Problem with Add Aonther Row in advanced table

I have requirement create the Region(not a page) ,it displays the all the data from the DB table(t_tbl_personDetails),I created the EO and VO . so plz give me the steps for display entire data and add another row in the advanced table.

How to add new rows in Advanced Table along with attribute value?

Hi,
I have one advanced table that contain one messageChoice and messageTextInput field.
I want to add new rows in advanced table. I can able to add rows using the AddMoreRows button in the footer of the advanced table,
but I want to add attribute value(contactId) each time when new row created.
contactId I am getting from pageContext.getParameter("contactId")
How to achive this? Please suggest.

Hi,
There are two ways to do it.
1. Use create method of entity object, create method fires whenever you creates new row.
2. Handle the event raised by addanotherrow button and write logic there to initialize contactid as you are getting contactid from pageContext so I will suggest you to use this method.
if (tableBean.getName().equals(pageContext.getParameter(SOURCE_PARAM)))
&& ADD_ROWS_EVENT.equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
//write your logic here to default the contact id

Problems with Click a row in the Table

Dear All,
I am new to Java GUI. I got some problems with clicking the row in a table.
My table allows the user to delete some rows fromt the table. When the user click a row or some rows in my table, the delete button should be enabled. It does work in most of the time. But sometimes, even the row being hight lighted, the button is still not enabled.
Do you have any idea for what can cause this problem?
What I did is :
1. add a mouse listener to the table
_userTable.addMouseListener(new java.awt.event.MouseAdapter()
public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e)
userList_mouseClicked(e);
2. then, if the row being selected is > 0, I will enable my delete button.
Can anybody help?

Dear All,
I am getting problems with single selection in a table. Although I have set the selection model to single, if I select a row int the table and then depress Ctrl/Shift multiple rows are selected.
The code for set single selection is :
ListSelectionModel seleModel = myTable.getSelectionModel();
seleModel.setSelectionMode(ListSelectionModel.SINGLE_SELECTION);
Any idea about this? Is this a bug in JAVA?

Problem with sorting a Column in Advance table .

Dear Friends ,
I have a OAF page developed with advanced table region , the table has several columns, now i would
like to sort a column named "Trial number" which is of the type Number .
To accomplish this i have given Sort Allowed : True (Property Inspector) . but when i click on the sort button
i am unable to sort the record . Could you please some one give me some suggestion and help me out .

No there is no Transient attribute involved , could you please tell me what might cause this error .
Basically this page is for inserting a record.

Row Level PPR in Advanced Table with Add More Rows Button

I have programmatically fired PPR event on MessageChoice. But it is in Advanced Table with
Add More Rows Button. When the value is changed in MessageChoice I Show/Hide Custom LOV
through SPEL like this ${oa.BioEmployeePVO.EmpManagerRender} .
But it is <b>hiding the all the ROWS</b> not just the row where the value has been changed.
I even tried with this code and get NULL for rowReference.

[Urgent] Issue with Selected rows in Advanced table

[I have searched archive and found lots of mails on same issue but none were conclusive so i am asking this again]
Hi All,
I have created an advanced table and i want to have functionality of deleting selected rows.
For implementation of this functionality, i have created a selectflag transient attribute [varchar2] and linked it to multiple select item of Advanced table but the table always returns null for selectflag attribute irrespective of row being selected or not.
One thing i have noticed is that i can't supply 'checked value' and 'unchecked value' property in advanced table multiple select item. Is that the issue?
Can anybody please guide, its quite urgent.

Yes, you are right i am using same AM at 2 different places.
Let me just elaborate a little about my implementation:
I have a Page layout region and within this page layout, i have a query bean which performs results based search.
Within this query bean, i have added an Advanced table within that query bean to display the results.
Now coming to multiple AM issue:
1. Page Layout region must have one AM or its an error.
2. If i donot add an AM to advanced table, it doesn't return rows.
So do i need to have 2 diferent AM's for this implementation?

Deleting a row from advance table:urgent

I am using Advance table with "Add Another Row" button.Situation is like this, i have an empty row and an exsist row in my Table. Against each row i have a Delete image.Now my problem is, when I am clicking on the Delete image, i am getting the empty row id which is there is the VO cache,not the one against which i have clicked on the Delete image.Please help me to solve this problem.

For the Delete image, why dont you enable a firePartialAction on that and use SPEL binding to pass a unique id (like an <object>_id) as an EVENT PARAM to the Controller. From there on you can pass it to the AM and delete that particular row.
For adding a new row, if you use the default add row feature in the advanced table and set the Insert Rows Automatically property to true, it should take care of inserting the rows by default at the end of your existing rows, without you having to write any code for it.
If, on the other hand, you want to manually add the new row yourself, such as for defaulting some values into the new row, then you might want to explore if insertRowAtRangeIndex will work.

I am unabel to select all rows in advance table using Select All option

Select All option in advance table selects all rows present in working page but doesnt select the rows which we get by clicking next button ... i am having a requirement to select all the rows with a single click on select all , is it possible ..

I'm using an adf table but i don't want to have the "Select All" and "Select None" options above the table. Does someone know how i have to remove those links?

How to get current row of Advanced table with no submit

I have an advanced table with an 'Add another button'. When an empty row is created by clicking this button, LOV is used on the first column to populate other fields of the row. The rows of the table carry a button called "Add dependencies" whose functionality is to take the user to a different table to add rows to a different VO. This button is just a button and not a submitButton. I am passing the row's primary key as part of the URI as Vo attribute FdTaskId={@FdTaskId}
The button works perfectly fine for database fetched rows (rows already present in the database), but, for the rows created using 'Add Another button', though LOV populates all fields including the primary key, the URI parameter passes null to the next page. That means, the VO attribute is not set. This works fine only when a 'submit' happens in the first page. For example, if I click Add another row again, then the previously inserted row passes the primary key fine as part of {@FdTaskId}.
Could you please help me how I can resolve this issue?

I am doing exactly that. My issues is that, VO attribute is passed correct for the table rows which are fetched from the database. For the table rows which got created through 'Add Another button', the VO attribute passed through URI as {@FdTaskId} is returning null. The VO attribute sets only when a form submit happens. For example, after adding a row through 'Add another row' button, click the same button again to add one more row and now go back to previously added row and now you can see that its VO attribute is set ({@FdTaskId} carries value )

Weird Problem with Add Row Button in Master Detail Page

I have a page that was created with a Master Detail Wizard. When I click the Add Row button on our Production Environment, the row counter increments BUT no blank row shows on the screen.
In our Development Environment, when I click the Add Row button, a blank row appears as expected. Thinking there was some problem with the production app, I exported the Dev version and imported into Production. Still no blank row.
Thinking perhaps it had something to do with the data, I copied our production application data back into the development application tables. Still, the development app creates the blank row where the production version does not.
I even used the same browser window for both environments and still get the same results. This was working fine in production then just stopped one day.
The only clue I have is that the Add Row WILL work if the Master Record has no details or less than a page worth. It seems to happen when the detail records are more than one page worth. Also, when I click the Add Row button, it goes to the last page of the list (say three pages of 10, 10, 6) but no blank row shows up. Again, works fine in the development environment no matter how many pages.
Any ideas or suggestions why this is happening? Could there be some environment setting that is causing this to happen?

Issue with link in a row in advanced table -urgent

Hi,
I have created search/results screen and results region is an Advanced table based on a query VO.
One of the columns, Responsibility Name is a link. On clicking this link it should show all the functions in the responsibility in a new screen.
The issue is once I click th elink in any record and come back to the advanced table and click 'Next 10' or 'previous 10' I get Browser back button error.
I item type of the adv table column is 'link' with destination URi = path of the new OA page and target = _blank.
If I change the colun type to Message Style Text from Link then the 'Previous10' or 'Next 10' works fine.
Whats the issue with this and how can I solve it?

How to reorder rows in advanced table

Hi ,
I have a requirement to create a advanced table on a page which has col say A,B ,C
i need to create 2 rows as the pageload which will show fixed values in column A for initially created two rows
1) free
2) chargeable
after this if user clicks on the add another row button
he should create another row and Column A should be editable and user has to fill value as below
3) Extension
i am able to do this much on the page, but the problem is with ordering of rows
order of rows should be
1) free
2) chargeable
3) extension
but when user click to create the row it always create the row on the top rather than on bottom

How to get the values of all rows in advanced table

HI All,
I am using an advanced table to enter the values for the service contract line (its a custom page)in that advanced table i ahave column with lov called task number for that task number once i had choosed one task number and creating one more row using add anethor row button i want to restrict the user to not to choose the task number which was entered in the previus row.
Or if this is not possible i want to restrict the user by showing an error message when click on the submit button by saying you have choosed the duplicate task number please choose a uniqu task number
please give some hints

your approach will have two steps
1.) use the row refernce and get the value of task number of the row which is enterd by user .
2.) use getRows in range and compare values of task number of every row with the user selected value ,if value match then throw error.

How to add the rows formatted as table headings, Tables headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page.

i am facing problem while generating Test Result word document after successful execution of TestStand.
The Problem is :
i want to add rows Formatted as table headings, table headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page(marked as Red).
Example:
Page No. 1
|     Test case Number | Test Step number      |
|      100                         |            100                   |
Page No. 2
|     Test case Number | Test Step number      |
|      200                         |            300                   |
Test Result word document should generate with Table headings(marked as Red) in every pages of the document, but i am not getting as per above example.
Please through light on this.

i want to generate MS-word report for TestStand after successful testing using MS-word2000.
Test report contains Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.
In my program i have customized all fields i can able to generate test report which contains Verification engineer name , test mode, test date, start time, end time Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.etc....
To put all values of test case number, Test step number, Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status in to table for each time, i will
insert a row into table every time values arrives, once the table exceedes its page size it moves to the next page, next page should start with table row header but it start with values of above said parameters.
so i'm not able to repeat table row header for each page.
Please find the attached file for your reference.
