Do I need to re-download? Is there a funky setting on my system?
Looked in the forum and used the Adobe Support Advisor. It sent me to log files to look around and all I see is the same info.
Any help would be appreciated!

Unistall any ACR Betas on your system you may have used. Also simply run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstall everything Adobe.

Desperately need help ASAP!!! Issue with installing After effects CS6 trial version

I downloaded the After Effects CS6 trial, but when I tried to run the patch installer, it told me to download adobe app manager. I did so, but when I try and run the patch installer again, it says in app manager that "Update failed. Update could not be applied." Please, I have really important work that I need to do, and I just cant get this thing to work. PLEASE HELP

it says I need to update, but when I click on updates within aam, it just says "you're good! No new updates" Is there somewhere specific I need to go to update? Because the only options I have are all & Updates :/

Problems Installing After Effects CS6

I'm trying to install After Effects CS6 and it gets to 18% and just hangs there, I have tried about 6 times and it still hangs there.

Trouble installing After Effects cs6 on my new Yosemite system.

I then attempted to install all the software from my old computer. Installed Entire cs6 suite, after effects is greyed out.
When i tried to open, i received an error " You can’t use this version of the application “Adobe After Effects CS6” with this version of OS X. You have “Adobe After Effects CS6” 11.0. "
I then read online that there was fix by updating to After Effects to 11.4. Due to the fact that i cant open program to update from within i downloaded update and tried to install via the installer. I acts like it it will start even giving a timeline of how long it will take then closes and says update failed.
It then says you can look at error log, when i do it says " Adobe After Effects CS6 (11.0.4) update Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M2P28 ".
Anyone knows how i can fix this issue and get after effects working? Thanks in advance

There have been a few people having problems getting updates and a few different solutions. It all depends on what's messed up on your machine.
It could be as simple as fixing permissions: fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications
Somewhat advanced, but it worked for somebody: Unable to upgrade to 11.0.1 for AE CS6
You may have to defeat a daemon... Newly installed After Effects CS6 won't launch.
One solution for a different OS and AE version, but might solve it: Mavericks and AE 12.0/12.1/12.2

I am trying to install the trial version of After effects cs6. I installed the entire cs6 master suite and everything worked except after effects. I tried again from the master suite and then with a separate after effects only installer(all from adobe's site) always getting the same results
here is the error summary:
I am trying to install on a new macbook retina, I had installed the CC trial but it has run out. maybe I need to uninstall Creative cloud, but all the other programs installed with no problems so i am not sure why its just after effects.

Thanks so much for your help, but i am encountering some issues with the log. In the link you posted I was directed to look for the log in library>logs>adobe>installers and that the file would consist of the product name/install date and end in .log.gz
However I can't find and file that meets this description or even an installers folder inside the adobe folder
^this is all that is in the adobe folder, and both these folders are empty.
There is another folder called adobe downloads which contains these files
which still don't really fit the description provided.
am i doing something wrong? or should i look somewhere else?

Error 101: After Effects Cs6 Trial (Not enough available disk space)

This is the error that I get when I attempt to download After Effects trial. There is over 500 Gb of free space on my computer. Photoshop and Dreamweaver trials downloaded fine, and nomatter howmany times I try to redownload After Effects it still will not work. I've tried uninstalling the photoshop and Dreamweaver trials, I've moved the destination folder for the download in many different files (ie: C, Desktop, Users ect.) nothing works.
Please Help.

I even tried the direct download and it has the same error nomatter what folder I try.

What computer/OS are you trying to download After Effects on?
Make sure that your computer meets the System requirements for running After Effects. For example, AE requires a 64-bit operating system. If you're on a 32-bit version of Windows, you will be unable to install AE.
If you meet the system requirements, try one of the following:
Restart the browser and from the website, try downloading After Effects again.
Sign in to Adobe Download Assistant, and then from the Show Me menu choose Video, and then click the left/right arrows till you find After Effects CS6.

Newly installed After Effects CS6 won't launch.

Error: "You can't use this version of After Effects with the current version of OS. Using Mac OS 10.9.4 Adobe system requirements as follows:
Mac OS X v10.6.8, v10.7, or v10.8** All other applications in Production Premium launch and function as normal.

Updated AE CS6 to version 11.0.4. Did the trick! (Of course, I had to defeat the AdobeCrashDaemon using the Mac Activity utility before the update would install).
