Problem while printing 132 col. report....

We have one report of width 132 columns. But when we print this report,
it prints only upto half width (Approx. upto 70 characters.)
We are using Reports 6i on Red Hat Linux server.
I tried to modify report width at developing time. But it is of no
use.
Which parameters needs to be changed to solve this problem?

I tried as you suggested. But problem is not solved.
But when I run this report in Windows environment, it prints ok. i.e. I am getting full width of report. What I notice here that while printing thru Windows, I am geeting 'US STD FANFOLD' paper size . But in Red Hat Linux (Advanced Sever 2.1) I am not getting this page size. SO I think if I have this page size in Red Hat then my problem may get solved. Have you any idea how can we get this page size in Red Hat ?

I think You are talking about header text in ALV , while printing ALV list i need to increase all the font size.. In fieldcatlog there is no option called Style...for increasing ALV font line item details. Can you tell me which style you are talking about?

Problem while importing a Crystal Report in SAP Business One

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem while importing a Crystal Report in SAP Business One, it displaying an error "No matching records found 'Queries' (OUQR) (ODBC -2028) [Message 131-183]" , and there is no use of this table OUQR in the Query.
Kindly let me know the solution.

i don't exactly know why this is a problem, but if your not on latest (881 p10) then upgrade and try again.
Or as a workaround,
try saveing from CR to SAP with the CR add-on. That usualy works better then the import.

Problem with printing oracle 9i report from my form

i got some problem in printing my report in PDF format. i am printing the report from
my form as mentioned below. the report is printing but its giving a message
File does not begin with '%PDF-'
my idea is to show the report and print the report simultaneously. if i remove the
web.show_document part then i didn't get that error.
what is reason for this and how can i rectify it?

hello,
there are two ways to do this :
1) submit two jobs, one that prints and one that creates the PDF
2) use reports advanced distribution to print and create a PDF file on the server as part of the same job, and then use web.show_document to bring up the PDF in the browser.
however, this brings up the question, why exactly you want to print and display at the same time. why not display it and let the user print form Acrobat Reader.

REP-1849: Failed while printing : Problem while printing on network printer

I am getting this error message while printing the report on Network Printer.
"REP-1849: Failed while printing"
Reports Server is not installed on my machine.
On shared printer, it has no problems.
Platform is Win2000. Report Builder 6.0.8.11.3

Try the following if your printer is a network printer
1. Add Printers - select Local Printer
2. In the Add Printer wizard, select "create a new port" option and select "TCP/IP" as type
3. Write the IP address of the network printer in the "Add standard TCP/IP Printer Port wizard". The port name becomes IP_<ip addr>. Click Next.
4. Select the printer and printer type in "Add Printer" wizard.
5. Select a driver and Write a printer name. This completes the setup. Use this printer name to print from Oracle reports.

Problem while printing in ukraine language using smart form

Hi All,
Am facing an issue while printing the quality certificate in Ukraine language. I have created the smartform in English,later I maintained the transalations in Ukraine. I will execute the print program by passing the delivery number in selection screen.
The problem is in print preview every thing is coming fine in Ukraine language except the ship-to party address,But when I issue the print only the ship-to party address in coming in UK rest all are coming as junk characters. Am using HELVCYR font. I have tried creating form in UK as well but same result.
Other Ukraine documents are printed correctly using the same printer.
Please tell me what could be the problem here?

i'm using srw.set_hyperlink to call report from report.
i have created a key value in the cgicmd.dat file called

Report is coming but not the expected result because parmaeters are not coming from first report to second report.
If i dont use cgicmd file userid and password are displyed in the URL.
Pl tell me how to pass parameter from one report to another.

Page number problem while printing

We are unable to get the page number while printing from SAP, we are trying to print a word document from SAP and when it prints the page numbers do not appear properly. if we save the document to the desktop and print, it prints properly.
We print to a Xerox 7345 printer...we have loaded the exact driver, but still does not print. Can anything be done from UNIX side for this.
the page number appear as 0/9 0/9...where it should appear as 1/9, 2/9..etc..
Any help is highly appreciated, Hope there are some good Basis guys out here.

Problem when printing Alv Tree Report in back ground

Hi,
I am using SUBMIT ...TO SAP-SPOOL WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO with GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS FM.Its working fine.
My problem is that my SUBMIT report have TREE STRUCTURE as output so when i am running my program one blank screen is coming with heading DISPLAY LOG TREE because of TREE STRUCTURE.when i click on back button then only further processing happens.
How to avoid this TREE STRUCTURE SCREEN ???
Is there any other way to pass your list o/p to SPOOL other than .....TO SAP-SPOOL..?

in foreground when u run ALV report it holds maximum fields and displays in 1 single row, but the case is not in back ground...When any report is run in background, the default size for a line is 255 chars...So, if it more it gets splitted into 2 line item....This is how back ground job works for a report though it is a normal report or alv report.

Problem while printing through citrix

Dear Gurus ,
We are facing the problem during printing through citrix .
When we print locally without using citrix were able to get the proper print as it displayed in the spool .
But When we try to take the printout of document having say 12 colum , only 10 colums r coming asthe print out .

Problem while printing

I am using adobe acrobat professional 8.1. while printing the printout will be jumbled. For this if i use print as image option an advanced, i will get the correct printout, if i give print as image the file size will be heavier, and printing gets slow. i am using windows xp professional, and thosiba E studio200 printer. please help me. thank u

Alv list report-problems while printing

i get following dump error when tryign to print a alv list report.
'Illegal interruption of the event LOAD-OF-PROGRAM.
What happened?
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "SAPLSZA12" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
    During the flow of the event LOAD-OF-PROGRAM (event for the
    initialization of an ABAP program), a condition occurred under which
    the event was to be left early. This is not permitted as it would
    result in an inconsistent status in the ABAP program.'
the problem resolves for a particular output(when i restrict the list to lesser rows) by changing FORMAT from
X_65_255 to X_90_120 in the print dialog properties option..
however this restricts the coloumn width..
anycase i will have to print the output for all conditions.
the problem seems to be centred around number of rows in the list output..

is somethign wrong with the values in this internal table gt_comtypes_tab...

Font problem while printing russian characters

Hello,
I have a weird problem. When I print an exported crystal report document which has been exported by Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 as PDF document, the printout misses a lot of russian characters. This area with the missing characters just stays blank, not even question marks or something similar is shown. It seems that the half of all characters of the document is not shown.
(But the document does not contain any missing characters when you just open it in Adobe Acrobat. You only see this behaviour when you print it. That's why we didn't recognize this error for a long time because we didn't print it but just opened it with Acrobat Reader)
I have an original document with russian characters which is saved as docx. When I export this document with MS Word to PDF and print this document, no characters are missing. So it's no printer problem.
There is a difference in both documents:
This document, where all characters work, has the following properties set in the font information tab:
Arial
   type: TrueType
   encoding: Ansi
   original font: ArialMT
   original font type:: TrueType
The document which has been created with Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 just contains the following data:
Arial
   type: TrueType
   encoding: included
(I hope the right translation for this option set is "included" because my version of Adobe Acrobat is a non english version).
What exactly happened to this document. How can I solve this that russian fonts will be print correctly?

Problem to print character mode report in Landscape

I set orientation and select but it still print in landscape character mode. When it print in character mode report in portrait format its ok.
I Set and use all the option in report to print in Landscape in character mode.
I ask you please to give me information about the printing definition files and its codes, how to use printer codes. I use two printers
1. Epson LQ2180 2. HP 6L
I used HPLWIDE printing definition files put its still print in portrait format not to print in landscape.

This sounds like a similar problem that I had (and still having). It was (is) a Bug. Go to metalink.oracle.com and reference this bug#1413754. See if this is your problem as well. My only work around was change the format of the file instead of using character mode I am now using PDF. Which is working fine for me.

Problem while downloading a ALV report to excel

Hi experts,
I have an ALV report which took long time to extract records from various table. So while there is some restriction the report can be executed well in foreground. And the report can be extracted well to excel sheet. But while there is hudge records, i have to execute the report in backgroung. And then from spool i generally prefers to download the report to excel.
There is a field UOM where it contains value ' " ' for some records. And also there may be possiblity that other fields can also contain the same.
Now my problem is: while download to excel... When ever there is a value ' " ' from this point to the next value ' " '. It is treating as one record. and keep that in a same position in the excel sheet.
But i want to keep all the values in there respective fields. Can you please how can i do that? Please give me some solution...
