case you want to use it with this machine

  • SMB Guest Access allowed but greyed out so cant turn it off

    Hi guys
I have recently installed 10.6 snow leopard server to setup as a file server. It will be host to a mix of mac and windows clients.
I have installed and setup SMB service:
    Role: Primary Domain Controller
By default, Allow Guest Access is ticked and greyed out. I want to disable it but I can click the box??
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Rik.

I was in the same boat. Found the answer in Terminal (I'm assuming you know what you're doing there):
You can verify the settings by typing (NOTE: the serveradmin command must be run as root):
              serveradmin settings smb
    Look for a line reading:
smb:map to guest = "Bad User"
This indicates Guest Access is ON.
To disable guest access in SMB:
serveradmin settings smb:map to guest = "Never"
I had to quit and reopen the Server Admin app before the change showed in the GUI.
