Problem with Accordion spacing

On this page: http://www.dora.state.co.us/insurance/consumer/Renters.html, there is a large amount of space between the end of the Accordion panel and the bottom of the page. I know why it's happening but how do I get rid of it?

I found some very useful information there, unfortunately, not the answer to the problem I'm having.
The accordion panel itself works pretty well. The problem is that AFTER the end of the panel, there's a huge block of white space below it.
I did figure it out: the code sets a very large height for the Accordion table; I just had to make it a lot smaller to get rid of the white space.
Thanks for your help - I did find some coding from your link that made the page better, or at least printable.

Displaying problem with accordion

Hi. I'm facing this issues a long time. Sometimes it is
working, sometimes not....
If you click panelTab 'a little bit' quicker and not so nice
(meaning double clicking, clicking immediately another accordion
tab after you clicked previous), previously clicked tabs
accordionPanelContent is still visible and it is displayed over
opened panel below. everything is so strange. sometimes it works in
FF and in IE, sometimes nowhere, sometimes just in FF etc etc... it
occurs when enableAnimation is set to true, especially with high
duration set. im really confused.
i searched on net for some solutions but i found just
"solution" for dojokit accordion (and there was said that this
occurred just in IE, but it occurs in FF too - at least in my case)
but nothing on adobes spry accordion.
so i'm wondring if anyone in here faces similar strange
problems with this...

Problems with accordion and animation

hi,
I have problems with the animation of the accordion widget
Accordion with 3 panels
panel1 no link but three subpoints with links
(for example: panel1: home, sublinks: me, you, us)
panel2 is a link with no sublinks
panel3 no link but two subpoints with links
PROBLEM:
If I turn on panel1 the animation works (there is no link on
panel1)
If I turn on panel2 the animation DON'T works (there is a
link on panel2)
what am I doing wrong that there is no animation ?

Sorry kimblas, you are quite right! That'll teach me not to
jump in without reading the comments :) OK, make a few changes
suggested by Steve, and played around with the css as per the
example (I think). It now works fine in Firefox if a little slow
(I'm assuming this is to do with the Flash movie and my painfully
old PC) but in IE7 it still wants to display the whole of the
selected content prior to the animation. Interestingily this wasn't
the case until I began to tinker to the recommended settings.
Unfortunately I can't get back to where it was to suss out what
code sorted it, nothing now seems to make a difference. Any
ideas?

Problems with line spacing?

Hey all
I have some problems with my OS X behavior. This morning, when I restarted the computer line spacings in OS X were screwed. The text is strange, in some programs, but not all. Here are two screen shots to show the problem:
The menu bar acting strangely (charged is like superscript):
iTunes have problems too, the line spacing is very small. This happens in my browsers too (Firefox, OmniWeb) but not on every homepage, but for example on Facebook and Google:
Anyone who knows how to solve the problem?

Okay, I solved the last problem. By completely removing the false Lucia Grande font iTunes is back to normal. It seems like I, by mistake, had a Lucia Grande font with wrong line spacing, which was overruling the system font.

Problem with Accordion Panels

Hi
I have an issue with Accordion Panels.

You can see in the link above that I have Accordion Panels on the right side that say open/close tip. The first one open and close and displays the tip. All the others do the same but when they open then push the one under it down. The first one does not do this and I like this a lot better. Any ideas how to make them all work the way the first one "Enter the Character's name" works.

Problem with Accordion/embed fonts in AS

Hello,
I have a package named "accordion" in my Flex Project.
In there, I have a file named "Accordion.as" with the content:
include "AccordionHeader.as";
[Embed(systemFont='Arial', fontWeight='bold', fontName='accordionHeader', mimeType='application/x-font', embedAsCFF='false')]
private var font1:Class;
Then I have the file "AccordionHeader.as" in same package "accordion".
But Flash Builder returns an error with the message:
"Packages may not be nested".
What am I doing wrong?
I tried to create a separate file for the class "font1" but it didn't work. I read that it could also be that i forgot a brace, so now I'm confused why this error appears.

Problem with Character spacing with RTF

I currently have this problem:
We have a RTF template, displaying a kind of sticker for our company including several lines of text (Company name, Service, Address, email, tel/fax, Internet website)
To mimic a justification, our users, who prepared the template, for each line of text in the sticker , formatted the text including character spacing (extended spacing of 3.1 pt, scale 100%,in Font Times size 10; extended spacing of 6.8 pt, scale 100%,in Font Times size 8; ...)
We save the template, reopen it for testing purposes: all is correct, nothing has been lost.
But when testing from BI Publish tool, using the RTF view for the template, or when testing in real conditions (fusion with Data, output format being RTF), all these formattings (characters psacing) have been lost.
Any idea?

Can you post the template and data to the TAR.
Im double checking but I do not believe we currently support the character spacing you are setting through the font dialog.

Problem with accordion widget flashing open and shut when page loads

why is it that my accordion widget flashes open and shut when the page is loading (see http://vincentballmusewebsite2013test.businesscatalyst.com/digital-illustration.html#.UVDr Ehx7JyII) have tried everything to solve this, and Adobes customer service is terrible they don't get back to you when they say they will.

Thank you Zak for your help, I spent 5 hours going round in circles trying to fix that problem and that's all I needed to hear, a bit of honesty and integrity.and yes, Adobes terrible customer service has still not got back to after promising 2 level technical support to contact me last Monday, I wish there'd keep their promise
Pamela, did you try my test website or my own website and if so my own has now no accordion widget on it and my test website may need you to try loading a few times to see if it really works or not, sometimes it does actually work even on a pc but most times not.

Problem with accordion behaviours

Hi, with the new update, my accordions are not behaving as I set them up initially and I cannot use the new settings to effect any changes. I am aware that they have been updated, etc. I have them all closed initially and even though "Overlap items below" is not selected, they still overlap objects below them when I expand them.
Here is an example of a page I uploaded with the previous version (at the bottom of the page) and how they "should" work http://www.laureus.co.za/about.html.
So when I export it now, it just overlaps my footer completely.

I replied to him that I have seen issues with the accordion not showing up correctly, specifically in Camino.

Tree expand problem with Accordion Component

While using Accordion component with creationPolicy="all", tree components which are placed in accordion's different panels, will not expanded at creationcomplete.
Trees are created perfectly but not expand its level at initial creationComplete time.
If I placed tree in regular panel and executed, tree levels are perfectly expaned.
Expand level code is called at creationComplete of Tree.

Problem with Accordion Widget INSIDE Sliding Panel Widget

Hello,
perhaps I should not do this, but I nested an Accordion
Widget inside a Sliding Panels Widget:
- There are eight Panels.
- Each one contains a complete Accordion.
The sliding works fine, and so does the Accordion animation,
but the text inside the Accordion Panel Tabs won't move along, when
a tab is activated. I need to hover the mouse over the accordion to
make the panel texts appear again.
Of course, when I un-nest the widgets and move the Accordion
widget out of the Sliding Panel widget, everything is fine.
My question is:
- am I demanding "too much" by nesting the widgets?
- or should this basically work, and the problem arises from
rivalling scripts?

The horizontal top menu will activate the sliding panels, but
as of now only the leftmost menu item contains an Accordion (I know
the CSS does not look nice yet).
Is there anything I can optimise to get this to work?

XML data set problems with Accordion widget

I have a dataset, which returns the data as shown below:

As you can see, some of the nodes may have markups, such as
<b> etc. I create the XML dataset as:
var myDataset = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("/path/to/my/URL",
"resultset/result");
And in AccordionPanelTab, I use the title property as shown
below.
<div class="AccordionPanelTab">{title}</div>
But this doesn't work. The Tab displays no titles. If I
remove the <b/> in the <title> it works fine as
expected. My problem is, some titles may have additional mark ups
and some may not. How can I handle this problem?

Forgot to mention that the data comes from third party
service providers, so I have no control over it. For ex: I cannot
have title in a CDATA section.

Problem with accordion gap

Hi, I'm using an accordion component with 2 nested repeaters,
the visualization is OK, except I cannot get rid of a vertical gap
in the list between my sections. The list displays correctly the
items of my first section and after that, it has a gap and then
section 2. How could I get rid of that gaps?

I might stop using repeaters and have a custom component for
each course. There will be many common elements in each course,
probably each will have sections, or perhaps some will not. In any
case, just iterate through the xml data provider and create
instances of your course custom component, which can be based on
VBox as root container. This might help.

Problem with accordion

Hi, I was wondering if somebody could help me, my accordian
panels are working fine in Firefox, but are quite jumpy on IE7, the

The problem you have is caused by your CSS file. If you would
have read the comments in the file you would have noticed that you
should never put any padding on the panel's content area. This is
because the animation will not work properly. You have
padding:0.5em; in your CSS file. If you need padding you should add
an extra div container within the content div container, and add
the padding to that one.

Problems with Accordion styling

I'm quite new to the use of both Spry and CSS but fancied
having ago at setting up the accordion widget for my company's
revamped website - www.update.dcprint.co.uk
This works fine in IE7 Beta3 (I know, but couldn't resist
having a look at the app) but falls over in Firefox/Safari where
the tabs gain extra height for some reason. The CSS is embedded for
ease at the mo, but will be extracted to a seperate file once my MD
is happy with the design. To save me a lot of time does anyone have
an idea what causes this?
