Problem while submitting job from Forms

Hi,
i'm submitting a job in when button pressed trigger. This job will call a Backend Package(one procedure). But the job id is created in the backend but the job is not running. but if i run the job with DBMS_job.Run(jobid) from form itself after submitting the job, its working fine. Do we need to maintain any parameter to run job automatically?

if there are four parameters passed then one of them is contradicting ur conditional statements. First check and debug those parameters if they consist the required value. also post ur code for further scrutiny.

Main functionality of this page is to upload csv file into oracle table .First user will browse a file from local machine and upload it in upload region.After that,user enters a table name and clicks create table button which creates a table in DB and also shows the report for the same .Creating table is happening through "create table " process when user clicks "create table" button.Code is working fine .One more things here is, in csv file the second row should have data type mentioned .
My requirement is ,i have to schedule "htmldb_tools.parse_file" in create table process as a job .In this "create table process" we are calling htmldb_tools.parse_file(:P1_FILENAME,'P1_COLLECTION','P1_HEADINGS','P1_COLUMNS','P1_DDL',:P1_TABLENAME);
Problem Iam facing here is that the scope of item :p1_filename is getting lost when we pass it to procedure .I think problem is due to different apex and database session .
Tried a lot through various ways ..Not finding the solution.

Problem while selecting BELNR from BSEG

Hi Experts,
I have a report performance problem while fetching BELNR from BSEG table.
I have to print latest BELNR from BSEG where BUZID = M but at the time of execution of report, It is taking too much time (More that hour and sometimes it gets hanged).
I have also gone through the comments provided by experts for previous problems asked in this forum e.g. BSEG is a cluster table that is why data retrieval takes long time etc.
Can any one has any other idea or suggestion or any other way to solve this problem

1) Try to create an index on BUZID field
2) Don't use SELECT/ENDSELECT statement. Instead of that extract all the concerned entries from BSEG into an internal table :
select belnr from bseg appending table itab where buzid = 'M'.
then do this :
sort itab by belnr.
describe itab lines n.
read table itab index n.

This is a Maintenance View, not a Database View
SO can't fetch data using select statement.
You can use the Table T685 directly to fetch the condition Types data straight away instead of the view. write the same select for this table and use.

Hi,
when you load the data via the PSA, what did you select? Serial or Paralel?
If you select serial most likely you don't have duplicates within the same datapackage and your load can go through.
Loading directly in the IObj will happen thefore if you have the same key in two different packages, the "duplicate records" will be raised; you can perhaps flag your IPack with the option "ignore duplicate records" as suggested...

Problem while reading data from Serial Port

Hi All,
I am facing some problem while reading data from Serial Port.
As per the requirement I am writing the data on Serial Port and waiting for response of that data.
Notification for data availabilty is checked with method public void serialEvent(SerialPortEvent event) of javax.comm.SerialPortEventListener.
When we are writing data on the port one thread i.e. "main" thread is generated and when data availability event occures another thread "Win32SerialPort Notification thread" is generated. This creates problem for me as we can't control thread processing.
So can anybody pls explain me how to overcome this problem?

My Problem is:-
I am simoultaneouly wrting data on port & reading data from port.
First I write data on port using outputStream.write() method. Now when target side sends me response back for the request on serial port DATA_AVAILABLE of SerialPortEventListner event occured,we are reading data from serial port.Now till the time we didn't get the response from target next command can't be written on the serial port. When we are writing data on port main thread is executed.Now my problem starts when DATA_AVAILABLE event occured.At this point another thread is created.Due to this my program writes data of next command without reading response of previous command.To solve this prob. I have used wait() & notify() methods as follows.But again due to this my pc hangs after execution of 2 commands. (PC hang in while loop in a code provided below.)
From SOPs I could figure it out that after 2 commands we are not able to write data on serial port so DATA_AVAILABLE event doesn't occure n pro. goes in wait state.
Can anybody help me to solve this issue.

Problems While Extracting Hours From Date Field

Hope you are doing well.
I am facing some problems while extracting hours from date field. Below is an example of my orders table:-

Earlier there was a requirement that daily how many orders are taking place in the order's table, In that I used to write a query
arrival_time>=trunc((sysdate-1),'DD')
and arrival_time<trunc((sysdate),'DD')
The above query gives me yesterday how many orders have been taken place.
Now I have new requirement to generate a report on every 4 hours how many orders will take place. For an example if current time is 8.00 AM IST then the query should fetch from 4.00 AM till 8 AM how many orders taken place. The report will run next at 12.00 PM IST which will give me order took place from 8.00 AM till 12.00 PM.
The report will run at every 4 hours a day and generate report of orders taken place of last 4 hours. I have a scheduler which will run this query every hours, but how to make the query understand to fetch order details which arrived last 4 hours. I am not able to achieve this using trunc.
Can you please assist me how to make this happen. I have checked "Extract" also but I am not satisfied.

Elementary Problem With Submitting A PDF Form Via Email?

Hello all!
I'm brand new to creating forms with Adobe. I have Acrobat X Pro. I have created a form with multiple fields to fill in and placed a button at the top of the form. Under button properties I selected the submit a form option under the actions tab and chose to email the entire pdf file. Where it says enter a URL for this link I put mailto: and my email address.
When I click on the submit button I choose the desktop application option as I use Outlook exchange. (that could be the problem?) I click on the ok button and immediately get a pop up box that says "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default client.
I have no idea how to fix this issue or if I'm creating the submit form improperly. My goal is to get an exact copy of the completed Adobe form emailed to the specified email address. Any help would be much appreciated!

To answer some of your specific questions:
2, 3. The submit form button needs to be on the PDF. You can either configure a Submit Form action or use the submitForm JavaScript method.
4, 6: No to both questions. You can create the form in Acrobat. Such forms are knows as Acroforms, as opposed to XFA forms that are created with LiveCycle Designer. Acroforms have wider support.
5: Yes, that's the method that's used when submitting to a web server. You have your choice of formats. The "HTML Form" option causes the form data to be submitted in the same format as an HTML form, so the same type of server-side code can be used to process the data. As Dave's tutorial shows, the server should return an FDF as the response, however, as opposed to HTML content.
It's a mistake to try to embed the PDF in a web page. So much depends on the user's browser, PDF viewer, and how both are configured. PDF forms can be submitted directly from Adobe Reader/Acrobat, so it's not necessary for them to be viewed in a browser. Note that Adobe Reader for iOS/Android don't yet support submitting to a web server (apart from FormsCentral), but that's is supposedly being worked on.
Since you mentioned digital signatures, be aware that for Reader users to be able to sign, the document has to be Reader-enabled, either with Acrobat Pro or LiveCycle Reader Extensions (which is not the same as LiveCycle Designer). Digital signatures in PDF forms are not yet supported on mobile devices. Also, you will want to submit the entire PDF, as opposed to just the form data, when submitting a digitally signed form.

Problem while passing parameter from report to report.

I'm using forms and reports 10g, hava a problem while passing the parameter from reports to report.
i'm using srw.set_hyperlink to call report from report.
i have created a key value in the cgicmd.dat file called

Now in the format trigger i'm using this key value

Report is coming but not the expected result because parmaeters are not coming from first report to second report.
If i dont use cgicmd file userid and password are displyed in the URL.
Pl tell me how to pass parameter from one report to another.

I am working in oracle forms 6i and i am trying to run report from
form while press one of the push-button. works fine upto 2nd line from the
begin key-word.After that its showing error like " FRM-40738:Argument 1 to builtin
REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS cannot be null.". Can any-one help me of how to solve this and
wat would be the problem.........?

Report is running but while coming to report_object_status. complior shows error like "FRM-40738:Argument 1 to builtin REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS cannot be null". Parameter for report_object_status is null, i dont know y it is null because report is running. If report is running means,then there must be some values in run_rep.
why complior doesnt find the values from run_rep.......???

Connect Window Appears While Running Report From Forms 6i

Hi.
I have a problem ie. Using Oracle Server 8.0.5 In the parameter file when I use RESOURCE_LIMIT=TRUE Then
Every time When report runs from Forms 6 It displays conection Window. But When RESOURCE_LIMIT=FALSE It does not appears.
How to Control this while Using RESOURCE_LIMIT=TRUE

Though I'm not aware that I use this setting, I also have a similar problem with Reports6.0. Randomly, while running a report from a Form using the RUN PRODUCT built-in, I see the database logon Form! Would looding my connection while the report was running cause this same thing?
