Problem when turn on mini Ipad.

I have problem when turn on mini ipad. I have to slice the unlock after it flashing 3 times and not after flashing5 times!!
After the unlock flashing 5 times it will turn off the screen and I have to push any button on my ipad mini to activate the screen to turn on again every time!
Do I have to set something in setting to avoid this situation? It's boring to count the flashing of the unlock 3 times to slice it!!!
My iOS version is already updated but the problem still as the same since I got it on December 2012

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

    Try reset
Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
If no joy, restore backup using iTunes.

  • "Speed bump" problem: when previewing on the iPad, the first page of each new chapter or section sticks and loads slowly.  How can I fix it?

I am building a book with text and photographs in iBooks Author, basing the design on my publisher's layout for the hard copy version.  Whenever I introduce a new section or chapter, I hit a "speed bump" when previewing on the iPad.  As you read, the first page of the new chapter or section is very hard to turn and sticks as it loads.  Within each section the pages flow very easily, but when you reach the next section you hit another speed bump. I have experimented with many possible solutions to no avail.  It does not seem to matter whether the new section has images or just text; the speed bump occurs regardless.

    Joel Pickford wrote:
However, I am finding that using fewer sections with more content in them minimizes the problem (i.e. fewer section-transions means fewer speed bumps).  This is contarary to the support page's suggestion of keeping chapters and sections smaller.  I am not having any problem within each section, even with lots of full page photos.
That recommendation was made, presumably, to reduce the length of the delay for each chapter. More content in the chapter means more delay when changing chapters. Of course, if you have lots of little chapters, the delay can still be annoying because, even if only four or five pages in a chapter, the delay is still noticable. Just pick something that works for your book and don't worry too much about the delay. Your readers will be familiar with it if they've seen more than one IBA book.
Will the choice of color space, s-rgb or Adobe rgb 1998, affect file size?
Should I try to compress them more- say, level 5 or level 4 in Save For Web?
Should I size the images for the iPad 2 instead of the iPad 3 retina display, since there are more 2s out there?
Which color space you use does not affect file size. Apple recommend to use sRGB, so I would stick with that. As to compression and sizing, only you can decide. Try and borrow an iPad 2 to make a judgement at what level of compression and resolution you think the images start too look bad. Your high-rez images for the new iPad will be down-sampled for display on the older models, which will introduce additional artifacts.
For my book, I simply used images at 1024 x 768 resolution. When viewed on a new iPad, they look just fine. The lower resolution is basically unnoticeable (at least for my purposes). You can view a sample of my book here: "Djembe Construction: A Comprehensive Guide". If you think the images there are good enough for your purposes, you could down-size your images to half their resolution, which will reduce file size about around a factor of three.

  • Catalyst & HDMI audio: problem when turning TV off

    Hi everyone,
I've got two PCs with AMD E-350 FPU, one is a laptop running Windows 7 and the other is a nettop running Arch Linux (using Catalyst as a driver for the GPU). On both of them, I'm experiencing a similar problem with sound:
When turning on the computer and the TV, everything works just fine, including sound. However, if I turn off the TV (without disconnecting the HDMI cable) the following happens:
Arch: no sound anymore, even if I turn the TV back on. No visible changes in alsamixer.
Windows: sound through internal speakers. ATI HDMI sound device now shows up as 'Disconnected', even if I turn the TV back on.
Disconnecting the HDMI cable and then inserting it back (while the TV is on again) fixes the problem on both computer, and so does rebooting the computer.
However, even though this seems to not be a Linux-related problem (being etiher a problem with TV's firmware or ATI GPU), I wonder if anyone knows of a more elegant (preferably software, of course ) solution than reconnecting the cable each time I want to turn off my TV and then turn it back on?

I have the same issue in Windows. If I turn-off the TV and turn it back on, there is no sound. Because I have no other sound devices (disabled the others in BIOS setup), the speaker icon shows a red "x". The playback devices screen says HDMI is "unplugged." I have to restart the system or unplug/reconnect the HDMI cord to get sound to come back.

  • Firewire device causing problems when connected to Mini via LaCie ExtHD/Bus

    Hello there..
Just bought LaCie 300GB Ext.HD/Bus(Firewire &USB). It was recognized by my Mini no problem. I have used the firewire connection between The HD and the mini. The problems begin when I try to connect my M-Audio firewire audio interface (it's mains powered, by the way) to one of the firewire bus inputs of the LaCie - then every action gets the dreaded spinning beachball and I have to shut down etc. The connection of this device has even prevented the HD being recognized by my system, in the case where I have tried having it already connected and powered up before switching on and connecting the HD to the Mini.
I've tried other things such as PMU reset, to no lasting avail.
This is the same firewire audio interface that has worked fine for months when plugged directly into the Mini, so why should there be a problem when it's connected to the bus port of the HD?
Now, as a temporary solution, I have changed the connection between the Mini and the HD/Bus from Firewire to USB - this means I can now use the FW port on the Mini to connect my audio interface (as before). The problem with this is that I work alot with video as well as audio, and have learned that it's very advisable to use firewire drives when working on video...but there is only one FW input on my Mini, so if the La Cie HD is using that, there is no port for audio interface to go in...that's why I bought this particular HD - more storage on a FW HD which has extra FW bus ports for such things as audio interfaces!
I hope I've explained the problem OK, thank you in advance for any advice.
    Jimmy

You don't mention which model you have, but this is from the M-Audio Firewire 410 Manual Troubleshooting section:
The FireWire 410 has been designed to give you high performance and professional quality audio. It has been tested under a wide range
of systems and operating conditions. In the real world, however, there is a nearly infinite number of possible operating scenarios, any of
which could affect your system’s performance. Much like owning an automobile, “your mileage may vary.” This section can not begin to
cover all possible issues you may encounter, however we want to give you some suggestions on common problems you may experience.
One thing to avoid is connecting too many devices. The FireWire bus is a dependable, high-speed, high-bandwidth protocol which is ideally
suited for digital audio. Nonetheless, it’s important to remember that audio and multimedia streaming places considerable demands on
your processor and the FireWire bus. Although it is theoretically possible to chain many multiple FireWire devices in series, doing so may
    potentially degrade your audio performance.
I guess this degradation could also affect the Firewire HD. Maybe there is a simple fix, but it sounds like the M-Audio people have been down this road before.

  • I have recently had a problem when turning my iPad on from shutdown, in that it takes at least four attempts to slide my finger across to get the home page. The screen is clean, and when I do eventually get the home page it all works perfectly. Any ideas?

I have a problem getting my IPad to start from shutdown. I get the Apple logo then when it is ready for me to slide my finger across the lower part of the screen to get the home page, it takes at least four attempts. When it does eventually open the home page, all works perfectly well. The screen is clean so I cannot see any reason for this annoying problem. Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Thank you. Colin.

i would reset it, then restore as new

  • Problems When Turning On PC with iPod Connected

This morning I turned on my computer with my iPod Nano connected through a Griffin dock cable. The startup process stalled at the eMachines logo, and the Nano had the Do Not Disconnect screen. I disconnected the cable from the Nano and turned off my computer, then turned it back on. Ever since then my computer has been unable to start up at all. Is there a fix for this problem short of buying a new computer?
    EMachines 3085   Windows XP

It might work if you're streaming from within an app that supports AirPlay while trying to mirror the screen to your external monitor, though I haven't tested that scenario, and it assumes that the audio app will continue to stream in the background. But if you're trying to redirect the audio from the main iPad interface while also showing the screen via a cable, that's almost certainly not going to work.
    Regards.

  • Problem when turning off

Everytime i'm going to turn my macbook pro off for some reason there's a software ( or anything like that ) called ''mirroragent'' and it's probably not virus because i've had that problem since my first or second day with my ''new'' notebook..
can anyone tell or explain these problems to me? it really annoys me when i'm using my duo core mac and it freezes when is going to turn off.. please, help needed here. it's not the memory nor the processor ( i guess ), it's probably something else..

ok, i was going to turn my laptop off and look what i've found, that problem again..
problem with the mirroragent, the only thing that really annoys me in my mac, i'm a newbie with macs but i've tried all kinds of things to fix this problem.. and it's really annoying.. i mean, it's not a big deal, but i've paid a good price for my macbook pro and i have a certain feeling that i've wasted my money buying my laptop because it freezes a little ( nothing comparing to most of computers i ever had ) i know, i know, it's not the point, i just wanted to fix this... if it's possible it's REALLY annoying.

  • W500 problem when turning on

I recently bought a Lenovo W500 which has some problems turning on with just the battery in it.
If i want to turn on the laptop with a fully charged battery(works with my t61 and t60), the system won't turn on at all.
But when i plug in the power adapter and turn it on, and then pull out the powerplug again, the system still works untill the battery goes flat.
I find this a very strange problem, because when the system works, it's rock solid and won't crash at all.
    Background information:
The system had coffee with sugar spilt over it, but the system has not been turned on for a half year since that happened and i fully cleaned out the system today. The most sticky stuff was under the WWAN card indicated with a circle on this picture below (not my system board, i will take pictures of my own board asap). The indication on the left side also had some sticky spill but i could clean that all.
    Link to picture
I already am running the latest BIOS (that should fix the turning on problem according to Dutch Lenovo support...), but that didn't fix anything.
Any idea how to solve this problem? It would be such a big shame having to scrap the system

  • Problem When Starting Mac Mini

Hello, I'm seriously hoping someone can suggest a cure to the problem I'm having with my Mac.
Its just over a year old and for the last couple of months something odd is happening with it. If its been turned off and I turn it on I get the normal start up sound come from inside the Mac and the screen will go white. Now a couple of seconds later it will start to play the start up noise again but only the fist fraction of it. Then again and it repeats until it eventually stops and hangs. Meanwhile the white screen is motionless.
The cure which thankfully works everytime is to hold the power button to force the mac to switch off and then within the next few seconds turn it back on, and it boots no problems.
I was wondering if its a firmware problem or something like that. I've restored the Mac to see if it might have been something on the HDD but thats not made a difference (Restored MacOS with the installation CD's I mean). If you have any ideas please share them also if you need any more information to help me diagnose then please ask.
    Thanks in advance everyone.
    Rob.
I've never treated the mac with anything but the upmost care and I've never opened it up so

Thank you so much for your answers. I tried the PRAM reset...
However I have discovered the cause of the problem. I have 3 external HDD's attached to a USB hub which then leads to my mac. When I power up the mac these all power on and start spinning leaving the MAC repeating itself. When I power down and power the mac back on these disks are already spinning and the Mac doesn't have a problem. The reason I discovered this was because it started to go belly up like normal when I tried to do the PRAM reset and I had to manually switch the machine off at the button because it wasn't doing anything. I disconnected the usb hub and the Mac then successfully completed this reset.
Thinking I had discovered the cause I powered off, took out the plug then tried again. Worked perfectly.
So its the HDD drives. I feel cheeky to ask since you guys have helped already, but any ideas on that front? There are 2 Western Digital HDD's and one ATMT Drive. 2 are FAT32 and one is NTFS (Not much good on Mac I know). Is this a normal problem? Is the Mac trying to boot from the externals?
    Again thanks in advance.

  • When turning Off Restrictions, iPad moves previously restricted apps to the home screen

    I this normal?
I've had the iPad Air for about 2 weeks now... and I'm sure I haev set and disables restrictions about a week ago with no problem....
    But now..
If I restrict apps for age 9+ for example... those apps will be hidden from their folders... which is good and works as it should be.
When I then disable the restrictions it takes the app shortcut out of the folder and leaves it on the home screen!
To test this again I again enabled restrictions on ALL apps and then disabled the restrictions.... and the result was that ALL of my downloaded apps got moved out of their folders and placed on the home screen.
The apps like calendar and face time that come with the iPad were left in their folders.
    What's going on????

Thanks for the help... It's too bad that it works that way.... I have folders for each person in the family and wanted to age-restrict apps when my kids were playing, then disable restrictions whenever I was going to use it.... I guess I'll just have to leave those age restricted apps on the home screen.
    I have submitted feedback.

  • Problem when turn off my Nokia N80

    Hi everybody,
I've a Nokia N80 from Vodafone, i bought it at 4 months ago, since last week when i turn off the mobile it ask me to set the date and time, could you help me what i have to do?
    Huges

Why don't you try setting your clock to auto update. You can do this by going to Clock>Options>Settings, scroll down to Network Operator Time and set it to auto update. The phone should now download the time from the network.
This function is also pretty handy when you travel abroad because your phone automatically sets to the local time.
