occurs several times an error message in Microsoft Office Excel that says it has experienced a problem with the complement of adobe livecycle rights management es2 extension for microsoft office if the message has appeared several times should disable the add and check for an update.
will refer to this error? as it has sought to upgrade and there is no error and remains not only to excel but also for word.

Currently, the Rights Management ES Extensions for Microsoft Office plugin is only supported on English, French, Geman and Japanese versions of Office.

I have encountered a problem in my company...... my comapny has around 1 million documents need to apply policy, and many of those have another documents embedded in the parent document. When I use LC PDF Generator to convert, those embedded file(s) would become an icon image and the content is lost. So I want to apply the policy directly on the document, but seems that doesn't support Chinese Office.

I have problem with Adobe ColdFusion Server Manager.
I have a problem with Adobe ColdFusion Server Manager when you log on and connect to the server. An advantage of the settings do not load.

the Errors View button display’s the yellow ! sign. Without a better guide I just thought that is a normal button icon until I noticed Charlie comment earlier in the thread and I thought hold up that is not normal.
As it is when I press Errors View I get “no error” which might be because there is none or just simply not giving meaningful details as per some other CF Server Manager limitations previously noticed in other threads on forum here.
I just hope some of that helps the original post to do with the display of the settings on left side. Maybe a better look at the error might help? Does anything get logged in CFadmin UI > Debugging & Logging > Log Files that relates to issue?

Enforce policies (LiveCycle Rights Management ES2) for reader
hello you can apply a policy, created by LiveCycle Rights Management ES2 for the reader?
if so, how do II'm not clear on what you are asking, but if it is "Can you apply a policy to a PDF usinng Reader?' The answer is no.
Reader can open "policy protected" PDFs, and the permissions allowed or restricted by the policy will be enforced in Reader.
To apply a policy to a PDF, you need Acrobat Pro (manual process), or you can use LiveCycle ES2\ES3 to automate the process of applying a policy to a PDF using the the Workbench process design tool or by writing Java code using the LiveCycle APIs.

I have gone through the rights management flow of Livecycle for microsoft office extension.
However, was interested to know about is there any app or SDKs supported by livecycle on mobile devices(android).
Case study of rights management shows that live cycle has deployed and offered solutions in mobile devices using SDKs. However, couldn't find any resources or documents regarding the same.Ok, that means live cycle (in mobile devices) is protecting only pdf documents at this point of time.
So what about in the PC and MAC ? Live cycle has the capability to protect and consume/view office or other documents?
Also is there any plans to support files/documents(apart from pdf) in the android(mobile) devices? -
Ailed deploying components with adobe livecycle configuration manager

I have a problem installing my Adobe Livecycle. When I start the configuration manager, I'm following step by step all options but, after the test server connection, when I deploy the components to application server, i have this error

Microsoft Office has detected a problem with your Information Right Management configuration.
Hi , I have a Windows Server 2012 RMS Cluster with Cryptograph Version 1 and trusted public certificates. I am using AD RMS at the moment with Exchange and it works fine via Outlook Webapp and client workstations.
I have a Windows 2008R2 Terminal Server which has Office2010 Pro Plus 32bit edition that cannot use ADRMS. The Windows Firewall is turned off on all profiles. The images below show some of the errors that
are being presented on the terminal server.
1.This image . When I reboot the server , the first message states , retrieving rights management url and then the error message pops up.
2.When I try and protect a word document: A prompt pops up to sing in with a Windows Live ID or Use a Microsoft Account.
3.The image below is the output from IRM Check. As you can see there is a warning about Office and there are no user or
machines certificates.

In my experience, this error occurs when the client cannot contact the AD RMS server. Can you confirm that the computer is domain-joined and you have registered the Service Connection Point? This the default way the user finds its RMS cluster.
You can also direct the client using registry keys.
I also recommend trying to reach the licensing/certification pipelines directly using Internet Explorer to confirm you have connectivity from the client to the RMS server. Open IE and navigate to
https://adrmsurl.com/_wmcs/certification/certification.asmx and confirm you do not receive an error.

Adobe Livecycle Rights Management iPad
My library offers magazines as pdf. On the Mac, I can open them fine in Adobe Reader. However on the iPad I receive the following message:
With system language set to English: "access to this document ist restricted by this remote server however we are unable to connect to it at this time"
With system language set to German: "der zugriff auf dieses dokument ist durch diesen remote-server eingeschränkt derzeit kann jedoch keine serververbindung hergestellt werden"I have the same problem with the Adobe Reader X v10.1.1 on Android.
DRM protected documents based on the Adobe ID work (I guess).
DRM protected documents based on the Adobe Policy Server obviously do not work.
On the PC there is no problem with the same reader version.

Ramesh.Did you install the Adobe document services on a Java stack and configure them properly? It sounds like that's missing. The ADS is teh runtime component you need to generate the PDFs.

How do I setup security policies without Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management?

First of all I want to excuse for my english language skills . We have about 30 Users which are using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. Our management board defined security policies for PDF files. We exported the security policies (Edit -> Preferences -> Security -> Security Settings -> Export). Then we got a file with the extension 'acrobatsecuritysettings'. Next we moved that file to a folder which everybody has read permissions. We ticked at a test computer "load security settings from a server" and type in the path to the file in this way:
smb://server/share/filename.acrobatsecuritysettings
I guess the syntax is correct but there are no security policies at 'Tools -> Protection -> Encrypt -> Manage Security Policies'. Any ideas?
I am very thankful for each reply.Interesting. Adobe obviously feel that smb is a URL - sorry, no idea what form their URL would take. You could double check that it is accessible with no username or password (i.e. guest access) since you have put no credentials in the URL.
For the intranet (htp) server - you could put it anywhere within the files making up the site. For instance you could create a folder private inside the web root, and put the file in there. You can type the URL in a browser to make sure it serves the credential file. -
Cann't load LiveCycle Rights Management protected books
I cann't load Adobe LiveCycle Right Management protected books in Adobe Digital Editions. Should it be possible?
I can read the books with Acrobat Reader 9, but it would be nice to have then in the library of Adobe Digital Editions.
I cann't even read then in my Sony Reader Library and copy and read them on my Sony Reader PRS-505.
Is there a solution for one of these problems or better both?No, loading PDFs protected with LiveCycle Rights Management is not possible using ADE, you will need to use Adobe Reader, or Adobe Acrobat instead.
