Hi, I've a volume problem with my Inspire 6.1 6700. The volume sometime turn to be loud or weak automatically. I think that the problem depends from the volume control unit. How i can resolve this problem? I tried to find another volume control unit, but I findn' it...

I have the same product (from 3 years)... and I had the same problem!... it's the faulty volume control! I changed it 2 times... the first replaced was broken ,5 years ago... the second (different from the original) 6 month ago... :smileysurprised:

First we aren't Apple just normal users just like you.
Second provide Apple a feedback or send them a mail.
Third they will never send you a free iPad Air.
If you want one you have to buy it. (go for refurbished if the device is too expensive) or look for special prices.
Contact iTunes support if you have a problem with an App.

As far as I know:
1) If you have speakers with still valid warranty, you can try to contact Creative Support and probably they'll send you a new remote control. You'll have to write them first, though, and send them the serial number of the speakers. Check the 'Support' section on this site.
2) If warranty has expired, nothing can be done. Creative will not send/sell you a new remote control, even if they have one in reserve. You can try ebay, or you can throw the speakers away...
I recently contacted Creative Support. I asked them if I can buy a new satellite and/or a new remote control for a quite expensive Creative Megaworks 250D 2.1 THX set. They refused, because speakers are out of warranty period, and they don't sell spare parts for speakers which are out of warranty... :-(

Serious problem with Leopard search. I think it qualifies as a bug.

If any of you can figure out a workaround for this, you'll beat Apple Support—which was unable to come up with a fix after more than an hour and a half on the phone (most of that time on hold).
As you know, the ability to click "Other" in the Search window has disappeared, so we can no longer specify certain volumes to search. The serious problem is this: If you need to search a volume on the network, such as a hard drive on your Airport Extreme, your only option is to select the Network icon in the Search window—which means you must wait for every computer and volume on the network to be searched!
A real-life example is this: All my music is on a hard drive attached to Airport. Two computers are in the network, so each can access the tens of thousands of songs on the hard drive. Under Tiger, searches on this drive were instantaneous. But now, under Leopard, try searching for a certain song on that drive, and it takes nearly 5 minutes (20 seconds would be a long wait!), because we cannot limit the search to just that volume. After my first search took forever, I searched two more times and clocked it with a stopwatch. The first took 4 min. 10 seconds, and the second search took 4 minutes 31 seconds. This renders Search useless for ordinary activity.
I strongly regret that this volume no longer can be listed in the sidebar of the Finder window, but I can live with that. (You have to navigate to it by clicking on the Airport base station icon.) However, one cannot live with 5-minute searches on a volume that requires intensive searching.
Until Apple fixes this, can anyone figure out a workaround, so that searches can be limited to just one thing in the network? (Imagine if there were 6 or 15 or 32 computers in the network!)

Folks, I have the answer...
While on the phone with an Airport Extreme engineer at Apple (on a different matter), I asked the question at hand. He answered it in a heartbeat, and it is very simple. But we're not all crazy—remember, I previously spent an hour and a half on the phone with an Apple Specialist who couldn't figure it out either, even while researching it as I waited on hold! Nor did anyone on this forum come up with the answer.
So... How to limit a search to an "air disk" (a hard drive plugged into an Airport Extreme)—without having to click on "Shared" in the Find window for an unwanted 4-minute search on ALL networked devices:
Simply open any Finder window, click on your base station in the left column, then click to highlight the name of the air disk in the next column. Then use the search field in the upper right corner of that window. Just as always happens on the Mac, that search will be limited to the item highlighted—in this case, the air disk.
As soon as you start a search, this way, the window changes into a search/find window which now DOES list the air disk across the top, in that line that begins "Search:"
Where we've all been thrown, on this, is that we were all expecting to go Command-F to get a search window while the air disk was highlighted. But that will NOT get your air disk listed as one of the search options! We cannot go Command-F; we have to type our search into an ordinary Finder window (with the air disk highlighted) instead of turning it into a search window first.
Truth is, the air disk really should show up in a Command-F window as a selectable item. But until that's fixed, the workaround is easy.

Connect add-in crashes with 'plugin failure' when I click volume controls F11 or F12 On MAC OSX 10.9.5. Latest add-in installed and set to run in unsafe mode

I am running Adobe Connect on a MAC using OSX 10.9.5 and have just installed the latest version of the add-in ( 11.9.971.247) to try to fix the problem. Every time I adjust the volume with F11 or F12 I get a white screen and the message 'Plug-in Failure'. I have also set the add-in to run in Safari in 'unsafe mode' but this has not fixed the problem.
I've been running Connect on this MAC for many months now without the problem but cannot understand why it has suddenly started. Any help or ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks again. I finally found the answer and it is working in Safari and Chrome
First I updated Flash Player to the latest version (not sure whether this was required)
Then I found that even though the add-in was installed that Connect was not using it, as all the browser tabs were still showing, and adjusting sound was crashing the program.
I deleted the add-in directory from ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/bin/connectaddin
I deleted the add-in directory from ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/bin/adobeconnectaddin
Then I restarted the meeting and created a new Pod and Selected 'Share my Screen'
This forced the add-in to download and install.
Adobe Connect now starts from the add-in and not the browser

KT3 Ultra2 Problems. Baby Steps. Question 1: Volume controls

The volume control window in Windows XP Pro is using the "wave" file volume slider, not my "CDplayer" volume slider. I checked to make sure that I have set the CD-player to use analogue sound. Is this normal?

Just wanted to let you know that I have experienced the same characteristic on a Kt3 Ultra2 and onboard audio. I have also noticed a similar situation with Windows XP using a Creative SB Live 5.1 on a K7M mobo and a Santa Cruz sound card on an A7V333 mobo.
I will also be interested in finding out how to make a change to enable controlling the audio level on the analogue CD ROM input. I believe it is a Win XP issue and not an issue with the KT3 Ultra2 onboard audio or its associated driver.

Problem with international file names on FAT volumes

I believe I've found a bug in QuickTime for Windows. I have a FAT32 volume on my Windows XP system where some folders containing QuickTime movies have Russian names. The QuickTime player fails to open these files, either from the Explorer shell or using the internal file dialog. Google Picasa, which embeds QuickTime to view the respective content, fails to "see" the movies as well. If I rename the folders such that the full path to the file contains only ASCII characters, the player is able to open it. Oddly enough, file names on NTFS volumes do not present such a problem regardless of international character use.
I encounter this behavior with QuickTime 7.0 and 7.1.

Problem with Corona Skin 1 and FLV volume

Hello, I have recently used Corona Skin 1 through Dreamweaver to play an FLV file I have, and the volume is noticably more mute when compared to the same FLV being played using a different skin. I have trimed the param name="volume" value="1" and a number of other fixes, but the volume does not noticably change.

This server is the open directory Master and metadata controller of xsan2, but we have another server that is open directory replica and metadata controller of xsan2. The fisrt server have too many errors with afp, the service stop and the server is dead, and you must restart via terminal with the command sudo reboot. I dont know what happen, do you help me please?

Problem with 6.1 6700 speakers and latest Audigy 1 EAX4.0 driv

Hi,
I just installed the new drivers again after a cleansweep (had to first install the old drivers through CD), but i noticed that after installing the new drivers, the rear speakers aren't as loud and aren't as clear as the front speakers. Its as if the old speakers are connected to a really old sound card and the front ones to the Audigy which i have.
With the old drivers i can listen to music perfectly and all the speakers give me equal pleasure.
It's a shame because to listen to crystal clear music i have to use EAX drivers instead of EAX4.0 ....

If you have these then try adjusting the software on the computer that controls the sound cards performance and update the drivers to the sound card then try tweaking the creative software again also try using the test feature built in to the creative sound software to see if you can't diagnose the problem and if you are still having problems then sounds like the center channel went out in the amp which is in the box of the sub so you would have to exchange it or get your money back however you would like to go about that one.
I do hope you get it working with out a excgange or what not but Godd Luck!

Problems with a result in a switch/case control statement

I am having troubles with a switch/case statement in which I am trying to get a result returned from different operators. The problem is that the result always returns 0 no matter what I put in the driver class.

The previous poster is correct. You never call the calculate method. If you don't call it, no one's going to call if for you. This stuff doesn't work by magic. I think you've misunderstood your prof's intent in this regard.
However, it still won't work with the changes previously suggested, because declaring an int result in the calculate method will hide the instance field of the same name, which is what your getResult() method retrieves. Don't delare result at all in your calculate method.
That said, it would be architecturally a lot better if the calculate method returned the result rather than storing it back into the instance.

Problem with screen going suddenly blurry and no controls working

Allo everyone,
I bought a brand new iMac a few months ago and twice I've had the problem of the computer freezing with the screen going completely blurry and none of the controls working. No mouse clicks, no keyboard taps, nothing.
The last time it happened is tonight, and I had Firefox, Safari and Quicktime running at the same time. I can't remember what I had open the first time, I think it was just Firefox.
Nothing short of hitting the power button and switching off the computer can solve the problem. After rebooting it works perfectly.
It's got me a little worried as my partner and I work on some quite major projects, and I'd hate to think it's going to do that in the middle of our work.
Is this a software or possible hardware malfunction? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Definitely take it back, quickly. Most likely, by symptoms, you have a failing motherboard. Seems to be an issue with HP with many of their models. If your warranty expires your goose is cooked. I'd recommend you show the repair facility the actual symptoms before you leave the store, and get them to write up the problem accurately at time of drop off and get a copy. Get a paper trail. If you ship it in include a detailed description and keep a copy.

Problem with shared services,, cannot load "assign access control"

i m using 11.1.1.3 version of EPM.
I have configured Essbase with Shared Services.
When I do right click on application on shared services and select "Assign Access Control" , it gives "loading.." .it remains same for hours..
I re configured essbase ,, but problem remained same...
Could you please suggest what I can do assign filters to users.

(URGENT) problem with JTable: can't catch ENTER and control focus in JTable

I hava a JTable and a AbstractTableModel.
Here is what i want to DO.
When I press the ENTER or TAB I want to set focus to cell wich is 2 position away from the the sell I am editing
on the same row in the JTable. How can I do this.

In the UI is defined the InputMap/ActionMap pair to respond to keys. There is defined an action for ENTER. I have had the same problem, and the only thing that worked for me was to clear the actionMap, and reassign some keys to their original action, and some (e.g. ENTER, TAB) to my actions. This worked. With TAB is harder beacuse i guess it's deeper in the JVM implemented, but after a while i've managed to overwrite that too.

Problems with NWDS 7.1 EHP1 and JPA persistence unit

In EJB project with JPA Facet Iu2019m working without any problem for several days. But, after two weeks, JPA plug-in of Eclipse is not working fine.
When I try to generate DDL Iu2019m getting the following error window: There isnu2019t a registered persistence unit in the project. But this is not true. Curiously sometimes it works fine.
Can any body has any suggestion for correcting this issue?

Hi,
I had the same problem and luckily stumbled upon the solution today.
1. File persistence.xml is located in /ejbModule/META-INF. Path /build/classes is empty.
2. Right-click on the DC/project and select "Properties".
3. In "JPA", change parameter "Platform" or "Connection", then restore the original value. The purpose is to set a dirty flag which will make the IDE generate the missing stuff in path build/classes.
4. A copy of resource branch META-INF and the .classes files will appear below /build.
5. Right-click on the DC/Project and select "JPA-Tools -> Generate DDL".
Please let me know if it works for you.
