Problem while loading data from quality to production

Hai,
We are using standard extractor 2LIS_11_VASCL, and in test case in QTY 300, we were able to make some changes and see the changes and see the results of the changes in T-CODE RSA3. When we try the same changes in PRD300, No Changes are triggered and T-CODE RSA3 shows no changes.
Can any one suggest me regarding this prolem...

Hi bandi,
Instead of trying for the same changes in production, why cant you do the transport the object from Quality to Production & then check for the changes in RSA3.
You are transporting the object only from Quality to production.
As no data is present in PRD, u may not be finding any changes in RSA3.

Hi,
when you load the data via the PSA, what did you select? Serial or Paralel?
If you select serial most likely you don't have duplicates within the same datapackage and your load can go through.
Loading directly in the IObj will happen thefore if you have the same key in two different packages, the "duplicate records" will be raised; you can perhaps flag your IPack with the option "ignore duplicate records" as suggested...

SQL*Loader Problem while loading date from earlier era

I'm trying to load a date with SQL*Loader in Oracle 8.1.6. The value of the date is '11671102004338' with a date format 'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS'. Everytime I try it, I get the error message "ORA-01438: Wert größer als angegebene Stellenzahl für diese Spalte zuläßt" (meens: value is larger than the maximum length of the column). This is a little bit crazy, because the same works in SQL*Plus with the to_date function.
What I've to do?

Error while loading data from application server

Hi all,
Am facing a problem while loading data from application server.
The error i get is ....
*" The argument ' Rental/Lease ' cannot be interpreted as a number while assigning character to application structure*.
'Rental/Lease' is a value for a character infoobject length 30. I checked for the sequence of fields in data source and the sequnce of values am receiving in application server and the sequence match.
when i copy these values into a CSV onto a desktop and load,load is successful.
Please let me know your views.

It looks like the system is trying to convert Rental/Lease to a number format. Is the info object type CHAR or NUMC or ??? I would look there.
Also, make sure / is in RSKC.

We are having an issue of getting short dump while loading data from DB Connect to BW. We were able to load the data into BW Dev using the same data source without any problem. Whereas in Production, I am getting the following error:

Issue while loading data from DSO to Cube

Gurus,
I'm facing a typical problem while loading Cube from a DSO. The load is based upon certain conditions.
Though the data in DSO satisfies those condition, but the Cube is still not being loaded.
All the loads are managed through Process Chains.
Would there be any reason in specific/particular for this type of problem?
Any pointers would be of greatest help !

It is very hard to guess the problem with the amount of information you have provided.
- What do you mean by cube is not being loaded? No records are extracted from DSO? Is the load completing with 0 records?
- How is data loaded from DSO to InfoCube? Full? Are you first loading to PSA or not?
- Is there data already in the InfoCube?
- Is there change log data for DSO or did someone delete all the PSA data?
Sincere there are so many reasons for the behavior you are witnessing, your best option is to approach your resident expert.

Error while loading data from a file on application server

Hi all,
Facing an error while loading data from a flat file.
Error 'The argument '##yyyymmdd;@##' cannot be interpreted as a number ' while assigning character.
I changed the format of date fields (tried with number,general,date(International))in the xls. But i still get the same error.Did check all the data types in Data source all the fields are dats.
Can you please tell me what could be the problem?

one more note is i have some of the fields as NULL in this field

i wrote : select single VTEXT1 from V_T685A into w_cst_jin1 where
 KSCHL = 'JIN1' and
 KAPPL = 'V'.
how to retrive the data.

Hi
This is a Maintenance View, not a Database View
SO can't fetch data using select statement.
You can use the Table T685 directly to fetch the condition Types data straight away instead of the view. write the same select for this table and use.

Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..

Hi,
On SID generation data load failed while loading data from Source DSO to Target DSO.
Following are the error which is occuuring--
Value "External Ref # 2421-0625511EXP " (HEX 450078007400650072006E0061006C0020005200650066
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
So, i'm not getting WHY in one DSO i.e Source it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??

Hi,
I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO. By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
Please analyze the following
Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
this may be the reason.
Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)

While loading data from R/3 to PSA i am getting error 'the argument 0.6 j cannot be interpreted as a number when assing application structure.Actually in R/3 0.6 and JPY are 2 different columns.So when loading J is getting concatenated with 0.6,so i think i am getting this error.

U have to go thru the note and chk/compare the settings with ur system...i.e packages, levels...
If not take the assistance from BASIS...
Note; And also all the notes may not be the exact note tht matches ur issue always...its jst a comparision within our system...If it doesn't solve our issue we have to search for another alternative...

please check the source system job status. If its successfully completed then we can expect data load sucess in BW side.
to check source system status: RSMO> select related load>in Menu Environment-->Job overview in source system.
once this over check the TRFC or IDocs struck
if TRFC, chk in TCode-SM58 or from environment select TRFC from source/data warhouse.
if you are finding TRFcs are in stuck just select and run manually to complete.

Error while loading data from FDM (EPM 11.1.1.3)

We are loading data into HFM from FDM. While loading data from FDM it is throwing an error which as below.
"Load data started: 5/20/2012 9:30:45 PM
Line 27, Error: Cell for Period Mar is not an input cell.
Actual,2011,Mar,YTD,ENT_JJ,JPY,A23232323,ENT_J76;[None];[None];[None];ICP_Load;3463437"
There were multiples lines which are throwing error.
After doing some checking we found that when we unpost ICP data in HFM we were able to load data from FDM. We have not locked the ICP entities because that will restrcit to load data. But we are not able to understand just unposting the ICP values why we are able to load data from FDM. Also we have not closed the period in HFM.
Kindly suggest, what could be the possible reason.

one way to figure this out, would be to open a grad at the same POV.
It will rule out a couple things.
If it is locked, you'll visually see that it is locked. (will be grey I believe)
If it is an invalid intersection, you'll see that as well. (will be red)
If you do not have access to the cell, you will see that if you look at cell status, it will say NO ACCESS.
That should help you figure out what is happening, the quick and dirty way.

Error while loading data from R/3 into DSO

While loading data from 2lis_02_s012 into a DSO the following error occured:

    Updating for the information structure is still activated in client 150
    (and possibly also in other clients).

    o   It is not possible to upload data in the initial mode.
    o   Generation of the delta update was terminated.
Procedure
    1. Switch off updating in all system clients.
    2. Repeat the relevant activity.

Hi VN,
1. Incase you do full update , system will allow you to load without any error.
2. In case you want to do init then
      Lock users
      Stop the update in the system .
      Load init Package
      Start the update
      Unlock users.
      Load delta package.
