Problem with a Recently Bought Movie

So yesterday I decided to buy a movie on iTunes. It was running smoothly until it was about 90% done... My computer froze, and I'm not sure if the movie finished or not. Either way, it doesn't show up anywhere besides my 'Latest Purchase' in my account info. If it were simply a song, I wouldn't mind, but spending $15 to get absolutely nothing is not my cup of tea.

Presuming you mean that the movie never finished downloading, look for a folder called "Downloads" in your iTunes Music folder. If there is such a folder, look for files that would be the partial download of the movie and delete those, so that the download starts over from the beginning. Then try again using the "Check for Purchases" command under the iTunes Store menu.
If that doesn't work, contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them.

Problem with most recent apple combo software update

So about a month ago I posted here about a problem I'd been having for a while that others seemed to have as well, with safari crashing and for me dashboard as well. Looking at my crash report, I was advised that most likely this was a javascript error and I did an archive install of Leopard and this did fix the problem.
However, of course the Leopard from my install disk was a little old, so today when I did all the updates again, lo and behold, my problem is back. Looking at the date that the last combo update pack came out (mid June) I'm pretty sure this is when my problem started, and now its back again because I know that's one of the updates that I just did on my computer.
So my question is, has anyone else experienced problems with this recent update, and secondly, what can I do? Should I re- archive/install and not do the update, and then just wait until the next combo update? I did the updates in order to get my itunes back in order, but I don't know if it would be detrimental to my other programs to not do this last combo update... And is there anyway I can go into my system and fix this while keeping up the update? Its just strange to me that no one else I know is having this problem, even though they keep up-to-date on all the software updates.

I don’t know about projection, but I’m unable to watch HD content in iTunes because my Apple 30-inch Cinema Display is not HDCP-compliant (which is part of an HD copy-protection scheme).
The other movies you’ve projected, were they HD as well? If not, it could be the same problem: your projector is not HDCP-compliant.

is this a rental from the Apple TV or one you have in iTunes. If from the Apple TV try restarting the Apple TV, if from iTunes, try de/re-authorising your account.

If you had already removed the device from 'Find My iPhone' in iCloud, then you jus tneed to powercycle the device in order to activate it.

If it has not been removed, then the activation lock is still active.
If the previous owner cannot remove the device from their account there is nothing you can do unless the place you purchased it from will give you a refund.

Have problems with my newly bought MSI GX740

Hey, I already have problems with my newly bought MSI GX740 from JME Data.
The computer is behaving very strangely. To begin with, and so it is extremely tough to boot windows and launch programs, many programs can not even begin to eg Internet Explorer or Norton Antivirus.
When you then turn off your computer and start it again, it starts, as usual, extremely tough right from the bios to load Windows, but then when it should go from the''windowscharge'' to the desktop screen is just black. The cursor is there, but the screen is just completely black.
I have tried to make a''recovery''from windows MSI's built-in recovery function in the BIOS. What it means is that it then reformat the c drive and then reinstall Windows and all programs that were on the computer from the very beginning. This can be very slow to install and when Windows is installed so the problem remains, however, that everything goes extremely slow, and some programs will not even start.
I have also tried to put energy saving options for maximum performance, but it did nothing.
What do you think? Is this something that can fix or is it only to send the rebound?

Well its kinda strange, but i managed to fix it.
I just started in the ''windows secure mode'' or whatever u call it in english, and then when windows started and windows popped up, wich said ''A system change has occured'' or something like that, i pressed accept and after that everything worked perfect

Video on skype not working. Only functioning in facetime and photo booth. Seems to be a common problem amongst users having bought a new macbook air recently. When you go to Preference and click on audio/video item video works but when clicking on another menue and returning to audio/videio picture is gone. Understand has something to do with a recent update von Apple (10.8.5... missing file for 32 bit version).

I was using iTunes on a PC forever and never had a problem. I recently bought a macbook and now I get an error message saying that it cannot connect to iTunes store. Secure network was rejected. Any ideas?

I never got this message on our PC, but recently bought a MacBook Pro and now I get this message. I'm the only one using the computer. I also get a similar message intermittently on my iPhone as well. Anyone have any idea what would be causing this? I tried syncing my phone with iTunes to see if that would do the trick, but the music didn't even transfer over to the macbook. Any help would be appreciated.

iTunes match is a subscription that you have in when you were still in the UK. According to the terms & conditions you'll need to wait for the susbcription to end before you can change your country to iTunes Store USA.

Problems with 'Get Info' in movies and TV Shows

Very Recently I have acquired a problem with my iTunes application and specifically the 'Get info' option in movies and TV Shows. For some reason I when I use apple + I or go to file then 'get info' the information box for the item in question does not appear.I have tried restarting iTunes and also restarting my machine but the problem still persists. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

ZEN Xtra 40G has problems with protected content bought from MSN Mu

I bought a few albums from MSN Music. These songs are the only ones I have ever had problems with.
Basically When I am playing one of these songs and try to Fast Forward through the song I get a Playback error and the player locks up. Also If am playing one of these songs and shut off the player, when I turn it back on It says the song is playing and there is no music (It is locked up).
Also I have another issue, although it may be by design it is pretty annoying.. If I try to play these songs through media source when I have my Zen extra connected with a USB cable media source returns with. "The selected file is protected and cannot be played in media source".
Anyone else having similar issues with protected content?
I have already upgraded my firmware and driver..

I've never used WMAs, let alone those with DRM. At a guess the license probably prevents you from copying back to the PC i.e. it's a one way only transfer.
I think you need to check with the music store you bought from as to whether you can download the tracks again to your PC. This is one of the irritating things about WMA and DRM, although perhaps there are methods to back the files and the licenses up. I don't know enough about the technology, but suffice to say for the moment I'm steering clear, buying CDs, and using MP3 to encode them.

Activation problem with Photoshop CS (bought in 2003)

I'm using Photoshop CS (bought in 2003) and Windows 7. Since there was some problem with Windows, it has performed a recovery process. After the recovery, Photoshop requires me to activate the software thru internet which is not working. Please help. Thankyou!

Interlace problem with fast pans, camera moves... any advice?

Hello: I have a video project, edited in FCP (from SD DVCAM tape source). I exported as a standard 4:3 Quicktime movie, and then encoded as H264 video using the multipass 3ivx codec in Cleaner.
I now get a blurred horizontal line on camera pans. The blur appears as a broken line on the lower third of the picture.
Should I not tick the "Adaptive" box?
I have tried using the de-interlace Eliminate Top Field and the Interlace Auto settings. In both cases I ticked the adaptive box. In both cases I still get a blurred broken line in the lower third area of the video on camera pans.
I tried a third experiment using DVFilmMaker. I set it up to de-interlace only on movement, and to blur horizontal lines on Motion (thinking this might help to at least give a more natural look to the picture break-up I was already getting).
Alas, no improvement.
Yes, if I had a time-machine and extra bucks I would have shot Progressive... but I didn't... so I'm trying to get the best out of what I have.
Any thoughts... anyone?

Thanks for the info. Just for the record, I have tried all these things too in Compressor, QTPro, Cleaner and DVFilmMaker. I get the same problem with all (a blurred line on fast camera pans)
My preference for Cleaner (and it's only my opinion) is that it has a more intuitive user interface for correcting gamma, color, image size, bit-rate, without having to search or go to multiple menus. You also see the video as it encodes and visually check any problems with gamma, etc. You can also do a visual before/after check. I guess it's the devil I'm used to.
Thanks for all the info re. alternatives to Cleaner... but it's not really addressing my original (and existing) problem.

Problems with my recent/ missed called showing

I'm haveing a problem with my iphone 4 . I updated it and I am no longer able to get my phone to show recent/ missed calls.

Double tap the home screen hold down on the phone app until you see the red minus sign and close out of the app. Then open up the phone app again and check your recent tab and see if it shows up.
If that doesn't work, then do a reset hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up.

On my iPhone 4, every time I try to download a free app, it tells me there was a problem with a recent credit card purchase. Why? It's FREE!!
