Problem wih MobileMe Login

Hi,
Just upgraded to Snow Leopard and after reboot, have been facing issues with MobileMe.
1. Firstly, a pop up window kept appearing saying that I've entered an invalid MobileMe member name or password, for i'm very sure it's correct.
2. Then, when i go to MobileMe Sync Preferences, another pop up window appears to say that there's a keychain error.
3. I somehow managed to sign in to MobileMe, but the system still does not Sync! Weird!
Very very frustrated as MobileMe subscription is not cheap! Anyone has a fix to this?

Hello all. This is my first time doing this, so I hope I don't screw it up. I had the exact same scenario as Darin Simmer described. Several calls to Apple. Here's what seems to have worked.
Home Folder/Library/Keychains, drag the Keychains folder onto the desktop...
Log out, and log back in.
They told me to leave the Keychains folder on my desktop for a week or so.
I had to re-enter passwords one more time, but they seem to have stuck, and I don't get the stupid "Keychain error" message anymore, or the "You've entered an invalid MobileMe password" error.
I guess something was corrupted in the Keychains folder when I upgraded to Snow Leopard.
After a week, I deleted the Keychain folder from my desktop, and my computer didn't explode.

I'm trying to migrate from mobileMe to iCloud but I have Snow Leopard (the latest version). It looks like Lion is no longer available because Mountain Lion comes out next month (July). The problem is mobileMe ends on June 30th. How can I migrate?

My iphone and my ipad are compatible but when I try to go to icloud on my phone it says to do it on my computer.
I would like to have my calendar, contacts, etc.. all sync like they do now. Is there a way to upgrade before June 30th? If not, will the gap be an issue or will I just be able to buy mountain lion and sync everything?
Any suggestions?

You can buy Lion in the App Store now, but move to iCloud now. If you wait to Mountain Lion, you will only have Mail in Snow Leopard, so you will lose syncing unless you use Lion or Mountain Lion. It's up to you

Problems with mobileme syncing ...

Hi everyone. I'm having massive problems with mobileme sync with my iphone, my macbook and MacPC G5. Essentially I want the iphone contacts and calender data to overwrite anything on laptop and pc but I keep getting message that contacts couldn't be synced due to inconsistent data. Despite me overriding it. I'm not sure how I go about confirming that the computers data is valid and actually whether I want to because its the iphone data I want. Then despite saying its synced calenders its not updating on my macbook or PC ... any suggestions gratefully received. Its doing my head in! Oh I'm on Leopard OS.

Hi Chris, Thanks for the advice, I haven't tried that yet. Will do so and pray that it will work. This however doesn't solve the problem of appointments I'm putting on my iphone not updating on PC and laptop - they do however update on mobile me cloud! Any advice greatly appreciated!

Keyboard layout problem at the login screen

Hi there!
I'm having a huge problem at the login screen just after installing OS X Lion 10.7. It seems like the keyboard layout has changed, and I need to enter some numbers in my password. I can't find the digit 9, and I really don't know if the other numbers are in the right place either. Maybe it's changed to a us layout.. What to do?

the numbers are in the same position on a US English keyboard as they are on a Norwegian keyboard.
If you select the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences, and select its Login Options, do you have the “Show Input menu in login window” checkbox checked? (That’s where the checkbox’s location is in Mavericks; I don’t have Lion, so I don’t know if it’s in the same location there.)

If you are certain you have the right serial number, there really isn't much we can help you with here. You might try downloading and installing the last version of Lightroom 2. It will be the trial version, but when the trial screen appears there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Incidentally, Lightroom serial numbers start with the first four digits being 1160.

If the service is not a Mozilla service, it might be best to contact the customer support of that site instead of Mozilla Support, as they'll be better able to help resolve your problem.

MobileMe login problem with aperture3

Hello all,
I'm experiencing the following problem. I cannot login to mobileMe via Aperture 3, because MobileMe didn't recognize the stored password for "xxxxx's" MobileMe account; the username/password combination is not recognized. I've tried the following (in all possible orders):
1. Close Aperture3
2. Logout of MobileMe account
3. In Keychain delete settings for MobileMe
4. Login to MobileMe again
5. Open Aperture3
Anybody any suggestions?

Ichat mobileme login problem

I can login ichat with my .mac account but can't do with mobileme one. I've got full mobileme subscription (upgrade from .mac) and can login to mobileme mail and web services. But there is a timeout when trying to login with ichat. How can I solve the problem?

Mobileme login problem

I had a mobileme account and I didn't migrate it to icloud. Now when I try to login to icloud it redirects me to the mobileme site, which is closed. How can I login to icloud with this apple id?

Apple has ended MobileMe as of June 30. As of the end of July 31, 2012 Apple also took the old MobileMe servers offline and started to delete the email addresses of accounts not transferred to iCloud. Unfortunately, this means that you might have to create a new account.

Mobileme login problems when publishing

When trying to publish my site (both entire site or just the changes) i get a window telling me to log on to mobile me.
Klicking <login> opens up the system menu and here it shows that _I already AM logged inn_ at my account.
I have tried to repair all permissions with onyx and full software updates, not that it helped any...
I´m still getting the same problem.
Anyone got any ideas?

HT5129 i forgot my mobileMe login name and password

How can I retrieve my mobilMe login name and password ? I forgot them. I guess my login name was an email, but I still don't remember it

So why is it that if MobleMe is discontinues that I am getting MobileMe error when I try to sync my contacts? This message comes up that I have 350 contacts that will be deleted. I don't know how it came to that conclusion but I do not want to delete them. Click on the ? in the warning box up pops the mobileme signin to continue. It seems that if MobileMe has been discontinued this type of behavior should also be discontinued. Maybe that's why people continue to have trouble with trying to access Mobileme... because that is where the Mac system is directing them??? Still haven't solved my sync problem.

Problem when I login in JDS

I have installed Solaris 10 u1 x86 with AMD 450 Mhz and NVIDIA Geforce MX but when i am doing login with root( dtlogin) I get two screen saying:
"There was an error starting the GNOME Setting Daemon. 
 
Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly. 
 
The Settings Deamon restarted too many times. 
 
 
GNOME will still try to retstart the Settings Daemon net time you log in"
When i ran in failsafe session gnome-session I got:
#gnome-cleanup
#rm /var/tmp
#gnome-session
Window manager warning: Log level 32: could not find XKB extension.
** (gnome-panel:1151): WARNING **: Unable to load panel stock icon 'gnome-fs-directory'
After this I can go to the desktop but There are some icons missing.
Somebody knows which is the problem and how can i fix????

2) Does login work well if you log in as "ordinary" user?
3) If yes: Which is the home directory of root?
