I facing this error when i installed my application :-

Problem when Creating Project (Composite Application Services) in NWDS

I've seen a few posts regarding this but I don't feel as if any real solution was given.
I just installed Netweaver Developer Studio (7.0.15) with the current JDK/JRE (1.6.0_07). When trying to create a new Composite Application Services project within the Studio, using the new project wizard, I get an error: Problem when Creating Project.
I get the EJB Module and Dictionary to create within my navigator with no problems, however, during the creation of the metadata, the error occurs. I do have the metadata folder appear within the navigator, but nothing in it. None of the other three items are created.
I have tried the attempt at deleting the metadata folder within my workspace directory and trying again but the same exact result occurs.
Is there any other solution out there for this problem besides attempting to find older versions of NWDS, etc. that are more "stable"?

Very simple but effective solution.
I had tried uninstalling / re-installing NWDS with no effect but uninstalling / re-installing NWDS AND all java related products on my machine did work.
Note: For anyone else with this issue in the future. I installed the Java SDK / JRE 1.4.2_18 with NWDS 7.0.15 in case this is also a possible issue with versions.

The problem when i install SES 10.1.3

I install ORACLE SES 10.1.3 in virtual machine.
The physical os is WINDOW 2003 SERVER,the vmware version is VMWARE GSX SERVER V3.1,and the vm os is win 2000 server.

I guess you were installing SES 10.1.3.0 on SOA Suite 10.1.3.1. I met this exact problem. This error is thrown at the stage to deploy edge application.
If installing SES 10.1.3.1 on SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, the application will be deployed successfully, but it will fail at the stage to configure JNDI name for the datasource. The reason is just what mentioned by tomaszhaase. But we can finish the installation wizard and manually configure the datasource in Enterprise Control.

Can I use sqlplus to install apex application

I need to script the install of some APEX apps, so like to know if it is possible to use sqlplus to install the application, images and themes?

When you export a workspace from within APEX it also creates a SQL plus script. You can run this in SQL*PLUS, but you need to be logged in as the APEX database user to run that one and it must be done (obviously) before you run the create application scripts.

Anyone having problems when they installed snitch

I was in the process of installing iWork 9 but was told to install SNITCH first. When I installed SNITCH my CPU indicated to restart. When I restarted my CPU the gray screen came up with prohibitory sign and the fan ran continues. I needed to install iMovie 9 so I can download photos and movies from my SONY camcorder. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Little Snitch is great protection for me, but it has no need/connection to iWork or anything else.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

UI problem when run java swing application on MAC OSX

Dialog box is not properly visible in MAC means ita size increses.
its size incresed and and some content or buttons on that dialog are not fully visible.
I can only see partial message or button.

ORA-604 when connecting to apex application

Hello,
We have a production server with apex 3.1 + database 10.2.0.1 64 bit + oracle http server. We wanted to move OHS to a different server.
I have installed a standalone OHS from the oracle 10g companion CD on OEL 5 32bit and copied dads.conf from the production server.
Now when i try to get to the application from the new server by accessing /pls/mdok application I get:
"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. "
and in the error log:

What could be wrong? Does it matter that my new http server is 32 bit and the database server is 64bit?

Strange error installing apex application

I have downloaded and installed the sample application : CSV File Upload Tool on an Apex 4.0 environment. From:

Installation went well so we decided to have this as our starting base for our csv upload file tool.
Character set is : Unicode UTF-8
But when we wanted to install it on our test environment we got the following error: (we're installing with SQLPlus).

Problem solved seemed that apex exported for all the pages with updatable columns he made duplicate updatable columns. So removed them from the export script and now it's all ok. Brings up the question tho why apex made duplicate updatable columns :S.

However, after only display wait and never show a window of the OUI.
What can I do?

Not sure what versions you are installing and installing on, but here is a Metalink note with a similar issue. It's kind of old and for Oracle 8i, but matches your stated issue with the OUI, so it might be worth checking out the patches it mentions:

Oracle Installation of 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 does not work correctly on Redhat 7.1
(glibc 2.2 and above) There are two known issues:
1. The initial problem is that the Oracle Universal Installer does not start
(although runInstaller has started and the jre is running the OUI never actually
starts and displays the OUI window)
2. The next problem will be that the relink phase of the installation fails due
to Bug 1467074. If the fix for this bug is not applied, none of the Oracle
executables will run and you will not be able to create a database during the
installation.
Solution to Issue 1:
To solve the initial problem of the OUI not starting you need to install the
following patches available via the Redhat 7.1 CDs or from www.redhat.com
compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2.i386.rpm (CD1)
compat-egcs-6.2-1.1.2.14.i386.rpm (CD2)
compat-libs-6.2-3.i386.rpm (CD2)
The following commands can be run to check if the patches have been applied
(the expected output is listed below the command) :
# rpm -q compat-egcs
compat-egcs-6.2-1.1.2.14
# rpm -q compat-glibc
compat-glibc-6.2-2.1.3.2
# rpm -q compat-libs
In a shell window, set the environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL as follows :
$ export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
In the same shell window as used in the previous step, run the system glibc
environment script as follows :
$ . /usr/i386-glibc21-linux/bin/i386-glibc21-linux-env.sh
The OUI should now start correctly.
(If the OUI still does not start, you will need to apply the patch for Bug 2062423.
Please refer to the README.txt associated with the patch for more information.)
Solution to Issue 2:
At the first relinking error,
Apply the glibc patch for Bug 1467074. Follow the instructions in the bug readme.txt to apply the patch.
Apply the interMedia Text patch - patch for Bug 2062512. Follow the instructions in the bug readme.txt
to apply the patch.
Click on "Retry" on the installer (to re-try the relinking).
II. O/S Upgrade customers/installations :
This is for customers who already have 8.1.7.0.1 installed on say RedHat 7.0 and
upgrade their O/S to RedHat 7.1. When the O/S upgrade completes, if the
OUI/Assistants no longer work:
o Apply the JRE/OUI patch - patch for Bug 2062423 (follow the instructions in
the bug readme to apply the patch) on top of the 8.1.7.0.1 installation. The
patch would upgrade the JRE of the installation.
o Apply the Context patch - patch for Bug 2062512 (follow the instructions in
the bug readme to apply the patch).
o The OUI/Assistants should work fine now.
III. Patchset application
If the OUI cannot be launched from the Installation CD or the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory:
o Apply the JRE/OUI patch - patch for Bug 2062423 (follow the instructions in
the bug readme to apply the patch) on top of the 8.1.7.0.1 installation. The
patch would upgrade the JRE of the installation. The installer from the
install-home can then be used to apply any patchsets.
o The glibc patch has to be applied during every patchset application as the
patchset may overwrite the relinking makefiles.
IV. Instructions to download the patches
1. Log in to MetaLink and in the menu, click on the button "Patches".
2. On the "Patch Download" screen, enter the "Patch Number" (2062423, 1467074 or 2062512)
and leave all other fields with the default values, and click on the
"Submit" button.
3. Click on the "Download" button.
4. Install the patch by following the instructions in the readme.txt file.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the second patch.
