Problem when re-entering variables in report

hi all,
I have a very strange problem...
I'm using a webtemplate with 3 different queries in it.
One of these queries is a report that shows exchange rates for a certain period... This period is entered in the variable screen upon starting the report
Using a variable "CE_PERIOD" this period is entered as e.g. "006.2006". After an initial run, everything is fine, exchange rates are shown with and for this period.
Then when I click "variables entry" on the context menu of the rerport, I can re-enter this CE_PERIOD... when I change it to e.g. "004.2006" and execute the report, nothing is changed in my currency query... the period still mentions 006.2006 instead of the newly entered 004.2006
by the way, something that may help: the exchange rates are only shown when I click on a button we created for this, it then shows the exchange rates in the template, otherwise it doesn't... but like I said. After first run it works perfect, after changing the period variable, the exchange rate query is not affected?

Coercion problem when using Shared Variable

I have a curious coercion problem when using Shared Variables. I want to share the state of a State Machine, which is an enum saved as a control (typedef) called TYPE State (see attached). I create a shared variable called State and define it as a Custom Control, using the just-mentioned typedef. So far, so good. I've attached three simple VIs -- the first one, Init State, simply wires a constant to the input of the Shared Variable to initialize it -- the wired constant is, of course, defined by the typedef. However, the Get State and Set State, meant to wire an indicator (for reading the state) or control (for setting it), develop coercion dots when wired into the Shared Variable. Why? How do I get rid of the dot? [I suppose I could abandon my typedef and custom control, but the beauty of typedefs and custom controls is that it "enforces" rules, lets you use enums for clarity, keeps the code "honest", etc. -- I'd hate to give that up just to get rid of a dot!].
On a related note, the code seems to work. This is much too simplistic to do anything, but if you open Set State and Get State, set the state to anything, run it (it immediately stops, of course), then run Get State, you'll see the chosen state appear in the indicator. So it does appear to work. The "error" (coercion dot) may, I suppose, be a "bug" in Labview because it can't figure out the mapping of the (very simple!) Custom Control, but if so, I hope it gets fixed quickly!

Hello Bob,
I am also seeing this behavior, I will escalate this question to our LabVIEW developers and post again here no later than next Tuesday, November 27th as National Instruments will be closed for the remainder of this week.
If this issue does turn into a product suggestion, I would suspect the workaround would to live with the coersion dot for the time being.

You seem to have some confusion between java and javascript, and when they run.
Java code runs only on the server, and produces an HTML page.
Javascript code runs on the client.
The two can not communicate. Specific to your example you seem to think that the java code will be executed by your onChange event.
This is not the case.
In order to run java code again you have make a request by submitting the form, or clicking on a link.

Authorization problem when displaying icons in BW Report

Hi All
I have the following problem when display BW Report as iView: The report data itself is displayed perfectly but to display the icons (like DrillDown arrows, Hierarhy level open arrows) the Windows login message "Connect to <my BW server.com>:8000" appears and I have to enter BW user name and password explicitly. The system for BW is defined, the user is mapped, UIDPW method is used. Again, the report data itself is displayed, the problem is only with icons. I can see that the path to icons is like:

How could I rid of this authorization request?

Problem when editting a row in report

Hello,
I have a problem when I want to edit a row in a report.
I have created a form with report, and now whe I click on the edit icon on the report page, it navigates me to the form page but wothout the row data, so it let me create a new row..
What should I do??

After editing the row go to session vales in the form page and see if the hidden primary key column has a value set ?
Did you do any changes to the form or report after creating "From on a table with report" ?
If you can recreate the issue in http://apex.oracle.com i can look into it.

IPhone 4S Problem - When I enter Camera Mode, feint purple lines begin converging into my photo and LED won't turn on, only during videos! Please Help?

I am in need of dire assistance! Bought a new iPhone 4S 64GB Black through my Carrier, Optus in Australia.
Everything seems to be working perfectly, besides my camera. When i enter it, a feint purple begins to appear with my photos, and the LED flashlight wont appear when i take photos with front camera, it will only turn on when i activate an LED flashlight app and when i turn on flash when i record videos!
Does anyone else have this issue? If so, can someone tell me if its a hardware issue and needs to be replaced, or it can be updated and fixed with a software update?

I believe your only option is making an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby where it can be determined if your iPhone can be restored with iTunes there.
If not, more than likely there is a hardware problem with no way to know what the problem is without being diagnostically tested.
Apple doesn't offer a menu of repair services for the iPhone except for replacing the battery for an iPhone that is no longer under warranty. Apple offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price ($199 plus tax) which doesn't require signing a new two year contract with AT&T.

Problem when pressing ENTER for InputText object text

Hi,
I encountered a very strane anomly when pressing ENTER for
InputText object text.
1) I set the InputText object for having maxium 2 characters.
2) I set the InputText object for getting only numbers using
.restrict= "0-9";
Now, say the InputText is now empty.
1) Say I press the number "7" - the text line is now
containing - "7".
2) Now, I press ENTER - the "7" is cleared from the text
line.
Now, while the text box is clear, we think that we can insert
2 numbers.. but not!
3) I press a number, say "9" - the line contains "9"
4) I try to insert another number... but I can't!!
In order to be able to insert two numbers, I have to press
twice the Backspace in order to clear the "9" , and another ghost
note (the ENTER?).
How can I solve this anomaly?

Sy-ucomm problem when hitting enter button

Hello all,
I am implementing a user exit for CO11N screen and i want the control after hitting save button so i made a control for sy-ucomm and i gave an error message. But when i hit enter button after this error message, sy-ucomm still equal to BU so it gives error message again. How can i prevent this?

Im not creating blank message
i use the a term but the problem is, when i first hit save button and see the error message,than i hit enter button to pass the message and make the input fields editable again. But sy-ucomm is still equal to BU so it show the message again and again and i cant return to normal input screen. And if i make the message type 'S' i cant block the saving process.
I have to option first i will use type E message but i have to get over the problem above, or i will use type 'S' message but i have to stop the transaction after this message. I used type E like S or type S like E. They didnt work.

CL_GUI_ALV_GRID Problems when using enter and f4 in one ALV

i have the following problem:
I Use a ALV, which has a column MATNR. The ALV provides the standard search help for this field automatically. so far so good. BUT i also need to read additional data, such as GLD, Material shortext etc, when the users presses the Enter Key.
Here is my coding:

i think the problem has to do with the fact, that the alv runs throug my enter event, when pressing f4.

Finding problem when displaying a Interative list report

Hi All,
    I have a req where i have to display some records in my detail list after clicking on the primary list.
    On th basis list i have a user command 'A' and some of records are being displayed on my screen.
    Here i have to click on any one of the available checkbox and press the user command A.
    Then some details are displayed in secondary list when i click back on the BACK button the checkbox which i have checked must be cleared.
But that is not happening in my program.
I tried using clear and refresh statements but it is not clearing my checkbox.
Kindly let me know how to clear the checkbox .

Problem when converting to pdf - Oracle Reports 6i

Hi all,
Im using Oracle reports 6i and Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit Production.
In My database NLS_LANGUAGE is GREEK & NLS_CHARACTERSET is EL8MSWIN1253.
So i have greek language texts in the database..
When run the report, in the previewer the greek letters are fine,
But when i try to convert it into PDF, all the greek letters are not supported and letters are unknown characters.
i tried following,
SRW.DO_SQL ('ALTER SESSION SET NLS_LANGUAGE = '||'''GREEK''')
But still same problem....
Any workaround on this.. ?

I have set the greek language in the registry already, but still same problem persists.
In the Registry, i have the following value same as i have in the database nls parameters,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE ->ORACLE -> ORACLE_HOMES -> NLS_LANG -> AMERICAN_AMERICA.EL8MSWIN1253.
EL8MSWIN1253 is GREEK.
I could store greek values in the database and i can retrive it in the forms and reports as well.
My only problem is, when i try to convert the report into pdf, it is unknown characters.
And also i tried with modifying the file uifont.ali. But still no result...
Any other try is there to overcome ?

Poor performance when using bind variable in report

I have a report that takes 1 second to run if i 'hardcode' a particular value into the where clause of the report. However, if i now replace the hardcoded value with a bind variable and set the default value for the bind variable to be the (previous) hard coded value the report now takes 50 seconds to run instead of 1 second!!
Has anyone else seen this behaviour - any suggestions to workaround this will be gratefully received

HR Custom InfoTypes problem when added to custom Infoset Report for PA

Hi, I am having an issue with the adhoc query /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. I added the custom infotypes 9* I created to this standard infoset by using SQ02 and adding these by going into the menu path Edit--> Change InfoType selection. I regenerated this object and attached to a transport. The query runs fine in the DEV system where I made the change...I can choose fields for output or selection from the standard infotypes and custom infotypes as expected. I migrated this transport to the test system and now when I try to do the same thing I get an error when I try to click on any object in my custom infotype and some of the standard infotype. I tried regenerating and resending to the test system and still have the same issue. This is the error in the dump:

It appears the TEXT488 is the value in the fcat_wa-fieldname and I do not see this in the data_wa.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem or what I might try or look at to see what the difference is between the DEV system (where it works ok) the the Test system where it is giving me an error?

After further investigation I found the problem to this was in the generation of the objects. Even though I generated before attaching to a transport and all looked ok, there is some sort of bug causing it to not generate properly so I had to sign on to each environment and generate the object in SQ02 including in Production. After I did this the custom infotypes were accessible in the Infoset.
