Problem when deploying EAR
I am getting the following exception stack dump when deploying to version 10.1.2.0.2 App Server. This is on Solaris 10. The EAR file is one previously deployed successfully on an older box. I still can look at the old box for some comparison but stiil can't identify my problem. The data source is one that has also been working fine. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Here's my exception dump:

hi user620270
You write : "The data source is one that has also been working fine.".
Where was it working fine, on "version 10.1.2.0.2 App Server" or "on an older box"?
If it was on "version 10.1.2.0.2 App Server", how did you verify that?

Facing Problem in Deploying EAR for Client Java Proxy.
Hi All,
I am facing problems in deploying EAR in PI/XI server.
The scenario is Client Java Proxy to SAP
. I have followed the the pdf-how to create java proxies in 3.0. Using that I have created the EJB module and it archive.
Finally created the EAR without errors. But while deploying the same in PI server, it throws the following error. Please do help me out in providing any inputs on the same.
Deploy trace is seen below:-

Regards,
DhanaHi,
Thanks for your input..
I have also opend the EAR as ZIP file and deleted the existing listing libaries
apart from the actual implementing Jar and META-INF folder.
I have tried deploying the Jar for the second time, it is throwing the same error.
What I did is...Once the EAR is created, I went to Resource perspective in NWDS and copied the EAR from the EAR project and used the same for deployment.
Is there is anything else to be modified or deleted before deployement?

Error when deploying ear with war module.
Can somebody help me with a problem? This problem is realy strange.
I have three projects: ordinary project (jar project), war project and ear project.
The war project uses classes form jar project and it is a part of ear project.
There is an abstract class in jar:
public abstract class MyDataTable {
public abstract String method1();
public abstract String method2();
//And some others abstract methods
Class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable class:
public class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable {
private ResultSet rs;
public MyResultSetTable(ResultSet resSet) {
rs = resSet;
//Implementation of abstract methods
In jar there is another class MyDataPacket, which performs transformation between MyDataTable and XML document (Delphi data packet):
public class MyDataPacket {
public static String tableToXML(MyDataTable table) {/Implementation}
public static MyDataTable xmlToTable(String xmlSource) {/Implementation}
In war there is a simple Web service which interact with clients by means of the data packets:
@WebService
public class MyWebService {
@WebMethod
public String myMethod(){
//Creating connection and opening ResultSet rs
MyDataTable t = new MyResultSetTable(rs);
return MyDataPacket.tableToXML(t);
This war application belongs to Enterprise Application (ear project). I use Sun Java System
Application Server Platform Edition 9.0_01 (build b02-p01). When I deploy ear into server an
error occurs:
Exception occured in J2EEC Phase
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jarSource/MyDataTable
at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0(Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredMethods(Class.java:2395)
at java.lang.Class.privateGetPublicMethods(Class.java:2519)
at java.lang.Class.getMethods(Class.java:1406)
When I change abstract class MyDataTable on MyResultSetTable in static method
tableToXML, the error disappears. I think that the problem is that I use abstract
class in this method. Please, can somebody explanes me this situation.
PS: Sorry for my bad English. I jast start to study this language.
PSS: You can copy-past these classes for simple testing this misunderstanding:
jar:
public abstract class MyDataTable {
public abstract String method1() throws Exception;
public abstract String method2() throws Exception;
public class MyResultSetTable extends MyDataTable{
public String method1() throws Exception {return "method1";}
public String method2() throws Exception {return "method2";}
public class MyDataPacket {
public static String tableToXML(MyDataTable t) {return "tableToXML";}
war:
import jarSource.MyDataPacket;
import jarSource.MyDataTable;
import jarSource.MyResultSetTable;
import javax.jws.WebMethod;
import javax.jws.WebService;
@WebService()
public class MyView {
@WebMethod
public String myMethod1(){
MyDataTable t = new MyResultSetTable();
return MyDataPacket.tableToXML(t);
ear: Adding war to ear.I beleive this is a classpath problem, namely the classespath does not exist for the .jar file when the .war is trying to access the files. I would think if the .jar file is in WEB-INF/classes in your .war your error would go away. If you are placing the .jar in the root of the .ear then you must set the classpath.

p.s. i seen same problem in community.oracle.com/thread/2577403 , but it happen in "war", not "ear", and seems successfully patched with patch №17424706Hi,
It looks like there is patch exists for this issue.
Patch 17198187
Please try to download from the MOS or try to open a ticket with support.

Olivier MARTINIf you're using OC4J standalone, use the latest available OC4J, 10.1.3.3.
If you're using a manage OC4J, ie. Application Server, upgrade to the latest available version and upgrade your JDK. The provided JDK might be outdated.

Sessions problem when deploying to AS 10g (10.1.2.0.2)
Hello,
I have a very simple Web Application where I have isolated an issue I have found. The application works fine when executed in JDeveloper 10g (10.1.2.2) but it does not work when deployed in the AS 10g (10.1.2.0.2). My Platform is Windows XP Professional x64.
The application has been created in JDeveloper (New >> Web Project) and contains:
- a simple jsp page (main.jsp) displaying a dummy message,
- a simple filter class (authFilter.java) which only has the following code in the doFilter method:
HttpServletRequest hreq = (HttpServletRequest)request;
System.out.println("*** session id = " + hreq.getSession().getId());
System.out.println("*** requested session id = " + hreq.getRequestedSessionId());
- a web deployment descriptor (web.xml) where the reference to the filter has been added:
<filter>
<filter-name>Filter1</filter-name>
<filter-class>myfilters.authFilter</filter-class>
</filter>
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>Filter1</filter-name>
<url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
When running this inside JDeveloper, the output is the following:
08/12/09 17:54:03 *** session id = ac1663b9231c2936edded7df423f9161c223ee0d4246

08/12/09 17:54:10 *** requested session id = ac1663b9231c2936edded7df423f9161c223ee0d4246
Each time I reload the page in the browser I get two messages where the session id and the requested session id are equal and the same.
However, when running the application inside the AS, the output is the following (taken from the opmn/logs/OC4J~my_component~default_island~1):

That is, each time the page is reloaded, a new session is created.
This problem is actually blocking me since I would like to use the session to store some data used for authentication in the filter (dynamic credentials). As a new session is being created for each access, the data stored in the session is lost and users cannot log on the application.
Thank you in advance,
Jorge.

Platform information added.It couldn't be such difficult.
I have the jar's, the drivers in, the jdbc url connection as
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:[USERNAME/PASSWORD]@IP:PORT:SID"/>
Also I can connect via sqlplus with this string conn.
The main error I get is
"Cannot lookup jdbc datasource.
The process domain was unable to lookup the TX datasource "jdbc/BPELServerDataSource"." -

It seems it is looking for the file; it is in the specified path so I cannot figure out what's wrong. No reference about the problem found over internet. Same web service deploys without problem on Tomcat, but by requirement, needed to deploy onto Weblogic 10g or above. Any help?
Thanks in advance.how did you configured this ws-policy file?
are you using any @Policy annotations?

Invalid URL Pattern exception when deploying ear file
Hi,
I encountered some problem during deploying an ear file into SJSAS PE. This ear file has successfully been deployed into WebLogic Server and works fine.
The error message is as follows:
Deploying application in domain failed; Error loading deployment descriptors for module [wsgServerRel1_0] -- Invalid URL Pattern: [pfk/PfkMainServlet] Error loading deployment descriptors for module [wsgServerRel1_0] -- Invalid URL Pattern: [pfk/PfkMainServlet] The following is the relevant part regarding URL pattern:

</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>PfkMainServlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>pfk/PfkMainServlet</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>What else I need to do to make it work?
Regards,
XinjunYou have an error in your url-pattern. A url-pattern must either begin with a slash ("/") for the exact match or directory match or it could begin an asteric("*") for the extension match(refer to the servlet spec).
In your case it should be something like:
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>PfkMainServlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/pfk/PfkMainServlet</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
or
<servlet-mapping>

Big problems when deploying cs6 via Jamf Casper
Hi Everyone, Has anyone else come accross a similare issue?
I manage casper for a large organisation and we are trying to roll out cs6 to the mac users.
There are 3 flavours of cs6 being pushed out Design &Web Premium, Master collection and photoshop extended. All macs are on 10.6.8 and a small handfull are on Lion. All macs have at least the cs5.5 version of this product installed, some also still have the cs4 version ( kept for backwards compatible work)
I prepared the packages with AEMEE and uploaded both the install and uninstall for each flavour.
When deploying design and web premium I have no issues it runs smooth and installs every time. I do this via a policy using the every15 trigger.
When I deploy master collection or photoshop extended I get mixed results. On some machines it runs fine and installs but on most it fails. Casper gets to 97% then waits then fails.
I get the following log from the install.
/usr/sbin/jamf is version 8.52

I have tried using afp not http and have made sure in the aemee package that ignor conflicts is checked and air installers is diabled. The box in casper admin for this must be installed to the boot volume at imaging time is also checked.
On the problem machines I have tried running the aemee packages locally and they fail as well.
Im very confused by it all and at the stage of pulling my hair out ( whats left of it!)
Sorry for the long post, I thought more info would be better
DanielDaniel,
I hope I have replied before you have pulled all your hair out
Can you supply us with the logs from the client machine ? There is two I would like to see <product_name><time_stamp>.log which can be found in
/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/
and also
oobelib.log Location /tmp
You can mail me at [email protected]

Oracle.mds.core.MetadataNotFoundException when deploying EAR into local WLS
Hi all,
I tried to search the forum and read this: How to get rid of MDS I checked the domain path: C:\JDev11g_Home\system11.1.1.4.37.59.23\DefaultDomain, no space in the path. I searched this file it complains "adf-config.xml", couldn't find such file in my application at all. (My app is migrated from 10g to 11g using Trinidad.) I am using JDEV 11.1.14.0 and WLS 10.
Also, I tried these 2 scenarios when creating the EAR file: include / exclude these 2 jars: mdsrt.jar & oramds.jar, (Though I don't think this is the cause since it doesn't complain ClassNotFoundException.) same deployment error.
Below is the console output when deploying the EAR:

ShawnYes, I found this file in that folder. But, I checked the EAR file which is created from ant script such that there's no such adf-config.xml file at all anywhere in the EAR file inlcuding within the WAR file of the EAR. I also check another EAR file (of another application) and didn't see such adf-config.xml file either, but that EAR file is able to be deployed successfully in the local WLS. Both applications are migrated from 10g to 11g. I checked the other application for the build script and these 2 MDS jars are not used at all. I tried to remove these 2 MDS jars from the EAR file, but still same MDS-00013 error. Why will this occur in one app, but not in another app? Is there something I am missing?

NoClassDefFoundError when deploying ear
Hello,
I am deploying an ear using MyEclipse. In the ear under the META-INF dir is the application.xml. The application.xml has a reference to the jar which has the class that is not found when deploying and the jar is in the ear.
<module>
<java>cdtpojo.jar</java>
</module>
Any ideas what I am doing wrong. This is being deployed to the 8.1 SP4 platform.
JoelHi werginz ,
did you copy the jar files under the app/lib dir and add them to ejb manifest file ?

Error when deploying ear to MAS managed AS 11g.
I posted this on General, but, I guess this is the right forum for this.
I used "asctl deployApp ..." to deploy ear to MAS mode AS11g and encountered a following error.
Connected to:
Oracle Fusion Middleware Administration Server Release 11.1.1.0.0
MAS Transaction started.
MAS Transaction rolledback.
MAS-0416: Management Exception.
Cause:
Java heap space
Is there any documents showing reason/solution for the error ?
If you can give an answer, that'll be great.
Thanks,
IncheolYes, my EAR has been deployed on WLS8.1.6 and works fine...
Yes, i found com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.servlet.WebappContextListener on my web.xml
Ok my first run was giving me this:
<Mar 20, 2010 3:00:05 PM ICT> <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101163> <Could not load user defined listener: com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.servlet.WebappCont

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:248)

Truncated. see log file for complete stacktrace
And then I added my knex.jar and log4j.jar (on newly created domain on WLS10.3.2)...Thus giving me error on the first post....something like
<Mar 20, 2010 3:09:25 PM ICT> <Warning> <HTTP> <BEA-101162> <User defined listener com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.servlet.WebappContextListener fa

So what is the solution?

ChaitanyaI removed the jar files from /lib/ext and putted el-api.jar by myself in /lib directory. Now I can deploy my application as EAR file without problems but when I try to deploy it directly through JDeveloper the problem is the same:
[#|2013-08-22T09:43:22.507+0200|SEVERE|glassfish3.1.2|org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase|_ThreadID=98;_ThreadName=Thread-2;|ContainerBase.addChild: start:
org.apache.catalina.LifecycleException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:oracle.adf.share.glassfish.listener.ADFGlassFishAppLifeCycleListener
I do understand that I should have this JAR but I do not know where to find it and where to put then.
Can you help in this point? Thanks
