Problem while installing the windows 8 pro in french
Hello
I was trying to install the windows 8 on a newly purchased Dell Laptop,
I downloaded the 64bit french version ISO image, graved it and each time I try to install it
I got a message "Pilote media manquant... "
But when I retried to install it using the English version it worked from the very first time...
Any suggested solution to be able to install the French version?

Hi, original poster here. I did not realize this would generate more discussion so I never checked back. I still had my warranty, so I took it to the store and got it repaired. The original problem I had was a screen with this icon flashing when I attempted to boot it up:
When I took it to the store, they told me that my computer was unable to communicate with the hard drive. I had this same problem three times in two months where this screen reappeared. Each time I went back to the store and they said the cause was different, but they were all hardware issues that physically made it impossible to communicate with the hard drive. After the third time, they simply replaced my laptop and I haven't had the same problem.
So in short: The reason you can't reinstall or move anything when you encounter this screen appears to be because nothing can communicate with the hard drive in the first place. You can't reach the disk or anything on it. So I don't believe it's possible to do anything besides take it to a physical store and have it fixed. -
Problem while installing the software update inside eclipse

I am facing an error while installing the software updates inside <b>Eclipse</b>,
I downloaded the <b>SAP widgets development tool.zip</b> from <b>SDN</b> and exactly followed the instructions given in
<b>SAP widgets development user guide</b>, but while installing the software update following the path( help->software updates-> find and install->
search for new features to install -> new archived site ) the select local site achieve gets opened, and i try to open <b>SAP widgets development tools.zip,</b>
at this point i get a message saying "<b>Selected Achieve does not contain an update site please select another achieve</b>".

Here is the folder structure of current zip file:
SAP Widget Development Tools - zip file.zip

The features folder, plugins folder, and site.xml file need to be the only thing in the zip file.
The new folder structure that works looks like this:
SAP Widget Development Tools - zip file.zip
- features
- plugins
- site.xml -
Refurbishment processing - problem while installing the equipment.
Dear Experts,
I am testing the refurbishment cycle, while doing this I am facing a problem.
Process is as below:
The equipment is damaged and needed replacement.
I have created the material master and serial number.
I have changed the valuation type of the damaged equipment to C3 using tcode IQ02 and dismantled the equipment using IE4N.
After saving the above transaction I got notification, material document number for GR of the damaged equipment into warehouse under the valuation type C3.
Now I am trying to install the equipment in replacement of the damaged equipment.
I have created the reservation with movement type 201 and with reference to the reservation installing the equipment using IE4N with GI.
I have entered the following data in IE4N installation:
Material number,serial number which is under valuation type C1.
Reservation number and line item number
Top Functional location.
While saving this transaction I am getting the following messages in application log:
1. This is warning message
Configuration- and validation check not possible
Message no. CCMM049
Diagnosis
For a local configuration check the configuration and effectivity data of the top reference equipment (counterpart of access node in the allowed configuration) is considered. However, the system cannot find a reference equipment for the assembly to be installed.
System Response
Configuration and effectivty data cannot be taken into account.
2. This is Error message:
No function identifier maintained. Configuration check not possible
Message no. CCMM043
I am not able to proceed further.
I could not find an appropriate note also in OSS.
If I am performing both the transactions separately i.e., Goods Issue against the reservation and changing the Functional Location in the Equipment master of the serial number, then it is happening correctly.
But I want this to happen like Dismantle because both the transactions can be posted at the same time.
Please help me out in solving this error.

I have done the chages in OMPL1 earlier, and run the transaction successfully.
For analysing this problem I went to transaction CCM2, there in the Equipment GAP there is filed FID. This field is empty.
Here if I am maintaing anything like the equipment number or functional location. The if I run the transaction IE4N there a new error message is coming as below:
1. This is Error message
FID deviates from FID FCLT-UTY of previously installed object
Message no. CCMM038
2. This is Warning message:
Function identifier FCLT-UTY of Structure Gap will be used for configuration check
Message no. CCMM037
3. This is Warning message:
Configuration- and validation check not possible
But I want to understand this. Why it is behaving like this and more over I dont have iPPE inteface also.
If I change the message type will there be any problem?

This is a problem with your DNS settings (or lack of), not with Sun Java System Application Server/Access Manager.
You will need to setup DNS before installing.

Windows Installer 4.5 Error while installing in windows 2008 32 bit
In windows 2008 server (standard edition), i am trying to install the exchange server 2007 sp2 before that i need to install the windows installer 4.5 to install my exchange server 2007sp2, while installing the windows installer 4.5 system showing the error
message as " Not enough storage is available to process this commend".

I am running Windows 7 home edition and trying to update to iTunes version 10.5 (from version 10.3.1.55) and I keep getting the following error message, ‘Error occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually’ which I do only to have the same error message pop up.

TomWhoa, I found the answer by clicking on one of the questions in the "More Like This" box to the right. I do wonder how to find that box before posting my dumb question. The answer turned out to be checking the youtube volume control. I turned that up and it solved the problem for Comast as well.

Problem while installing windows xp 32bit on mbp
hi i just purchased a early 2011 model macbook pro 13inch and was trying to install the windows xp 32bit on it using boot camp
however as the installation processes where it shuts down to install the windows it comes up with a black screen with the message "setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration..." and just freezes
the laptop itself goes completely silent i hear no cd rom running at all
anyone know wot the problem might be?

Problem with Installing the Oracle8i PO into Windows ME
I think I have the same problem as some of you had. Recently, I bought the Oracle Book and it has 3 discs: 1 for Oracle Developer 6 for Win 95 or 98, 1 for Oracle 8i PO (release 8.1.5) for Win 95, also 1 for Win 98.
My computer had no problem when I installed the Or. Developer. However, my computer won't allow me to install the Oracle 8i PO Win 98 disc. Instead of that, I have no problem of installing the Oracle 8i PO Win 95 disc. After I installed the Win 95 disc with all correct configuration according to the instructions, I can not CONNECT to the database. So, is this mean the Windows ME is compatible with the Win 95 disc? Or my computer is "screw up"? Because I know Win Me is very much the same as Win 98. If I installed the Win 98 disc, it should be ok. Anyway, I installed the Win 95 disc successful, but can not CONNECT.
So if anyone can help me out, or need a specific error message, I will post up next time. For now, I think I already gave you guys a "head-ache"... sorry.... Thanks all! Wait for your helps guys!What drivers are you attempting to install?

Thanks.From the error message you specified, I guess you are trying to install MS Office SP2 package. If you are then its not MS Office package its just a Service Pack; something like a patch. You need to install a Full Base package first. Again, as mentioned by Rajiv - refer to MS Support

The only reason why Acrobat installation fails and throw this error message is when there are some services running in the background causing the installer not to complete the installation. My take is try the following steps and suggest if you were able to install the products or not :
1) Navigate to control panel and confirm that there is no line Item that talks about Acrobat. If you see Acrobat XI listed there, please remove them.
2) Perform a selective Start up using the steps mentioned in this link.
Please suggest if the above mentioned steps were able to resolve the query for you or not.
