Problem when start lightroom 6 on my windows 8.1 notebook

I have a problem when start lightroom 6 on my windows 8.1 notebook, the system says "impossible find input point in _crtCreateSymbolicLinkW in C:\windows\system32\msvcp110.dll", and lightroom 6 terminate. I disinstalled and reinstalled many times but I have always the same error. What is the problem? Thank for the answers.

Download update 4 for Intel x64 or Amd if your notebook have an Amd CPU of Visual studio 2012 and trya again. Before you can controll if the installer install library of visual studio 12 during installation and see if the library missing is on windows\system32.

  • Problem when try to use ACSE+ Windows AD to authenticate two kind of WLAN c

I met a problem when try to use ACSE+ Windows AD to authenticate two kind of WLAN clients:
    1. Background:
We have two WLAN: staff and student, both of them will use PEAP-MSCHAPv2, ACSE will be the Radius server, it will use Windows AD's user database. In AD, they create two groups: staff and student. The testing account for staff is staff1, the testing account for student is student1.
    2. Problem:
If student1 try to associate to staff WLAN, since both staff and student WLAN using the same authentication method, the auth request will be send to AD user database, since student1 is a valid user account in AD, then it will pass the authentication, then it will join the staff WLAN. How to prevent this happen?
    3. Potential solution and its limitation:
    1) Use group mapping in ACSE(Dynamic VLAN Assignment with WLCs based on ACS to Active Directory Group Mapping), but ACS can only support group mapping for those groups that have no more than 500 users. But the student group will definitely exceed 500 users, how to solve it?
    2) Use methods like “Restrict WLAN Access based on SSID with WLC and Cisco Secure ACS”: Configure DNIS with ssid name in NAR of ACSE, but since DNIS/NAR is only configurable in ACSE, don't know if AD support it or not, is there any options in AD like DNIS/NAR in ACSE?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

I think the documentation for ACS states:
ACS can only support group mapping for users who belong to 500 or fewer Windows groups
I read that as, If a user belongs to >500 Windows Group, ACS can't map it. The group can have over 500 users, its just those users can't belong to more than 500 groups.

  • When starting up too many windows open up.

When starting up too many windows open my 2010 Macbook White with upgraded Lion and apparently slows it down. How do I prevent unwanted windows from opening up on startup?

When you shut down your machine, you get a dialog box that asks you to confirm the shutdown.  There is a little check box there that, by default, will re-open all of the applications that were open when you shutdown.  You can uncheck that to prevent those applications from reopening.
I'm guessing that you do not have a bunch of applications set up to automatically start under your user settings.  If doing the above doesn't work, let us know and we'll go through checking for any start programs set to start when you login.

  • Runtime Error when starting Lightroom

I'm currently on day 12 or so of my trial with Lightroom. I've spent quite a few hours getting to know LR by retouching and cataloging over 8 years of photos. So far, aside from a few in-program bugs that I found a way to work around, I've been super-happy with it (especially the powerful keywording/metatagging system: amazing!) and have been really seriously coughing up the huge wad of $$ when the trial's done. But....
For no reason, LR started giving me a Runtime Error when I tried to start it. Something along the lines of "This application requested Runtime to terminate it unusually."
So off to Google I went, where I knew I could probably search that error and fix it like I've done with countless other programs. Unfortunately nothing is working.
    Here are the facts:
--I'm running a fully patched Vista machine.
--LR worked fine earlier this morning. I had 1.4 and didn't perform any upgrades or maintenance to it (that I know of) when it just gave me the error out of the blue today when I tried to start it.
--I tried holding CTRL when I start it, and it still gives the error.
--I tried deleting a .lock file (which did exist) but it still wouldn't start.
--I tried running the "repair" tool in the install...no good.
--I uninstalled LR, d/led it again, and re-installed it. IT WORKED!....one time. I was able to run it, checked to make sure my cataloging was still intact (it was - phew!) and even deleted a folder I didn't want in it. Then I closed it. I tried re-opening it a few hours later and I got the SAME ERROR!
I sure hope someone can help because I'm at my wit's end.

This is disgusting. I've pounded away for over 4 hours and I finally found a workaround. Here's the original post that had my answer:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3c05ac2f
The short of the story: if I put lightroom.exe into Windows XP compatibility mode" it will work. (To do that, for anyone else who comes across this, you just right-click your lightroom icon, click PROPERTIES, and go to the Compatibility tab and check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)")
I've loaded it up half a dozen times and it's still working perfectly as far as I can tell. Hopefully it won't hurt anything keeping it in that mode.
I'm glad this happened early enough into my trial that I'll have ample opportunity to see if it repeats itself. I'm not keen on sinking $300 into software that will give me ulcers as I troubleshoot problems like this.

  • Error Message when starting Lightroom

When I start Lightroom 3.0 I occasionally get the following error message.
My RAW files are read from an external HD that has an automatic spin down "feature" that I can't de-activate. I suspect that may be the source of the problem. Can anyone confirm this or does anyone have the same issue and maybe a sollution?

If spin-down is the problem (which I doubt), you can check this by spinning the drive up before launching Lightroom. Just open the drive in Explorer.
Try starting a fresh catalog, then delete the prefs and presets/templates.

    Marco.
Sorry, this is not a solution to your problem but i am trying to solve the same
    problem for a week now.
I have wl7.0 sp2, 1 admin server, 2 managed servers on the same box. I get the
same error. I know that the default certificate installed provides a hostname
verification of weblogic.com. I turned the hostname verification off, i put in
the Dweblogic.nodemanager.sslHostNameVerificationEnabled=false, i get the same
error when starting the managed server. I went ahead and created my own certificate
for machine called mallik, created my own passphrase, created a new keystore,
made the admin server view the keystore, used the same certificate for both the
admin server and the node manager. It still fails with the same error. I went
ahead and added the machine 'mallik' to nodeManager.hosts file. It fails. I am
totally confused now what needs to be done.
    My nodeManger.hosts looks like this:
    mallik 10.100.10.130
    managedServer1 10.100.10.130
    managedServer2 10.100.10.13

    Greetings Marvin

I found another fix, and I wonder why this one is so uncommon, because it worked like a charm for me.
There is a program called SFC which scans for missing or defective DLL and system files and repairs them. To make it work, you need to run it from the command line in "repair mode" which you can access when booting the pc. Running this program from a normal windows session won't work, because Windows won't have access to all the files.
If you hit F8 while booting, Windows will offer you some options to continue.
Choose REPAIR - don't worry, it won't do anything to your Windows installation until you explicitly opt for it.
Then you can choose your language and you can log in with your account. (Not the $homeusergroup)
Now click on the command-line icon. It will be opened right at c:\windows\system32
You can type in SFC /scannow
This program will search for defective system files and try to repair them. It may also ask for your Windows installation disc, if files are completely missing, but that didn't happen to me.

When started the first time, requests the location and the license key, after entering all data entered within the program access the catalogue who had saved and after checking that everything was right out of lightroom.
When I go back inside me again ask the location, license key... and not open the last catalog.
It is as if you forget the last session, in addition to pressing open catalogs reicientes, only appears that generated by default.
has happened it to someone? How has he fixed it?

The same situation - names are resolved propertly. This issue occurs only on that customer installtion from few days.

I Have configured tomcat set environment and done all the stuff but while starting tomcat
Another DOS window breifly opens and closes, (I can
    not read the message in
that window), and the above window remains open.
I do not get a new window or anything after this. I
    tried opening my browser
and typing http://localhost:8080/ in the address
    line, but I get the
"Cannot find server or DNS Error" from the browser.
    I tried changing the
port to 80 instead of 8080, but that doesn't work
    either.
I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone can help get me
    past this issue.

I would suggest deleting all the log files under tomcat\logs and then try starting it up. When it fails go to the logs folder and look through all the files that were created and see if there is any error message. it should tell you why its not starting properly.

Does anyone has any suggestions why this error happens, I did not changes anything in my installation and also did not deploy any new apps
    Thanks for your help

I still have this problem when I try to login to the EM:
This OC4J is configured to make JMX connections via RMIS and fall back to RMI if the RMIS port is not configured. The RMIS connection on the OC4J instance home on Application Server assoa.locahost is configured but a connection could not be established. The JMX protocol is specified by the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol property in opmn.xml
    Can you help me here?

  • IPC permission problems when starting Listener

I have installed Oracle 8.0.5 on my Redhat 5.2 system.
I am able to start the database instance and access it with SQL
Plus. I am also able to start the listener and get a response
back from the listener using tnsping.
However, when starting the listener I get some error messages
stating that I don't have permissions to access/use the IPC
(sorry, I know little more about IPC other than inter process
communication). I have a user oracle which owns the database and
has a primary group of dba.
Bellow is the output from when i try to run lsnrctl start:
    thanks for your help,
    Federico

Did it say "command completed successfully" "service has 1
handler" ? If so, then it ran fine. As for the root ownership of
certain things: some things need to be setuid root to access
certain OS resources for security purposes. If you see an "s"
where the execute permissions for owner or group, then the
executable most likely is set to run setuid or setgid. In other
words, no matter who invokes that command, the process is run as
    the root user.

  • 10.10.3 - problems when starting up my MacBook Air

Hi, I have a MacBook Air 2013 and I have installed the update to Yosemite 10.10.3. Since then, my Mac is having problems in starting up... in fact, after pressing the start button, my Mac is giving the starting sound and then nothing else. I have to press two more times the start button to start my Mac as normally. Any idea?

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Download and reinstall the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    Alternatively, see:
